The man below was groping another employee from behind when I walked in and they seemed upset I ruined their moment. when they finally approached me and I was explaining my issue, he turned to the man he was groping, pointed at me, and said "this is the deep voice mother f*er". **Price Gouging** Back Story: I purchased my new phone from Verizon less than a week ago. The day prior I was at an I-Phone photo class and the instructor said, "You need to run that update." Dutifully I ran the put date that night. The next day I was headed out of town and realized my GPS would not pair with my CarPlay. I did not have this issue prior to the update so I knew it was some singular toggle that needed switched on/off. I stopped at the Verizon store in Willowbrook, a store that seems to lack basic customer service, but this store was on my way out of town. I walked in and they did not seem to be busy. There were plenty of associates standing around. A self-proclaimed manager walked up to me and asked, "What can I do for you?" I explained my situation and that I was fairly sure it was a simple toggle on Siri that was switched to the wrong position. He said, "There will be a $30 service charge to look at your phone." Me, "I just bought this phone less than a week ago from Verizon, not Apple. He repeated himself, ""There will be a $30 service charge to look at your phone. We aren't sure if this will be an easy fix." Me, "Can you look at phone and at least tell me if this will be an 'easy fix'?" He said, "No." and put his hands up in the air as if not to touch my phone. "There will be a $30 service charge to look at your phone." Me, "Is this a corporate store?" He said, "Yes." Me, "And this is how you treat your customers?" He just stood there with a "yes" look on his face. Needless to say, I left angry. I drove north to my traditional store near Oak Brook. Again explained the situation and the associate took my phone from me. Swipe. Click. Click and it was fixed. Hello Willowbrook Verizon! That is what customer service looks like. I have been to the Willowbrook Verizon 1/2 dozen times and have always walked out feeling like they couldn't care less about me. I am just another $ sign. Not just the worst Verizon store but this is the worst store experience of my life. I walked in looking to purchase a phone and there were 3 employees. Two of the them playing video games Madden Football to be exact. They were swearing up a storm and screaming on top of their lungs. The employee who "helped" me had an attitude from the outset and was yawning the entire time. He had an attitude like he was doing me a favor when I asked him about buying a new phone. He could not figure out how to access my account and then said he would be right back and went to the back of the store. After 15 minutes he never came out and I left! The most uncomfortable retail store experience I have ever had, started good with the business specialist Nereida who was very helpful but once I returned to trade in a different specialist was incredibly rude and unprofessional, I expressed that to him and was immediately accosted by the manager that told me to take my stuff and leave and they would no longer be willing to help me, the managers toxic masculinity took over as he yelled at me telling me to put my big boy pants on and behave as well as insisting on an apology. If I could rate this 0 or even negative stars, that's what they'd get. My 88 year old mother-in-law bought a new phone & financed it on our bill. Completely legal! 4 days later she goes in & decides not to finance it & pay it off. They accept her credit card & everything seems fine. Well, I get the bill & it has a monthly payment on it. Spend 1 hour on the phone on Friday & 2 on Saturday only to find out once it's financed, it can't be paid in full for 30 days! What kind of nonsense is that? And if the salesperson didn't know it, then Verizon should stand behind his actions and allow it. Apparently the charge was reversed AFTER she left the store. AND the store can NOT be contacted by customer service at Verizon & the manager wouldn't give his phone number to the Verizon rep at customer service. This is how to NOT give good customer service. As I explained to the man on the phone (not at the store), their store manager, his salesman & their customer service just cost them 4 lines & over $200/month as T-Mobile, here I come! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I was thinking about purchasing an Iphone 7 from a friend with a different carrier. I wasn't sure if the phone would be compatible with Verizon service so I went into this location with the serial number of the Iphone 7 I was considering purchasing and asked an employee if he thought this would work with Verizon's Network. An employee named VICTOR, told me if the phone was carrier unlocked that it would work with Verizon, so I proceeded to buy the phone from my friend. After two weeks talking to tech support it was confirmed that Iphone 7 would NOT WORK with Verizon. So moral of the story, DON'T TRUST ANY OF THE VERIZON EMPLOYEES AT THIS LOCATION. They clearly lack intelligence and can not be trusted with any of your phone/network questions. read more

I will never go to this Verizon store again. When my elderly mother was ill, she dropped her phone. I went to the store solely to replace her phone. I was told that the only way that I could get a replacement phone was to add the hum service to my account. At the time, I didn't want the hassle of traveling to another store. I was also dealing with my own health problems at the time (which I still struggle with). I have called Verizon directly and was helped by Brian. He did an excellent job of helping me to drop the hum service and listened to my complaint. I plan on going to the Woodridge store in the future. read more

Shouts out to Ernie and Johnny who both helped my mom and me in transitioning her to a new phone. In her 80's she still wants a flip phone and is not willing to go the smart phone route. This transaction took two visits as the "new" phone was not in stock. Ernie took care of having the phone shipped to my house, and Johnny helped us on the second visit in with the set up. Both gentlemen couldn't have been more patient, understanding and kind. While I know selling flip phones is not their top priority, as a 25+ year customer, with several lines on my account, this store never fails to disappoint because of stellar employees such as these two! I came in and a Staff person 1)looked me in the eye and asked if I needed help and a customer yells "I think they are talking to me" (Customer 1)and this person serves them fine, I just walked in and didn't know where the line was. I wait in line for 15 minutes and another staff person(2) comes out and the person behind me(customer 3)says nothing and proceeds to explain their issue . I said I am next in line and the staff person was going to help me but staff person (1) says "I'm helping you next ma'am" . The problem is he's nowhere near done with customer 1. The worst! I got my new iphone 12 and had it set up by Best Buy ( who did a great job!). But when I got in my car, the phone calls from the bluetooth did not work- I got a message saying Verizon was not set up. I went to my dealer and we determined the issue was VZ. So off I went to my local store. They actually refused to even look at the issue in my car and THREW me out of the store because I was upset. We've always been coming here because it's pretty much the only game close to us. They've always been pretty good until the most recent customer service experience. First of all we just came here to find out why we may have been double billed for the month of September. The person we were dealing with went to the 'Solutions Manager' as we were right behind her as well. Standing right in front of her (the Solutions Manager) explained to the sales person but didn't ever turn to address us. We even asked "Can you please explain it to us," still in the process, totally blowing us off, never taking the time to explain it to us... wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that we were there, never addressing our request to explain to us. That is crap. Then we were told about the available upgrades, plans and deals for iphone 6. Now we were excited but did not have the time as we were heading out of town. In the mean time we paid the bill (but the bank did not release payment to Verizon yet) So we went in Saturday to get the ball rolling. While our preferred sales person (who worked with us before) was busy, another person was just telling us we needed to do first before the data could be transferred to the new phone...in the mean time, looking at our account. Sunday we came in and were all primed and ready to rock, waited 45 minutes for the sales person who helped us before. When we started the process, she said we cannot sell you the phone until the bill is paid. While we can't control the bank process, and we get it, the problem is.....WITH EVERYONE WHO WAS LOOKING AT OUR ACCOUNT, KNOWING THERE WAS AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE, AND STILL TALKING I6 PURCHASE....DO YOU THINK ANYONE WOULD TOLD US TO MAKE SURE THE PAYMENT IS COMPLETE BEFORE YOU CAME BACK! Verizon associate purposely misleads customers about poor service and lies to weasel out of it.. Purchased an S9+ 1.5 weeks ago. The store associate who offered to apply the screen protector to the curved screen did not properly apply it, leaving a large corner area not adhered to the screen. The associate stated that it can take up to 24-48 hours to completely stick. He said to "come back if it does not get better, and we will fix it." I gave it a few days to work, the affected are only got worse, and I returned to the store within the 2 week return period. I kid you not, the very same associate who originally applied the screen protector was the one to come up to me when I walked in. I mentioned my issue and he said that I had to go through the screen protector manufacturer's warranty. I reminded him of our conversation from 12 days ago and he said that he very loudly and rudely claimed that he did not say anything about a 24-48 hr. period, and insinuated I was trying to get a free item. I asked to speak with the manager and was loudly told they are unavailable for 3 hrs. (I could only help but laugh that the lying associate mentioned another time period to wait). Now I am stuck going through the manufacturer's warranty, causing two issues thanks to the Verizon's employee's lies. (1) I have to return the original horribly applied protector before a replacement comes, so no protection for the new phone; (2) I get to pay shipping at about $8 for the new protector and $4 for sending the original back. Thanks to that instance I can safely say I will not be a Verizon customer for very long. read more

All I have to say is Andre is awesome. He factory reset my LG Revolution because it was working slower than an 80 year old Sunday driver. Now it works like an actual smartphone with only a couple of slow exceptions. He also set me up with a Network extender for my apartment that's an apparent dead zone. Now I can actually get a glass of water without having to call my mom back! He was really helpful in store, but the thing that impressed me most was the fact that he called me 3 days later to see if my phone was working better and if I liked the network extender. So impressive!! I've had a lot of cell phones and a lot of problems, but I've never had anybody who's called me afterwards to check in. Go to this Verizon store and ask for Andre! read more

Manager was rude and less than helpful. All I need was simple 10 min fix for my phone. Was not willing to help. Told me to call the number, which I already had (and they told me to go to that location). She said it would be an hour wait, I said fine I'll wait. She said "fine but nobody's going to help you." They also refused to honor the pricing for different products I was given my an online representative, even when I showed them a written transcript. Second time we went in with a damaged phone still under 2 year purchase agreement but we had an insurance contract. Rather than tell us to use the insurance they wanted to sell us a new phone adding $33 to my bill plus still paying for the damaged phone. Current phone still had 10 payments left, upfront and honest employee would have done what was right for the customer, not for himself. Seems to be a trend here based on reviews. read more

The "manager" HEATHER is either a complete moron or a professional scam artist. We came in September to switch from T-Mobile to a Verizon business plan for my father's company (with the trade-in deal for the iPhone 11). Not only did Heather specifically write it down all the monthly costs, all credits, and details of our plan on paper but she also spent over four hours calling whoever was above her to "make sure" this information was correct. We were promised high-speed internet as this was for business purposes and when we called customer service (4 times in total regarding these issues) were told our plan did not include high-speed Internet (which we specifically asked Heather because we were using this plan for business purposes, she verbally assured us that we had high-speed Internet with this plan). I'm not sure what ridiculous plan she actually signed us up for but we got NOTHING that we actually needed. Our calls and texts get dropped constantly, we can't use GPS services to go from location to location as it frequently cuts out, and and video calling for business conferences don't go through unless using Wi-Fi from home... This was by far the worst service and WHEN WE CALL HEATHER TO DISCUSS THIS SHE IS EITHER NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE OR AN ASSOCIATE TELLS US SHE HAD JUST "STEPPED OUT". It's obvious this woman cares more about stealing people's money vs doing her actual job. I have attached a photo below of said promises in Heather's very distinguishable handwriting. We're getting charged between $300 and $500 a month for NO service when it was supposed to be $175 plus tax monthly and got NONE of the credits yet from trade in. We can't cut our service and go back to T-Mobile or we will have to pay for 3 iPhone 11s in full... Since Heather is not responding to any of our calls, if someone from corporate or Heather's boss views this we would really appreciate getting into contact with you ASAP before we lose any clients from these service issues. read more

I went to this store after a bad experience with another store . . . and Verizon still sucks! I was sold Edge plan upgrade by someone in the store . . . but he lied about the terms of the plan. He said if I buy a Motorola Droid Turbo I would get a $15 credit on my monthly bill. Well, I'm only getting a $10 credit, AND he signed me up for some $3 cloud service that I didn't ask for and don't use. I called Verizon today and they said I wasn't eligible for the $15 credit. So why did he tell me that? It could be he just doesn't have the smarts, or it could be he was short on the number of Droid Turbos he had to sell that week. In any event , if you sign up in the store, be prepared for charges you weren't expecting. read more

You should know this store is an independent retailer and not a corporate store. I was "sold" on the Edge plan and completely deceived as to what the plan actually offers. I upgraded my 4S to a 5S this past summer with the understanding that when the iPhone 6 came out I could upgrade to that at no charge. NOT the case. When I called the store, they called this a "misunderstanding" however my husband and I both feel we were lied to deliberately misled so they could sell us a phone. I have learned that they buy the phones from Verizon and then sell them so clearly all they cared about was selling us a phone. read more

My daughter went in to have her phone fixed at the Willowbrook, IL Verizon store. They said she needed a new one. We had insurance so they would mail her one. We had just recently moved to Tucson AZ and she was going to school in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. They didn't discuss where they were mailing it so they mailed it to us in Tucson. We then needed to mail it back to her at once! When I called to complain to the Verizon 800 number, they said we needed to talk to the store. We talked to Lisa, the store manager, and she indicated that Verizon would pay for shipping the phone to my daughter. She was very helpful and did credit my account for the $84.00 it cost to ship the phone to my daughter overnight. They made a mistake and were very kind and considerate to correct it.
