Do not buy screen protectors from Verizon. They cost about $70, and mine lasted less than two weeks. I later purchased a screen protector on Amazon for under $40, and it's lasted me two years. What they don't clearly tell you is that their "lifetime warranty" isn't really free -- you still have to pay a $10 shipping fee each time. For that price, I could just buy another protector elsewhere and still spend less. On top of that, the customer service was disappointing. My wife visited the Verizon corporate store on Sudley Rd in Manassas, VA on 5/19/2025 -- absolutely the worst experience we've had with Verizon, and it all comes down to one person: "Mark," the so-called manager. My wife was told by another Verizon location (Sowder Village) to come here for help with our business account. As soon as she walked in, Mark hit her with a rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional line: "So, they messed up your promotion and told you to come here, that makes no sense." That's not just a bad first impression -- it's unprofessional and completely unacceptable coming from someone in a management role. And it only got worse from there. Another employee started helping her and was actually making progress, being respectful and professional -- until Mark butted in again. For no reason. He got aggressive, talked down to her, and even had the nerve to call her "emotional." Really? That's how you talk to customers? The employee was literally about to give her the contact info she needed to resolve the issue. Instead, Mark decided to play tough guy and shut everything down. He completely derailed the situation and made it clear he'd rather flex his title than actually help. This isn't just a customer account -- it's a business line. If Verizon thinks this is acceptable behavior from corporate store management, that tells me everything I need to know about how they treat long-time customers. Mark - I'll be seeing you in person. I would give zero stars if I could. I signed up for Verizon FiOS online and a few days later three contractors came into my backyard without permission and started digging up my backyard to put down a cable. I could not communicate well with them because they mostly spoke Spanish and they ended up laying the wire through the middle of my yard in front of a shrub. I had an 8 AM appointment scheduled the next day (the only appointment I expected) for them to actually install the Internet and the technician did not show up to work. At 9 AM I had to call them and they asked if it was OK if someone came from 2 to 4 PM today. I said can you guarantee that window and they said no that depends on how their other appointments go. In between those two interactions I had to call in to ask them to send somebody new to fix the line. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and when the woman picked up, she said give me a moment to look at your account and then put me back in a new queue, which lasted another 45 minutes. I will see how the final installation goes but I will likely cancel Verizon and go back to comcast. Comcast internet is slow but I have never had such bad customer service. read more

I know its around the Christmas time and I expect lines but what I don't expect is lack of organization during the holidays. There was a line of people waiting to check in yet not one employee came to check anyone for a good 7min. You would have employees finish helping someone and then disappear to the back for long periods knowing that YOU HAVE A LINE. Today I went with my husband to the store in Sudley Road in Manassas to get assistance on technical issues with my iPhone. While we were waiting my husband asked a representative if they have alcohol wipes to clean the screen as he saw him cleaning another customer phone. The representative reacted very RUDE and NASTY and kicked my husband out of the store, claiming it was his store. I didn't say anything as I was still waiting for my phone. The representative that was taking care of my case was SUPERB. I remained calm until the RUDE representative who claimed to be the store manager and didn't want to provide his name gave me an UNNECESSARY NASTY look. I had to speak up in a very polite and calm way that his attitude was out of line and he started to raised his voice at me. I asked him not to raised his voice as I was talking to him calmly. Then he repeated that I was at his store and that my husband was rude. I said to the representative that my husband just asked a simple question. On the other hand him as the claimed STORE manager could have said "sorry we don't carry those at the store or give me a moment as I'm helping another customer" but he didn't. He raised his voice and was a TOTAL RUDE! I feel sorry for Verizon to have a store managers like him, that does a poor branding for the company. Customer service requires patience, good attitude and composure. I felt threatened, distressed and I am on my first trimester of pregnancy. At some point I felt for a second that he would try to kick me out as well. My suggestion is for that person to attend ANGER MANAGEMENT class. read more

This is in regard to wireless service. I had called the VZ 1-800 number asking for information on international calling, telling the representative I wanted the option for 2 of 8 days while I was outside the USA. The representative told me yes and if I did not make a call or send a text I would not be charged. Turns out I did not need the service but low and behold I was charged the international rate for all 8 days. Called VZ and was told no the charges would not be reversed/reduced. Let me contrast this with an experience I had with Comcast. When I bought a new TV a couple years back, I needed a Comcast Service technician to come to the house to connect the ROKU. Comcast charged me $75. I pleaded with one of their reps on the phone asking "why isn't this included in the $150 I have been paying monthly for the past 12 years. The Comcast rep graciously reduced the charge to $5. Let's say this is not some fool grumbling and complaining, making unreasonable demands. I just feel compelled to credit Comcast for being fairer, reasonable and responsive to their customers. read more

Andre, the manager, and Jackie the tech could not have been more polite, friendly, and results-oriented. Within a very short time they had listened to our issue, offered a workable and very satisfactory solution and had a new iPad unwrapped and activated for us. It took me over 5 hours, 7 phone calls to 1800Verizon (who gave me 4 numbers that were internal tj Verizon and auto routed me back to the 1800 that gave me their number), and on the computer USING MY DATA for over an hour (system kept timing out and I would have to log in) ONLY to come to find out SOME IDIOT UNPLUGGED ME FROM THE HUB!!! From the moment I walked in the door, it was a superior experience. There was a gentleman standing @ the door w/an iPad who asked me for my cell number so he could retireve my account information. He immediately referred me to one of the Service agents who was standing by. Ben was able to activate the account and make the contact transfers. He was able to recommend some cases and lens covers. This location on Sudley Road has become unbelievably bad. I stopped by a few days ago to pay a wireless bill, and the pay station, or whatever they call it, would not accept the phone number. It kept asking me over and over to enter the number, and it never could recognize that number, no matter how times I entered it. I have had this number for nine years, so they can't try to explain this away as a "new" number. The genius associate standing there watching me said, "You entered too many numbers." Too many numbers? It is a ten digit phone number, and I entered that very ten digit phone number exactly as it appeared on the bill. After three tries, I walked out. My time is more valuable to me than to stand there and try to troubleshoot their crappy equipment and train their disinterested employees. A couple of days later, I get an e-mail from them, or maybe from the VerLIEzon Mothership, asking me to please give them another chance - ? Well, have you fixed your broken junk? No mention of that, which tells me they haven't. They just want me to come back and waste more of my time. Well, nothing doing. There are plenty of VerLIEzon agents out there who provide MUCH better service than these company stores do. I got my last phone from this very store, about three years ago, and the in store service then was fine. Certainly not the case now. I've been a Verizon customer for 15 years now and I don't see any real reason to leave, except maybe the price. But thankfully with the unlimited data my monthly cost has come down under $100/mo wich is nice The store here in Manassas is super easy you can do anything from account maintenance to shopping for items and their corresponding accessories. I'm always in here for accessories for my phone. Staff is always friendly and helpful running around with their tablets getting answers to problems. There's no standing in line waiting for a cash register the sales people just ring you up at the tablet which I think is kinda neat. Does Verizon wireless really have the best network?? I was having problems with my phone charging. Every time I connected a charger to it, I would get a message to use the original charger. My phone is older, but I was using the original charger. I decided to purchase a new charger from this store on Wednesday to see if that would help the issue. Last night I plugged the charger to my phone. After a couple of minutes I smelled something burning. I looked down to see my charger/ phone smoking. I quickly disconnected my charger to find it was on fire. I quickly disconnected it from the wall. I observed not only the charger end was burnt, but also my phone's charging port. I tried to see if another charger could still charge my phone, but to no avail. I had recently been in France and had many pictures on my phone I had not transferred to my laptop. I'm afraid I have lost all those pictures. Today I went to this store at the moment they were opening. I was the only person in the store when I started to explain my issue to the employee. I showed him the burnt end of the charger and explained that my phone's charging port had also been burnt making it nonfunctional. I noticed as I was trying to explain my dilemma to the employee, his immediate response was "It was the wall plug you connected to, we're not responsible for that damage." Not knowing anything about where I had connected to he had already made a determination that their product could not have been defective. More importantly, he was not willing to do anything to help my situation other than, "The most we can do is give you credit for the charger." The employee clearly stated they were not responsible for any damage their charger had caused my phone and the loss of my pics. He had no interest in even researching any possible remedies to my situation. The store had just opened. I was the first customer in the store when I entered. The employee's demeanor was completely unacceptable. If he doesn't care to deal with customer's concerns, he might be in the wrong line of work. I will be pursuing the damages with Verizon corporate office, but his behavior was completely unacceptable. After leaving this store, I drove to the other Verizon store near me (Russell Verizon store, 9967 Sowder Village Sq). The employee, Zain, took a general interest and concern in my situation and took several steps to address my concerns. Ultimately he was unable to provide remedy for my situation. I will follow up myself to provide a solution, but because Zain was willing to look into my concerns, I decided to purchase a new phone since I know it will take time for me to work through the issue. Thank you Zain and shame on the other employee. UPDATE: After posting this review, I was contacted by the GM Andre Clark. He was very apologetic for his employee's demeanor and behavior. He provided me a credit on my new phone and the defective charger. He further provided me a business card and stated if I had any other problems, I could reach out directly to him. Verizon is the true champion of abysmal customer service. Last week was like every call with Verizon. I was transferred through 6 different people + one chat line over the course of 2 hours and still never received resolution to my simple request to be able to see my plan options online. Each scenario was the same: 1) I can't help you because I only a) handle Verizon Connections? b) am tech support but only for password resets c) not my area d) my supervisor says to try the chat line d) chat line says to try another 800 number etc 2) Let me transfer you to someone else - usually random. 3) I hope I provided 5 star service - please complete the survey coming your way! Never did receive help. Never did I receive a survey but today I did find out that one of the random 6 people did sign me up for a new 2 year contract at a higher price without my permission. God I dread getting back on the phone and playing hot potato again but since they offer zero email support....wish me luck! PS - I also told each one of the staff that I was looking to reduce my bill. They listened so well that over half recommended I increase my internet speed by paying more. So friggin sad! read more

I'm always hesitant to give strong reviews of places that people seem to have bad experiences with, but when it comes to retail I find most people tend to review only when they have a bad experience, and the positive gets overlooked. (And some of these reviews are aimed at Verizon Wireless in general, and not this store) I can only Yelp about my experience, and maybe I hit the "jackpot", but my experience here in getting my new iPhone 5s on New Years Day was very positive. I chose this store because it is the only corporate Verizon store in the Manassas area, and I have had mixed experiences with the other non-corporate vendors. We stopped in just after noon and the store was pretty empty. We (my mom and I) were promptly greeted and taken care of. My phone is on the business plan for their business, and I was stealing my sister-in-law's upgrade, so she had to be there for approval. Even though the service rep was notably sick, she supported us superbly and handled everything we needed from transition from one device to the next, including showing proof that all personal data was erased from the old device. (And putting on that damn screen cover - I HATE those things) I did sense some irritation from other customers that were having billing issues, although some with repair issues were handled promptly and professionally. Like most retail, your mileage will vary depending on the rep and the situation, and I can sense some of the other staff here might not give the best customer support. As for me, based on the experience I had yesterday, I'll definitely come back for any other needs with my beloved iPhone 5s. read more

Staff here is incredibly unhelpful and rude. They don't want to help, look angry and irritated when you ask a question, and constantly look constipated. They pass you along from employee to employee, none of whom know any better than the previous. On SEVERAL occasions I have gone there for help and they have immediately directed me to their phones (which are all live and working) and instructed me to call the 1-800 number and speak to a rep. They then quickly walk away from me and try to avoid me at all costs. Seriously? WTF are you there for? I could have called the Verizon 800 number on my own, WITHOUT driving to your store and having you tell me to do it! And believe me, the 1-800 reps are a bunch of crap too. I hate to say it because we always used to go here and liked it but this place is no longer workable. They are a headquarters for Verizon and we live in the same city so we thought it was the best place to go. But since covid I tried and could not even contact anyone. Their website remains down so you cant contact them through there or make an appointment and they do not take phone calls in person ever, all you will ever get is an automated system which tells you to make an appointment but that requires the website and then the other reviewers said you could not even go in and that they gave you a receipt in your car but we needed to trade in our phone for the new iphone 12 and needed Verizon to transfer all the data. It is not an over the phone thing we could do and with no way to reach them at all after trying several times we just read the Gainesville reviews and said forget it we will just go there. So I called the retailer in Gainesville and someone immediately answered and said yes they could do it all and I made an appointment for first thing the next morning and they texted me twice after to confirm and then they said we could even come early so we did and they did everything perfectly. So even though we live in Manassas we will be using the Gainesville store from now on. So the Manassas store has completely dropped in 2020. read more

I've been to this location twice in 3 years and each time have had to leave because of the long wait of at least 45 minutes with less than 4 customers in the store or being forgotten. I think that it's the latter as I have watched the service desk play on the computer and my name never popping up on the screen for assistance. I drive by this place and instead of feeling neutral, I actually feel negative feelings which is a problem to feel that strongly against a business. The manager is really a not so nice person. This may be why the place is run as it is along with lack of training on all of the new phones and services Verizon continually offers. Either way, I save myself the already knowing unpleasant experience and call from home now or go to a store where it may be slightly better. What ever you do, don't go to an "Authorized Verizon Retailer" make sure you come to one of their corporate locations. For over a week I've been trying to downgrade my Verizon service, each time I call I'm told there's a pending account change that we'll have to wait a month before changes can be made. (Again I'm changing service to decrease cost) I've spent 6 hours on cash with Verizon and I've received terrible customer service. I'm fed up and have plans to move to a different provider. Today after. 2.5 hour call I'm told we have to wait for a call back from supervisor on Monday (today is Saturday). Verizon is just as bad as the rest. I've been to this store three times now and all 3 experiences were poor. The first time I went because I was encouraged by the rep on the phone that I was eligible for an upgrade and had been having some trouble with reliability with my older phone. I went in and the kid who was supposed to be helping me was more interested in discussing his planned future business of fashion design. Although he quoted some discount percentages to me for various packages that included phone+case+ charger, he was unable to actually provide me with real costs, even when I asked repeatedly. Ultimately I was able to get the actual costs from speaking with a manager but between the two of them, they still let me leave with a car charger that didn't fit into the phone with the case actually on it so I had to return it the next day to get a charger that fit. Very inferior product knowledge and customer service. On another occasion, I went for some trouble shooting and they damaged my case. I was offered a replacement case at no charge and just accepted it and left. Well yesterday, I went in again because I had been advised to go to this location by the support guy on the phone. I had a brand new phone and case that wasn't working. They were unable to trouble shoot with me on the phone. At the store, the guy took the phone but never looked into my account or called the support team as directed. On top of it, my brand new phone delivered 4 days ago doesn't work as a phone - no one can hear me. The guy at the store pried off my brand new case with a knife leaving a rough edge and then scratched the screen protector. When I pointed out my concerns, he said he couldn't see it and his glasses were in the car and then asked if I wanted him to go out in the rain to get his glasses. Never mind he's working on my phone when he can't see! Although he offered me a replacement case, the selection was terrible and they had nothing I wanted. Now I have a non working phone and a damaged case and will never ever go back to this location. I recommend braving the commute to go the Fair Oaks mall location if you want any quality of support or service. read more

The people working here act like they have an issue speaking to you when you ask for help. I've been with Verizon for 10+ years & have never had a problem. They also told me they couldn't sync my old phone with my new phone because my contacts weren't backed up when I've done it with my old phone with Verizon. I don't recommend going here.
