I hope I am getting the correct place because I believe that praise is due to all who carry out a job function well, and with a worthy sense of purpose that can only be described as dignified. After all, "dignity does not come from the work we do, but from how well we do it." So says Aristotle, and thus so say I. Lash from this AT&T store on Western Ave. next to a Fantastic's Sam and Subway, adjacent. personifies doing a job well with dignity and quiet passion. Oh, and to clarify, the Subway I am referring to, is not the Red line but the franchise restaurant. I am accident prone. I wish I could call myself adorkable but in reality I am just reckless- not bull in a china shop reckless, more like a frog jumping from lily pad to lily pad with a carefree spirit that results in more voluminous splashes that result in damage. That is basically how I broke my phone. I was at the gym, just me, the iron and the beats. I got lost in the moment. Which is good. But then I threw my phone and it hit the bench in such an angle that cracked my phone. It also left my screen black. Which is bad. Lash later told me that when I hit my phone on the bench I likely cracked the bulb inside my phone. There was no feasible repair option. I had to get a new one. A broken bulb shattered the utility of my iPhone--- how many bulbs are needed to turn on an iPhone? At least one. I had just gotten a phone a year ago. I am not sure what happened, but I broke my old one too. And Lash remembered me, a year later. That made me feel special--- cause I only go to this store when I need phones out of urgency, not out of plan, and he kind of remembered me. Kudos to him! I am embarrassed to admit that an iPhone is suppose to last at least three years, but with me they usually last one. And replacing an iPhone is necessary but expensive-- I cannot find a way to continue without my iPhone. I mean, I can, I for sure can but how? It would be like a ship captain trying to continue on a voyage without a map, a form of entertainment, immediate access to his mateys, or reminders that a mighty storm is coming. I mean he could continue with his voyage but would he want to? I guess once you attached yourself to life with a smartphone, there is no going back to a phone less life. Steve Jobs you changed the destiny of our world--- your rest is well earned. Lash helped me get my lifeline back. He offered options without being pushy. He placed a screen protector like he had done it 1000 times before, the day I went, and also in a past life. I trusted him to do what was right so I could get my phone back, at the best price possible and that says a lot because sales people are meant to take your money. And really, I abide---- cause I tend to be a willing victim. But Lash made me feel like he was not trying to do that. Unless, he was. But if he did he hid his intentions well. I forgot my iCloud.com password. He tried to help but he could not. I figured some stuff out by myself. I have to wait two days for my new password to come, and then I can have access to my old photos. They are not worth much, but they are mine. So I will wait. Plus all my apps will come back too. When I was ready to select my new 16 he brought one in black. I was like there are no more colors? And he said there was a pink. I was oh, I wanna see it. He then turned and brought a pink one- cotton candy pink- and a purple one. I communicated that I loved the pink one. He allowed me to view both phones- the pink and light purple- and I made a choice that fit my fancy, of course the pink one, I loved! At no point did he seem shocked, nor did he smirked. I applauded him for his maturity and professionalism. A young child said that her aunt had the same phone I did. I agreed and made a point to say it was pretty. A small reminder that the isms of the world are learned by kids and taught by adults. Oh one last thing. I did not catch the manager's name. But when I went back and Lash was leaving she stayed helping customers (inclduding me) and others. So this spot has Lash and a manager that handle business with a flouncy and professional step. read more

Don't use AT&T. Customer Service is really, really bad. Please read my original review to get an understanding of the oddyssee that it took to close a business wireless account. No only did it take a month (more than a month) of calling and getting routed to different departments, being given wrong phone numbers to call and limiting the hours that you can reach them (good luck getting a hold of them if you have to call after work...), but now they are trying to bill me for that time! They keep calling me trying to "resolve" the account. I told them that it took me so long to close the account because of their ridiculously bad service which seem to intentionally male it nearly impossible to close accounts. Try walking into the same retail front that so eagerly sells you accounts and try to close one and see what happens. Try doing it online and see if it is even possible. Then, try calling and see what labrynthine machinations you need to muddle through to finally, FINALLY getting to someone who has the power to close your account, but only, ONLY after you go through their client retention department and repeat three times the magic phrase, "I want to close my account," and you have a signed affidavit attesting to the fact, and have it notarized my a notary that gets a sufficient DNA sample and a pint of your blood. Then, and only then, will they allow you, THEIR CLIENT, to be released from the burden of their services. Then, they'll come after you for THE TIME THAT THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. Continued to cancel my first trade in and reprocess without my consent so I can't track my trade in and for two weeks didn't know where it was until customer service finally found it under a different invoice number. My worst experience ever. I was requested to go to an AT&T store to get a WiFi extender. I called this store at 980 N Western Av San Pedro CA 90731. Some male picked up the phone and told me they can't do anything over the phone and hung up. In the store they told me they don't order extenders and I should buy them from the BestBuys. I had an AI generated note sent to my cell phone by AT&T tech support, that guy refused to read it, I told him it's in B&W in plain English and he can read it. He became very aggresive and told me "Excuse me? That's very insulting!". Long story short the store manager intervened and told me that I was given the wrong info by the online tech assistance. I came home and it was solved via an AI chat in 5 minutes. Time to get rid of all such stores and employees who don't know what they are doing. I am never going there again. read more

I'm not a person to leave a bad review but this please need some serious help. This is the only AT&T login San Pedro. This store is always backed up and understaff. Also the staff here is not well trained and any question you have regarding your phone service, they are quick to send you somewhere else or to a different location. If you looking for a home internet this is the place to go. They are always trying to sell you home internet rather helping you with your phone device. The manager is over paid and for the store this size, you only have 2 to 3 staff that are not trained helping you on the sales floor. Expect to wait for a few hours at this store. read more

I visited the AT & T store in San Pedro on 11.10.2020 to get a low cost phone for my son. We were all set to get a flip phone for $60 and $20/month phone service. That's what I understood. I'm not saying I was lied to. When I found out the phone service was going to cost $60/month. I turned the phone back in the SAME day. Never even left the store. I was told that ALL charges would be reversed. On or about 11.21.2020 I received a bill in the mail for monthly service. I wrote to AT&T in San Pedro, Atlanta & Kansas City. I didn't hear back. I followed up on 12.4 and hand delivered it on 12.20.2020 and was told it was a $50 "restocking fee!" I then prepared to file a Small Claims action and emailed the AT & T agent for process of service. I also sent a certified letter to the San Pedro Store. I NEVER heard back from the San Pedro store on ANY of the letters I sent. I worked with a Gary in the office of the President. He agrees and would give me a credit, but the San Pedro store would NOT! I don't know where this store gets off, charging a restocking fee, when I never left the store, they said there would be no charge and they wasted my time not properly explaining the charges. When I finally understood, they charge me $50 for wasting my time. They should be paying me for the waste of time and certified mail... This was by far some of the worst service I'd ever received. I visited at the store on Tuesday, September 17 at around 7:33 PM. I was helped by a gentleman named Daniel who did a phenomenal job and he escalated this to who appeared to be the manager a young lady on duty. She was unable to look in the eye, the entire conversation texting on her phone and she finally looked up and said "you'll have to call loyalty and deal with it with them we can't help you in the store". As she finished with the customer ahead of me, another woman walked into the store. She pushed her way to the front and said "I just have a question about the ringtone." Yet another tale of lack of service at this location. I was a few days late paying my bill so I thought I'd drop by the store and drop off a check at 5:37 p.m. Employee Oscar told me that their "machine" is the only one that can accept a check and it "goes down" at 5:30. I asked if this was a new policy and he said no. I know for a fact that he was lying to me because I have given live, human being employees checks twice in the evening in the last five months without any problem. It's incredible how far AT & T's employees will go to avoid even the slightest semblance of work. Got a phone not too long ago. Felt extremely rushed. I got a screen protector, charger and a phone case. Before I paid I wanted to make sure that I got the items I had picked out and noticed that the most expensive items were there and not the ones I originally picked. I mentioned that those were the wrong items and the staff seemed very annoyed that I checked (and that I wanted to be frugal) & seemed mad when I asked to go back and get the items I originally asked for. He ended up making a rude remark which made me go very silent because I was so uncomfortable. He noticed my silence and tried to be nice by asking me what I did for work. I told him in one word and left it at that. He tried to be nice again, but I was so over everything at this point. I felt disrespected, rushed, and at best a burden. Karla was the representative that assisted my son and I. Karla's customer service skills were exemplary. You should employ more representatives with the customer service skills that she possesses, she should be given a raise & promoted to a position to train your representatives in-store and phone representatives. She was finishing up with another client but addressed us as soon as we entered the store Once she was done with the other client, she introduced herself and asked our reason for the visit. She immediately started to address our needs and she didn't stop until everything was taken care of. Due to unforeseen circumstances caused by me she had to re-address some areas that were already completed on both my phone & my son's phone. She kept the same welcoming, accommodating demeanor, told me not to worry and began to correct the mishap. She was amazing, I was really impressed as she is a young new mother and most young customer service representatives that I have encountered don't have the personality, skill set, nor patience that Karla demonstrated. Have been here a few times, with initial visits only for our AT&T internet issues, subsequent visits for cellular issues, because we $hitcanned Verizon for reasons privy too us... But, my most recent visit was about as pain-free as one could expect from a cellular service provider. I needed a new phone, because my dumb a$$ dropped mine in the pool, so came here, because it's literally less than a mile from my house. Was greeted immediately by "Karla" with no check-in / number pulling required. She asked what I needed, I responded quickly and she began suggesting options quicker that flies find $hit. While my initial choice was not available at that particular store, she did a quick inventory search, let me know what was available onsite, and I decided quickly. She helped me with the phone set up, supplemental options, (i.e., covers, screen savers, etc) and had me outta there in less than a half hour!!! Awesome job Karla!!! I walked into this AT&T store today in San Pedro hoping they could help with my IPhone 12 Pro Max which I've been unable to start the ERASE PHASE due to my young boy's incorrect password inputs. Not in the store for 10-seconds the Rep stated it was a IPhone store type of issue. She didn't even attempt to see what the issue was. Nevertheless I was there a year or so a ago and I spent over $2500 plus in that store for a iPhone12 Pro Max, iPad Pro and APPLE watch. Do not get lied to by Julio or anyone else at ATT they are liars and DO NOT want to help you! So here's the story.. 11 months ago I purchased and IPAD and the data plan for it. It stayed at home most of the time my wife and kids who would use it regularly so it was linked to Wi-Fi, recently I started my own business and had needed the iPad for work, I take it out and it doesn't connect to data! So I take it into the store on western in San Pedro CA (2/27/23), the rep immediately figures out that not only I had been over charged for some thing but a SIM card was never put into the iPad!! He asked where did you buy this, I said here, This is the only ATT I ever come too. He then advised me to call ATT to get a credit! He said this was someone's mistake! 11 months of payments for a data plan I couldn't use! So I go home and call ATT corporate, they came back and said we can only give you an 80 dollar credit, I said 80 dollars that's not even half! Then I asked for a supervisor, supervisor came on and repeated what the other then rep had said! And I said well that's not right? I didn't forget to put the SIM card in the iPad then! The supervisor said.. "I don't know why they told you to call us! It was the stores fault, the manager there could give you a credit, that's why we're only authorized to give you the 80 dollars, if I were you I would go back to the store for the rest of the credit" so the next day 2/28/23 I go back to ATT a rep welcomed me and asked what could she help me with and I told her the whole situation, she immediately becomes defensive and rude, I said could I see the manager, she's comes back out and said "he's in a meeting, for the next 45 mins" to which I said "that's fine I'll be back in 45 mins" to which she said, "I know he can't give you a credit!" So I return 45 mins they reps recognize me and said "we'll see if he's available" so in comes the manager Julio! Before I could get anything out he's says "I cannot give you a credit, I'm sorry" I said "why not? ATT corporate told me you could, they said this was the stores fault and you can?" I also got a little heated I admit and I said "something like so I'm just fucked?" He said I don't know why they told you that. Please don't use profanity or I will be forced to ask you to leave the store" so I calm down and said.. "let's call them?" Julio says you can call them but I will not talk to them!" I asked "why?" Julio just kept repeating I won't talk to them! Then disappears into the back room, so I call ATT I get rep explain to them the situation and say "I'm in the store the manager is hiding in the back and won't come out here and refuses to talk to you guys or talk to me" the rep automatically said "this is very unprofessional, I've never heard of a manager not willing to talk to us? I'm gonna get my supervisor this is unprecedented to me" after a lengthy wait because their supervisor was busy on another call I finally got the supervisor, (btw the rep was awesome as we were waiting for his supervisor they kept checking in on me and talking to me) so the supervisor asked for the manager ATT uid and the manger actually gave it them then asked for his name and he said "Julio" then asked to his last name and Julio said "I can't give you that" I said "you can take my phone into the back room if you'd like to give them your last name?" He refused! Then said "I told him I can't give him the credit because he bought the iPad over 2 months ago.." The ATT supervisor said " wow! Never mind, stop talking to him I can tell this is getting very unprofessional in his part, just talk to me." I'm assuming because not only would he not give them his name but because she heard his lie! The supervisor said ok give me a few minutes while I work on this. A few moments later she came back and said "sir I'm gonna go above and beyond for you, I got you the whole credit and we're gonna investigate this manger because there was no reason why HE COULDNT GIVE YOU THE CREDIT AND HELP YOU!" I held up my phone inside the store and I had been on speaker phone the whole time already and obviously people in the store were noticing and were on my side including and elderly lady who had even started talking about the situation and said she couldn't believe what was going.. but anyways I held up my phone and said can you repeat that? The supervisor did and I said so the manager is lying and she said "mhmm yes" I greatly thanked her and said how much I appreciated everything and said "should I take any action against the Julio?" and they said no we will but you can find out who the general manager is if you'd like. I said thanks again and we hung up I looked at Julio who had heard everything and said thank you and walked out.. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE LIE TO YOU!! Call corporate in front of them! Just like this store for their customers service. I went to the store and I was help by Berenice Beltran manager. After explaining she said she couldn't help me but she'll call the right depth. She placed the call and disappeared waited for 40 min when they answered wrong dept. Transfer again wait 20 min and they hag up. I asked anther person and didn't know what to do. All this time and the M.O.D not once came out. I request the #to complain and M.O.name. Didn't know it and went to get her . She came out and Asked me what happened. I told her that she called the wrong dept. That I got transfered and after an hour they hang up. No apology or intent to help. They just to be a great store don't know what happened. Also during the time I spent in the store l saw a lot of people going in waited for a while and leave no service and when they hang up.
