The postal boxes are clean.. there's a table to do your mail business and work. Trash bins. Pens. Scissors. Pamphlets and all the mailers you can shake a roll of stamps at. Double doors make this location a quick alternative to other slow poke places where the line is out the door. Another bonus is that this USPS building is at the crossroads of major thru highways and roads. That way managing things you may have forgotten to mail or need to go home to fetch and send out, is a half-way back trip only. Never had an issue. FDR took an interest in the construction of this building, and his name is on the cornerstone. It has been listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places since 1988. I has been expanded and renovated several times. It also functions quite well as a post office. The employees are incredibly helpful and always cheerful. There can, unfortunately, be a bit of a wait at busy times, because their window can only handle 2 customers at a time. But they have handled this nicely at times, such as offering expanded hours in December. I don't have a P.O. Box here, but my assumption is that they are also limited here in the number of boxes available, and there may be a wait requesting one. This post office requires you to make an appointment for a passport application or renewal.

After discussing our needs we went back to our office sent back a rough idea of what we wanted and Chris eventually fine tuned our details and we approved them for production. Id say sometime around mid Feb. We were told a couple of weeks max to receive everything. Well two weeks, three weeks passed with excuse after excuse. Broken equipment, new software learning curve, illness, on and on. At some point something was produced but wrong. Truck signs weren't as per our design, not trimmed as discussed, missed red stars on the white truck signs, etc. Apologies galore but poor results. Yard signs were the only product made as discussed. So we were told that because of the problems your shop was experiencing with equip and software the project was being farmed out to your Danbury associates and we would have them back in about a week at a drastically reduced cost. Well that was 6 weeks ago. I called and asked Chris last week and wanted an update and answers. He was going to look into it and get back to me. That was 6 days ago. I don't know how you stay in business if this is standard operation. Horrible service, poor product, disingenuous and evasive. I'd appreciate some answers on when we can expect our properly produced truck signs. I'll look for a call in about a month. Sad.

Now granted, that dry cleaners is eco-friendly and what they were charging was $40 a panel. $320 in the end? For curtains? No. While Scanlon's on Ulster Ave in Kingston, NY isn't organic, they came in at $15 a panel. Done deal. Scanlon's is what you would want from a cleaners: tidy, offers same day dry cleaning, ironing+laundry services and has a detail website highlighting other services such a leather and Ugg cleaning, wedding dress services, etc. Do ask about repair+mending services- if any. Hubs chose his shirts to be hung instead of boxed when he dropped off them off. Unlike other cleaners where you pay when you pick up your clothes, here, you have to pay(?) upfront when you drop off your clothes. Regardless, Chris and his team actually gave my linen curtains the care they deserve and hubs' shirts had a nice crisp to them. The turnaround time was great between dropping my curtains off and picking them up. Hassle-free, prompt and great pricing.
