I came into the store today to return a phone I purchased because I got a new one in the mail from Asurion Insurance. My phone was on its way out, so I stopped by the store to pick up a new one. Opted for the iPhone 13. Adrian was very helpful and patient. He walked me through all the options, was kind, and helped me make all of the necessary decisions. He was very honest, which I appreciated. The other employees were also very nice and helpful. I left feeling happy with my purchase and experience. I would definitely work with Adrian again. This store is different now, as these guys are less technicians now and more salesmen. Most technical aspects of things go through the Verizon app or hotline, which can make things take a bit longer, but that is not their fault. This is the only Verizon store in north Jersey that I will come to for serving my Verizon devices. They're quick and efficient. I needed to upgrade my phone this past week and there was a problem with the system - Brooke, one of their specialists, sat and tried to work through the problem for 2 hours so that I could get my phone before an upcoming trip. After trying everything possible, they were able to fix it over the weekend and I was able to come in the Monday after and Ronald, another amazing specialist, was able to have the phone there and do a quick turnaround to get it set up for me before I left out of the country. I will drive to avoid the Verizon in my city and come to this one in Secaucus because of the availability of devices and the helpfulness of staff. read more

I had an appointment from 2PM-2:30PM today. I arrived at the store at 2PM. We were checked in by an employee when we arrived. After we were checked in we waited around the store for 30minutes. Not one employee spoke to us or even acknowledged our presence. Frustrated and disappointed by the complete lack of care or initiative by all of the employees we left. What's the point of requiring people to make an appointment if it doesn't expedite the in store experience at all? This location is a joke. read more

I never write reviews online but in this situation I feel I need to since it would be the right thing to do in order to warn others of the underhanded practices I encountered here and lost money as a result. When upgrading our phones we were told that we'd get a $150 off the purchase of an IPad. I decided to take this deal. Was I was not told was that I would have an additional line added to my plan plus a $40+ installation fee. This all came afterward and was on my bill despite the fact I paid for the taxes and upgrade fees for the phones upfront. Be very careful in dealing with these employees. If possible go to a different or better yet a different carrier. I got stuck paying a termination fee due to their shady practices. ----Follow up to Verizon comment. I've been in this location twice lately and haven't been impressed. The first time I was browsing the new phones trying to compare specs and prices but not intending to make a purchase that day. I was curious about internal storage, operating system, camera megapixels, etc and was surprised that kind of information wasn't on the info cards next to the phone. When I asked the man helping me he was very friendly but not able to answer my questions. So I left the store and did my research online. After I purchased my new phone I went back in the store to find a case for it. Again, I just wanted to browse and see what was available. For some reason all the cases for my phone were in the back so someone had to bring them out and show them to me. I didn't care for any of them so told they guy thank you but I wouldn't be purchasing any and he seemed really annoyed with me. It was so obvious from him that I felt embarrassed that I wasn't buying one and couldn't get out of the store quick enough. On a positive note the store must have had 15 employees in it and only 2 or 3 customers so you don't have to worry about waiting for someone to help you. The computer wasn't working and when I asked him for help, he looked at me as if I had three heads. And tells me to swipe my card after I tell him it's not working. Been here for 2 hours. The "manager" "JAMIE" I believe so came over to help us while helping us she kept going back to her family/friend member clearly who she gave a free charger from the back counter. She even let him take the charger from the counter himself in front of all the customers, what example is she setting for her employees?? look at the cameras you can clearly tell her & all of her employees were completely distracted. (All of them were taking personal phone calls) in a room full of customers. The service we were provided has been horrible and extremely unprofessional. While she was "helping"us she continued taking personal phone calls then later claiming it was "her manager" on the phone. I was originally going to rate this higher because of the experience I had BUT I knew I had to wait until the bill came in to see if the sales specialist kept his word and just like I assumed - HE DID NOT. My sister & I went to upgrade her phone and while we were there Sydney F. was assisting us. He was kind and helped us out with what we needed but he looked at our account and said their was a promotion going on where we could receive 2 free tablets. I know the way retail works and that just sounded too good to be true. Like what's the catch!? My issue is avoiding to tell the whole truth. He said nothing on the bill would change since we weren't upgrading our GB. We saw an increase of $100 on the next bill because he failed to tell us about the activation fee. We didn't even open one of the tablets because I had a feeling in my gut (that I should've listened to) that we would be going back. In the end we had two options: he would do us a courtesy and remove one of the $50 activation fee or we could return both tablets and pay the $140 restocking fee for his mistake. Then he said it was on the receipt which he never gave me. What a mess. At least he apologized. Another previous trip to this Verizon was dealing with another sales associate (forgot her name) but this lady was just plain rude, and clearly was upset that we had her doing extra work. She gave us a choice (Gift card or credit on the phone bill) and we chose the gift card. She rolled her eyes, went to mumble something to her co-worker, and finally began to do the work she didn't want to do- which consisted of her connecting the printer, loading it with paper, and printing the gift card out. OMG poor you. Why the hell give the customer a choice if you are going to be huffing and puffing as you do it. I've learned my lesson: AVOID this place for sure! read more

I always hold my breath when going into Verizon Wireless stores because I tend to have really terrible experiences. A Verizon Wireless employee down at the Sea Girt location makes my blood boil so I don't go there anymore if I can help it. I've recently moved to Secaucus and I'm in dire need of a new phone. My iPhone 5 is due to be upgraded and I've been doing a ton of research for months. I may switch over to Android because I've read that screen resolution, battery life, and camera are all better on their new phones, and the customization sounds fun to me. I wanted to make sure I upgraded to the newest technology and that I'd be happy with my purchase once I make the plunge, henceforth I waited forever for the LG G4 to come out so I could compare it to the Samsung Galaxy S6 (I'd eliminated the HTC M9 from the running in the past few months). I'm ready to do it. I go into the Verizon Store and tell the guy what I'm there to do. He asks if I want to upgrade right away and speak to a rep, so I told him I wanted to play with the phones first. I do... for a very long time... I went in leaning towards the G4, but started liking the S6. No one came over to see if I had any questions or anything. I start talking to an employee at the counter after being there, checking out the phones to the point where I had to put a time limit on myself, that if I didn't make a decision in the next 10 min. then that was it. I'm pretty much settled on the S6. The man informs me he doesn't handle the phone service. He gets the original employee's attention that I had talked to when I walked in. He comes over and I ask him a few questions about a couple of the phones... mainly, can you tell me about some of the features? Do you know if Verizon is going to enable some of the missing G4 features? Have you gotten good feedback on either of the phones?... pretty general questions. He says he'd have to get a sales rep to help me because he didn't know much about the phones, especially because the G4 just came out. So a lady comes over and I'm asking her the same questions and she tells me the G4 just came out so she doesn't know either, and the only thing she cold tell me about the S6 was that the camera was really great, and she proceeds to go into her iPhone (6?) and show me pictures her bf took with his S6 compared to hers. I'm not even considering an iPhone at this point so I'm not sure where the sales strategy was here. Then I ask her if the G4 comes with the leather back cover, she goes in the back, and then I think she forgot what she was doing, and then, finally, she yells from across the room, "Oh, no we don't have those backs," and never comes back over to me. Soooo yeah.... I never upgraded. I felt like I had to pull teeth to get someone to talk to me, and then they knew nothing about their products. I know that I've been researching a lot, but as a sales rep, wouldn't you research your products, or at least play with them in the store so you could provide your knowledge and expertise to your customers and make more sales?? I've Google mapped other Verizon stores, so hopefully I can upgrade today. Otherwise, I'm finding a Best Buy and trying my luck there (but then does Verizon penalize you for taking your sale to Best Buy if you experience problems?) Came here to quickly upgrade my phone. Waited over an hour. Noticed an additional fee called the "activation fee" during check out. This is a fake 40 dollar fee that I've never heard of. The Apple Store does not charge it nor does any other retailer. Don't go here. read more

Buyer beware! these guys are scammers, they add additional unnecessary features and plans you don't need nor would want just because they make commission on them. I thought I was better off going to a company store to avoid scams, only to find insurance, and multiple third party features on my monthly bill the store rep added for commission. I want to compain about an employee named Keshia in the Secaucus, NJ Mill Creek location. She was rude, talked down to us because we didnt want to buy the top of the line phone, treated us badly because we didnt buy her iphone case bundle or insurance and after we purchased a phone and returned for another, they lied to us and said they didnt have it when five minutes earlier she had it in her hand. I'm in the Verizon wireless store right now and there is 20 -30 minute wait. However there is 3 people helping the same customer. Sooo.... if there is so many people waiting , why is there 3 people helping one person. Also, there is not reason for the supervisor to say that people to do not know how to be patient when it is very frustrating as a customer to wait so long to be spoken to. Also, why have someone stand at the door and take names but not help take care of all of the customers waiting. That's not good service. I feel like customers pay so much for the service of Verizon to have an issue like this. The supervisor I guess is supervising people that already are doing their jobs instead of helping customers. I have gone there many times before. This past week I went 3 times because of issues with my account and a phone problem. The last time I went out of the 3 I received the worst customer service possible. Two specific associates were really rude. One of them shook his head at me and started smirking. They started whispering to each other and making comments. They both decided they were going to hide in the back and in order for them not help ,when they weren't doing anything when we got there. They gave my two year old daughter an attitude. It was horrible. I have worked in retail before and never, ever have I treated a customer like that before. Because of customers, like myself is that they are able to take their pay check home every week. So their behavior is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend Verizon and especially this store to anybody. read more
