Had an awesome experience here about a month ago when I came in to get information about Verizon's plans and phones. For the past couple of years I have been using a corporate cell phone and recently decide that I wanted to get my own. I was pretty sure that Verizon was the carrier that I wanted to go with, but I was curious to see what sort of in-store deals were available to new customers. I knew I wanted a 4G phone, but was debating between the Galaxy 4s and iPhone 5s. I was helped by Rex, one of the store managers, and he was very helpful and informative. He went over a "hypothetical" plan with me, which was at a great price. Since I was able to get all the information that I needed, I decided to get my new phone that day. The set up and registration process was simple and fast, and Rex was very patient while we sorted through the available options for a new phone number (I admit I was kind of picky). The whole process took about 30 minutes, and I walked out the door a very happy customer. read more

I made an appointment for this past Sunday and my sister, brother and I were all so impressed with the guy that took our appointment - Brian Yee. Out of all the Verizon people I have met in the past....Brian knew his stuff. He is supposed to be in Sales, but actually helped us save money and my family could not help raving about his customer service to our friends after. We are two happy newly Verizon customers with the new Pixel 3 phones. Bryan helped with the phone purchase and smooth transition from our ATT plans. We bundled 3 accessories (screen protector, phone case and car charger) and got a discount. We had to wait for the screen protectors to come in but the wait was worth it. Eric was super corteous and helpful with applying the screen protectors to our one week-old phones. We could have gone to the Verizon near our house but we prefer to come to this location !!! read more

Whelp, where do I start. The customer service was below poor, if I could have done 1/2 star I would have. They for sure did not go above and beyond. After I left the store I tried calling the number associated with the store to speak with the manager to let him know they were incorrect about my account (per being on the phone with tech support after they would not assist me) but the number goes straight to corporate. The sales person was not helpful, then her manager came over and instead of reviewing my account just agreed with her. When I spoke with tech support they said no one even opened my account (they can see when it's accessed) and had they opened it they would have seen that I was correct and the info they were asking me for was in my file. UGH... so I spoke with tech support an hour in the parking lot outside of McCarthy ranch store and now am going to the fremont store to resolve my manufacture issue. I bet if I was buying a new bundle or upgrading and spending some cash It would have been fine. UGH... poor customer service. read more

Had to schedule an appointment due to online issues, but was able to get so much done and more while in the store. Victor helped me trade in for the new iPhone 12 and explained all of the great promotions. He even gave me his phone number if I had any questions, which ended up coming in handy as I struggled at home. This team is the definition of customer obsession! read more

IF you are travelling abroad, DO NOT rely on VERIZON. Their internation services are a fraud - they make big promises but their international network is very bad. once you sign up, they will start charging you the fee but you will not be able to call. You will be completely stranded - you won't be able to call them and you won't be able to contact them online for you need to be able to receive a password on your mobile when you fill the online contact request. Here is my story: I signed up for international roaming pack and enabled international roaming before I left US. Verizon charged me the $10 at the time of enabling. After I reached my international destination, each day that I turned my phone on - verizon charged me $10. But, I would not be able to call. I would get a message services not available. It was a frustrating situation. I could not call verizon support due to verizon issue. I tried to contact them online - but even to connect they need an OTP that they send to the phone which I could not receive because of the problem. Finally I contacted a friend here to reach out to Verizon. Verizon refused to discuss anything until my friend paid the monthly fee of $65. When he explained the problem, they promised to activate. The CSR also said verizon would refund me all the daily $10's charged since it was a connection problem attributable to verizon's network. Even after that situation did not improve. After I returned I tried to contact verizon many times but was never able to reach a live agent. So I switched to another service provider because I was fed up. I also filed a complaint - the agent took 1hour time to create a complaint. But when I later contacted - I was told there is no complaint. Also, since i was not longer an active customer, CSR would not provide me any details or even talk about . In short - I was charged unfairly and am still waiting to hear from verizon if the company has any concern for its customer base. read more

Worst service ever. Came in for an upgrade and was told I was next in line, I've been waiting a half an hour and another couple walks in and the kid working at the store tell me he's going to help them first because they will be quicker. Seems like they're friends. I let him know we've been waiting a half hour already and he said it'll be two more minutes and he doesn't do upgrades anyway (odd that someone working at the Verizon store "doesn't do upgrades) but I guess he needs to help his buddies since they're now talking about who they know at the gym. I'm still here waiting btw, the lines getting longer and it's been more than just the "just two minutes more" I was promised and it looks like he's now upgrading their line (thought he couldn't do that!?). I haven't even begun my transaction or been helped yet and the process has already been extremely irritating and painfully slow. Just as bad as calling in to Verizon customer service! read more

Came in and was immediately greeted and made an appointment on the spot. Wait time was a little less than ten minutes as there were quite a few other customers waiting in line ahead of us. This gave us the opportunity to walk around and check out anything new. The store is clean and laid out well so that you can see everything within one glance. Our rep was Calvin and he did an amazing job at ensuring that we were well taken care of. He assisted us with all of our questions, provided us information with everything up to date with the bill and was just a pleasure over all chatting with in between waiting. Zero out of five stars for starters. We've been with Verizon for twenty years, and let me specify that the only reason we've stuck around is because of the phone support. Retail stores run on commission, cover a different (lesser) scope of capabilities, and have immensely poor customer facing service. I came to the store prepared for a wait, but nothing could prep me for these next 45minutes of utter frustration. I came into the store needing to grab a SIM card, wanting to upgrade to the iPhone 7, and possibly switching to one of their new plans time allowing [scoff]. 12:45 -- Walked in, let Elena know I'm in a time crunch and just needed a SIM card. She informed me that there's just one person ahead of me and they'll get to me in a few minutes. 1PM -- No sign of assistance, approached gentleman standing at the counter, Forrest (?) 1:10 -- Forrest grabbed the wrong SIM card twice and had to take on Elena's customer because she didn't know what to do with him. Passed me off to Elena without a word. Elena didn't know what to do- a recurring theme... 1:25 -- After much argument with Elena as to why she couldn't get me a SIM card, I refused to take no for an answer after waiting 35min. Forrest finally finished with the customer (who came after me and got helped before me), came over and was able to transact my SIM card. 1:30 -- 45 minutes for a bloody SIM card. Condescending, poorly trained, "holier than thou" staff (take it down a notch, you work in Verizon retail). I'm generally an immensely patient and understanding person, but 45 MINUTES FOR A SIM CARD?? If you mess with my time, then you're messing with my money, and I will have none of either. read more

I was bored waiting for a broken phone to have it's service switched to an older working phone, which they did for free. The store is clean, and what I love about Verizon stores, is all the display phones are working phones. If you're a stalker, this makes it easy for you to pick any random number and call that one person that would never pick up your call. If you're a crazy girlfriend, and your boyfriend is out with his friends, and this store is still open, you can call him and trick him and see if he will pick up another number. You can play pranks on your own friends and leave them funny text messages. One Blackberry that was on display had someone's FaceBook profile stored on it. I signed on and noticed the name of the person it belonged to, then quietly changed the status to "(Name) left their sign-on information on a phone at the Verizon store, and likes b@lls." I laughed, left the browser on the phone, and turned around. I turned around to see that it was the employee's FaceBook account I screwed with. I pretended to stay on the phone, as he peered over my shoulder. I felt bad, but there was no way I could sign back on without him noticing. A customer enetered and inquired about the same exact phone I was playing with. I stubbornly pretended to ignore him and kept playing with the phone. The employee in question got a call and he answered and laughed then came back to peer over my shoulder. I was caught. I left right away when it was clear. read more

This is my 6th day without my Droid that was stolen from me at the Mall last Wednesday when I sat my phone down for a few seconds (no joke) and walked to the mirror a few feet away. but THAT? Is a whole other Verizon story... Today, in the hopes that the 2nd attempt at sending me a replacement phone (that wasn't broken like the 1st one) would be a success, I went in to my local Verizon Store to buy a car charger and screen cover for my new "Certified Pre-owned" Droid phone. When I entered the store I carried with me the chip on the shoulder that I got from dealing with not one not 2 but 3 rotten Customer Service reps while trying to report my phone stolen and get a replacement. It takes a lot to make me fussy, but I was NOT in the mood for sales people at Verizon when I entered. haha The girl at the front made me sign in - which annoyed me because I JUST wanted a charger and a screen cover and then leave and get on with my lunch hour. She immediately called over a rep named Chris to come over and assist me. He told me that he would have to go in the back and he'd be right back. Well, that sent me into a sarcastic spin of conversation with him. "In the back?" What IS this?! haha BOY WAS I GLAD THEY WERE PATIENT WITH ME. =0) Chris came out with a cardboard box FILLED with things for my new Droid. All on CLEARANCE! YAY! Chris sweet talked me into different "outfits" for my phone. You know, for when my moods change. GOOD WAY TO WORD IT, CHRIS! LMAO I walked out excited to see this "new" phone that I had walked in hating. I have screen protectors, a car charger, and 3 SUPER CUTE outfits (covers) for my droid that I can "change with my moods" - ALL for less than the regular price of a charger! $20 including taxes! Me LOVES the backroom now! haha After the letter i just mailed CERTIFIED to the Verizon Corporate office about my horrible experienceS with their phone Customer Service over the past 6 days... Employees here are always rude (really bad customer service). Went in to get my phone checked as it was frozen and i was told to go apple instead because my phone was locked which was not an issue. Asian lady only looked at the screen didn't even touch the phone. I tried to explain what happened but she seems not interested of helping. I went to apple store and it was not the issue. Spoke to 3 employees on that same day and they are all rude the way the talk to you. I would rather drive farther to get a better customer service. They don't even deserve a star. read more

DONT GO HERE! go to the Verizon store on El Camino Real or switch carriers all together!!! I ordered a phone with Black Friday deal and the email told me to wait till phone is delivered to store. After 2 days, I got a email to pick up within 3 days after delivery to store So when I went to store on third day expecting to get a new phone they tell me that it's been cancelled as the they started the countdown from the ORDER DATE and NOT THE DELIVERY DATE which is absurd as the email told me not to go before it was delivered!! We were standing at the store for an hour or more trying to talk with customer care with absolutely no help from a Mr. JOEL DECKARD (spelling might be wrong as he wouldn't tell us his name). The store manager and assistant manager are rude and complete incompetent. They made dozens of people wait in line for hours on the product that they don't even have. I went to this store on the day Galaxy Nexus came out. Waited in line along with 3 dozens of people for almost 2 hours. The manager and assistant manager periodically went around the line to assure people that they have the phone in stock. It was, however, a lie. They ran out of stock on the 15th person, and neglect to tell the rest of us. They should have done an inventory first, and then make sure the line is no longer than 15. So that people don't wait in line for hours to get nothing. The manager and assistant manager both have little management skills and non-existent customer-facing skills. Came in yesterday for an upgrade since another Verizon store by Eastridge had poor customer service. Arrive here an hour before it closed and Giao Duong helped me with my upgrade. Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S4 (32gb black) was not in stock and ordered one for me. I would of gotten the white, but I think black is better. Giao also recommended a case for me. In the near future, I will be coming to this location more often because they provide excellent service. read more

I've been curious about the Galaxy Tab and iPad so, I walked into the VZW store to check them out. Not to mention, I had 40-minutes to kill before I needed to be back at work! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked if I needed any help, which I didn't but was told to not hesitate to ask if I had questions. Cool, no pressure sales at all. So, I was playing on the Tab for awhile and the same guy came by and asked if I had any questions, still a no, he smiled and walked away. I asked where the iPad was and he pointed me in the right direction and played on it for awhile. When I walked out, I did have a couple questions which the guy and colleague were able to answer for me and again, I wasn't pressured to buy anything, crunch numbers or forced into any demo yet, when I walked out, I was still greeted with a thank you for coming in. Also, it just wasn't me, as I kind of heard the conversations between the other reps with the customers and they were quite friendly. So...what's so fab about my experience? I've been with AT&T so far back, when it was still Cingular, so roughly maybe 9-years? Every time I've been to an AT&T store, it's been pretty difficult to get any help and when you do, it isn't the most awesome customer service either. Once I figure out which tablet I want and do my homework on the cell/tab plans, I actually may consider ending my 9-year relationship with AT&T...cuz breaking up is (not) hard to do. read more

I've been here several times. Though they are offputting that they try to sell promotional deals that they are showcasing every month, they are very nice folks who will help you. But you have to ask. 1) My BlackBerry won't turn on nor recharge with my wall and phone chargers so I thought what is the coincidence that both chargers were dead and bought a new $45 battery after I told them my phone won't turn on. I went to Diamond Wireless when my phone died within a month and they tried recharging my phone with their wall charger. It worked! So the battery was not the problem - it was both chargers! But The VZW store didn't try to diagnose that. However, the battery did come with a thirty day refund. 2) I came here after hearing from Diamond Wireless that I qualify for a discount through my company, but I had to activate at a VZW store. I came here to do that and they did it for me with a smile. Then another guy tried to sell me some Bluetooth promotion, but I declined. People here are nice enough and will try to sell (without too much pushiness). I give them four stars for the nice friendly service anyway and Verizon has the best phone service. read more

I can't stand the arrogant guys that work here. There are 2 in particular that don't seem to care about customer service, they just are about the sales. The only pleasant person I have worked with there is a young, petite, friendly african america lady. She is so helpful and very honest. She is sarcastic which makes the whole waiting process enjoyable because she's great at making you laugh. She was able to get me a discount on my new phone without having to do a mail in rebate. Every time I go in there, I look for her. If she's not available, I go else where. Most of the time the people tell you one thing, then when you call 611, u r told the exact opposite. I went to this Verizon store to get a upgraded phone. There were two people standing behind the register one asian guy geared up 49ers jersey. The second one female in a Raiders jersey and one on the floor which is the manager geared up in a Cowboys jersey. Oh this was Sunday and it looks like it was sport jersey wear at work for them. The manager of course wearing a tastless Cowboys jersey lol! I didn't care much and I'm coming in with my 49ers sweatshirt. I was hoping to get help by of course the 49ers geared up representative but instead I was stuck with the Cowboys manager. Which was fine. I didn't have any problem This was after the game. When our turn came around it was 15mins. The service started good until he began to excuse him several time to cater to incoming customer coming in the store which we thought was VERY RUDE!! I had to tap him on the shoulder a few times hello?? Sir! your helping me here. I waited and I need your FULL ATTENTION! please focus your attention on me I waited fair and square for service and they should do the same point blank. Oh! the look in his face was priceless and clusless! I didn't think I was rude. He insisted he had to do his job and put them on the waiting list?? effin crap. So I insisted I'm a customer you need to help me making him look a little bit more stupid. Oh another customer also made him stupid by fueling my frustration and he basically had nothing to say and repeated my apolgy. If I havn't tapped him on the shoulder he would of just ignored me and made me waited until he got to each and everyone in his tablet. Poor customer service right here!!!! He continue to apologize pratically 5 times and also said an employee called in sick this why we are short handed? I didn't care what he had to say. The whole time took almost 1 hour. oh! yes 7 times to get a print out from the back that took extra time to walk from where he was helping me. All through this visit people were coming in and also frustrated because they wanted to purchase one thing and they instructed it will take 15 minutes to get ringed up for purchases r they can use the express machine and use a credit card. I was pretty upset and know right away I was going to yelp about them. Lucky i had my children with me who were calm and collective showing patience throughout the time. So here it is... this store is awful! no customer service what so ever! I'm never going to come here anymore and I expect people to do the same after reading this write up. But go ahead and witness it yourself and yes Yelp back the negativity that arise. I don't sugar coat my reviews so take this review very much with heart. We came in for phone upgrade on Sunday afternoon and we were so pleased with the service that this Verizon store provide us. This is always my home store even though we live all the way in South San Jose, but we didn't mind to drive far away to get good customer service. All the staff here are super nice, professional, knowledgeable, very patient and explain things very well about the phones, plans, etc. CAMERON was the man who we have to give thumbs up to. He was so cool, kind and gave us excellent customer service on that day. CHARLENE was my best lady there too. Michael was the manager on duty on that day, he was super helpful and nice as well.. Everyone there is so awesome of what they do. I always see them smiling and joking with customers all the time. All the staffs was given us above and beyond on their customer service. I recently went to this verizon wireless store and was pleasantly surprised on how quick and efficient the visit was. I won't explain the complex situation but when I explained it to the representative Cameron Rodriguez he knew exactly what was needed to get it done and he worked very well with my sister and I when it came to getting a phone in our price range. I was awed by how comfortable I felt talking to him. He was polite and funny and definitely took the chore out of getting a new phone. By the end of our visit we had gotten everything we wanted with money to spare! I've had many bad experiences with verizon whether it be over the phone or in the store and this man has restored my faith in the company. So while my wife ws buying a case and screen protector, I asked the manager. He said that stopped today! I called verizon and they said not true! The man as ger would not budge st all. He kept trying to push the bundle for things we did not need. Since we were buying a phone and running out of patience, my wife went ahead and bought the bundle with no 25% military discount. These guys are legit. I think the manager here named Brian helped me through some complicated matters with my phone, and when they couldn't figure it out that evening, he contacted me the very next morning to let me know the results and everything worked out the way it needed to. Just a word of caution...DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING VALUABLE IN YOUR CAR. Seriously, this place is wonnnnnnnnnnderrrrrrrrrrrrrrfullllllllllll! So my hubby and I have been thinking about switching to the blackberry phones for a while now... but we just couldn't justify spending the additional money.... well, with my new job, comes a looooooooooooot of downtime. lol we're just not that busy! so there are hours where all i do is surf the net... and they've blocked facebook :( so that's just not cool..... so i had to get a blackberry! so i came in here with a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago just to look.... and one of the associates convinced me to go ahead and do the upgrade right away... i'm totally blanking on his name though! xavier or something like that? no idea, i'm totally blank. anyway, our case was superrrrrrrrr complicated, because both me and my hubby were on family plans, and we needed to leave and make our own familes hahahah... so anyway, 2 hours later, he handed me my two blackberries with EVERYTHING set up.... and he had set me up with all the accessories that i needed to start using it right away.... super awesome! and then about two weeks ago, i went in again to see what were my options for my dad's line... i left him on my family plan because i can't justify spending $40/month on his phone when he hardly ever uses it... but he really wants to go off on his own. so i discussed the prepaid plans with tuyen, and he did a very thorough job explaining our different options and making suggestions. he even gave me a coupon to waive the activation fee! overall, i love this store and i'll always come here for my verizon/phone needs. read more

Initially, I came in here incredibly vexed. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and didn't know where I should go. I just wanted to add a discount I get from job to my personal wireless account. I walked up to these 2 people behind the counter who weren't helping any customers and before I could say anything, this guy said "um can you sign in?" So I look to where his finger is pointed and proceeded to the computer. Then, outta nowhere, the store manager greeted me and asked for my name and signed me in. He said the wait would be 10-15 minutes. I figured that wasn't so bad so I walked around the store a few times and finally took an open seat. After about 10 minutes, the store manager asked one of the employees who was waiting for her customers to finish debating about something to help me. Since all I needed was to add a discount, she didn't mind. She was nice to me and I was happy the store manager sought an opportunity to get me some quick help so I'd be on my way. In the end, I got what I wanted, a discount added to my account. I wasn't happy with the fact that only 2 employees were actually helping people even though there were clearly 4 computers and 5 employees. Basically, the first person who rudely told me to go sign in ruined my experience. If it wasn't for him, I'd give it a 4 star. But he automatically put me (and every person after me who walked in) a snappy mood. He didn't smile or say please. HMPH! I think things would've gone a lot smoother if the employees helped each other out more. I was greeted on my way out by the manager. Spotted this location after stopping at an "authorized retailer" with only Verizon signage outside, so I was quite upset when I got inside and they're all, "oh we're not a REAL Verizon..." Anywhoo, this location rocked. There was a nice man trying to show me games to play on a pad computer while I waited for tech support, but tech support called me before I got to play with the computer. And tech support was great. They have a great team of people here who work well together, have a good time doing good work, they kept me entertained while we waited forever for my data to transfer to my new phone (my own fault, saved way too many texts), and they give their customers good service. This location at McCarthy Ranch is the TOTAL opposite to the one I went to at the Auto Mall! I did have to wait, but the wait was nothing compared to my last experience at a Verizon Store. I had called ahead and knew exactly what I was getting so I didn't have to beat around the bush. Thu was super friends and knows his stuff! I was in and out in NO time and everything was perfect. I even got my first check-in at this store with my new phone. Thank you VERY much and if I ever need any wireless services withVerizon, I will make sure to come here. Aside from the oustanding service, this location has plenty of parking! It is set up pretty much to the same way other Verizon stores, so nothing fancy here. read more

Love this Verizon location! - Not inside the mall (dont have to deal w/ mall traffic and other dingdongs) - Parking is plentiful - Customer service is very knowledgeable and for the questions they dont have the answers to, they actually tell u that they dont know and go out of their way to get the answers for you. I thought they were going to give me some BS answers to my techi questions, but nopes... they had me pleasantly surprised. - Fast to greet and acknowledge their customers as well. I'll definitely return to this location for any and all of my Verizon needs. read more
