It was like a ghost town. I went to return a purchase I made through Amazon and did a little browsing. John at the cash register was very helpful and friendly. A few good sales made the trip worthwhile. I encourage people to shop in person locally as much as they can, even at the big name stores because local people need the work also. read more

I was in desperate need of some printing and Staples has printers you can send documents to from your email and print out which is exactly what I needed. While I was there I was going to pick up some office supplies but their prices are outrageous! $3 for a spiral notebook, $2 for a ball point pen, even a simple folder was expensive. I really don't know how they remain in business with the prices they charge. The employees sit by the register and ask you if you need help as you're exiting the store - not very proactive. Thankfully I was savvy enough to figure out the directions for printing from the directions given on the printer. Next time I'll just go to the library. It's cheaper @ the staff is much more helpful. read more

This place is not that busy and yet--these folks do the absolute bare minimum. I returned an Amazon package, no problem--but that's all they're good for. I noticed that they ship from there so I also dropped off 2 USPS packages--prepaid, priority mail. It's been over 24 hours and the packages are still not tracking. If you need something sent urgently don't use Staples. They clearly don't make sure your packages get scanned. Not good. read more

Worst experience. Arrived with 20 minutes and asked for help and was directed to read the instructions myself. ok. Asked for a bathroom and was told it was out of order. Tried to send a fax which I was charged for and the machine froze because it was jammed. The transaction was charged so I asked for help. I was told it's 6:03 we are closed. If someone had helped when I first asked this would not be an issue but the staff was very concerned with leaving, hence no bathroom and no help. I would not come here again, ever. I've never felt like such a bother or felt lied to about the bathroom by a legitimate business. The worker said you won't get charged since it didn't go through. I guess I'll have to see. read more

You get what you expect from this location. I love the self serve printing, copy and fax options. Employees are there for help if you need them but they won't offer help. That's A-okay with me. Usually when I go in, I know what I need. I grab it and leave. The store is organized the same way every other staples is. The store is clean and well stocked. Parking is easy. read more

I'm disappointed the Staples across from Marist closed and moved into the now-defunct Office Depot space behind Barnes & Noble, if only because it's less convenient for me. This new location is spacious and very well organized, though it still feels smaller in some ways. Perhaps that's because they have a smaller amount of office furniture more scattered about in-between aisles. A few items were in less-obvious places than the old location. Even though this is a new store location, they still don't have (as of this review) support for chip-cards at checkout. The staff - some of whom I remember from the previous location - continue to be friendly and helpful. read more

Phenomenal establishment! My favorite associate is Tom! He is so helpful to me and my family every time I go there. When we were buying a gamers chair he was so very helpful and showed no less than top notch customer service. He also helped us when we were buying school supplies for my little brother! It was the saddest day of the year for any college student (a.k.a. the day we needed to buy ink for our printer which always ends up being very expensive). When we walked into this Staples, we were instantly greeted by a very friendly man named Gerald. He was awesome. Some of the best customer service I have ever personally experienced, and he helped us find the correct ink for our printer. Keep doing you man, you made the worst day of the year the best day ever. my issue with this store is thier prices. just out of whack with reality. a small mousepad costs 11 dollars here!! don't they cost like,.. 4 bucks? tops? im not a nobel laureate, but when I see THIS happen on ONE item, I think it's safe to assume that they marked everything else in the store up using the same ungodly percentage rate %. by my reckoning, everything in the entire store is around 100-to-110% more expensive than anywhere else that i've been to. Somebody give Melissa a raise, she does great work. The other staff at the print center, as well. As an author who demands the best, top quality work, and puts it out there in return, im pleased with this staples, been in here several times and have been treated well. I ussually run into compatibility issues, particularly with software, which in this highly computerized world, must be standard for most. Its nice to see staff, that i know have very full and complex lives, coming in here to deal with the major traffic of poughkeepsie people, everyone demanding some document be printed (watched a young mom print a highly artistic flyer for a 3 year olds birthday party) and some of these people make my dificult career look like nothing, which is sad to see.. all of the people working so hard get treated like second class citizens, and other people who have perfect lives jumping to the front of the lines. Organization is obviously key in life, and as a print center, the people here are doing a good job of handling all of these tasks, willing to make mistakes right. Will be returning here while im in the area. read more

My first time in Staples. I had to print out an attachment, fill it out and email it back to sender. I was dreading the whole process of being left on my own to figure out another computer, e-mail, printing, scanning, etc. Luckily, Myasia, a girl with a big smile and great personality came right up and helped me though the whole process.
