He let me know I wasn't receiving my auto payment discount which I had been clueless about for months. I live in La Crescenta and went to this store in Montrose. Just like the last yelp review I too received a free Samsung Tablet with free line. I was talking to the manager who I think is Leo, and was adamant on making sure this was 100% free and he said yes. Well it's all a lie and I am paying off a $300 Tablet which I don't use and paying for a line. I have called Verizon Customer Service Corporate 3 times and they can't do anything cause this store is independently owned and operate which is also Misleading. I even went back into the store to return but couldn't cause I threw my box away. Horrible store. I have been a verizon customer for 10 years. The guy there was unhelpful, a dick, condescending and didnt answer my questions. I asked about getting an iphone 7 for my mom and he said it was discontinued and tried selling me a promotion for the XR and skimmed over additional fees that I had to question or else it would not have been caught. Didnt mention til near the end that it is $150 per phone for taxes and activation. Oh, and that the iphone XR is not even on display yet it is a big "promotion". Grabbed an uncharged XR from the back. Also, at the end, found out the iphone 7 is not discontinued, he can order it and it will take like a week. Which is why I went into the store. He was unhelpful and didnt seem to care. It was very frustrating from start to finish. Didnt buy from there and I wont. read more

Steer clear of this non-Verizon owned retailer. My wife took my teenage son to this nearby store when his iPhone (less than 2 years old) suddenly stopped working and wouldn't power on. They took a quick look at it and informed her is was irreparable but she could get two new iPhones for the price of one. Figuring he needed a new phone, she agreed, was charged $156 to 'buy out the remaining contract value', and then told they would both need new numbers to qualify for the free phone promotion. She didn't want to do that and asked to cancel the transaction so she could think about what to do about the broken phone. They told her the buyout fee ($156) was non-refundable, and got pretty curt with her for not completing the transaction. When she came home and told me what happened, we went straight back to insist on the refund. The manager and the clerk insisted the buyout fee was non-refundable, that they told my wife this and she agreed (she doesn't remember them telling her, signed nothing, and clicked nothing). I questioned them about the 'promo' where they offered a free phone but only if you gave up your number. The clerk explained they did that to get around the Verizon requirement that the free phone promo was for new customers only. Clearly they were trying to scam Verizon by not following the rules of the promo, and scam the customer by not telling them about having to give up their existing number until they've already paid the (supposedly) non-refundable buyout fee. The 'manager' even had the wherewithal to tell me I could call Verizon and spend 6 hours on the phone and I still wouldn't get a refund. It took 40 minutes on the phone with Verizon, and I did get the refund. And an apology. Most of that time was spent with the Verizon rep taking detailed notes (and names) of exactly what had happened. These two were systematically breaking the rules and being dishonest with a customer to undoubtedly maximize whatever revenue they get paid on new lines, etc. I should add that the phone simply needed to be restored. I followed the directions on Apple support, and within 20 minutes was able to restore the phone and thanks to the recent back-up, all apps and data on the phone were still there. The people at this store were at best unqualified to judge whether or not the phone could be repaired, and at worst taking advantage of my teenage son and my wife by deliberately misleading them into believing he needed a new phone. I wish we had looked at the Yelp reviews before entering the store, as there are many, many similar or nearly identical stories. In the future we will only go to Verizon-owned stores. I'm sure there are decent 'authorized retailers' out there, but stores like this give all of them a bad name. read more

Beware, very dishonest employees. We purchased two new iPhones. They gave us a "free" tablet and were told that another number would appear on the bill but we would not be charged. When we discovered that we were being charged monthly, we brought to their attention. They said in order to remove that phone number for a device we didn't ask for and don't even use, we were told they would charge us $200 to cancel that device. We asked for the manager and were told that he cannot be reached. Then we called Verizon and were told that this store is an indirect store. The store must rectify the situation. If not, Verizon would charge us $200 to remove the phone number per the 24 month contract agreement. We are waiting to hear if the manager returns our call. * Angry and dismayed, I finally managed to track Verizon's district office, located in Van Nuys CA (tel. 818-994 4444 x1009). After Emailing this document to Raj.M@wirelessplus.com, retail director, I received a call from ASHLEY, who identified herself as the District Manager. I told her about the fiasco at the Montrose store and the rude people there. Lo and behold, an hour later (Dec 14 around 16:00) the store called me and said "we can now take return of your Device". I verified that I can come the next day at 10:00- and they said yes "anyone at the store can handle the return, no need for the store manager to be present". * On Dec 15 at 10:30 I walked into the store and handed the Device to the only sales person present. I said that Ashley the district manager had said ok, and that someone from the store had called me the day before. "NO" he said- "I will not take it back, it can be done only by the manager". I told him to call Ashley but he refused. * But then when he saw that I am going to blow my top, he called someone(?), and magic- he now tells me that he will take the FREE Device back, without restocking fee and remove the charges. read more

These people seem to make a habit of giving you a 'free' device that won't add anything to your bill because the amount is offset by the amount they say your bill is being lowered. Well my 'free' device has a balance due of over $300 and the monthly can't be stopped unless I pay off the device. Con artists! This is my go-to Verizon store. Besides the fact that it is super close to my home, the customer service is great and I've never had a problem with anything nor anyone at this location. Three days ago I purchased a 32GB iPhone 7 plus, and I went back in today to exchange it for a 128GB iPhone. Wes helped me out both times And he made the process very simple and easy for me. UPDATE 9/11/16: Went it to get a refund/return everything. They were supposed to credit me the $125 I paid, instead, they charged my card again. My receipt says refund and yet my credit card was charged the $125. So now I've spend $250 and don't even have a phone or anything to show for it. Seriously - stay away from this place!! This is an authorized Verizon retailer, not an actual Verizon. Be careful! All of the special deals and offers they sell you aren't real. I was promised a "free" hot spot with my smartphone - not only was it supposed to be free, but also it was supposed to save me money on my monthly bill. Not true. It cost $40 in surcharges, $10 extra per month and $9 in insurance. The store told me the insurance was mandatory. Not true either. I was also told I got a "special deal" on my basic smartphone - normally it was $7 a month but the sales guy got me a deal so it was only $5 a month. Not true. The phone is $5 per month, that's just the standard price. The store also charged me $300 for a Loyalty Program (they said it was activation fees and start up costs) - I asked Verizon customer service about this and they told me no such plan exists and I paid for nothing. They couldn't help me because it wasn't even a Verizon charge that showed up on my account. Verizon customer service advised me to go back to the store and return everything. The store charged me re-stocking fees - $35 for the phone and $70 for the hotspot. I called Verizon after and they told me that hotspots are only $35 to restock. Ugh. What a scam! Stay far away from this place!!! read more

Update from 2/11/2015. Last time I give a yelp review while still in the store. My transactions were not done yet and I WAS very pleased with Mike until two hours in the store visit until....I got two gizmos and I upgraded my iPhone. Mike told me I would get two $25 gift cards (one for each gizmo) and a $100 rebate for updating my phone. Such trash talk. After being here for two hours they ended up giving me the wrong color! I told him, hey that is not gold! He was very apologetic. He explained that they don't have gold! Why in the world would you activate a phone that wasn't what a customer asked for? He said to come back on Friday and he would fix it. ( still not upset at this point. People make mistakes) He calls me first thing on Friday and says they have to order it. Should be here by Sunday. Sunday comes and goes. After the holiday weekend I come in today, Tuesday and it turns out he NEVER ordered it!!!! Also turns out he got let go. Poor guy, but I understand why. He talked a talk but couldn't deliver. Today they would not give my rebate. Not my fault the guy activated the wrong color!! Why penalize the customer for a mistake that they had no control over? So disgusted. Leaving today with my old phone. (Update after 3 hours) A sales rep called my husband and said he could get us the rebate. That shouldn't of taken so long. read more

We bought a Bluetooth device that failed within the first couple of weeks. Noisehush honored the warranty, but the replacement wouldn't even sync with the phone. We tried to return it to this store and were told that we were outside of the 14 day return policy. I do NOT recommend buying anything at this store. BTW, Verizon's policy is to take the return. I highly recommend that you only purchase at a corporate store. read more

Worst experience ever and I am a 10 year Verizon user. The "franchise" store has phantom charges called "Loyalty Plus+ Program" that the employees said were required to get the phone. It is a $79.99 charge per phone that they were unable to explain but apparently offers discounts and priority service and is non-refundable. This is a STORE FEE fee not a Verizon fee. This is the cost of being their customer. They didn't disclose the charge until after my credit card was charged. Also, they signed me up for a plan we did not discuss. They provided almost no paperwork for the transaction and that wasn't until the credit card was charged. Finally, they signed me up for online billing when I asked for paper billing. Gross misrepresentation of product, costs, and service. I have filed a formal complaint with Verizon. read more

Updated** I first visited this place about two years ago when the iPhone 6 came out and I still have the receipt and the gentleman there Helbert was amazing helped me get my iPhone all set up did a full data transfer and was very funny and not once did I ever feel I was shopping for a phone. It saddened me that I did not see him there when I went in yesterday as the staff had told me he left for better opportunities but I still bought my new iPhone 7 there and the staff still did very well.
