Nicky scammed me. I asked to upgrade my account and was told I would be Paying the same amount. Somehow I ended up from a $100/month bill to a $200 a month bill. And when I asked if I can change it was told I can't cancel it until 1 year being in this monthly payment unless I pay to break the equipment fee that I don't even use. When I got my iPhone off of him he tried adding some charges for "set up fee" which I can completely do myself. Horrible attitude by the two guys who worked there. We made an appointment on the phone with Verizon. When we got there he took another women and said he takes the appointments he makes first. Tried calling Verizon, but they are all in other countries and could care less. We waited an hour because he said the other guy was at lunch. This store is a total scam. We went in to upgrade our phones. Before we got started the salesman ask if we needed screen protectors. We said we eventually would. He jumps up and grabs them and puts them on the phone. He does not disclose the price. They were $67 a piece. We have two phones. So before we got started we are out almost $140. Then we asked about the promotion that has been advertised. He gave us the cost per month for the I-pads and watch. It seemed reasonable. He did not mention that they charge $50 per phone for the upgrade and $40 per I-Pad and watch. We are now at $360. Then they add is sales tax of $320. None of this was communicated during the process. We also had pay $280 in buyback costs!!! At the end of the day we incurred over $1000. Additionally, he lied about the additional costs per month for the service. He said it would go up by $30 per month, however it was really $110 per month. We made the decision to return the I-pads. When I went to do he then wanted to charge us another $100 in restocking fees. I have been on the phone with Verizon trying to work through this process. Beware of this store and its employees. Don't go here! I went to have me new phone set up and data from old phone transfered. Big mistake. This was one of the worse retail customer service experiences across all retail categories, and in the top three with Verizon. Staff barely acknowledged my presence even though I was the only customer in the store. Now I know why. The person assisting me barely looked at me while doing the transfer. He was too busy talking to the other two about his truck being detailed and what was everyone having for lunch. He got stuck in the process and got some help. Finally it was finished and was told it was all set up. I should have checked before leaving the store, but frankly I couldn't wait to get out of there. BIG mistake! When I tried to use new phone I couldn't make or receive calls. Sane with my old phone. I had no cellphone that worked. From home I contacted Verizon Customer Service. They were very nice and helpful. But I was on the phone with them for over an hour. This screw up at the store messed up my debit card, Zelle, and connecting with auxiliary devices like earphones, car radio, some aps because they didn't recognize the phone even though it was the same number. This major screw up wound up getting my debit card shut down. And even after 45 minutes with their customer service was told the system could not recognize or verify the phone. Thank you very much for ruining yesterday and most of today trying to fix you MAJOR SCREW UP! Great job. I'll be sure and recommend you. Ha! When hell freezes over. read more

Employees are not capable of getting anything done. Went to this location to merge accounts and upgrade one phone. We wasted 3.5 HOURS of our time. After 3.5 HOURS we were told it would be another .5 hour to 1 hour. We do not have 4.5 hours to spend at a store. Update: After speaking with a Verizon corporate representative, it appears this store had no clue what they were doing or absolutely knew what they were doing and trying to drop and add plans to earn commissions. We were offered a phone for $20 a month. The written guaranty said if we returned the phone in 15 days or less, we could get s refund. So, we retuned the phone in 10 days as it wasn't needed. The phone was in its origami sealed box and not activated. The store said they could only accept the phone and we needed to deal with the "real" Verizon company for a refund. After speaking with three different people, we ended up paying $83 to cancel a phone that was never set up. The man who handled our return at the store told us the gal who originally handled our transaction had not been honest about the charges. Great place. I downloaded a new Verizon App Call Filter to my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. After installing I started losing incoming calls. When my screen went dark it was like the phone went to sleep. It took a while but Javier at the store tried several things. Finally he did a Factory reset. That fixed the problem. The Verizon store in the River Shopping center was of no help. Beware, this is not a Verizon Store. This is a 3rd party vendor called Victra and their employees are there just to part you from your money. I went in on 12/12/2023 to add a new line for my MIL. They added Mobile Protect for $60 and Home Device protection for $22 to my account without my knowledge or consent. At the point of sale Rob told me to click 'consent' as several screens popped up. I assumed they were privacy notices and other disclosures no one reads. He did NOT tell me he was adding expensive services I didn't want to my bill. I then had to track down the service providers to get the services cancelled. When I got my Verizon bill $143 was added. I then had to call Verizon to get the charges off my bill. The Verizon rep said "wow, they made a lot of changes to your account". I have now spent several hours undoing they damage they did to my Verizon account. Avoid this store! read more

When I walked into The Verizon Retailer in the Desert Crossing shopping center I was met by a slew of friendly people, especially Javier the store manager. Not pleased at all with the service at this location. The one guy working here was totally tied up discussing a phone service with a very confused young woman. After waiting 25 minutes we left. The clerk greeted us when we came in but it would have been thoughtful after maybe 10-15 minutes- to leave the indecisive lady for a moment to help us -we needed to purchase a SIM card.
