Well, I did not get my problem resolved, It was not the responsibility of the store. After spending an hour on the Customer Support line, they sent me on a wild goose chase to the store. However, the manager, Micah, was extremely helpful and helped intervene with the online support and gave me the process to get a solution. I always work with Trey at the store. He's amazing. The guy is the Google of technology. There's nothing it seems he doesn't know how to do. He is super patient and helpful. I walked in and checked in on a Saturday afternoon. There are about 10 customers in the store and about 5+ employees. I was told there is only 1 person in front of me. I waited 30min, one employee came and told me that I am still in queue, just waiting for other employees to free up. ? This is not about a Verizon store but about Verizon's internet service. I have been using Verizon for about 6 months now and it is the worst!!!! I have 2 devices, a phone and a personal computer. Sometimes I zoom, I don't play games, mostly I listen to the radio and check my email and news outlets on the computer. Every once in a while, less than X1/4 months, I will watch a TV program. They are charging me $147/month. What am I getting for that? An odd little gadget that connects me to WiFi for about 14 days every month and which is very fussy, needing to be charged frequently but unhappy if you leave it plugged in after it's fully charged. After that's depleted I need to use my phone as a Hotspot which has run down it's battery. This also doesn't last the whole rest of the month so at the end the system is reduced to very slow speeds. I can't believe I'm paying $147/month for such lousy and inconvenient service! Why don't I switch? I'm planning to but only Xfinity is wired into my building and there is a fault in the line between my place and the basement connection which interrupts service and which Xfinity has been unwi.lling to repair. In retrospect it's half the price and much better service than Verizon so I will go back to Xfinity. read more

Just finished upgrading my phone today and couldn't have asked for a better experience. With covid, they're mostly by appointment but was able to be helped today without one. All employees were wearing masks and had their own stations with acrylic protection between them. They were also spaced out so I felt safe. Besides that, my the upgrade portion was great. They were super friendly and walked me through my projected costs, what my future bill would look like and what would be due today. Some parts were longer due to covid and not touching their tablets and yes, I did have to pay for the balance left on my iPhone on the app on my phone but understood just the extra safety protocol. I actually had to go to get medical attention after waiting on the phone and being disconnected from Verizon. Having switched over to Verizon Wireless about two and a half months ago, I have spent close to 40 hours on hold or attempting to reach someone. I have even used Twitter, where I'm lucky to get a response ini 12 hours. My last response started off by telling me that "every moment has infinite value." I would think they would then value my millions of moments on hold a bit more. All I want is some way to reach a competent person in under one hour or even if I will ever get through. Each time as I wait, my blood pressure rises. It had been under control for years. Unless there is a secret, I believe that Verizon has shut down their Customer Service Department. No matter how I try, I can't get through. Two months without being able to use my phone completely. March 9th. I quickly received the note two days ago from Verizon. I responded immediately. If she was working on Saturday, they must want to resolve this, I thought. There's been no reply. But Verizon has been able to identify who complained about them on Yelp. They got to look like a company that cares to those who have read this. But this was one more unfulfilled promise. I gave an extra star because the specialists were nice. But in general the store was not helpful. I tried to trade in my phone for a new one. They asked me to do the process myself on my own phone. The app would not let me pick a new location for pickup. At the end they just told me to go to another store which had the phone and get help there. Things that would have been helpful: 1) use their internal system to trade in 2) provided me more detail on how to get the phone from a different location 3) reserve the phone for me by connecting to the other Verizon location Has covid prevented Verizon internal systems from working? I ended up going home and figuring out everything myself. Save yourself some time. Do not order from this store! When I walked in, the sales rep, Kaulana, said they have inventory. When I placed the order on that same day, both phones I wanted had no inventory, so they said 2 days shipping. But next day when the order shipped out, it became 4 days shipping. Can you love 4 days without your phone? When I went back to the store, Kaulana wouldn't do anything to help. He denied mentioning about have inventory first. Then he blamed it on me that I placed the order late; and actually he was the one who messed up the tablet and delayed the ordering process and made us wait a long time. The last text he sent me was to dare me to "Take it up with Taylor thank you". Of course Taylor the manager never replied back, waiting for 36 hours already ... Because Kaulana first told me the delivery would be Saturday, I cancelled my weekend plans for the package. Then it turned out to be Monday, and so I have to take a day off for the package. All this inconvenience, all this frustration, all this attitude, and loss of 1 pay day is what I get when I pay $2000+ to Verizon. What the hell was the point of me even calling then?? And when I call back to find out why it wasnt, I was told the previous associate didn't update the request!!!! Are you kidding me. So now my kid has a new number which is what I was trying to avoid. You guys portray yourself as the best cellular service around prove it by not just the actual service but the customer service as well. Some time last night Verizon's cell network went down in the 98346 / Kingston area around Kingston Crossing, so we woke up this morning with no phone or text service. We connected to the house WiFi to call and text, then I spent more than three hours on two chats with customer support, one in the morning after I discovered the problem and one in the afternoon trying to figure out if they had any news. The first agent told me that there was no outage in my area, but given that two phones had cr@pped out simultaneously, that was hard to argue for. After 45 minutes of useless back-and-forth I finally got connected to actual tech support who told me that there WAS an outage in the area, but they had no idea how long it would take to fix it, and, believe it or not, told me to call back later to check status. Call how exactly? Get in the car and drive until I see bars??? The second chat in the afternoon was an even bigger clusterfox. The first agent lied to me repeatedly about there being an outage in my area, and then spent nearly an hour walking me through useless debugging steps on the phone after which it ended up being reset back to factory settings and losing my customization. Then, after an hour and a half I finally got to "Tier 2" tech support (I'm not worthy), who did some equally useless debugging then told me that my SIM card had failed and that I needed to go to the nearest Verizon dealer to get a new one. Both SIM cards had failed on two different phone models and different ages. Any engineers out there - no spoiling on the probability of this happening. So I made an appointment with a local shop for tomorrow and gave up on the chat. Fast forward to a few hours later this evening and, drum roll please, I have one, maybe 2 bars, showing on both phones again. It's a miracle!!!!!!!!! The SIM cards, both of which failed simultaneously, have healed themselves spontaneously!!!!!!!!! Bottom line, Verizon customer support, if you can get to it, is slow, aloof, dishonest and incompetent. Their network monitoring system doesn't provide accurate timely information which could be really bad news in an emergency. They need an enema, after which you can bury them in a matchbox. If I could give this location negative stars I would. As soon as I walked in twenty-five minutes before closing, all of the young associates looked at me as if I had three heads and immediately decided that I wasn't worthy of any help. "Tre" stood over me and fumbled and stumbled around attempting to waste as much time as possible "helping me" so by the time he was finished being stuck in his head, it would be 5pm, thus closing time. Chris has been pleasant, consistent and very helpful and I have nothing bad to say about him. The "manager" who walks around arrogantly dictating said that his store was the end all be all, meaning he was the first and last person I could talk to, and that there were no higher ups! I asked for a store number associated with this location on 6th Ave and he replied "you can go on Google and find the telephone number for this store"...I then asked for his name because he wasn't wearing a name tag, his reply, "I don't have to give you my name". As they Tre and "no name" hovered above me while I was sitting on the bench, I mentioned that I was going to write on Yelp and left the store at 4:59PM. This is the second worst customer service experience that I've ever received. I could immediately tell they didn't want to give me the time of day as soon as I walked in and not to mention the security lady was slumped in her seat on her phone with her hand supporting her head. I'm sure some of them snickered to each other as they closed the metal plated gates behind the windows. Please note that this rating pertains to the Downtown Seattle Store located on 1633 6th Avenue. I was misled by the sales person. Spouse and I traded in both phones for newer phones. Sales guy upsold us an apple watch SE and was told that there was a promotion if we bought all of this as a bundle which would then come out to $50 for the watch and $5/month plus Disney+ included for free with no expiration as long as Verizon continues their partnership with Disney. As I try not to be jaded due to people not doing the right thing, I believed the guy especially because he also said that it was a holiday promotion and it's the best promotion they've had. Foolish me for not only believing the sales person, but I also believed that management would not allow employees to get sales this way or to have this kind of sales person representing a corporation like Verizon. So the sales person got a nice commission, store looked good because of a great day in sales and we are now stuck in paying $330 for a device that is awful and $20/month to use the SE even if I don't use it as the battery doesn't last a day and it basically sucks not to mention the couple thousand for our new phones. Needless to say, lesson learned and we will not only avoid this store but we will also be looking into other phone carriers. read more

I came in knowing I was going to buy the iPhone X. The employee who helped did the exact opposite. All my concerns went unrecognized, my questions went unanswered, and I was not offered to trade-in my current iPhone that was in perfect condition. When I asked why I wasn't offered, the service rep said my screen was cracked, which it wasn't. He then talked down to me by stating that "VZ puts us through extensive training to see these kind of things." He was being lazy and didn't want to restart the transaction. I went to two retailer stores of VZ, and both said my phone was absolutely eligible for a trade-in. I was so annoyed, irritated, and disrespected that I came in the next day and returned everything I had bought the day before: iPhone X, screen protector, and phone case. Store is clean, well organize, friendly staff, and I was seen in about 5 minutes with no appointment and other customers in the store. I've had T-Mobile for about 8 years and because my internet went out for a day and I found the S-10 I had didn't do well as a Hot Spot, I wanted to get a new phone that could do that. Since I have multiple authenticators on my current phone I wanted to keep that and just buy a new phone - I was going to get an S22+ and pay for that with a CC and then get a plan. I was told the phone would be $999 and a $35 activation fee. I used my phone to check Amazon - I can get the same phone for $649. I apologized to the very nice sales girl letting her know I understand it isn't your fault, but I can see paying an activation fee for a phone I bought from Amazon and brought in - but I can't justify paying a $350 premium to Verizon for the phone AND they charge me an activation fee. So now I will wind up buying the phone from Amazon, logging into my T-Mobile account, and adding it to my current plan. read more

We all have horror stories w/ our mobile providers and truly want a little interaction with our cell phone provider, so we often cross our fingers and hope nothing breaks so you never have to call or interact with them. Well this location and my interaction with them blew that perception away. Jay (the manager) and Heidi were nothing but accommodating, informative, genuine and flexible. I have a serious issue with Verizon Wireless. I have been a longtime customer with Verizon, well over eight years. I know that all they want to do is sell phones and provide wireless service so I hope that someone will read this and avoid them like the plague that they are. Their customer service is non-existent and their coverage in my area is the worst of any company that I've ever seen. Quite frankly, McDonald's gets a better review from me than I am prepared to provide to Verizon. Let's begin, shall we? I'll start with my prepaid plan. I had been receiving unlimited talk, text and fifteen gigabytes of data for several years until the beginning of this year, when suddenly Verizon took it upon themselves to change my plan down to eight gigabytes of data per month without notification and all for the same cost. They think that we are stupid and I know why they think its okay to do what they did. This has been done to my plan during the outbreak of COVID-19 and they realize that people (just like you and I) will be at home and using their personal hotspots and their associated account data for streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and YouTube videos to fill their quarantine / stay at home obligations and they did this plan change to us in order to profit and price gouge during this global pandemic. Now, when I look at the MyVerizon app on my phone it tells me that my plan is changed to eight gigabytes per month but it also says that I currently have sixteen gigabytes to use and when I called them regarding this change and its' discrepancy they told me that I didn't understand and that I had made the change myself. Also, they took issue with me by stating "But you have bonus promotional data of eight gigabytes, which puts you at sixteen at this time because we want to help you during these tough times". The representative completely ignored me and basically pissed me off directly and I stated that I had not asked for the plan to be changed and that I would only be receiving half of my data once their ridiculous promotion ended, putting my account down to half of what I have been historically paying for. They also lied to me twice during the call. The first time by telling me that I had changed the plan details (?), and the second time by stating that I had been under the same details since last year when I knew for a fact that I had not been. Question, why would I pay the same amount and ask for less than what I have been getting? "Please Verizon, I would love to pay fifty dollars a month to receive less than before." I don't think so! Its a crappy shell game that they are playing while using my money to do it. After this review here I thoroughly plan to be in touch with a friend of mine who works at the Federal Trade Commission that I've known for years and explain the price gouging and unfair to consumer practices at play while this pandemic occurs all around us. I will call them out to the world for it if its the last thing I do. I have also purchased a sim card to use with AT&T and plan to switch my service over to them and hopefully be able to get coverage where I live because I can't get cell phone coverage while sitting in my own living room. In addition to the above let me also add that my girlfriend had gotten a Samsung Galaxy Note device under her plan and had payed handsomely in her plan details and her commitment to them under her plan had ended. But now they refuse to unlock her phone from their carrier services for use with another carrier. We have spent countless hours on the phone and in store trying to patiently resolve with idiots and liars who refuse to help. I may go to jail if I continue to try to operate with them because my frustration level is so high that I would gladly choke to death the next representative through the phone I'm using while trying to resolve it. If you attempt to buy a phone that is carrier locked to Verizon you can believe you'll never actually own it. Trust me! Have you ever have the problem that your smart phone becomes a dumb phone when you are on vacation? I have. I encountered Internet and a Yelp application issue where it kept force closing. In an age where the smart phone is the world at your fingertips, my world was crumbling. To be reconnected with the world at my fingertips, I marched on Pine Street to the downtown Seattle Verizon store. This was my second time there. The first was to pay my bill at the self service kiosk. The time from walking in the door and being helped was quick. This time a sales associate and techician assisted me. I lost faith in their effectiveness in fixing the problem after the salesman's solution to the Yelp force closing problem was to go on Urban Spoon because they don't get paid to write their reviews. Okay! On the other hand I was impressed with how fast he took apart the Otter Box and opened the battery to restart the phone. But then he is trying to sell me things I just don't need. That self service kiosk took enough of my money the other day. Next I explained the Internet problems. One problem is it kept going from a Verizon signal to the WiFi. The techician's solution is to go to settings and turn off the WiFi. Calmly I'm thinking to myself, "Hello, that's what I have been doing." The other response is that if your phone isn't working that when you go back home, you could send it out and Verizon will send you a new one. This leaves me with a major complaint about corporate owned wireless stores, "Why don't they have replacement smartphones in the shop?" The Internet problem would repair itself. How do i start this? Thursday afternoon walking down the street i notice this cute girl walking next to me,and i just had to talk to her. We ended walking like a block when she said she had to stop at the Verizon store and guess what? Yes you're are right i was also going in!!! We quickly got greeted and we both went our separate ways. The first thing i noticed upon entering is that the store was packed!! I already knew what i was looking for so when they asked me if i needed help i had a set of questions that were promptly answered. Ended buying a new phone and was a breeze. I went to this Verizon retailer and asked for pricing for Early Edge. They quoted me a price which was the same as online or the same as other Verizon retailers PLUS $200 IN REQUIRED ACCESSORIES. A COMPLETE RIPOFF AND A SCAM. This seemed suspect so I confirmed online and at another location (in San Diego, when on vacation). When talking to the online sales rep and the reps at the San Diego location, both sets of reps did not even mention a required $200 in accessories spend and were taken aback that this store required this spend. Note, I talked to two reps at this store, online reps, and San Diego reps in the same week - so timing is not an issue. I'm a reserved person and refrain from extreme reviews one way or another. I have never encountered such an infuriating retail encounter and consider it my duty to register the complaint. As of writing, still considering registering a formal complaint with BBB. While corporate behemoths can be difficult at times to deal with, I've never had any problems the three times I've been in this Verizon store with phone *issues*. Issues being the phone flipping open a little too far and losing the screen...but you know how that goes! Fortunately, the third time this happened was the day after my contract was up for renewal. (The first two were covered under warranty. Yep, I've lucked out.) But unfortunately, my man and I switched to a family plan several months ago...and his name was the only authorized one on the account. So Jason, the helpful Verizon employee, was in the awkward position of informing me that even though I was standing right there with a broken phone and a personal contract up for renewal, I wasn't authorized to make any changes! THAT was fixed quickly....He was very helpful: let me use the store phone to call the man, had the customer service number right there for me to recite, and showed me new phone options (without any unnecessary upselling) while I waited for authorization to go through. Even better, he noticed my old phone was red and pointed me to a useful model that came in red (even though that color wasn't out on display). Plus, he managed to retrieve my contacts and photos from my old phone even though, by that point, there wasn't a semblance of a visible display screen. All in all, a great Verizon experience, and I left with exactly what I went in for (a new, simple phone), with the bumps along the way relatively smoothed out. The Staff at Verizon Wireless have IQ's slightly above that of room temperature butter which makes trying to gain information as to why the bill is constantly incorrect, every second or third call is dropped, and why the phone never rings similar to kicking a deaf-mute cripple for not answering you. I have had the same problem with moving and not getting my "billing address" changed. After 5 months, 3 phone calls, and one in store visit my bill is still being sent to my old address. First off, let me say that I love Verizon and I've been a customer for 5+ years and do not plan on switching to another carrier anytime soon. This was my first visit to the downtown store. Customer service gets high ranks, they were crawling like flies to help me and I had barely stepped in the door. By the time I left the place I had 3 people waiting on me even the security woman asking if I needed assistance. The only downfall for me was that it took a super long time (but only because I had a lot of stuff to transfer) but I'm pretty patient and I wasn't in a hurry, which helped a lot. No bruised egos, and they solved my problem with many smiles. I am lucky like that when it comes to good customer service. HINT: If you have a problem with your phone, call and get everything resolved over the phone then go into your nearest store to do the basics, ie.. swap phone or have numbers transferred. The phone service I have found is way better at answering questions in a timely manner. The store is the best for resolving the hands on technical problems. read more

On Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009, I went into the Verizon store located at 1633 6th Ave, Seattle, WA., 98101, to pay my bill. Immediately upon entering the store, I was approached by a Verizon employee with a clipboard. She wanted to know, "what I wanted." I told her I wanted to pay my bill. She told me that two people were ahead of me and that I would have to wait. I said, "Wait to pay my bill?" She tossed her head in the direction of a machine that takes payments. I had never used that machine before. I told her I had cash and she said, "Well, I hope you know that the machine DOESN'T give you any change." She was very derisive and dismissive. This woman's name tag read "Teri." She is a pasty-skinned woman with thin, shoulder length unkempt dirty blond hair, about 5ft, 5 in, 150lbs. As I contemplated this rude creature named Teri, another customer, a woman, asked Teri how to send a text message. It was clear that this woman needed some help and patience as she looked perplexed. Teri rattled off how to text, "Okay, press this, then that, then options, then blah blah blah, hit contacts, hit send. Got that?" The poor woman customer looked at Teri in shock and dismay and said, "Please, could you tell me again but slower?" Teri rattled through her spiel with even more snotty impatience until the poor woman customer just walked away during Teri's rude rambling. Incredible. I then walked over to the machine that takes payments (but doesn't give change!), made my payment, got my receipt and paused as I wanted to tell Teri that she really needs to find another profession, one that doesn't require her to deal with the public. Instead, I just left the store and am now relaying the delightful Verizon representative's world class customer service to one and all.
