I hope I am getting the correct place because I believe that praise is due to all who carry out a…read morejob function well, and with a worthy sense of purpose that can only be described as dignified. After all, "dignity does not come from the work we do, but from how well we do it." So says Aristotle, and thus so say I. Lash from this AT&T store on Western Ave. next to a Fantastic's Sam and Subway, adjacent. personifies doing a job well with dignity and quiet passion. Oh, and to clarify, the Subway I am referring to, is not the Red line but the franchise restaurant. I am accident prone. I wish I could call myself adorkable but in reality I am just reckless- not bull in a china shop reckless, more like a frog jumping from lily pad to lily pad with a carefree spirit that results in more voluminous splashes that result in damage. That is basically how I broke my phone. I was at the gym, just me, the iron and the beats. I got lost in the moment. Which is good. But then I threw my phone and it hit the bench in such an angle that cracked my phone. It also left my screen black. Which is bad. Lash later told me that when I hit my phone on the bench I likely cracked the bulb inside my phone. There was no feasible repair option. I had to get a new one. A broken bulb shattered the utility of my iPhone--- how many bulbs are needed to turn on an iPhone? At least one. I had just gotten a phone a year ago. I am not sure what happened, but I broke my old one too. And Lash remembered me, a year later. That made me feel special--- cause I only go to this store when I need phones out of urgency, not out of plan, and he kind of remembered me. Kudos to him! I am embarrassed to admit that an iPhone is suppose to last at least three years, but with me they usually last one. And replacing an iPhone is necessary but expensive-- I cannot find a way to continue without my iPhone. I mean, I can, I for sure can but how? It would be like a ship captain trying to continue on a voyage without a map, a form of entertainment, immediate access to his mateys, or reminders that a mighty storm is coming. I mean he could continue with his voyage but would he want to? I guess once you attached yourself to life with a smartphone, there is no going back to a phone less life. Steve Jobs you changed the destiny of our world--- your rest is well earned. Lash helped me get my lifeline back. He offered options without being pushy. He placed a screen protector like he had done it 1000 times before, the day I went, and also in a past life. I trusted him to do what was right so I could get my phone back, at the best price possible and that says a lot because sales people are meant to take your money. And really, I abide---- cause I tend to be a willing victim. But Lash made me feel like he was not trying to do that. Unless, he was. But if he did he hid his intentions well. I forgot my iCloud.com password. He tried to help but he could not. I figured some stuff out by myself. I have to wait two days for my new password to come, and then I can have access to my old photos. They are not worth much, but they are mine. So I will wait. Plus all my apps will come back too. When I was ready to select my new 16 he brought one in black. I was like there are no more colors? And he said there was a pink. I was oh, I wanna see it. He then turned and brought a pink one- cotton candy pink- and a purple one. I communicated that I loved the pink one. He allowed me to view both phones- the pink and light purple- and I made a choice that fit my fancy, of course the pink one, I loved! At no point did he seem shocked, nor did he smirked. I applauded him for his maturity and professionalism. A young child said that her aunt had the same phone I did. I agreed and made a point to say it was pretty. A small reminder that the isms of the world are learned by kids and taught by adults. Oh one last thing. I did not catch the manager's name. But when I went back and Lash was leaving she stayed helping customers (inclduding me) and others. So this spot has Lash and a manager that handle business with a flouncy and professional step.

Don't use AT&T. Customer Service is really, really bad…read more Please read my original review to get an understanding of the oddyssee that it took to close a business wireless account. No only did it take a month (more than a month) of calling and getting routed to different departments, being given wrong phone numbers to call and limiting the hours that you can reach them (good luck getting a hold of them if you have to call after work...), but now they are trying to bill me for that time! They keep calling me trying to "resolve" the account. I told them that it took me so long to close the account because of their ridiculously bad service which seem to intentionally male it nearly impossible to close accounts. Try walking into the same retail front that so eagerly sells you accounts and try to close one and see what happens. Try doing it online and see if it is even possible. Then, try calling and see what labrynthine machinations you need to muddle through to finally, FINALLY getting to someone who has the power to close your account, but only, ONLY after you go through their client retention department and repeat three times the magic phrase, "I want to close my account," and you have a signed affidavit attesting to the fact, and have it notarized my a notary that gets a sufficient DNA sample and a pint of your blood. Then, and only then, will they allow you, THEIR CLIENT, to be released from the burden of their services. Then, they'll come after you for THE TIME THAT THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. Never again. I'll gladly pay more for a company that has mediocre, not even great, customer service. Something that isn't intentionally obtuse!

This was the first time I went to uBreakiFix as a desperate last resort and they ordered a new mobo and replaced it within a couple of weeks with reasonable labor costs. However, there was poor communication the first time around and apparently the first guy thought that it would be acceptable to replace it with a GTX 2070 instead of the 2080 that it originally came with. Upon seeing a cheaper final price and promptly reading the receipt, I realized the mistake they made and asked them to order a 2080 instead, not minding how much longer it would take. They said that it would arrive in another couple of weeks and that I could just pay the $350 difference, no extra labor costs added. I was worried, but sure enough, they called me when it was ready and my $4000 laptop started up beautifully without a problem with a fresh installation of windows 11. They made it right and stayed true to their word, and I only had to pay the price difference. Thanks, uBreakiFix for not putting me through anymore headache. I will be doing business with them again in the future.

I arrived at Verizon today to let the Store Manager know about her employee who violated code of…read moreconduct and ethic policies by adding an unauthorized line and phone to my account back in December when I visited the store to upgrade my sons phone. I came across the discrepancy this month when I received my Verizon bill text and the bill was about $78 higher than normal. I tried explaining this action to the manager who I later found out her name was Glenda, but she took up for the EE saying maybe I didn't know what I wanted when I visited. So I asked her well my son has the upgrade but why do I show an ADDITIONAL LINE ON KY ACCOUNT FOR A GALAXY THAT WE HAVE NEVER SEEN OR POSSESSED. Glenda stated she would call Verizon support to see what she could do to help, but instead she sent the EE out to me. He sat down and started telling me "yea I'm not sure about all this ya telling my manager but let me explain what I did and how I did you a favor by adding an extra line to your account". I told the employee that you did something I didn't request or authorize and it's causing me an expense for something I clearly don't have because I don't do androids. So who has the Samsung and is using the phone ending in 9799 that's all I want to know. He couldn't answer me so I told him send your manager back because I didn't ask to speak with you I was instructed by corporate support not to speak to anyone but the manager. Glenda comes back validating the employees decision because she says how he did it saves me $5-$6 a month Then she says she can't return the phone to redo the process and promotion bcus the promotion ended and I would have to deal with having the Samsung 9799 line on the account even though I don't have the phone. Which now causes me the customer to be penalized because your employee made a decision to secure commission on a sale that shouldn't have been completed on my account She goes to the back area and converses with the employee Anthony. She comes back with the Verizon corporate support rep on the line. Verizon phone rep wanted to know where and what's goin on w the Galaxy showing for phone ending w 9799. Glenda says ya know this is my first interaction with the customer I don't know what happen to that phone. The rep says is your employee there right now because I want to know where that Samsung ending in 9799 is that she brought to my attention Anthony says that he created a device to give the BYOD promo and placed the Galaxy, on my account because he created a fake ID for the Galaxy. The rep asked him why did you do that when you were supposed to upgrade and attach the promo to the existing customer line she uploaded and what you did was wrong. Anthony got upset and told the rep I didn't do anything wrong and I've got customers then walked off leaving the rep on the speaker phone with me. The rep said yes you processed this wrong and added a line to the customers account and that's an issue. So per the representative I'm not ever getting the byod promo bcus Anthony attached the deal to a fake ID Galaxy phone and number ending in 9799. So now the manager wants me to pay for 3 phone lines and take the $20 monthly discount or return my sons upgraded phone , she will also remove the Galaxy extra line and not have any discounts connected to my account any longer. She told the rep she didn't need him any longer, she would let me decide what I wanted, she got up walked to the back and never returned. At 4:54 pm we start looking around for her, she never came back she just left us sitting at the table and my son n I walked out at 5:03 pm bcus no one ever returned to resolve the unethical behavior and issue they caused my account. The managers actions are a violation of code of conduct and ethics which is a direct reflection of why her employee Anthony felt justified to do what he did on my account in December. Every organization has policies and procedures, the employees acknowledge and sign when they are hired and are held to that but with Verizon, fraud and ethics violations seem to be acceptable. I will be finding another carrier and taking my business to them and ending my relationship with Verizon due to no ethics and no policy adherence

Review #685 2026-051…read more I'm backtracking my review count to align with Yelp's count because the original #685 was for HRB that "it was removed due to the review & photos posted appears to depict a YEE" (this was weird because my next visit was 6 months after the YEE). Once this review is posted, my count is now aligned with Yelp's finally! A short review... yeah, this is considered short by my standards. I worked for a company that uses AT&T for their carrier & typically go to the Carson St. location (refer to Review #706), now closed, for their service needs. I stop by enough that I know most of the service technicians by name. This store is located on busy Crenshaw Blvd. across Torrance Crossroads, & is slightly larger. I had lunch takeout nearby & thought I could make this quick to turn in my manager's new iPhone (she mistakenly believed the camera lens cracked on her old iPhone but it was the case that had the crack, not the lens). Due to mailing trade-in issues previously, I handle my manager's AT&T issues in-store. I had a hard time with Blanca looking up V's info to submit the return, & wasted 30-mins. waiting for her to tell me that. Not only wasting my time, my lunch takeout has been sitting for 20+ mins. Aaugh... \(`0´)/ I think their service plan prices are on the higher side & their AT&T Protect Advantage for 4 program takes advantage of the customer instead of being an advantage for the company; had issues making claims for damaged iPhones that requires a non-refundable deductible. Then what's the point of the monthly expense at $540/year? That's a new iPhone every 2 years, & the company has been paying for this service for 10+ years. Yikes! I'm not an AT&T customer & don't intend to be especially after this.
