I will definitely be coming back if I ever have another device with a cracked screen or any other issue. What impressed me the most--and something that's rare these days--was the honesty of the gentleman who helped me. Instead of trying to upsell me, he actually talked me out of spending more money than I needed to. He recommended the most affordable option that would work for my phone. That kind of integrity is hard to find. This isn't a place that's out to rip you off--they're honest, trustworthy people who genuinely care about their customers.

He gave both phones a second life with a new battery AND was able to save me money by simply doing a deep clean on my port and discovering that some dirt preventing the charger from seating properly was the issue - which saved me from having to get an entirely new port. From the moment I reached out, he was responsive, communicative, and transparent about the process. Extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The quality of the work was excellent, and he had both phones finished in about an hour. Fast, professional, and genuinely great customer service. It's rare to find someone who combines technical skill with such a smooth customer experience. Highly recommended. Will always call him first any time I have an issue!

1 STAR -- Extremely misleading pricing and a complete waste of my time…read more I contacted this store about replacing the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I specifically confirmed my phone model, and I was told in writing that the screen replacement started at $208.80 + tax. Based on that information, I decided to make an appointment with them. After making the appointment and showing up, I was suddenly told that the price I had been given was wrong and that the repair would actually cost around $330. How does a customer receive a specific price, schedule an appointment based on that price, and then arrive at the store only to be told that the price was incorrect? If the $208.80 price was wrong, it should have been corrected before I made an appointment and wasted my time. What makes this even more frustrating is that they advertise themselves as an authorized repair provider and emphasize their professionalism and quality of service. I expected the basic courtesy of being given accurate pricing before committing to an appointment. I have no problem paying a fair price for quality work, but I do have a problem with being quoted one price and then being told something completely different after I've already made the trip and scheduled an appointment. I strongly recommend confirming the price in person before making an appointment, because the price you are given initially may apparently not be the price you're actually charged. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of my time.

Cost $150. He also put a screen protector on it for us. We also got a lot of absurdist humor for free. Price was $150, they won't charge you tax if you pay cash or Zelle.

My first time in, I went for the cheaper screen, which overheated and used a ton of energy. The repair guy is so reasonable, if there is something you don't like, he will 100% make it right. I found him on yelp, I'm not a personal friend, I'm your average customer.

I wholeheartedly recommend Jessica Valencia at Cosmo Repair. She's the owner and an excellent…read moretechnician, and it's a pleasure to support a small business where you can actually reach the person who does the work -- by phone or text. Jessica has been in business since 2008 and has been at The Paseo (formerly Paseo Colorado) in Old Town Pasadena for many years, though in different mall locations. She also graciously validates parking. I came in late afternoon to have her inspect my older Samsung phone. Parts took two days to arrive; if you go early enough, they sometimes come the next day. She orders Samsung screens made in Korea. They are not OEM, but mine passed the fingerprint sensor configuration test, which is important. You want to see if the screen's sensitivity is working properly. If you don't want fingerprint login, just delete it after the test. There's a 90-day warranty. I returned two days later. She installed the replacement screen and camera while I waited in the lobby. There's a comfortable black couch and a nice view of shoppers at The Paseo. She really rescued this phone. Another shop had damaged the camera while replacing a cracked screen and sold me a knockoff that developed vertical lines in under a year and wasn't touch-sensitive. Jessica replaced that non-Korea screen and fixed the camera. If you need Samsung repair, go to Cosmo. Wherever you take the phone, ask for a Korea-made screen and confirm it passes the fingerprint sensor configuration test before you leave.

I must have looked deflated, because he came out and asked me what I needed. He stayed and agreed to diagnose my s24u to see if the water damage was repairable. Unfortunately corrosion had occurred and the motherboard required micro$oldering and would likely cost more than the phone was worth as it also needed a new screen.
