I'm talking about store 4282 on Rt 9 (South Rd) in Poughkeepsie, NY. Owned by Shaojun Yao according to their card. I had the most astounding experience in there today. I ordered a script of mine to be printed and collated, meaning the three holes on the left side of each page so I could put it in a binder, via email after speaking to them on the phone this morning. I got to the store and was helped by Iyanna, who was awesome, but I'll get to that in a second. When I arrived, the print wasn't done, but I was WAY early, so no problem, and Iyanna said she would do it while I waited, so all cool. She printed the script, 146 pages, and there were no holes. She realized she forgot, so she went back to speak to her manager, and after a LONG wait, she came back sheepishly and handed me a manual hole puncher and said, "my manager said to give you this". Huh? Is this even serious? I asked her to just re print it. My instructions where clear in my email, and they just didn't do what they were supposed to do, so Iyanna went back to her manager again, and after an even longer wait, she said, "sorry, she said to just use the hole puncher". I asked to speak to "the manager" in person, and she went back again.... came back and said, "she said she's busy". lol. I thought, "Is this manager on crack?" lol. Anyway, Iyanna was so cool, so helpful, and the fact that this "manager" put a young kid like this in this position to deal with a customer is a complete joke and horrible customer support. Iyanna should get a raise, and actually, she should be made manager, and the "manager" who was there should be working somewhere she can build on her common sense, empathy and kindness, because as bad as this was for business, it was worse to see her treat her own employee this way by basically throwing Iyanna under that bus like that. Disgusting. Anyway, horrible experience, embarrassing all around, I paid, took my script, and left shaking my head. Dear manager... get a soul. Treat the people who are out front representing your business with some respect. Show some kindness. Let them feel valued and stand with some dignity. You should be ashamed of yourself, "manager". Was on the road and desperately needed to get some documents printed. Came to this location twice. Besides only having two employees here and having customers out the door on the two separate occasions I went here, they're lack of attentiveness and inability to plan for busy times is just bad business practice. On the first visit I sent my documents to their printer five times. One came out and it took ages to print. After waiting 45 minutes I left because I actually did have other things in life to attend to. I returned two days later and attempted to print out the remaining four documents once more. This time I only sent them three times and wasted 30 minutes before I gave up and went down the street to Staples. Their WiFi worked just fine. read more

For a simple and straightforward task, such as my amazon return today, doing business here was nice and easy. I got a friendly greeting, appropriate questions asked, and a "You're all set, thank you!" at the end. Space can be a little cramped inside. If there's a line of 3 or more people waiting to get to the counter, hopefully they know to wrap around on the inside, otherwise you're stuck in the doorway or maybe even outside, not nice in colder weather. read more

Was trying to ship a package to my sister in the UK. Online shipping quotes said the cost would be around $55 to ship the package. The paperwork for the label was not going through online so I asked my wife to stop by this location and just pay to ship it there. The employee at the desk treated her like absolute dirt. Super rude. quoted her at over $270 for the shipping. When she mentioned that we had gotten a quote for way less online he sneered at her and told her that was the price take it or leave it. She brought the package home and I ironed out the online quote and shipped it for $51. They acted like we were the ones being stupid. Getting a notary done on the weekends is a nightmare anywhere else, but The UPS Store in Poughkeepsie used to be my go-to. Now it seems like a fight. Any time I go on a Sunday or Saturday, the employees tell me there is no notary on the weekends after I have stood in line for 15 minutes! My wife and I had some packages that needed to be sent out very quickly. Due to my work schedule, we were not able to get there until exactly 630 when they closed. I looked them in the eye and pretty much said please without words. A very friendly worker opened the door for us. And our packages were sent within the next few minutes. Not following any social distancing here at all. I was so uncomfortable I had to leave. After I left I called the store to tell them about my experience. The guy was very rude and argued with me. I told him I was just trying to tell him what I observed. He was so and nasty I called corporate and told them about my experience. Two minutes after I hung up with corporate headquarters my phone rings and it's this guy calling me a liar and harassing me on my cell phone. Talk about arrogant! I have used this UPS Store for several years, before and after their move from one end of the shopping plaza to the other, and through a new owner. I have always had good service and friendly encounters here. I use them for a mailbox and the occasional package shipping and copying service. They call me by name and are always quick and efficient. I do try to go in on their less busy hours and avoid the lines at holiday shipping times since it is a small facility. As far as a mail forwarding service they have always been helpful and gone above and beyond in accommodating my requests. read more

The UPS store in Wappingers has always been a really pleasant place for me to go to. Just showed up a few weeks back and I don't see any of the regular younger gentleman that we're working there. I was always in and out -I avoided the usps post office like the plague, and these guys were the best. I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews which is why I'm leaving a positive one. Not only that I was just looking up the number to make sure that they were still open, The guys were always nice to me they were fast they took care of everything. I didn't want some fake fuzzy person yessing" me to death. I just wanted to show up and know that my package was going to be sent for a reasonable price and they were always really great and nice to me. I am extremely disappointed with this UPS store. I placed an order on 3/5 for something I planned to give as a gift, so getting the package on time was important to me. I was notified on 3/8 that the item was ready for pickup at this UPS store. I went to get it on 3/9 and 3/10 and was told it was not there. When I went back on 3/11, I was told the package was signed for by somebody in Brooklyn! I went back again on 3/13, and was told that the store is not a UPS access point and my package was never there. I was finally given a customer service number to call, and learned that the package arrived at the store on 3/8, was signed for by Miranda, and returned to the sender the next day. WHY?! I still do not have my package, could not give my gift, and was lied to multiple times throughout the whole ordeal. I have been going to this store for years, but never again. read more

I had a completely opposite experience. The gentleman who waited on me was extremely friendly and very helpful. It was busy and he was able to multi-task and assist everyone in the store. He knew the regulars and they him and were quite friendly and talkative to one another. All and all it was a really positive experience. UPS and UPS drivers are very shady!!! I had a IPhone 11 pro max phone delivered to the wrong address, which was dropped off without a signature and required a signature. The driver left it on the persons door step outside where anyone can take it. When I called UPS they told me there was nothing they can do for me and that I had to call sprint and have them take care of it. For all I know the driver could have token the phone himself and said he dropped it off being that there was no signature. Just very shady overall do not trust UPS!!! I'm calling The Better Business Bureau so they can investigate this matter. The driver did not follow proper procedures in this matter and UPS customer care did not as well. read more

I can see why others would have given it a lower rating. I had to return a book to Amazon, so I had my preprinted return label. I just needed to get a box or big envelope to ship it back in. One of the gentlemen said he could make an envelope work, charged me a few dollars and said he'd get it packaged, affix the label and get it sent out. This is a pretty simple task, but I was in and out in maybe 2 minutes. The guy wasn't warm and fuzzy, but I'd rather get in and out than anything else. read more

If I were able to give a business less than 1 star, I certainly would do so, in this case. My experience with this UPS store is one of the worst cases of customer service I have encountered in years. The location advertises that they perform notary services and I needed to have a passport document notarized. I called this location at 11:05am to make sure that the notary public was there and to find out if I needed to make an appointment. I was informed that the notary was in and that they would be there until 1pm. I asked a second time, in order to make sure that the person would be there until 1. I was reassured that they would be. I took my lunch break early and headed to the store. I arrived at 11:40am and I asked for the notary. The gentleman behind the counter said, "He just stepped out and will be back in 15 minutes." I was pretty annoyed because this now meant that I would not have time to grab any food during lunch. Unfortunately, I had to submit these documents today and could not leave. After about 20 minutes, I asked the gentlemen behind the counter if he had any way to get in touch with the notary and he said "No, he left his cell phone here." I said "I just don't understand how someone who is only working for another hour and is the only notary at location would decide to take a 30 minute break." The gentleman replied, "He's the owner." My thought was that that made it even worse. At 12:08pm, the owner finally decided to come back. He strolled into the store and his employee pulled him aside. I could hear the employee filling the owner in on the situation and pointing me out. At this point, I was expecting the owner to come over and offer some sort of apology for having me wait 30 minutes, when I was clearly told he would be there until 1pm. But no, that was clearly beneath him. Not only didn't he apologize, but didn't even acknowledge that I was in the store. He took his time getting his stamp and notebook together and finally came to the counter. He then uttered his first words to me, "You got photo ID?" I handed him my papers and my driver's license and he filled out his portion and stamped the document. Then, the kicker.... he asks me for $2 for his fee. I almost fell over. I paid and walked out. I could not believe that a business owner would treat a customer in such a fashion. I would urge anyone looking for notary services in the area to go to the County Clerk's office. I also would not patronize a business with a business philosophy like this. Stay away!! read more
