I've had experience with many carriers over the years, and T-Mobile seems to be the least slimy. Yeah, they're all scum, but at least T-Mobile tries to break through. Reception in most cities is "adequate" to "great". Occasionally you will find a city that was overrun by another carrier and you have reception issues, but most of the time it's fine. T-Mobile seems to utilize cross-carrier roaming in those more difficult cities. You won't get great data speeds in those cases (as T-Mobile is essentially running as an MNVO), but it still works. In other cities, you will get mind blowing speeds. I'm talking about speeds that theoretically max out your device. I'm happy to say that is more the rule than the exception. With the 5G rollouts, not only are the speeds increasing, but the availability of data in a crowd is increasing too. What I personally like is that my T-Mobile plan has free data and texts when I'm traveling to other countries. With other carriers, that's an extra fee. This is WAY more convenient than getting an unlocked cell phone and finding a local SIM card for data in a foreign country. People at T-Mobile stores are generally well-qualified and trained, and helpful. Occasionally, you will find someone who attempts to add a hidden warranty to a new device sale, but even that is quickly and easily resolved by a call to T-Mobile's great customer service team. I've never had a bad experience with any T-Mobile representative on the phone, which is rare now a days. read more

I've never had a problem with this store until Alison. She makes a mistake on which model I've requested, and price ,and then blames me for the mistake. I wanted a refund and my trade-in back after hearing the correct models price and it couldn't be done. Complete waste of time after they bought sprint. Went in to get a new phone and was not told the complete situation. There was no point of upgrading if I couldn't pay it off completely. This rating is in comparison to other T-mobile locations. The staff is rude, and the store is understaffed. There is always a wait at any T-mobile and I'm conditioned to this but the wait here is like no other locations. The staff looks unhappy and you can pick that up as soon as you start a conversation. Buyer beware. We thought we used the jump program to get a new phone. The tmobile store employee had me pay off the EIP balance on the old phone, he kept the old phone and refused to give it back. I called and talked to Tmobile loyalty and they confirmed the store employee stole the old phone. read more

First off, I don't feel five stars is a sufficient rating for my experience with this store and its employees. Going in, this was already going to be a difficult experience because we were transferring 3 lines from AT&T and 1 line from Sprint with two phone trade-ins and two phone unlocks. We have been wanting to leave AT&T for some time as we've been having issue upon issue with them. So, we get there and a T-Mobile associate, Britton B., is assigned to our visit; he has no idea how poorly his night is about to go. All of the issues we experience are the fault of AT&T or ourselves, and unfortunately Britton is the poor soul who had to deal with all of it. Britton starts pulling up our account with AT&T to confirm the numbers could be ported over which comes up with an error message stating the phone has not been paid off. We knew this was not correct as we had confirmed on our account that all of our phones were paid off earlier in the year and our PIN wasn't working making it seem as though we had the wrong AT&T account number despite the fact we were using the same account number that was shown on our wireless plan and bill (not the first time this had happened). Since AT&T's system denied the request, TM couldn't port over those lines until that had been resolved, so Britton proceeded doing what he could do for us which was set-up the new iPhones and porting over the phone number from the sprint account. He also performed TWO phone back ups and recoveries for the new phones because WE didn't get that done before coming in (AGAIN, I'm so, SO sorry). This means Britton's 8:00 PM closing time turned into a 10:30 PM closing time. Any normal associate would have shown some aggravation or even just exhaustion from such a long work day, but Britton never skipped a beat. He always had a smile and was very kind the entire time. He even told us to ask for him when we came back the next day to finish up the ports (most people would have just crossed their fingers that we got a different associate when we came in). On my first call to AT&T before returning to the TM store, the AT&T associate confirmed the correct account number for me and confirmed that all of the phones we were trying to transfer were paid off. When I requested they unlock our phones, per T-Mobile's request, I was told by the AT&T rep that T-Mobile had to do that. So, I believed them and went back to TM thinking the issue was resolved. When we walked into the store, Britton immediately came over to check in with us to see how our conversation with AT&T went and see where we stood. He used the account number AT&T gave us and still received the error that our phones weren't paid off so they couldn't be unlocked and ported over. We had to call AT&T yet again and Britton even offered to speak with AT&T for us if they refused to help me again. AT&T repeatedly refused to understand that their system wasn't working properly. I went back into the TM store and Britton spoke to them for me and was able to get them to transfer me to an advanced support team to look into what was wrong with our account and, eventually, they were able to perform manual unlocks on our phones after spending over an hour that day dealing with AT&T support. Without Britton's assistance, I probably would have spent 2 hours or more trying to get AT&T to agree to work with us. He did not have to go out of his way to help us like this, but he did...again. When I came back in, Britton was busy helping other customers, so Becca L. offered to help despite not knowing everything going on with our phones. She was able to confirm the manual unlocks were successful and she finished porting over the last two phone numbers for us very quickly and we both celebrated the destruction of the old AT&T sim cards. Throughout this entire experience, Britton was incredibly professional and showed absolutely no signs of frustration despite him having MORE than enough reason to be annoyed. Not only did he make it seem like it didn't bother him at all, he continually tried to help us feel less guilty as we apologized 30-something times for causing him so much trouble. **To his manager/RM, he deserves a raise solely based off this experience alone. To you, it was just a difficult customer experience; to us, Britton graciously handled a situation that has caused my mother severe stress and anxiety for years. Britton, you helped take a huge weight off her shoulders and I cannot thank you enough. You're an outstanding individual.** I wish I could have been able to tip him, because he more than deserved a massive tip. Please consider this my nomination for Britton for any employee awards or recognitions T-Mobile sponsors based on the experience of a very happy, new T-Mobile customer. Hats off to Becca, as well, for not running and hiding when Britton wasn't available. You're a brave soul. read more

The Murphy location is a nice, newer store. We went in to upgrade our phones. We were buying both an inexpensive, no-frills smart phone and an all-the-bells-and-whistles smart phone. On our first visit, just to check things out, the gentleman who greeted us seemed only half interested in talking with us. He was nice enough and seemed helpful, but he kept looking over at other customers. This was a little distracting and we couldn't help but feel like we were keeping him from something. We were then passed off onto another sales person... okay.... She was friendly and helpful and more thorough in answering our questions. We ultimately returned to the store and purchased from her. She was pushing the hard sell on accessories, which I always find a little off putting, but she was otherwise helpful in answering questions and getting things setup for us. It's a nice, clean store and in a convenient location for us. I think their accessories prices are too high (typical of most all phone carriers), and don't like a hard sell. It will continue to be our regular location for visiting T-Mobile. read more

I wish there was a way to give this store "negative" stars because that may describe my countless negative experiences at this store. First of all, you would think that during the HOLIDAYS there would be more than 2 employees working on a Thursday evening?? I mean isn't this the time where they make most of their money? I had to wait in line for more then 30 minutes to be attended to, might I add once again DURING THE HOLIDAYS! Anyway, there are 2 idiots working at this store and judging from previous reviews, I believe others have had the same experience as mine. SUPER unhelpful, have the WORST WORST WORST customer service ever! They are unhelpful and really don't care about your problems. On top of that, apparently NO manager works here until closing. Their manager "Michael" was supposed to call me back last week about something very important regarding my phone as my warranty is about to expire and he's only there during the morning/afternoons in which I am unable to stop by due to work. It's been about 6 days and nothing. Basically they are out to get your money and once you sign up with their plan, GOD forbid you have any issues post-signing up because they will make you feel like nothing. This store is the most convenient to me as I live nearby, however after several occasions of being treated like less than nothing, I will never return to this store. I will NOT ever recommend this store to anyone, and if you're reading this review, please make the drive out and go to any other T-Mobile store if you want any kind of help/assistance. read more

Wow, What a horrible customer service experience. About thirteen days ago I ordered 3 iPhone 6s from this store, (2) 6s 64mb and (1) 6 plus. At the time Apple was shipping backordered 6s in about a week. After about 10 days and no email confirmations or communication from Tmobile, I thought something might be amiss and I visited the Frisco Tmobile store to check on the status. A kind and courteous young rep check the order and said "oh it looks like they screwed up your order"; apparently they didn't put my email in right or at all and I was able to receive the EIP? agreement that was necessary to approve the order. Upset, I called the Murphy store and explained the situation to Mike the manager. He told me that he had 1 silver 128mb iPhone 6 that he would hold for me and he could get the other 6 sent next day. So after driving an hour in traffic I arrive to find Mike getting in his car as I was walking in. Mike said unfortunately that phone he had sold.. ugh. But, I could order two phone 128mb phones that he promised would be available next day. So I spent about an hour doing a new order with a friendly rep. Now I get an email saying "we will ship the phones when we get them from the manufacturer. I call to see what they could do to help.. It's my son's birthday today and he only wanted an iPhone 6... So rep named Ladarian? answered and was snarky and unhelpful. Anyway, not a happy camper. read more
