This AT&T store's sales reps will lie, cheat, and commit literal FRAUD to meet their sales metrics. My elderly parents were helped by ANNA to upgrade their iPhones and not only did she change our family plan when they explicitly told her NOT to make ANY plan changes, she replaced a feature I was grandfathered into for the newer one that raised our bill by $30/month. Since I keep our bill on autopay it took several months before we realized what had happened and when I returned to this store with my elderly dad we were met by the apparent manager of the store, who was wearing a red wig with bad skin. She was one of the rudest customer-facing worker I've ever come across. She refused to listen to our complaint, which costs us hundreds of dollars, and took zero accountability for her sales reps blatant act of FRAUD. She even had the audacity to insult my 84 year old dad as we were leaving due because of his difficulty walking without assistance After speaking to at least 5 different customer service reps via 611, we were ultimately told that the grandfathered plan couldn't be re-added so we were forced to move to a lesser plan just to keep the bill around the same amount. After 15 years with AT&T I switched to T-Mobile and their customer service has been excellent. A month later when I went in to have it resolved due to a SEVERE increase, Miss Destiny kept saying 'my bad' it's supposed to be this and when I went back again she wasn't there but Chris saw me coming and scampered in the back room and wouldn't come out even when I asked for him. Completely unhelpful, condescending, and rude. Had already spent FIVE HOURS on the phone with ATT support today and was told that the store manager could assist. Walked in and asked for the manager and the first employee refused to get the manager. I told him that I had been on the phone all day and was told to come in and speak with a manager directly, which is why I kept asking for the manager. He still refused and said "There's a proper way to speak to people and answering their questions is part of that." (While usually true, it doesn't apply when you already have specific instructions to just talk to the manager.) Also, there were five employees sitting ten feet away in an other wise empty store watching this interaction. Eventually, another employee that had been standing there approached and said he was the manager. He then told me that the phone supervisor was lying and he couldn't do anything. He said that my bad attitude was probably why they lied, so they would get me off the phone. I told him that there was obviously a disconnect between what the stores think the phone agents can do and what the phone agents think the stores can do since they were both telling me that the other group could assist. He said there was no disconnect, he knew exactly how it works, and how I speak to people is why they won't help me. (For pointing out that they are giving contradicting advice.) So at this point I've been at this store maybe 5 minutes and have been told multiple times that my attitude is an issue, you know, like how a teacher might correct a child. All while stating that there's nothing they can possibly do to help. After the last condescending, belittling, pompous remark, I said "Fuck this and fuck AT&T" and walked to the door to leave. As I'm opening the door, he yells out "sir! SIR!" I stop and turn and he says "okay I'm going to have to ask you to leave now." .....what?!? What does it look like I'm doing? Do people usually leave this store a different way? Jump through the windows maybe? I said, "Way ahead of you buddy" and left. What an absolute waste of space. The attitude this guy had was unbelievable, it was an incredible mix of arrogance and complete ineptitude. This store has the worst customer service of any of the AT&T stores in my area. The employees were rude and condescending. When we walked in, there were 6 employees, including the manager. Three customers in the store and only 1 was being helped. I was returning a phone that my elderly dementia sister was sold. She is on my family plan and they didn't bother to check if she was authorized- which she wasn't to purchase a new phone. They would not waive the restocking fee of $55 and would not let me speak to a supervisor. I subsequently called 611 and learned that I could return the phone to AT&T via UPS at no charge and no restocking fee. I would never recommend this store to anyone. I've been due to upgrade my phone for over a year+ and decided to go back to my favorite AT&T store (US 75 & Plano Parkway in Plano, TX) on Saturday 2/13/21. I was greeted by Nick Gunning and he was great to work with - very helpful and he answered all of the questions and he helped me order a new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I ordered the silver and it was due to ship in two weeks on Friday, 2/26. He said I could sell my current iPhone 8 Plus for a $700 credit! He also offered to help me migrate my info from my current phone to the new phone, once I receive it. He said to make sure and back up my phone before coming in. Well, on 2/26, I received an email from AT&T saying that my order was delayed and it would now be another 4 weeks before it would ship! My son told me I should cancel that order and order directly from Apple, which is what I did. I ordered the same exact phone on 3/1 and I received it the next day on 3/2! I decided to go back to the AT&T store to buy a protective glass screen cover for the new phone. Nick was not working that day, but a super helpful Stephen Wade was and he took excellent care of me! He helped me migrate the info over from the old to the new phone. I even said - full disclosure- I canceled my order for this phone through AT&T and this phone was sent by Apple. He didn't have to help me, but HE DID! That speaks volumes about his professionalism and his character! He also installed the protective glass cover with great care. Finally, Stephen helped me erase all data from my old phone and logged it in and provided me a receipt so my credit could be processed. I highly recommend the team at this location! I have never had a less than stellar experience. I noticed that all the customers looked to be in the 50+ age range. But let tell you about this specific location. First, I go put my name on the list etc. Fine. I specifically ask the guy if I can swap the SIM card from my iPhone 12 to my iPhoneX. He responds and says "yes, of course" ...so what do I do? Sit down and try to swap them myself. Note: I was in this same store THREE DAYS prior and bought an Apple Watch. So in 3 days - I'm now not allowed to do anything with my account?!??! Cool! Manager! In February 2020 I went in to this store to get a new phone. I talked to Nashwa. The special that day was that ATT would give you $500 toward a new phone if you traded in an old one. I did that. After I picked out and paid for my $500 part of the phone, Nashwa told me that this deal was actually for two lines and I only had one. She says no worries, she's going to create a fake line for me, and in a week or so, put my iWatch on that line. All would be well. Well my first bill was around $200. She told me it would be high. My bad for not looking in to that further. The next bill was like, $140 or so if I recall. I looked at that bill very closely and it showed that for two months, I'd been paying for two lines, not one. Additionally, the second, fake line, had a MAKE BELIEVE PHONE ON IT. And, I was paying insurance on both the fake phone and the real one. So I started calling again. ATT Billing said I had to go to the store. There wasn't anything they could do. I did. Nashwa told me she would fix it, but she didn't. I kept asking and finally she stopped answering me. I moved up the chain of command to Bree. Bree is still a manager at this store. Bree told me she would handle it. She couldn't. Eventually I had to go to the store, pretend to trade in my new phone for a different new phone, and get the newest, latest deal. That deal was they'd pay $300 for the trade in. However, that was at least a plan with one line. So I ate another $200. The next bill I got was also wrong. Bree had assured me my bill would be $63. I contacted her and again she assured me my next bill would be $63. I can't remember exactly. Maybe one month it was $63. Then they started charging me for my "new phone". I called again. My next bill was $86. Although I contacted Bree a couple more times, and got no relief, I once again decided to eat that cost and just pay $86 a month for the next 27 months. After all, $86 wasn't that bad really. So I got ripped off. Whatever. Well, fast forward to my FOURTH bill. IT was $96!!! I contacted the store again and this time I got another manager, Ashley. SHE said she'd fix it and call me back. She did not call. I called to speak to her the next day and a representative said she was with a client and would call me back. 90 minutes later I called her again. She didn't call back. They representative at the store said "She's not here. I don't know where she is.". I gave up and called ATT billing. Amelia answered this time. She listed to my entire story without interrupting. She was livid, as was her manager. They are filing a formal investigation for that store and its employees. Each person I dealt with, Nashwa, Bree, and Ashley will be investigated. I did switch plans with Amelia today. It's a 3 GB plan, not what I wanted but, what I can afford. Amelia credited me $100 for the money I spent on the two months of fake lines and fake insurance, and then $20 for the last two months I was "overcharged" - which wasn't really an overcharge it was just over what I'd been promised. LISTEN FOLKS - DO NOT GO HERE. Don't deal with Nashwa, Bree, or Ashley. Go to another store. read more

The time to wait had nothing to do with anything. I was waiting on a specific technician, Raza. Raza deserves a five all day. His patience and knowledge base is superb. He remember me for my last visit when I brought a broken phone in for a battery repair for my daughter. We discussed upgrading my phone and gave me some really pertinent information regarding the pixel pro buds. I told him I would follow up with him once the new pixel 7 had been available to pre-order. It took a while as he was looking for a promotion that was supposed to be until 10/6/22. We got the pre-order done for the phone but could not find the promotional for the buds. We assumed that it had ended when the clock changed to midnight on the 6th. I had a trade in, and told him I would be back when I received the new product for some accessories. I would like to say thank you Bradi! You made the tiresome process more than acceptable. After 2 plus hours on Sunday and another hour on Monday, mostly being on hold from multiple "tech supports," you helped me get set up. The actual manager of this location, Bree W., assisted us and was extremely unprofessional! She did not verify what phone we actually needed assistance with and messed up the wrong number on our account. After we brought this to her attention, she was very rude and stated we never told her it was for a different number. This is something that should have been verified before moving forward. Moral of the story, the manger of this location was not professional. She did not provide acceptable customer service, and set a poor example of management for AT&T. Recently my wife and I stopped into our neighborhood AT&T store at 811 N Central Expressway Plano TX 75057. She had a gift card and wanted to use it to purchase the new iPhone and renew her contract. The first sign of trouble showed itself when the greeter opened the door for us. As she was not dressed for inclement weather and it was surprisingly cold outside, I commented, "You kinda got the crummy job tonight!" in a jovial tone, whereupon she looked at me with disdain and sneered, "I'm just opening the door for you". Okay... odd, but likely being in the cold wasn't leaving her in a great mood. I dismissed it and we moved to the cheerful router, who sent us to meet our specialist for the evening, Tennyson. Once we were seated I sat quietly while my wife began explaining what she was after, and while the agent's answers were curt, they weren't rude up until the point where my wife indicated 'she will be upgrading too'. This stopped the process dead in its tracks as Tennyson made it a point to stop what he was doing and look up, then around. "She? Who you talkin about? Is there another woman here? You said she, it confused me." There were three of us at the table. No mistaking his 'confusion'. I'm a transsexual. So is my wife. And snide little asides like this are not something that I pay for when seeking services. When the agent went out of his way to insure that he had made his feelings about me abundantly clear, I chuckled. It isn't the first time I have ever run into a bigot, nor do I suspect it will be my last. But it is the first time I have encountered one in an AT&T store. He went to the back, collecting a few more of the black polo-shirted agents as well, glancing over his shoulder at us and snickering. I convinced my wife that our money would be best spent elsewhere. She made an excuse about not having the pin for the card on her person when he finally returned and we left, though in truth I would have been far more content to just walk out. The longer I thought about his pointed insult the more irritated that I became. I work as a manager, and I have to answer to my customers for the actions of my employees. Transphobic behavior such as this is intolerable in the 21st century, yet there it was, and I suspect will remain. I expect a degree of professionalism out of AT&T, and their representatives. If I want to be insulted by a frat boy for not adhering to his personal standards of feminine beauty then I will go to a fraternity party, not an AT&T store. We did buy a new phone, from another location where we were treated with respect and dignity. And quite frankly, we won't be returning to the AT&T store at Colin Creek, because if that is who they employ then they clearly do not need our business. Nor anyone that of anyone else who will listen to us. I'll be reposting this to Yelp and Google as well, and I will cheerfully tell anyone else who will listen to avoid this location. I get it; wireless reps work for sales commissions. All sales reps work for the commission. What separates a real sales rep from some slick chump are the ones who don't overlook the customer walking in the door looking for quick changes that wouldn't waste more than 5 minutes of the shoulder slung fanny-packed ipad fumbling. Although the girl who opened the door and welcomed me was friendly; after taking my name and asking what my issue was, I was promptly forgotten for those customers looking to upgrade or buy new phones. So like a kid in a candy store, I began to fidget with the widgets and touch every phone and demo item in the store. 5 minutes go by, three employees come back for lunch. 10 minutes go by, 2 more come back for lunch, 15 minutes go by and a chewing gym smacking rep nods at me and proceeds to text, who I'd assume is his buddy or girlfriend while leaning on the counter. So much for the service portion, amIright? Anyways, here's something to save you 15 minutes of your life: 1800-331-0500 then repeatedly hit 0. That's the number for AT&T phone customer care, they're open on weekends. It'll get you faster and more courteous service. I know this because I called this number while standing in store waiting. So the first and only time I came to this AT&T store was the day the iPhone 5 came out. Granted, not the best day to write a review about a store, but I'm still miffed enough to give my opinion. My mom had gotten me the iPhone 4 two weeks before the iPhone 5 was going to come out, so I immediately called AT&T and asked if I could trade it in and pay the difference. They told me yes, and I had to pay a $30 re-stocking fee. Sure, whatever, I just wanted an iPhone 5 (my first smart phone!) So I called this store around 11 that Friday morning to ask if they had any iPhones left (I had class in the morning) and was told yes, they had a few left. So I raced over to the store, checked in, and eagerly waited. Once I was directed to an employee, I explained my situation. She told me she was not sure that they could do that and went to talk to her manager. Once she came back, she said her manager had approved the request and went on to input the information in the system. And then--screech--"oh, this is the iPhone 4? This is a clearance item, we can't return clearance items." ... I had definitely confirmed with AT&T customer service that I had an iPhone 4 and I was allowed to do the trade-in. She went to talk to her manager again and said he agreed with her and she would not do the exchange. She suggested I go back to the AT&T store where I made the purchase to see if they would do the exchange for me. So I live in Richardson, and I ended up having to drive all the way to Fairview where I did not even ask if they had iPhone 5s available--I just wanted to know if they would trade it in for me. They said yes, they could do that and they did not know why the other AT&T store would not do the exchange. This mess would have been fine except for the vast difference in customer service I experienced in Plano vs Fairview. The Plano store employee was pretty curt and unhelpful, and she would not let me speak to the manager about my situation. read more

Once I got to my car I noticed my car was unplugged. I can only guess it was mgmt that unplugged my car as I've read other people complain. Update: I didn't end up calling the store where I bought iPad mini from because I do not want to deal with them at all. I do not believe they will be helpful or honest. So I called att customer service again and was told they couldn't do anything about my iPad mini contract unless I wanted to pay for early termination fee of $146. They did offer to ameliorate the situation by increasing my phone data by 1 GB and reducing the payment by $10. So essentially I would be paying the same amount per month as if I didn't have the iPad mini plan. Plus 1 extra GB. that does make me feel somewhat better. I just wish I didn't have to go thru this in the first place. And I am strongly considering switching to T-Mobile for my cell phone because of my bad experience at this store. I had to make an unexpected new phone purchase today & wasn't in the best of moods. Bradi helped me & could not have kinder despite my initial demeanor. I apologized profusely. I'm disappointed it even took me even a minute to remember how difficult their work must be these days. She went above & beyond in helping me make the necessary decisions & changes. She was very well informed & made an unpleasant task so much easier. The store manager was great as well. A very rude customer came in while I was there and refused to wear a mask. The store was quite crowded & they were so busy. The manager did everything he could to appease & help the customer, even offering to find a phone case for him & bring it out...to no avail. I think all the customers were nervous as the gentleman tried to make a scene, but the manager was calm & professional the whole time. read more

PROS: plenty of staff to help. Didn't have to wait. Associate seemed very knowledgeable. CONS: Very bad at trying to sell you way more than what you're aiming to purchase. Example: I bought a new iPhone and our associate then tried to sell me an iPad with data service, and a direct TV package. It almost felt like going to a car lot dealing with a car salesman. It started making my trip very uncomfortable and I almost terminated my purchase. Buying a phone shouldn't be this uncomfortable. My next iPhone purchase will be at the Apple Store or online.
