I would give 0 stars if possible. DO NOT GO TO THIS RETAILER. First and foremost, this is a retailer, not an actual Verizon store. They operate almost as if they're a used car lot. I went in with my girlfriend to add her to my account and get her a new phone. We left with a confusing bill, a new "free" tablet, and what I'd find out was two months of headache in order to get our account straightened out. The experience seemed pleasant enough at first but then they started up-selling us, offering discounts for add-ons and then manipulating our payments and monthly billing in order to make their story seem straight. We were convinced that an add on tablet was free under promotion and will actually make our bill lower. They ended up charging us a $20 setup fee for just handing us the box and never even added the promotional discount to the monthly bill. They also charged a setup fee on my girlfriends phone, which seemed ok as they transferred all the data, but never told us that wasn't even a part of the fee that we'd later get hit by Verizon for actual activation. We left with a $200 in store bill for just fees and taxes. Two weeks later we get our statement and it was $300. Twice what it should be! They didn't apply the promotion that was promised, my line access fee was double what it should be, and everything had insurance on it, which we didn't even ask for. We returned to the store and tried to straighten everything out but kept getting the run around and everyone, including the assistant manager, kept telling us that they couldn't see what the original salesman did and we'd have to wait for him. That's when we realized how unethical this business was. The original salesman had manipulated everything, presumably to maximize his commission, and no one else could or would change what he did. We contested the no setup "setup & go" fee on the tablet and we were told they'd have to review the security footage to make sure the original salesman didn't actually do anything to set up the tablet. They seriously told us they'd have to review the security footage to validate our complaint about a $20 fee. After the two terrible visits to this retailer we contacted Verizon and they corrected our accounts and offered us billing credits for the shambles that our account was left in. I've had 8 cell phones over the past 17 years and never once had I dealt with such an unethical cell phone retailer. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. Find a real Verizon store to get a new phone or even do it online. Do anything but go to this store. read more

Let me start with: WATCH OUT FOR THEIR $140 SETUP FEE They charge this and if they explain it at all, they pass it off as 'we can apply a special coupon for you a get a credit for all but $20 of it and you can pick out accessories for $120.' And while we were there, they tried to even charge the girl next to my wife and I $160. Totally unethical and shady. If you must go with Verizon (T-Mobile is so much better if you can put up with slightly less coverage), GO TO A VERIZON COMPANY STORE, NOT THESE SHADY RESELLERS. read more

I admit that the time was late to switch over 2 lines but Verizon is known for excellent customer service. The representative said, "sorry guys I can't do it today, I don't have time, I have to pick my kid up at 9... I mean 9:30, I have to be somewhere." Have been a Verizon customer for years. When they stopped Unlimited it was super disappointing. Have been trying to get back on unlimited ever since they brought it back. Went to a Verizon store in Palm Springs and they were rude and said it wasn't going to work. Called in and they said it would go from $230 to $400 a month for two phones. Today went to Seal Beach and spoke to Anthony. He was extremely helpful, he listened to understand what I was looking for and gave me the direct answer. Well, I changed my phone plan and upgraded my phones on January 4th. It's almost April and I still don't have any resolution regarding my iPhone 6. It has been such a pain, they gave me an employe's Samsung, which I hate, a month ago. Unreal. Unreal..Are they dishonest? Or, are they just idiots? If possible, I would have given this establishment 0 stars. Before sharing my story of deception and theft, please take this simple advice: find an official Verizon store to patron. NOT THIS AUTHORIZED DEALER. My story begins a year ago when we bought my son an iPhone C under the edge plan at this store. We were perfectly happy with the purchase at the time, everything went smooth. Great. Fast forward 9 months. My son's phone stopped charging. Happily we knew the phone was within the 1 year warranty through Apple so we took it in to get repaired/replaced. There the very helpful Genius Bar worker looked up the serial number on the phone and to our surprise the phone was already over a year old. How? Well, through more research on our part, corporate Verizon and Apple we discovered this 4G Wireless store sold us a used phone for full price! Yes, we had been unknowingly paying full price for a used phone for months. How does that even happen? Who knows? Fraud probably. But the worst was yet to come. Upon working with Verizon corporate the solution we reached was that 4G Wireless pay the remainder of our Edge contract. Guess what has not happened? Did you guess? Yes. They have not paid a dime into our contract. As it stands right now, our bill is about to default with Verizon because this location has not paid their portion for the phone. It was simple. We were to take our bill to the store and they were to pay for the edge program in full. First it was going to be taken care of in a matter of 2-3 days. When we called back for the status the manager was gone on a "family emergency". For the past week he has been dodging our calls daily. Yesterday he was "busy" after he heard it was my husband calling for him and then our phone call was never returned. Today nothing. I might just camp out daily until this is taken care of. Who needs to work? Perhaps a peaceful protest of the injustice of corrupt cellular customer service is needed? As if we have the time. We will not give up. Our next step will be legal. If you bought an iPhone here please check your serial number to ensure you too were not defrauded into paying for a new device that was clearly used. That is criminal. In December, I purchased a replacement iPhone for my wife as a gift; she went to store for activation; they over rode her phone information with some one else's data and was not able to recover my wife's data; pictures, contacts, etc. After days of phone calls and trips to store with lots of frustration. they admitted that it were their error. Than one of the personal blamed my wife for not backing up her data! No excuses for them f criticizing a customer. I just found out the protection plan which I thought was a comprehensive plan for the iPhone was not the appropriate plan. It was for a flip phone not the iPhone; I would have had problems if I filed a claim. In the future, we will only go to a corporate store for better customer service. and upgrades. Nice enough employees once you get to the front of the line, but they really, really, need to do something about their waiting times and customer satisfaction. I think they need an appointment system, more workers, or an option to take care of things that don't require standing in line. The first time I went there, I waited over 1 hour even though there were 2 people ahead of me in line when I got there. Employees kept telling me they will be with me in a minute and they appreciated my patience but that did little to ease my patience. Seems like each customer requires about 30 minutes of assistance. While waiting in line the first time, I witnessed several customer arguments. When it was my turn, my time took 30+ minutes as well and yep, you guessed, it also ended up in an argument. Employees were nice enough but by that time I was so burned out from waiting in line for so long and the argument I was ready to leave. They made a few recommendations to resolve the problem that ended up in a wild goose chase and no results. The second time I came back-same thing, so we had a pattern now. Nearly 1 hour in line even thought there was 3 people ahead of me. This time I insisted on talking to the Manager and the manager (Aaron) was very helpful and arrived at a solution to my problem and I left satisfied. The third time my wife went to exchange her cracked phone and yep, you guessed it, waiting in line for over 1 hour. She came home at 10 pm on a school night and had the kids with her since what she needed only 10 minutes. I went in for a phone charger and the sales person ended up selling me a charger that did not fit my phone. I went back the following week to return the item and they denied a refund instead they were willing to do me a favor and offer store credit because I didn't return the item within 7 days. I told him that I was never aware of this policy and he told me to check the receipt. The issue is that I never received my receipt via email. They claimed to have emailed it to me. He then continued to say that he can give me a hard copy of the receipt "right now." How does handing me a copy "right now" help my situation? If I knew I had 7 days to return then I would have done so. This place is a nightmare. Stay away. Go to a real professional Verizon store. read more

Chassidy is wonderful. My cell phone died two days earlier and I had three phones to switch over from Sprint to Verizon. She patiently explained the options, costs, how to use the devices etc. I went first thing in the morning at 9:15 AM to avoid crowds, etc. She was by herself and she help other customers as I had many questions and she was so patient. Retail is difficult to predict and several customers were snappy with her for the wait. She was by herself for the first hour or so and asked a few customers if they would come back as myself and anther customer had challenging situations. I highly recommend this location and Chassidy; she is extremely patient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with! read more

Where do I begin? I ordered and paid for a new Gold IPhone 6 a month and a half ago. I was told it would be in on a certain date. I went in the day after it was supposed to be there only to find out my order had been cancelled (not by me)!. We spend over an hour in the store reordering my phone and looking at my plan as well as my daughter's plan. Cameron said we can save money by making a couple changes to our plans only to find out a month later when my daughter got her bill it was higher than her original bill! I had received an email saying my phone was delivered on 10/9 in the afternoon. I didn't receive a call until two days later telling my phone was in and to let them know if I still wanted it (REALLY???). I made a call the next day to make sure my phone was there and the manager, Aaron, answered the phone. He told me he had too many in the back to go through at the moment and he would call me back. He never did. I called later that day and spoke to Brandon who proceeded to put me on hold for OVER 10 minutes never to get back to me. I hung up the phone and drove straight to the store. I was then told they DON'T have my phone(even thought I had proof it was delivered). I was told I could have a black phone. So obviously my phone was given to someone else. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to this store and I am spreading the word!!!! read more

This is not a Corporate Verizon Store. You buy here at your own risk. The store manager lied to my wife just to make extra commission, and then would not take back his sale. What he said was "FREE" would have cost more than $900 over two years. What made matters worse, Verizon Corporate Customer Service could not directly fix the lie by the store manager because it was not a corporate store. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a lie. Hello Fellow community shoppers, I have had multiple bad experiences with this place. The first run in I had was at their old location and the salesperson sold me something I did not ask for or want. It took over 30 days, numerous phone calls and a conversation with the so called president to resolve it. I only continued to do business because the manager that stepped in was pretty good. Though this company uses the name Verizon they really are not Verizon. They have a deal with Verizon to use the name. Bad deal for Verizon. They simply do not have the ability to manage account matters. I went there to resolved an account and add a new business phone account. They asked me to bring in paperwork showing the business existed. I did this and the person there at the time, Matthew, would not follow through on what was agreed to earlier. I went to the real Verizon store in Long Beach and the account and phone was added with no problems or delays. 4g has low standards for the employees they hire or a pay grade like McDonalds. Unless you get in their face they will not help you with problems. Who wants that? If you own multiple businesses or have several family member on your phone service then you are far bettter off to deal with Verizon direct. Do not waste your time. read more

Beware of False Advertising & Fake Promotions. I purchased my new iPhone XS at this authorized retailer roughly 6 months ago. At the time of purchase I was told by purchasing through their specific store, my phone would come with lifetime screen protection replacement. "Just come on in anytime, and we will swap it out for a new one right then and there" is what they said, and it was positioned as part of the package. I just went in to have my screen protector replaced and was told "yeah, we stopped that. We aren't doing that anymore. You have to go through the vendors website". This was very disappointing to learn, as I took a special trip to this Verizon store, only to walk away with a copy of my receipt with the screen protector vendors website scribbled on it. The store manager had nothing to say regarding false advertisement and refused to provide the store owners contact info. I have every intention of reporting them to Verizon corporate because their false advertising and claims of "perks" that "change" disappear before they can even be used. BUYER BEWARE OF SHADY OPERATION- you are better off going to an actual Verizon store, not a sketchy "authorized" retailer. read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS STORE. I came in last year because my "dumb" phone was failing and I wanted to buy a new battery. The rep informed me that the battery was discontinued and I needed to buy a new phone. It has taken me all this time to know that I WAS RIPPED OFF!!!!. They should have either gotten me a replacement phone or told me to go through the insurance for $50.00. Instead I paid 99+tax + $30 activation fee and without my permission or knowledge, they upgraded me from a "dumb" phone to another "dumb" phone. Now I want to upgrade to a smart phone and I don't have an upgrade available. No stars if I could. First of all I think I had the worst customer service experience of my life here. The person helping me told me that I looked mean and that they just knew I was going to give them a hard time when I walked through the door, but they were surprised that I was actually nice. WTF, WHO says things like that?! I should have known better when I was buying my phone, there was a lady there complaining about the phone she just bought not working. No surprise, my new phone isn't working either! "Just come in so we can remedy the situation." Well the remedy that will satisfy me is to return the piece of crap for a full refund but apparently there is a $100 re stocking fee. I do not want a brand new phone that doesn't work. I don't have the time to run around trying to exchange stuff that isn't working right the first time like it should. No wonder they push the insurance so hard here. The devices don't work right to begin with! Biggest disaster of a phone purchase ever! The sales person also had me pay before disclosing any information such as, I'd be paying for the SIM card (which corporate stores will give you for free), paying for tax on full retail value (when Verizon corporate doesn't charge tax on full retail value when you purchase on a contract), let alone the exorbitant re stocking fees (on phones that don't work right to begin with). I am very highly considering filing a huge complaint with corporate on this store. Especially since when I called everyone was too busy to deal with me, but I can come in the store if I want. For what? You can't tell me anything on the phone, you're too busy to take a phone call, what am I going to waste my time for in the store? Not to mention the fine print in the contract, they literally will charge your debit or credit card $550 should you suspend your service for any reason with in 6 months. Well sometimes my kids act up and their phone gets suspended. So you're going to charge me for that? A real Verizon store would never. Save your time, money, headache. Go to a real Verizon, don't waste your time here. Apparently a lot of people have purchased bad devices here as well. And if you exchange your phone and the second phone doesn't work either then oh well, deal with the manufacturer. This store won't help you and won't let you return the device either without paying a ridiculous amount of money. Their practices should be investigated and Verizon should drop them as a retailer because they are giving the company a bad name. I'll be calling corporate tomorrow and if I can't get anywhere then I'll be letting them know that it's time for me to take my business elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

At the advice of Verizon Customer Service Supervisor I am posting this review. Authorized Retailers are not Verizon company stores. Retailers pay for the right to use the license and sell Verizon products. Just like Target, Walmart, Costco, etc. This store was terrible. The young man 20 something was rude and could careless about helping me. Or just did not respect me. Was having trouble with Verizon service all day. Should have followed my gut and gone to another store. Had stopped across the street to do something, heard about others having issues with their Verizon service as well, so since this store was across the street thought I would ask if there was a problem. When I asked my question of the young man in the seal beach store, he said he was not aware of any problems, oh but your phone is old so that is problem. You probably used all your data if it is not unlimited. He checked my account, he said no changes all looks fine. Now, this whole time we are talking about Verizon, when I made the mistake of referring to Verizon as they, he said who is they, throwing his hands in the air. Of course Verizon, oh ok he says. No there are no changes to your account. Can you check with tech support to see if they can help, again his hands went flying in the air (bending his elbows only, not extension). At that point I was pretty irritated, said thank you and I would not be back to that store. He responded ok. As I left out the door I also said you do not need to be defensive, he responded ok. That is the short of the what happened. Before I forget there was no manager available and have not called the store because I am afraid I may get the same attitude. Usually I don't care how old you are or who you are as long as someone can help. But in this case I felt it was necessary because I felt he was disrespectful. Again posted this as per Verizon Customer Service Supervisor, who also will be reporting this to Verizon. Simple questions, turned into disrespect.
