Terrible. 40 minute wait for tech support. I wanted to try out some new phones while I waited, but they were all being used by 20-something, visibly high homeless guys, who were just surfing the Internet and sending text messages. Then my turn finally came, and they just said "oh, you can download the my verizon app and just fix it yourself." I told them that I waited 40 minutes and wanted help, but they just told me again to download the app and then went on to "help" the next person. read more

There were no customer service representatives available in the store and they would not let us in until a representative was available... So we waited in the cold... They said it was a new policy but i was in the store yesterday and could wait inside for a service representative so i am confused by this absurd policy. There are chairs inside... So I've been with verizon for about 5 years now and have had aboslutely no issues. Customer service always helps me quickly on the phone. I get good reception nearly everywhere in Seattle (there's a one block dead spot I found on Yesler between 2nd and 3rd). When I go into a store I try to go when I know there won't be a wait (like at 2 or 3 in the afternoon on a weekeday). Then I get someone interested in getting me the plan that's going to fit my needs. Everytime I've wanted to switch something the verizon rep has always been willing to take off $100 here or there to make sure I signed up for what I was already intending to sign up for when I came in. Whenever my phone has broken, Verizon has always replaced it no questions asked. I've been EXTREMELY happy with my Verizon service at this location and many others. read more

Great customer service! After being frustrated with my (now former) carrier's service, I decided to pop in to Verizon while I waited to catch my bus home from downtown. I was greeted right away, wait time was maybe five minutes, and I left with exactly what I wanted. My associate knew the ins and outs of the plans and devices. Of course, he tried to add on accessories (it's retail, they have to) but when I said no, he said, "That's cool. I'm not one to try to push things you don't want." Granted, I came in on a weekday, but it was after work, and I'm still pleased that I was leaving a happy camper in around 45 minutes, including wait, service, and activation of the phone. Other locations have at least a 45-minute wait just to speak with someone. read more

Which do I comment on? The service at this particular location, or Verizon service in general? Ooo, I know, I'll do both. First, the location. I'm torn on this front, as I have actually had an issue solved by the people at this location. The speaker on my phone would just stop working every once in a while until I adjusted the volume. I took the phone in expecting either the "you need a new battery" or "your software is old" solution. It was the latter. Much to my surprise, it seems to have actually worked. The reason I'm torn is twofold. One, I wanted my phone to be broken so I would have an excuse to drop Verizon and get an iPhone. Two, the damn queue system. I hates it. When you walk into this store, there are several people behind a few counters. As is SOP in 99% of retail stores out there, you are inclined to walk up to the counter. WRONG. Go back to the door and try again. Last time, you walked right past the kiosk you must use to queue up. No standing in lines here. You need only enter your name, phone number, and a short bio to be placed into the virtual line which is displayed on the screens above you. You know, those screens that you walked right under to get to the counter the first time. The counter with 4 employees behind it and nary a customer waiting for service. I think what I'm trying to say here is that the queue system is a bust, and it must be done away with. Lines weren't broken, don't try to fix them. As for Verizon service in general, well... I can't complain as much as I used to. When I lived in Capitol Hill, my reception was awful. In my apartment, I got 1 bar or less. Now that I've moved over to Queen Anne, I always have 4 bars or more. I am annoyed at how I have to sign up for more service to downgrade (or even upgrade) my plan. I am very annoyed that they put service contracts on both of the lines I signed up for in my name. Sadly though, this is pretty standard across most carriers. The carriers that don't employ some of these practices unfortunately just have shitty phones. I'll still end up being a techno whore for the iPhone because of it's web surfing capabilities, but at least I'll enjoy getting decent reception until I do. read more

I'd been paying more than my monthly bill for some time and by the end of June I had a $490.00 credit balance with Verizon Wireless so I felt it was time for a refund. I called Customer Service, was transferred to the billing department where they told me they would "investigate" my account and would follow up with a resolution. "Investigate"? I'm being "investigated"? WTH is this all about? Anyway, that was all they would tell me. Later I received both an e-mail and text message to assure me they would follow up with a resolution. It's now 3.5 weeks later and not a word has been received. I've sent 2 e-mails but there's been no response. Three and 1/2 weeks later they refuse to tell me if a refund has been processed. Never go here. This has been an awful experience. We switched over four lines and two watches in February from T-Mobile. We had switched 4 years prior to T-Mobile from Verizon and missed Verizon. The sales dude seemed irritated and short on time. He talked up so many deals, promotions etc etc. we got the BOGO for watches, and iPhones, and got two other phones independently for the other two lines. It took weeks for my watch to be delivered when I was promised two day. Our plan was messed up initially and I had to call in twice to fix it. Between the watch discounts, paperless, autopay, etc. We were not offered insurance, cases, screen protectors, or anything. We also processed trade ins for two watches and an iPhone after the original purchase as we were talked into it. Verizon is literally stealing these from us. They will not give us the promised credits nor return the devices, and are now saying our whole plan is dependent on the trade ins that were done after the fact. Three months after paying our final T-Mobile bill we realized they were still charging us for the watches which were supposed to be cancelled with the phones by Verizon. I have called multiple times a month, spending between 1-2 hours each phone call to figure things out with no results. Service isn't as good as T-Mobile either in Mexico or around as I drive. Very unhappy with the service, the sales rep, the process, and being ripped off my three devices aka $950.00 in promised value. read more

My review is really mixed. If I was to give the manager Ken a review, you would be seeing a solid red five star review. And Sara, another employee there would also be deserving of a high review. Here is where this gets ugly. William T. (Customer Service - 10 year Verizon employee apparently).... would get ZERO stars. My situation was unusual. It involved the original ipad and conversion to an ipad 2. William was full of unwelcomed and harsh "no's!". He did not listen, was not customer service oriented, he was flat out rude. His actions increased my frustration and the situation just got worse. I asked to speak to a manager and William informed me that "I could, but he was just going to tell me the same thing". In walks Ken (the manager - I hope that is your name because you deserve credit!) to save the day. I am a loyal Verizon customer. I have been for years now and I plan on continuing to do so. I use multiple Verizon wireless services. The location isn't bad. Just try to stay away from William (hopefully he was just having a bad day). read more

The sales tactics and customer service at this location are horrible. You will regret having done any business here. It's best to stay away. My wife and I went in for a phone upgrade and were sold extremely hard on a tablet and pushed several unneeded accessories. The sales rep was throwing lot's of numbers around and it was extremely difficult to follow along. In the end, I was exhausted from having to constantly fight off the sales rep who kept insisting on adding upgrades to our plan and purchasing unnecessary accessaries. I had to call the Verizon help center the next day to have them walk me through the plan. I'm glad I did as several mistakes were caught and corrected. I would have been paying Verizon and extra $30 a month due to the mistakes. We then went back to return the tablet that was pushed on us. We then learned that there is a $70 restocking fee. It was unused and unopened. When we told them that this wasn't made clear their response was that "it's clearly on the receipt." This made me even more furious as the receipt is handed to a customer (in this case my wife and I) only after the transaction is complete. I was appalled that Verizon values the $70 restocking fee more than life time value of our accounts (we've had an account for 11 years). read more

I'm writing my review specifically for the store. I had an evil windows phone thanks to the delightful insurance company Ausurian (seriously they are awful. Avoid them). There was a bit of a wait, but everyone was very pleasant and helpful and the greeter answered my questions while I was waiting for a sales rep. Replacing my phone proved to be a giant nightmare, but not at the fault of the staff. Brett (sales) and Kersten (manager) stayed past closing getting my phone to work, so thanks for taking what was a giant chore and making it as smooth as possible. Overall, I would say A+ to the staff here - at least the people who I was fortunate enough to interact with. read more

I found a phone a few days ago and it had no passcode, so I was able to find out that it was a Verizon phone. I tried to contact the owner several different ways before going into the store for them to help me find the owner. I go in and tell the reps what happened. I get bumped up to the Manager who starts off looking at me like he's ready for a fight. I just wanted to make sure the phone got back to the owner and the manager looked like he was about to hit me if I didn't hand the phone over. I was intimidated/bullied by the manager to hand over the phone. This is not how you treat good Samaritans. I'm in the process of reporting the manager (I just got home from their store). In the past, walking into Verizon stores was always a trial. At best, I got my questions answered, at worst, I had to wait a long time to get waited on and walked out without satisfaction. What a refreshing change at the Downtown Verizon Wireless store. I was lucky enough to be waited on by the manager, Ken. He is friendly, professional, and knows his product. In the last week, I've been in numerous times. I've been impressed not only with Ken, but with his employees as well who seem to follow suit with his example. They are friendly, greet you quickly, and seem to get the job done. Kudos to Ken and his entire staff! read more

Worst staff ever! I am pretty new to the whole smartphone experience. I went to ask about how to put apps on my SD card because we phone drive was full. The sales person grabbed the phone out of my hands and started searching the apps saying things like you just need to delete a few of these. I asked her not to delete any of my apps, and then asked her again if there was a way to utilize the SD card I just bought. Then she goes searching thru my pictures and music files, saying she will just move those, but I didn't have any. She hands me back the phone and says delete some apps. I still don't have a solution, Is there an upgrade for my phone I can add, or is there a phone with a bigger hard drive space? I came in at 5pm on a weekday and expected it to be busy...it was but a man came up right away and took my name and put me on a list (every other store I've been to has an automated machine for this but it seemed to be working ok expect when it got even busier and he couldn't manage the amount of people coming in and they had to wait in line just get in line). Half an hour later, a Verizon employee named Stephen came over to help me (not the longest wait I've had but there is not nearly enough seating). I told him the problem with my phone and then, instead of telling me what was wrong and what we could do (as every other decent Verizon employee I've dealt with has done), he condescendingly told me he couldn't talk to me because I wasn't listed on the account, even though it was my phone. After I called my mom and had her put me on the account, Stephen even more rudely told me my phone was screwed and there was nothing I could do because it was over a year old and I didn't have insurance. He did not offer any advice, options or tips and basically said I should buy a new phone right then or get out. This Verizon Wireless employee was rude, condescending and honestly a miserable human being. I can only assume that something in his life must be terribly wrong if he felt the need to treat me that way when I came in to the store already slightly upset that my phone was not charging but eager to hear what he, as a professional, thought I should do about it. I am going to drive an extra twenty minutes from now on to avoid this store just in case Stephen is there. I suggest requesting another employee if you are approached by him. I have never written a negative yelp review before but after leaving a store almost in tears (and not because of the unfortunate news about my phone...that wasn't that big of a deal to me), I felt it was appropriate and am also submitting a formal complaint to Verizon. read more

The customer service at this location is horrendous. Firstly, i tried to do what i've done in this exact location three times prior. The initial employee i dealt with told me it wasn't possible. I said someone else at the store on more than one occasion had helped me with what i needed. His response to this was "Well, tell me their names so i can have them fired". At this point i asked to speak with a manager. The first employee told me that in the two years he worked there, their policy had always been to require further this that and the other for me to transact my business. The manager initially backed him up. When i further explained my previous experience, he told me that maybe the first employee was wrong, but in the 7months, he'd been at the store, their policy had been what the first employee claimed. Then he tried to put the blame on the government and FCC regulations, and "It's the law" but then contradicted himself by admitting that it was actually just "corporate policy". When i told him i'd been helped in this exact way within the time frame of his management, he flat out called me a liar. When i asked if he thought it was okay for his employee to suggest that i tattle-tale on his co-workers, the manager said that he was "probably just joking around" even though the dude said it to me with the most sincere and heartfelt way, to tell on his coworkers so they could be fired. Unfortunately, when i asked to speak to the manager, the employee and the manger were in the back of the store in an area off limits to customers for almost ten minutes talking before i was able to talk to the manager myself. It seemed pretty obvious that they were figuring out a way to be unhelpful to me in the rudest way possible. I wish there was a zero star option for this location as 1 star seems unnecessarily fair. There is a Verizon store on 1st ave and also one on 4th ave, both in downtown Seattle. Please, go to either of these stores where you'll be treated decently the way a customer should. I went into Seattle today to go to the Verizon store on 6th avenue to upgrade my IPhone. I'd been there Monday to try to make a decision. A gentleman named Wayne was working and he did a great job!!! I went back today. Wayne had the day off, however, a very Awesome and Knowledgable salesman named Collin helped me. I was very impressed with his attitude. He treated me with dignity and respect!!! The salesman I dealt with was good. Unfortunately I've had to bring my phone back more than once as it has too many additions. I'm at the point where I will need to have all but the phone section open or go back to T-Mobile. The music will start up on its own and the Bluetooth setting starting turning off on me in the middle of talking to a friend. Like most high tech is widely over-priced for what I need. I was frustrated and I talked a salesman at the same store and when I mentioned going to T-Mobile he just said " that's your choice as a customer." My friend really liked her Verizon phone so we decided to go with them when we changed from T Mobile. It was really a mistake. 1. The initial "purchase" took almost 4 hours! The team had numerous problems getting us set up, filling out the paperwork and transferring our files. How can you not be able to set it up in a reasonable time? 2. The first phone died taking with it numerous files. I should have used the Verizon cloud storage but the team could not help me set it up so I put it off. Bad help. 3. They had a "get a free Samsung tv with your purchase" offer when we bought the units. The initial offer was denied since there was no proof of purchase. How can a company say there was no proof of purchase for a product bought from themselves? OK, I sent it to them. So then it was missing documentation of our contract. I sent that and they then said it was not submitted with the correct form. Eventually I did what they really wanted, I gave up bothering to try and get the rebate. Bait and switch. The bottom line - as soon as we fulfill our contract we will change to another company. I didn't like some aspects of T Mobile but they were always helpful and honest. read more

I went in on Black Friday to get a charger for my Blackberry. Gerren set me up with a new Motorola Turbo 2 Droid and tablet for free. There was just a $40 activation fee, but with my Blackberry turn in to him (he gave me $200 for it), I only owed $20. The Motorola has a shatter-free guarantee for the life of the phone. If it shatters, they'll replace the phone for free. No increase in my monthly rate! It was a wonderful experience!!! read more

I switched from tmobile and used the switcher promotion, the first line i ported worked fine i received a gift card. The second line i ported did not get paid i sent in my phone and after various emails and attachments trade in receipts not having the correct numbers on the receipt back and forth and please wait 10 days for is to verify your email upload b.s. I had a three way with a manager and the third party switcher company still i was owed 541.00 i never received it. The manager said he would credit my bill if did not receive a gift card. I called back a month later and the verizon rep had no notes of the previous. I lost connection after 45 min and no one ever called me back. After hours spent on the phone trying to resolve this I'm fed up. I had the help of the olympia verizon store to upload everything they needed i still got screwed. Thanks verizon I'm switching to another carrier. Your cell service is great but your customer service is lacking. The company you hired to process your switcher promotion is substandard. read more

The first two times I came to the store to have my phone looked at I was greeted with exceptionally nice service members. They helped tried to trouble shoot my problems and fix them. However, on my third trip to the store, I worked with the most imcmompentant woman (Susan) I have ever met. First of all, she was incredibly grumpy and did not listen to me. She kept telling me I needed to know certain passwords when in the past, identification has sufficed to get access to my family account. Then, after much hubabaloo, she finally processed the order for a replacement phone. Of course, she got the address incorrect and the phone could not be delivered. I am very disappointed in Verizon for hiring such incompetent, unfriendly service staff members. Susan should not be allowed to assist with any problems nor talk to any costumers. read more
