    Seeing positive reviews of this Verizon store is frankly baffling and makes me further question Verizon's SOPs at their stores across the board. I went in late September speaking with a female store rep about upgrading my Google Pixel 6 and she presented me with two options: the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL or Google Fold. After about a day or so, I figured I'd go with the Pixel 9 Pro XL for the better battery, processor and larger screen. She told me that I would have to upgrade my plan to get the $1000 credit, which I agreed to and received a nominal $5 increase to my monthly bill. (Later I found out that this was a change in Verizon's Autopay policy, which wasn't communicated to me at the time as I thought I had already been switched to the plan for the $1000 credit). I forget where but I was notified that the phone delivery would be delayed because of a severe back order because there were others that also liked the $1000 off. I let them know that I was changing job locations and they notified me that I would get a call from them when the phone arrived so I could pick it up on whatever weekend. Here's where things take a downturn. A week later after my new job started on 11/04, I check the delivery notification from UPS and it said that the phone was already delivered. Great. Weird that they didn't call me but I'll just go over and pick it up since I am in the area. We speak with a different male store rep on the weekend and he says that the phone is still not there and that we will call when it arrives. I mention the UPS notification but he shrugs and it's a dead-end. (I did not see the Steve name on the UPS delivery until a month later so that could have been the rep's name? I don't know and I don't care to know). Which brings us to yesterday and today. I saw on my Verizon account, the Ship date was 11/29/2024, which was the date provided when I made the purchase initially. I was away for the holidays/out of town so I thought I'd missed it but was at least expecting a call to set up the pick-up and finalize the purchase, given how often I'd checked in. Nothing. I reach out to Verizon's chat representative and find out that my phone was received by someone named Steve, which reflected the UPS Tracking notification. (Picture Provided) Come to find out that nothing was done, even though the order number was generated upon the day/time of purchase. I wasn't even upgraded to the Verizon's Unlimited Ultimate plan for the $1000 credit and was told repeatedly "it'll be here any day now." The Verizon chat representative did everything in his power to get me the phone, getting me as many deals as possible so none of the review content reflects upon him and he is the sole reason I am even considering staying a Verizon customer. I eventually decided to not even bother with the phone anymore and keep my Pixel 6 because I was so tired and wanted to be done. What bothers me throughout all of this is the consistent, unfettered, and profuse lying that I experienced with every single interaction from this Verizon Store's customer service representatives. It is the bare minimum expectation when I give a company/service money (or at least am willing to) that I receive something in return. This store cost Verizon a phone purchase, increased recurring funds from a loyal customer and, me, my time. In the future, I will save my purchases for the actual Google online store because dealing with so many third parties is exhausting. So unless you have the item physically in your hands, do not induce yet another headache into your lives. I always write these Yelp reviews to inform others of gross negligence and because I figure that if it happened to me, it is going to happen to another customer - if it hasn't already.
