I give Derrick and his team 5 stars. Verizon I would give 0 stars. Actually negative stars would be more appropriate. I tried to upgrade to a Verizon phone and Verizon screwed it up in so many ways. they canceled it - flag it as fraud - tried to bill my credit card for the phone - suddenly I had two accounts - one in spanish - they flagged my account for fraud - told me that I could pay my bill in 5 days which I couldn't do then it made the phone outside of 30 days for return and demanded I pay full price for it and locked my credit card for 1100. when I bought the Verizon phone I kept it off forthe first two weeks due to the fact I had medical issues post surgery and a work place accident and I didn't terminate my other phone. I had to go 4 times for 10 hours total as customer service outside the store was the black hole of death - derrick spent hours on the phone as Verizon jerked him around in circles. The staff at this store is awesome. Verizon is not. The obviously offshore customer support is completely useless and many are just jack wagons reading from a script with zero ability to do anything but transfer your call to the next jack wagon. I am no longer a potential Verizon customer. read more

The AI that they use for call screen in customer service is not very smart I spoke to 10 customer service reps 8 were located in other countries 2 were in USA out 10 reps 0 were helpful after spending over 1 hour on phone I drove to store customer service is very weak. Phone service is very weak too I spoke last month or so with reps which informed me that we have an old plan and that we are deprioritizing our account meaning we're paying for the same service as another customer yet we are not getting the service we pay for when trying to access internet and have LTE with 4 bars and we get the spinning clock and when dialing and number which is good it say recording Verizon you can't make this call. Which Verizon has no clue why then yesterday when I spoke to the 2 reps in USA they argue with me and say Verizon don't deprioritize which I have already been told they do. On top of that Verizon sent me a text couple years ago said they would give me so much for my iPhone to upgrade to a newer model the one thing the didn't mention is that it's just another (scam) to get you into a 3 year contract meaning you can't pay off phone early which was never explained when I ask the 2 reps in USA for supervisor I was denied. So soon as my contract is up I will be going to another carrier and I will never use Verizon again---- your answer is same as your service poor and many many review comments state the fact of poor customer as I said along with poor service would love to talk with ceo Hanns however he hides read more

I am terribly disappointed that I took the time to drive from Wylie to Plano based on their yelp reviews to port over a phone from spectrum and add a new phone! After having to drive there twice over two days and then having to call Verizon customer service a week later to get this all set up CORRECTLY! I worked with a young man named Patrick at Plano location that definitely needs more training. Here were the issues: 1. Put my name in backwards- which created a myriad of issues with approval and final porting 2. Promised me $10 for having a Walmart Plus account but it was to add Walmart Plus account which I already had. 3. He never set up my autopay 4. He bit his nails my entire two visit times and would touch my phone screen. I was really grossed out. Not yo mention this is absolutely not sanitary. 5. The manager and other 3-4 male staff were having a personal discussion so loudly I had to pause with Verizon customer service while in Their store and ask them to be quiet!!! Can you imagine? 6. Training of staff for professional, decorum, customer service, etc. Is subpar. You will be better off just call Verizon rather than driving to this retail location! Waste of time! This place was great!! I will always come here from now on. I had a very unusual and difficult problem with my Fold4, but Terrance and Rafeal handled everything for me with knowledge, professionalism, patience (with me), and kindness. I highly recommend this store for any issues you may be having with your phone, or if you just want to sign up with Verizon and get a great plan with great service. One issue I must address is NEVER CALL the online customer service! I was on my husband's phone 2 hours with zero results for my phone. Always just go to a store, preferably this one. I have used Verizon for over 20 years. It is a reliable cell network, and i have always had great customer service. I had a data issue recently and went to a Verizon dealer on 3220 E Hebron Parkway in Carrolton. The service there was excellent. I found I was able to upgrade my old plan at no cost. There was a lady there (I regret I forgot her name) but she is most personable and helpful. I just wish more customer service folks were like her. I strongly recommend this outlet of TCC which is a Verizon licensed dealer. read more

After my last visit, I have to bump up this store to a 5 star rating. I went in for a couple of things, to take a line off my account and to check the diagnostics on my S4 to see why it was heating up. The individual who helped me was Mo Kahlun...he took care of everything quickly and efficiently. He checked my phone out and there was apparently something wrong enough with it that he had a replacement shipped out to me overnight (I have the protection plan, so it was covered). Without too many hoops to jump through, he canceled the line from my account. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. For a store that was very busy, I truly appreciated it. For me, this was an example of great customer service. It stood out even more to me because of the experience I had at a different Verizon store not two days prior. Terrible experience at this location. My kid put my phone in a glass of water so I was forced to buy a new phone. I came in and the associate that worked with me has got to be the laziest most un-driven sales person I've ever encountered. Not only was I uncomfortable asking questions but when I did, getting a clear answer was like pulling teeth. I was stressed and needed to get connected - like most people much of my work communication is with my phone - I wasn't really focused while purchasing. I wanted 256 but he gave me a 128 - I had no idea it was only $100 more. Purposely did not get Insureance through hi or the store, decided not to buy the extra charging battery - I'll get it from somewhere, same for the case, screen protector etc. I was also in the market for an iPad for my sons school - nope decided not going to get it from here or the associate helping me. I tried to ask for differences in phones and got no answer, I tried to ask about dependable cases, no answer, several really awkward pauses. This guy offered no information I had to sell the phone to myself practically. Cant remember his name but he was the chubbier short hair blonde guy. Total business downer. I got the run around during a 1hour customer support call with VerizonWireless and was told I needed to physically go to a store to have my issue resolved. I visited this VerizonWireless location last month and had a positive experience with Pattrick so I went back in to see if I could get help with the device return. I worked with Terrance and after explaining the situation, he assisted me with contacting customer care on speakerphone to ensure the problem was explained in detail. I have been a customer for 22 years and if it was not for employees like Terrance who go the extra mile; I would switch to a cheaper provider. My issue was resolved fully after speaking with a manager in the in-store customer support group (not the usual customer care number) and I am fully satisfied with the outcome of my support request. Do not use Verizon! Only had 2 lines for one week, couldn't get a signal at home or work. Returned phones, cancelled service and now being charged for activation and other fees of $153.75 for phones we couldnt use. Store personnel said nothing they could do. Either pay up or get a ding on your credit report. Also tried to call customer service but couldn't get through the system using account #, SSN, or line #s. As if account never existed! Yet still being billed. Store staff said they know it's a problem but SORRY for the inconvenience that their phone system doesn't work. read more

Yeah, this place is really disorganized. The manager here is in way over their head. Cant manage the in coming customers at all. You'll walk in, be ignored for about half an hour until some one finally asks if they can help. The employees there are barely trained on using anything but the iPhone-several people actually like other phones besides the iPhone you know? The manager there doesn't care about the customers coming in, as long as he gets the activation numbers he needs to continue to brown nose the other idiots above him. I really like this location! The staff is always helpful and is so nice. I have been to other locations were I could tell someone was just trying to make quota, but this store seems to have figured out finding people who really care to help make your life easier. They were knowledgeable and made sure I got what would be the best for my lifestyle, and since I have to use all these devices for work, I cannot to begin to tell you how much I appreciated their time. I won't go back there. I went in there since I qualified for a free upgrade of my iphone. I was greeted by a Fios guy who referred me to an iphone guy. That guy (young Latino looking) was very arrogant and condescending. He was speaking very fast and seemed annoyed by my presence. When I was not really interested in upgrading to iphone 5c which has same memory as iphone 4 that I currently have he didn't have anything else to offer me, but online I discovered that I qualify for some LG phones as well. This is the most dishonest company I have ever done business with. They promised my bill for one phone line would be $100/month. They have charged me around $300 (Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less) every single month for almost 5 months in a row. Each month, I get the SAME excuse... "Next month it will be better. We promise." I understand, they make customers pay a month in advance. I switched to T-Mobile and now for some reason My bill "final bill" that has been DISCONNECTED FROM VERIZON for over a month is $437. How is this when I had to pay double the first month as its "Pre-paid" They send an illegal bill with NO detail of the charges to make it difficult to receive help paying for their services when you switch to a company who actually charges you as advertised. I have called customer service multiple times and have yet to get in touch with the "right person" to get a copy of a correct bill stating the items that add up to $437 on a disconnected phone. T-Mobile will pay off this $300-$400 final outrageous monthly bill I keep receiving. Apparently, they mess that up too. They are extremely DISHONEST. I don't understand how they think over charging THIS much and communicating so little is even legal. I will be consulting with an attorney soon about this issue. When I get home later I have no issue posting pictures of the outrageous bills from each month along with this review. read more

Being new to yelp.. Im not sure how to (or if its possible) to write a review for the verizon customer service vs a particular store.. my complaint is with Verizon's business practice.. So heres to the scoop.. I started service with Verizon in April 2014 with two phone lines on a family plan. Recently I moved one of my lines back to sprint (I get better service in my house with Sprint) and I kept the other line w/ verizon. My bad for not checking my plan when I ported the other line back to Sprint-- but lets face it, life happens and we forget somethings. I ported my line to Sprint on Nov 6 and didnt get a chance to check on my account or call customer service unti Nov 25. ((In the back of my mind, I was thinking that Verizon would realize that I no longer had two lines thus a family plan was useless and they would automatically place into a comparable single line plan )) I know I shouldnt assume these things.. which is what prompted my call on Nov 25, thinking Verizon would help me out. I was told that they cannot change my account until my next billing cycle (which is December 15). So needless to say.. I am less than impressed that Verizon is unable to prorate my bill to reflect this change! This is the first time I have experienced something like this with a cell phone company. If I were to change to plan to a more expensive plan- the change can be made retroactive or the day of the call but since my plan change results in a lesser amount.. I have to wait until my next billing cycle.. Hmm.. seems strange to me. Thanks but no thanks Verizon.. I suppose now is the time to port over that other line as well.. read more
