This place is a total scam. They charge excessive service and bundle fees for upgrades that are not required, and they don't even provide itemized invoices. We ordered 3 upgrades and I was charged $400 taxes and extra $250 for a service that Verizon corporate offices don't even charge for. When I tried to cancel, they threatened to charge me a $ 50 restocking fee for each phone and said the cases were non-returnable. If you don't want to be frustrated and disappointed after getting a new phone, AVOID this place. The manager Erik S did not disclose charges for accessories and provided false information regarding the protection plan. With the accessories, he noted it was included in a "package" with the phone, as though there was no additional charge. Instead, he charged me an extra $110. These charges are easy to miss as they are added to the upgrade/activation/setup fees. He explained that as a retail store with iPhones in demand, the accessories are included in a package. This sounds like bogus to me. He offered a phone protection plan for $17. I asked him to clarify whether it was a monthly or a one-time fee, and he answered "One-time". Sure enough, I checked my Verizon app, and I was set to be charged monthly. It is a shame that such a business is trying to trick the local community. After receiving excellent service from Wireless Plus on Glendale Ave., I figured since this place is closer to where me and wife and live, we could just go here to help activate her phone. We were wrong. My wife and I asked the employee there if she can activate my wife's phone. I explained that we had the same issue with my phone the day prior and that I went to the Glendale ave. location and they activated my phone for me in minutes through the computer/verizon interface or whatever. The employee then proceeds to tell us "do you have the old phone with you? I need the sim card from your old phone. It's the only way I can see to make your new phone work." I asked if she was sure, in which she replied "It's the only way." Complete bullsh**. Anthony from the Glendale Ave. location did this on the computer, no sim card nonsense even uttered at all, done in 5 mins, all while he was busy making a sale on another kiosk since he was the only employee there at the time. He's a rockstar The employee here either didnt know how to activate the phone, or simply chose not to help me and my wife. Either way, that's what makes this place awful; The poor customer service, lack of knowledge, and non-chalant demeanor. Skip this place, they don't like being bothered by customers. She seemed more interested in Kylie Jenner's IG and making tiktok videos while on the job (at least thats the vibe we got). Bryan REFUSED to sell my husband a phone because my husband ASKED what the return policy was over the phone before making a trip to the store for the purchase. He obviously made his way there to buy a phone you fool, but apparently his concern was the sales goal and commission rather than customer service. We ended up going to a LEGIT VERIZON location a few blocks down where they said everyone complains about Wireless "plus" and they're shady practices. One of the worst experiences trying to upgrade a phone. They will charge you hidden fees (not official verizon ones) and blackmail you if you don't purchase any additional accessories. Erik threatened to return my phone had I not purchase a wall adaptor or other accessories for my phone, which I didn't need. Erik is probably one of the worst customer service rep ever. I don't know how that dude is going to go into any service industry. He was absolutely unprofessional, hot-headed and rude. Will not be returning here ever again. Best Buy is a better choice for phone upgrades and they don't charge hidden fees. read more

Please do yourself a favor and listen to all of the other reviewers on this page and STAY AWAY. Their practices at this location are EXTREMELY PREDATORY and FRAUDULENT, and my mother fell victim to them last month. My mother (not an authorized user on my account) came into this store with a simple request: her phone would not receive calls occasionally and that she wanted that fixed. That day she walked away with a brand new iPhone 8 Plus ($810), a certified pre-owned tablet ($300 and $25 monthly reoccurring data plan), a mobile Wifi hotspot ($20 monthly reoccurring data plan), and they bought out her old phone for $100 (worth at least ~$400). They informed her that all she had to do was pay a small payment of $200 and that would cover the new iPhone and they threw in the tablet and mobile hot spot "for free." I look at my billing statement and that trip to the store cost around an extra $150 a month. Again my mother did all of this WITHOUT being an authorized user and WITHOUT showing any form of identification. When I came into the store to get the situation rectified I was told that they could not do anything without the manager present. I was told to come in the next day because the manager would be in. Lo and behold I go in the next day and was told that the manager would actually not be in the store until the next day again. Their customer service is a mixed bag. A sales associate by the name of Brandon was altogether rude, arrogant, and not helpful at all. Conclusion: They have UNETHICAL practices here and prey on the elderly as well those who do not understand how wireless carriers operate. My mother came in to get her cellphone repaired and instead walked away with $1,500 occurred in fees all without her knowledge, without being an authorized user, and sorting out the mess with them was a headache. Easily the worst experience I ever had with Verizon or any phone store I needed help switching phones and the guy that was helping me was soooo rude from the beginning I could tell the guy just didn't want to be at work (white skin short hair with beard).I've been with Verizon for over 14 years now using the same pin and he kept saying the pin was wrong his like oh I can send you a verification code instead but obviously I wasn't going to get it because he removed my sim and I wasn't connected to WiFi after me being the one saying shouldn't I connect to WiFi aleast and put my chip in to get the code he said oh yeahh, couple minutes later I get the code and he turns around and says sorry I already closed it out I can't help you, mind you there is no one else in store and I've been standing in front of him the whole time . if he truly wanted to help out he could've reopened it and sent the code again while maybe even asking for my ID. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! Like other reviewers have mentioned- they will try to make a sale with lies and deception. My mom went into the store recently to get a new iphone and they practically scammed her into "bundling" two used tablets. She is now trying to return the tablets but now they are charging a "restocking" fee for 2 USED tablets. Additionally, we there is a total and complete lack of communication trying to return these tablets within the 14 day limit- they are not saying that they are a "3rd party" Verizon dealer and that they can't do anything so they suggested going to an actual Verizon store. This guy was able to patiently walk me through every single request (and I had multiple), from changing phone, activating a new one, switching lines, setting up auto pay, changing a number, figuring out Apple Watch issues, you name it. He patiently took me one by one, making the calls to customer service himself because I was on hold for over an hour. Not one complaint, not one annoyed look, rather all professionalism and the willingness to help. He hope he gets some sort of metal or employee of the year incentive. This store is a joke. Turn, Run away, and never look back.... Their sales rep "Menooa A" gave away a tablet for free and confirmed that there is no extra charge. He said if I use data for the tablet, it will be deducted from my phone data plan. I believed in him because I DID NOT sign any contract or agreement. And I left the store around 1 o'clock on June 30th. A week later I checked my next month bill. And boom!!! there were tablet bill charge ($300) , activation charge ($30), a line charge ($10) with a protection plan ($10). And there are 2 SIGNED contracts/agreements!!! The signature was not mine or my wife's. In fact, there was just a straight line across the signature line and it was dated June 30th 3:45 p.m. (almost 3 hours after I left the store). I went back to the store and asked what happened. The manager "Roy - (you may see his review here with 5 stars)" said I signed the contract. Signed? It was a line!! But he repeated I signed the contract. If I want to return it, I have to pay a "restocking fee of $70". Are you joking? I called Verizon and filed a complaint. But Verizon did not solve the problem. I ended up going back to the store and returned the tablet and had to pay a $70 restocking fee or else I would be stuck with a $300 tablet charge and have a contract for 2 years. Thank God. I checked my bill a week later, if I had waited another week, I would have been screwed for over $700. But I am not done here. I'm going to Police station to report a fraud. And I will call the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to complain. I think this is not a specific store problem. I thinks it is how Wireless Plus operates. Came in a few days ago to check on an upgrade for my dads iPhone, I had to wait a few minutes because two customers ahead of me were being helped but was occupied looking at their phone displays. When my turn came up I was greeted by Wes. I explained to him my dads iPhone was having issues with the touchscreen and that I had the screen replaced twice before and didn't want to go through another repair again. He looked up my account and showed me options for an upgrade he was eligible for and we choose a new iPhone for him. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock but he ordered it and said it would arrive without 2-3 business days, which worked for me, and that he would call me once the phone arrived in store. Fast forward to today, Wes calls me let's me know the phone is here but I told him I wouldn't be able to make it in because of work. He asked if my dad would be able to come in and I told him he could but his not exactly tech savvy and is still getting used to using and iPhone. Wes made my day, he said not to worry he would guide my dad through the process and that he would transfer all his data from the old phone into his new iPhone so he could have peace of mind that everything worked. When I got home I asked my dad how it went and he said great and started showing me how to use YouTube, that made me laugh, I asked him when did you learn that and he told me the guy, Wes, at the store helped him out and lot and took his time explaining the phone. Traded in my phone and was told a screen protector, case and charging block were included in my taxes... no receipt, ended up costing me $189. ASK FOR A RECEIPT. Charging block didn't even work, charged me $40 for a knockoff Apple Charger that they advertise as authentic (Apple sells for $20) and then told me all accessory sales are final. Rip off. I bought a new to me used phone and unfortunately the SIM card from my old phone was the wrong side to transfer over. I first went to the Montrose Verizon and while the gentleman there was very nice, their store had very little in the way of accessories for phones. I then called this location and was told that yes, they have what I was looking for. The young man assisting me, Hunter, could not have been more pleasant. He helped me get everything transferred from my old phone to the new one and had me out of there in no time. Recently, my cellular phone Moto z2, which has been totally purchased by me at this Verizon location before, started to have some problem. I came to the office and asked them for help. The store manager, by name Hunter, said that they should better change it for me by another one, Moto z4, without any raise in my monthly payments if I return them my previous phone. I agreed and returned my Moto z2 in exchange, as I believed, for Moto z4. Unfortunately, this manager and, apparently, all his staff, happened to be simply Verizon authorized crooks. Instead of my previous monthly payments of $43.60 they started to charge me $55.63 a month, including there financing for $525.00 of the new Moto z4. When I came to the office last week to find out what was going on, I was told that Hunter and his staff did not work there any more and that nobody could find their a single indication that they received back my old Moto z2. I came here today to get released from my parents phone plan and start my own. I came in with my mom at 12:00pm and there was only one worker and two customers ahead of us. There was no eye contact or any sort of acknowledgement from the worker that we were even there waiting. (The reason I say "worker" was because this man was wearing a leather jacket as he helped customers so his name tag was covered). My mom and I after 20 minutes of standing around, decide to go sit next to the counter where he was helping these two ladies. Still zero acknowledgement and now we're listening to what he's saying to these women. He's talking extremely slow and taking his time on the computer to the point where it almost seemed like it was on purpose. He explained an entire plan to one of the women about the prices she was gonna be paying along with all the fees. He broke it down for her very slowly (trust me, I respect patience and thoroughly explaining things to people, but this guy almost seemed stoned). After he went on a 10 minute explanation to this woman, he finalized everything and walked to the back room to get the phone he had just convinced the woman to get and he comes back with "we actually don't have that phone, so let me explain to you what else we could do" So at this point it's 12:45, and my mom had appointments she had to be at. We decided to leave because we felt extremely disrespected. I felt more bad for the 6 other people that came in after us who had no clue what kind of wait they had just got themselves into. I can honestly say that I will never come back to this verizon spot again. If you're in the La Crescenta area, go to the one in the Ralph's plaza on foothill. BEWARE: Dishonest, unethical people working here. My mother in law needed a flip phone to replace her old one. The sale person told her he will give her car charger for free. She said she didn't want it cause she doesn't drive. He said it's free and pushed her to take it. She came home and it showed in her receipt $29.99. We went the next day to return it but he said all accessories are final sales. He had bad attitude when we tried to return it. He also changed her $50 set up free. She had a flip phone..all the set up free was for transfer 4 phone numbers on to her new phone. I found that very unethical. Try to make a living by scamming old people. Terrible experience. These people are crooks. Ani helped us switch to verizon from sprint. 1. Gave us a quote for the iPhone 6s plus for $28/month on the phone itself. Got the bill and it's at $35.90. 2. Did not explain that we had to do the trade-in online and do each line by itself. She said that verizon will send us boxes to send our old devices to verizon. Come to find out that we had to do it online ourselves. 3. I went back to this store as Ani said to come back in once we have our final bill from sprint. I did go back with our final bill but Ani was on vacation so I spoke to a girl (forgot her name but she's in the heavy side) and told us to do it online or come back when Ani comes back. So I asked her "what do you do here?". 4. When I signed up, Ani actually slipped in a $49.99 Loyalty Membership charge on my bill. Which we did not have any idea about. I went back there the next day and asked for the refund on this. I have all my receipts to prove it. Receipt for the charge and receipt for the refund. So, if you want to try this store to find out for yourself how crooked they are, make sure you get things in writing first. The store and it's staff are only out for their commission, I found that out from verizon customer service. I strongly recommend, going direct to verizon, they will help you better with the whole process of switching. This store is only a dealer, they will try to make money on you as much as they can. After you buy from them, they will not help you anymore since they are not getting anymore commission from you. That's how this store operates. read more

My girlfriend and I finally made the switch to the better network, and the associates at Wireless Plus were extremely helpful with helping us to get it done effectively and efficiently! During our visit we worked with Wesley. He was very knowledgeable and concise with breaking down each step in the process, as well as cost differences and what we could expect in moving forward with the switchover. I felt that he was very transparent about what we would be doing and getting with our new service plans, trade-ins, and phones, which is exactly the type of guidance I had hoped for! We came in with a bit of a trickier situation, requiring the following: - Switchover from AT&T to Verizon (two separate accounts), while retaining phone numbers - Upgrading both of us to new phones each - Backing up and transferring data from each of the old phones to new phones - Trading in old phones + an extra as store trade-in and Verizon mail-in trade-ins - A thorough breakdown of the plan variations and differences, with different trade-in combinations (and the respective effects on our monthly bill) Walking in, we had expected to be at the store for a while, but everything moved along smoothly and efficiently.
