Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. If I could give a negative star I would. Today I entered the store at the capitol mall in Olympia to return a trade in. When we walked into the store we were not greeted by anyone we sat at a table expecting 1 of the 4 employees to come greet us that never happened. The manager and 2 employees were to occupied with what ever he had on his laptop the 4th employee was with a customer. When I decided to leave I walked over to them and asked if there was another store that could help me since they were ignoring me and instead of asking what I needed they told me where another store was. I have been a customer of att since 1992 and have spent a lot of money on your products to be treated the way we were. I will be canceling all of my lines thru your company and will go to a company that values there customers. The staff at the Olympia store are absolutely garbage.i would not recommend anyone to go to that store take your business elsewhere. read more

Wow! What a great group of professionals. I had recently gone to another store to purchase a new iphone and get a new line on my account. The resulting plan change cause my wife to loose service on her device, since the device was older. After spending 1-1/2 hours on the phone with a support rep a patch that got the phone working but a day later we were in the same situation, no service on her device. This time we brought the device into this store and within 5 minutes we we on our way and done. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I went in and received a quote to sell our phones to AT&T. They offered 800 and 1000 for both phones. They said it would be applied to the bill. We then went to apple and purchased IPhones, and when we went in to sell our phones to them they said we would only get 400$ because the original quote was to trade in towards new phones. That it was a promotion that they were doing. We were NEVER told this otherwise we would have purchased new phones with AT&T. When I spoke with the manager Anthony on the phone he continuously stated how they weren't t at fault and couldn't do anything for me. They do not hold up to their word of promises, they don't compensate for lack of communication, they made zero efforts to rectify the situation. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY. read more

Went to the AT&T store when I needed information on my AT&T account... turns out they don't want to help you if you're not a new account, I suppose there is t enough commission to simply upgrade an existing customer of 20+ years. Without looking up my accciunt the told me to go to Best Buy... which is about 60 feet from AT&T. While I ended up ordering through AT&T directly, I spent a bit of time with the "Apple Guy" at Best Buy and I'd rather give him the business because at least he was straight forward. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE! customer service with at&t even tells you to NOT come here!! i got taken advantage of this morning when i came in at 9am right when they opened. i was lied to and taken advantage of. i bought a new phone and this "Gustavo" individual must have saw me coming from a mile away.... my mom just died so my brother and his wife were gonna put me on their plan and take my moms old number. he said no, cancel that line and add a new number, it'll be cheaper bc it'll waive the activation fee. there was a promo for the phone i bought, only $6 a month... but if you cancel a line within 90 days the promo cancels out. he literally told us to cancel a line bc it'll be cheaper, but that cancels out the promo.... so my phone is $20 something a month actually. he added the next up plan AND most expensive insurance plan without even asking me... i was never asked about this "next up" plan OR insurance on the phone.... and he added the most expensive plans on BOTH!!!! my mom just died and you took advantage of me. This review is for great service. Thank you Jamie. I came in on 07/15 with the intention of buying a new iphone. My current iPhone 11 had unexpectedly stopped working, and I was told by an "expert" down the street, at Asurion Mobile Repairs, that my phone was completely done for; zero chance of working ever again. A couple of my favorite quotes from him: - "The motherboard is fried" - "The only thing comparable to this is Water-Damage" Ok, so i drive over to ATT and JAMIE THE WIZARD greets me. She can tell im a bit demoralized because who really wants to shovel out $1k for a new phone? I tell her the news that my motherboard is fried, blah blah, and its basically dead dead. She asks to look at my phone, and lets me keep ranting. As im finishing up my monologue, i say, "i might as well just throw it in the river" and then JAMIE goes, "but why, ITS ON!" While was in full pity-party mode, she was performing a soft-reset on my phone and I didnt even notice. . Went to get new phones, was told i only had 4 days to decide if i wanted to trade it in or keep my old phone. Went to return my old phone &was told i should've had 2 weeks so now im stuck w a phone i dont like very much. He also added insurance and a next step program without my consent. adding a good $50 to my bill. they probably have other good helpful employees. but this one is definitely going to have me questioning anybody who helps me from now on. read more

Went to this store on Dec 29 @ 6:20. Doors were locked and an employee came out and said they closed at 6. I told him him it says 7 online. He said it's been wrong like that for 3 years so I left - upset. It specifically says 'special hours' for December 29 and they close at 7....on the ATT website and Yelp. This is a little lengthy, but I like a good story, so I just assume everyone else does, too. This is a repost of a Google review I did last summer. I spent not-quite-2-hours at the AT&T store in Olympia. My phone had gone into a loop of rapid fire error messages-- all because I hadn't done regular Google Play updates. Apparently. I'll own that. Anyway, I usually go up to the Capital Mall store, because they FIX things. When I go to the AT&T store here in Centralia, they instantly want me to upgrade to a new phone, without trying to fix it. I walked into the Mall store, and the woman who greeted me looked at my phone and said, "Looks like you need a new phone." What. The. What. Groundhog Day. "Nope," I say, "David and Gus have fixed it for me before, so I want to try to fix it first." I assess she's not capable, by demeanor nor skill, because she's very abrupt and impatient, and my eyes are darting around, as if I'm looking for a way out of the Hunger Games, but I'm actually looking around for someone else who might care a little more than not at all. Another employee, Ralph, stops by our table to see what's happening. He digs in, and patiently works on my phone (and shortly into it, the sales manager woman goes off to be not busy at another table). He tries every trick he knows. He has a big bag of tricks. Impressively big bag of tricks. Did I say he PATIENTLY worked on it? After well over an hour, we decide to reset my phone, even at the risk of losing everything, although I was reasonably certain I'd backed things up in Google. He reset it, and sure enough, everything uploaded to my phone, except for some voicemails and a few pics. Admittedly, I'm a horrible cell phone owner. I don't feed and care for it like I'm supposed to do, or even speak its tech language...in fact, if it were a pony, it would've died long ago. But I really appreciate people who are great at their job skills, who give superior customer service, and who make you feel like they were happy to help you. So, here's a big shout out to Ralph Rivera at the Capital Mall AT&T store. Thank you for treating me like a valued customer, and for fixing my phone. You're a Rockstar. Staff conned me into pausing my service and could not cancel as the store was far away. I was using my iPad and it could not cancel the service because it was a tablet and can't receive text messages as far as I know! read more

For being a corporate store they were NOT very helpful. Thanks for making up my mind for switching carriers. After going to a store in Lacey and calling customer service my next option was to go to this store which was across town. They didn't help me with my situation and didn't really recommend any other way to go about it. read more

Never again will I stop at the Olympia Capital Mall AT&T store! These guys are like Vultures and Snake Oil salesmen. Every time I go to pay my bill, and just pay my bill, I get accosted walking through the door and have a couple of reps hovering over me every step of the way (to the payment station mind you). Unfortunately, the payment station was down, so I HAD to talk to a rep.... ugh... I try to be polite and say, "I just need to pay my bill, thank you." and keep walking but, it never stops there. I get the used cars salesman speech and high pressure sales tactics, that I don't want, and have to wade through, until I can get the heck out of there. I've put up with the poor attitudes and tactics for a long time, but today was the last straw, tired of rude reps. Why should I have to defend myself to pay my bill without hassle? I could have easily just walked across the hallway and signed up for Verizon. Trust me, next time, I will. I have no contractual requirements with AT&T and can drop you like a hot potato. Quit being impolite, rude, and down right nasty when a CUSTOMER DOESN'T WANT TO BUY ANYTHING. Seriously, WTH? Is paying my bill NOT important to you guys??? If I could, I'd give 0 stars, but that's not possible. The workers here are nice, except for one. Christina C. This worker in particular has a sort of attitude that should not be presented in any sort of work place. I told her that I didn't want the Next plan, but she kept pushing. When I told her I didn't want it, she told me "I don't appreciate the attitude you're giving me, and it won't get you anywhere with me." We haven't got anywhere. I just came in to get a new phone. Haha, the people here are actually idiots, or just incredibly slimy people. So my family changed to at&t from verizon where they were like "yeah just bring your phone in and we can transfer it". We bring our phones in. They were like these don't have sim cards even though we told you your phone was totally fine when changing from verizon, but you'll just need to buy 3 used phones from us for $1000. -- Or you can just add a line for $35 dollars each (um no, that's actually why we are changing- stop lying to us about things you can do so we could clearly see this wouldn't be a smart switch) So we buy used phones online. Me and mom come in. "Sorry you need to have the owner of the account (my dad) here" I go back to Seattle, while my mom goes back in and gets her phone transferred the next day with my dad-- Because I have to go to my job because most people have better things to do than deal with than At&t day after day. I come into a store in Seattle, this is my third trip in after being told my phone wouldn't work and then after they said I wasn't an authorized user and couldn't transfer. "Everyone else but you is an authorized user" (They totally messed up making me an authorized user in Olympia, by making everyone else on the plan a authorized user, but me.) Nice one at&t, and you also tricked my mom into getting a land line in addition to being complete idiots and not being able to do a really simple job like clicking a name on a tablet. Well done. Way to slime it up by lying to my family and tricking them into buying things. Also the worker wouldn't stop hitting on me, WHILE telling me he couldn't do anything. (No, I don't really want to talk about my ethnicity with you, I more so want you to do your job.) Classy. read more

Shout out to Shaila in the Capital Mall in Olympia, WA. Shaila helped my special needs sister with her new replacement phone. My sister was in tears that she wouldn't be able to call her family on Christmas Day. Shaila calmed her down and was able to fix the phone. My sister had hit so many buttons the new phone was locked. Total salesmen. Just told me whatever I needed to hear to buy a phone. Told me they would give me a military discount, free phone, blah blah. I was only paying $55 a month when I walked in with my broken phone and didn't want a more expensive plan. Was told they would put me on the unlimited data plan (which I didn't need) and I wouldn't end up paying anymore and would get a free phone with a new line. My first bill was $300!!!! There was insurance I never asked for, two full phone lines at full cost, no discounts, was back charged for a month before I even walked in there, and many other incorrect charges. I went into that store 3 different times to get it sorted out and no one knew why or how to help. Covid happened and my bill was $700 3 months later. The people at ATT billing tried to help me but they could only credit me from this billing cycle, not the other two that were not correct, waiting on them to fix. Buyer beware. they will tell you anything for a sale. read more

Went in to upgrade current $800 phone with another $900 phone under trade in program. Waited until end of transaction, after transferring all info from old phone to new phone, to inform us that there was a $30 fee to upgrade and that we had to pay sales tax up front. We were also told that we had to purchase their insurance on the upgrade at the store but we could call customer service to remove. Called customer service 5 days later and they could not back date unwanted insurance or offer any type of credit/allowance for the "upgrade fee"? Been with AT&T since 2005 with 4 lines with all but the newest one out of contract. Called customer service and had retention tell me they couldn't do anything and call the store. Spent 15 minutes trying to reach the store with no answer. They probably just lost a customer, for life, for about $35?!?! How sad! read more

I downloaded this app to write this review for this store alone. Haven't had the same bill once for four months now. They consistently change my rates and plan. Upon signing up I asked for the cheapest plan, guy said I got you. When I got my first bill it was for the most expensive plan with insurance fees. Went to the store and thought I got my plan changed and was hoping to get store credit or something but no I was told to come back when the person who helped me sign up was working... okay yea let me clear my schedule. Second bill comes in for the plan I asked for but still has insurance and protection fees... I call the 611 number to cancel because this isnt what I singed up for, she convinces me not to cancel and that my plan will be correct from now and and that she is adding 17$ for my next bill due to extra insurance and protection fees that I was paying but did not ask for. I get my next bill... of course my bill was raised to the point where the 17$ credit I received was completely pointless. This store is not helpful nor honest. Don't recommend their service, has been a headache since I joined. read more

No clue what Thomas' deal was, but all reps I have ever dealt with at this location (Especially, Christina) have been prompt, courteous, and up-front. If they didn't have an answer, they obtained it and followed up with me later. Though ATT service plans don't currently suit my families preferences, the staff at this location are of a professional quality that I wish Verizon possessed in their store. Which is why I keep coming back to check on their plans, as we would love to switch to ATT, based on interactions had with their staff. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Walked in to look at the Samsung Galaxy S5 and it was locked with a password. We asked the girl that was checking people in (fake eyelashes and hair) if she could unlock the phone for us so I could look at it. All she said was "nope" so my fiancé said "so we can't look at it?" She said "nope not right now someone has to reset it" she refused to find someone to reset it. We walked out very unhappy and they lost a for sure sale I broke my phone and needed to buy a new one and I planned on getting a whole new plan with them because I'm a Verizon customer. So I go into AT&T today to buy a new phone. I get in there and quickly get my name on the waiting list and was told it's a 15 to 20 min hold ok what ever att is always slow. I stood in there for 22 minutes while 2 sales reps just stood there talking to each other and point out people in the store. For 22 mins these two continued to have a conversation with each other instead of helping that forever long wait list that's always there. read more

We are 70 and 80 and not exactly conversant with IPhones . We went into the store today without a scheduled appointment. Who knew? (Apparently everyone but us.) We immediately landed on the reader board in the #1 "Walk-In" position. Within moments of being seated, after the walker was parked, out came the most remarkable customer service person named Kayla. For the next hour, displaying the patience of Job and the friendliness of Ellen, she helped my partner and I transfer one number from one phone to the other; picked out an easy to remember new number for the second phone; set up the appropriate apps on both phones, etc. She even made the type font on my partner's phone extremely large which he really appreciated. All the while, she stayed focused, friendly and efficient. I used to manage a large marketing staff. Customer service reps like Kayla are very hard to find. Give the lady a vacation and a raise! read more

Very disappointed in their customer service. They left information out until end of transaction, until after everything complete. There were extra costs, things added to my plan that I did not request, phones didn't get activated for days after sign up, and all around dishonest, shady employees. Talked to manager the next day and that was NO help. Will not go to this AT&T store again. Buyer beware! read more

Terrible. "Manager" wouldn't even let me finish a sentence before saying no. Bought 2 zagg screen protectors about a year ago. Was told they would install replacements if I ordered them online and brought them in. Apparently because they stopped selling them "a while ago" they won't put them on for me. These folks were really helpful! Went in the other day with a pile of work phones. My employer switched from sprint to AT&T and we needed all the new phones to have contacts migrated from one old phone. I wish I had gotten the name of the person that helped me, but regardless, they were really nice, looked up the sprint model for me, did the transfer no problem in like 5 minutes, and I was on my way. Marissa is fabulous to work with. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I was having problems with a phone I purchased somewhere else, it basically quit working only after a week. And because I didn't keep the box it came in, the place I bought it from said I had to go to At&t to handle it. It took a long while to get this all figured out, but Marissa was with me every step! She even found me discounts and extra data for the same price I was already paying while I was waiting! Even tho ultimately I had to end up going back to the place where I bought the phone to get the issues resolved, Marissa was instrumental is getting the whole situation handled! I loved the Samsung Note 4 that I purchased at AT&T recently. However, I didn't anticipate that the hand surgery I'd had awhile back would create a problem when dealing with the generous size of that phone. The Note 4 was terrific in every way, but the size made it painful for me to hold, let alone use. Beyond disappointed, I returned it to the store a week later in order to exchange it for a smaller phone. I was one very sad human! Fully expecting to pay a restocking fee, I was astonished when the manager told me that under the circumstances, they were going to waive that fee. Patrick and Shar were gracious and professional, as was Kayla, who provided the same great service in the exchange & set-up that she had on the original purchase. Lots of retail shops seem to be striving to provide better service. AT&T went way beyond that! read more
