I wish I didn't even have to leave one star. First, I called the number provided on Yelp. It took me 6 minutes, a robot, and a conversation with someone in India to actually talk to a person in the store itself. Here's the last 30 days: I was contacted by a representative of Verizon (Greg) to try their 5G Wifi service for $25 per month. They told me that I was pre approved based on my years with Verizon and my address. It would be $25/mo but the first 30 days would be free. I called a day later to confirm with Greg, and that's when he told me I actually don't qualify based on my address, even though my address is what qualified me to receive a call from him to begin with. Five days later, I get another call from Greg that the system refreshed and I now qualify again, so we go ahead with the deal. I retained my previous Wifi just in case, because I was trying the 30 day free trial. Within three weeks, the service was spotty and I saw it would not work for me. I have an entire week left of my 30 day trial, and I try to text Greg from the number he provided and he never returned my text. I went in store to return the internet set. It was cancelled, and that's when I saw I was charged $50 extra in my monthly bill. I asked AJ, the manager, what that was about, and he said he was unable to help with any kind of billing issue. You're a manager...what? So now I'm currently in the store on a long hold with the billing Dept waiting for a resolution. They're trying to make this charge and surcharge make sense as they cancel, but it's a stretch. IN STORE calling to resolve this, where on the phone they tell me that they don't have confirmation in their system that they have the internet set. IM IN THE STORE WITH THE BOX. AJ confirms that they have the box and gives the confirmation number, but they said it still doesn't show in their system so I will have to wait to see it show, and I will not be refunded but I will be CREDITED to my account. I did not ask for a credit, I want it refunded to my original method of payment. I have to wait for the WAREHOUSE to receive the internet set, then after 24 hours I should receive my refund. Then AJ says we should call billing Dept....that's who we were just on the phone with. He has also had one headphone in this entire time. Management not being aware make this even more frustrating. Verizon does not treat its customers well, overcharges, double charges, and adds surcharges. They make it impossible to get in contact with a customer service representative on the phone, and they know since they have the best coverage, you won't leave. Really bad customer care. If you need to have the cell coverage, sure go with them, but absolutely do not get any other service. read more

I signed up with Verizon to get a free iphone, and took on their Fios home internet services at the same time to balance the cost difference with my previous internet carrier. This is the 5th day I've had the home internet service, and so far we've had 2 outages. The current outage is for 8 hours. This is simply not acceptable. If my phone and internet were both with Verizon, I would be left without any communication capability for a full day. With an elder in the house, I can't afford to pay for a service which doesn't allow me to communicate with the outside world with this regularity and for these long periods of time. Comcast was consistent; I think in the last 3 years of service, we've never had an outage. I may have to cancel this service. read more

I bought a new phone yesterday at the Newburgh Verizon store on rt 300. The sales rep/tech who assisted me, Greg, was unfriendly, uncommunicative/spoke in monosyllables, and not considerate of my comfort. In fact he made me feel quite uncomfortable. He sent me home without my new phone activated. I had to return to the store, which was quite inconvenient, and was helped by Laura. Please don't even think about going here for a new phone and accessories...the owner/ manager sold us unnecessary and over priced accessories which when attempting to return for credit..refused , though it states on the receipt that it may be returned within a given period...after calling corporate..I was given full credit and told them of my unprofessional experience..he was also rude and a friend of his verbally abused me...go to the bigger Verizon store down the road...who will be more courteous and helpful read more

They tried to help. But my phone was beyond help. Verizon sent me to ubreakifix. They also said the phone was unfixable. Report sent to Verizon. When I called to see if my replacement was in progress... short answer... after 35 minutes of stupid questions... is no. So I did what they asked me to do and it basically went no where.... and after another half hour of talking to a "tech" person the phone is now on the way. My phone was not working early in the morning, the screen was frozen on the power off/ emergency sos screen for a while. It then changed to my home screen but my touch screen was not responding or working. Since I was already heading out and this Verizon was located close to me, I decided to go there to get some simple input as to what I could do since I could not search anything up myself. I will say they were very fast with their service but very pushy. I did not catch the worker's name who helped but the second I walked in, he came up to me and barely let me speak and walked me straight to his table. He was nice at first but again did not let me explain that I would just like some input. He kept speaking over me and took over the phone when I just wanted to show him what was going on. To begin with, my phone would not let me reboot, restart, or etc for hours. Of course when we get there it had decided to work for the worker. I was very grateful for it to have been fixed and thanked him greatly. But he did not say he was welcome at all, immediately he had said, "just so you're aware, I do work off of commission. So now I am at the bottom of the list..." Basically to me, that was implying that this was a waste of his time but yet again, I do not appreciate how he was so quick to try and make sales off of me rather than simply waiting and listening for 3 more seconds for me to explain that all I'd like was input. Stay a far away from this place! No matter how desperate you are I suggest calling for help before considering this store, seriously! I suggest visiting the Fishkill store which is the next closest full Verizon store in the area. This place is absolutely dreadful. I was in here to add a phone to my account and it took me 3 long hours as I watched employees walking passed me with tablets in hand assisting nobody for the first 2 hours I waited. Sure the store was busy but when I arrived I was SECOND in line and waiting 2 hours before I got called so I don't want to even imagine how long customer 7 in line was going to wait. I was offered all kind of accessories with my purchase and only opted for basic screen protectors to which I said, "I want a basic screen protector" and what I got was some awful glare protector that I realized was incorrect after I applied it at home. Long story short they would not exchange the poorly designed protectors they sold me and didn't seem to care. When this store first opened, years ago, it was a pleasant visit but now it's absolutely dreadful and I'll never step foot in it ever again. You've been warned! I came here because they were one of a few local stores who seemed to have the phone I was looking for in stock. That was the only good thing about this store. Otherwise, it is dreadfully mismanaged. When you walk in, even during non-peak hours, customers are sitting around looking painfully bored. Good luck getting someone to help you when you walk in - but while you're waiting, they'll approach you and try to sell you Verizon FiOS. After over one hour of waiting, I found out that they couldn't help me anyway. I wanted to upgrade my plan, which the main customer service number told me I could do... but they told me I could not. The store is mismanaged, the amount of customers waiting around was increasing during off-peak times as service counters were closing down, the store is severely understaffed, and most of the staff who were there (not many) seemed unmotivated, uninterested, and lazy. There is one salesperson , Katlyn, who helped my husband and I with the purchase of the new IPhone X and transferring all our information from one phone to another. So today when I went into Verizon I was having trouble with their webpage trying to upload my last bill due to me switching carriers. When I came into the store I was greeted promptly and was assisted right away and well. Joseph Sisili was SO Helpful I couldn't believe it. all I had to do was take pictures and email them to him. It's such a rare occasion in today's free market and social media frenzy that I encounter customer service so lacking that it warrants a public posting, if for no other reason than to make another conscious of the risk involved when dealing with this area business. Like most today, my mobile phone service charge out significantly higher than a monthly automobile cost and rival even that of a mortgage.  That said, the on-site corporate employees as well as Verizon's on call center staff went so far as to advise me that I should be honored to jump through third party vendors hoops for each and every accessory purchased when I first signed on to their program, earlier this year. Yes, that's right, honored! Upon my initial store visit, post purchase, the Verizon rep: "I've got great news for you, you can reach out to each of the 3 separate vendors all on your own. You don't have to deal with anything here." My response: " You mean like when I purchase a MacIntosh PC from Best Buy and I go through Best Buy that collected my money versus Apple, to whom I didn't meet a representative", at which time I was ever so gently ushered to the door. Okay, Round 2, contact the first of my 3 outside vendors. "Ma'am we can verify this product through the serial number, this portion however must be verified through Verizon". To which I made mention as to what specific info is needed, as Verizon already directly me to you". Fast forward to attempting to contact the Verizon Store Mgmt Team in Newburgh, NY. On my third call through the store line and consistently be re-routed to a Verizon's Call Center, I'm instructed to inappropriately choose the Sales Option because in store staff only respond to that selection. Now where are we at Round 3? I speak to a store rep and share the story yet again. I'd say I'm having fun, truth be told though, my level of frustration has superseded normal tolerances by awe inspiring extremes. Rather than abuse the messenger, I ask for management intervention to no avail. Round 4 of 5. I stop into the corporately owned location in The Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown to acquire the contact information for Store Mgmt from Middletown. After my account info was pulled the young lady I spoke with, who advised she was part of the Orange Lake Mgmt Team disappeared into the back room. Upon return, she had what seemed to be new notes outlining all of my phone calls and store visits and "Oh as a matter of fact you did already speak to Kim, who is a Newburgh Store Mgr" Okay, now I'm well beyond my scope! It's all I can do not to cause a scene in a very busy store. I quietly advise that she has just made a bad customer experience even worse for providing no management contact info (other than # 611) and the grand total price of $24.00+tax . To give her credit I have never, in all my working years, experienced a Store Mgr that has shown so little emotion. Whether it be apologetic, angry, thrilled, horrified or appalled. She finally offered me a 25% discount and no apology, that was the best she could do. Afterall, as a Verizon employee she pays too! Well Verizon, while your NY network is superior and why I switched mobile vendors and pay significantly higher monthly premiums, I will be leaving.  Currently, I'm planning on seeing my contract through and terminating in Jan 2018. For the multiple hassles, treating me like my business with you is provided as a favor to me and $25.00+ tax, you've lost a customer. That initial purchase of over $1000.00 and my $450.00/month will go elsewhere.  Congratulations, with so little effort and national and local marketing campaigns, left untouched, you lose! That and can you possibly fathom how angry I have to be to take time to compose and post a review this detailed? Just think, now that it's created I'm able to utilize social media on an even larger scale with less aggravation. read more

This evening's experience at the Newburgh Verizon was a rather pleasant one. My husband and I were greeting at the front by a very nice woman, and were immediately assisted in upgrading my phone. Brian was rather helpful as he honestly answered our questions and did not try to push us into buying a certain phone. He was also very patient when I had a difficult time deciding on which phone to purchase. He tried multiple times to get my old phone to charge so he could transfer my contacts, and when it refused to charge, took his time going over what my options were. I think like any other retailer, there are some inconsistencies in Verizon's customer service, and much of your experience in purchasing, upgrading, or fixing your phone depends on the person who winds up assisting you. While I have definitely had my fair share of frustrating experiences at Verizon stores, I would be happy to go back to the Newburgh one as long as the customer service was like tonight's experience. read more

Grossest experience at a Verizon store ever!!! The store itself is nice and they had what I was looking for (just a simple case for my iPhone) but I don't care for how they treat their customers like bumbling idiots. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because they had the product I wanted. I like how they had someone greet me when I arrived, however, after that I felt like I had one of their employees half way up my butt chauffeuring me around the store, as though I don't know how to shop and need someone to show me the display case and offer a freaking narrative on every single phone case. So once I picked out the case I wanted they were quick about pulling up my account on their tablet and then running my credit card so I could pay for the phone case and be on my way. That's where I should have just left... But I was already aggravated and just wanted my personal "chauffeur" to leave me alone so when he said he could put the case on my phone I just relented, said sure, and wanted it done quick... Here's the gross part. He put the case on and wiped off the screen using his freaking sweat, grease, and dandruff stained shirt then handed me the phone... I didn't even know how to respond to that... I just took the phone and left without saying anything, I was so taken aback that he actually just did that! Afterwards, once reality set in I furiously cleaned my phone and vowed to never let Verizon do that to me again... Unfortunately, Verizon has the best cellular service so I'm stuck with them as a provider, but I will be doing as little business in their stores as possible. read more

Tom Howe, manager on duty was not only completely unhelpful but outright rude - when I had a question about why one of the 3 phones I was looking to upgrade had to be bought out, he outright called me a liar, because I couldn't remember if the sales person from over a year a go was male or female. He told me that my situation was due to Apple, not Verizon and it was "my problem, not his". Terrible customer service from a store that we've been using for over 16 years! read more

Employee not very knowledgeable, gave me wrong information and the manager who was listening in did not correct him.

Went there because my charger was broken. Gave it to a man named Joe who said he had to take it to the back to test it and he would be right back. He took about 15 minutes to test it and when he came back gave me a new charger and I left. When I got into my car and unlocked my phone my picture album was open and scrolled down all the way to the bottom which only meant one thing, he looked through my pictures. Why? I don't know know but to me it was very creepy and we called and confronted him about it and he said he might have done it by accident. Last time I checked you don't scroll all the way through every picture by accident. I will definitely never go back there. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. Spent almost an hour on the phone with "tech support" - they could not help me (after being disconnected twice) so they sent me to the store. Walked in the store and was told there was at LEAST a one hour wait - 10 people ahead of me during non peak hours. Ridiculous! Verizon is the worst for customer service and BTW my phone still is not fixed. Two cans and a string would work better - and would give you a lot less aggravation ! ! read more

I have dealt with this store for about 4 years now and I have always been very satisfied with the service and knowable staff. Just recently I had an issue with my phone it would not turn on, Cory(Verizon staff) tried everything to help me. I did ultimatlely have to get a new phone but I trust this staff at this location to always be helpful. read more

I went to this store to get a new phone after waiting 1 hour I was told I did not have the proper ID. This was not the case. The Manager was probably one of the worst employees I have ever encountered anywhere. After calling Verizion to complain they are sending me a new phone and also confirmed that the store manager was wrong. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more
