My iPhone was repaired while I waited on-site; and I dropped my laptop off to be evaluated and ready for pick up within 3 days. The owner, Damon, is service oriented and responsible, unlike the previous owner. I've referred several friends to this business and they've also been very pleased with the services provided.

Then they promised me that another fix would work, so I brought it in a second time, only to be told that they had to order the part, which would be there Saturday. I planned on coming in Saturday, but the part didn't come until Tuesday. They assured me I could come in on Friday at noon and it would be fixed in 1-2 hours. I got a call at 5:15 pm telling me it was all finished, too late for me Friday. So, I came in today, Saturday (my 6th trip to the shop) feeling assured that I had finally reached the finish line. Only to find that, in spite of the Friday evening call telling me it was all ready, that they had not fixed it at all! Very inconsiderate lack of communication. The only redeeming part of the experience is that they gave me a full refund. But, here I am at square one again with a broken computer, after 3 weeks and 6 separate trips to the shop.

I had the model number and all the information and Ryan was able to tell me the cost and how quick he could fix it for us. I said I was going to call around to get prices and repair time and he even suggested a few places, which I felt was very good business practice and made me feel comfortable. So I decided to use him for our repair and called him back to please place the order for the part. He definitely wasn't as friendly on my second call, but I just imagined he was busy. He said we could drop the laptop off anytime and so I asked my husband to do so since he was in the area that day. When he got to the address there was no "Device Doctors" he said there was a cell phone repair shop with that address. He went in and no one was there, which he thought was weird. Eventually was greeted by the cute pup in the photo and then finally Ryan. My husband said that he had very little customer service skills and didn't seem to even realize who he was (despite the fact that I said we would drop off the Chromebook and gave him all of my contact information over the phone,) when my husband said that I had spoken to Ryan. I didn't think anything of it as I thought he was very kind on my initial call. He told us the laptop would be finished on Tuesday (we dropped it off on Friday,) and it was. For some strange reason my voicemail didn't show until the next day. We were able to get a loaner from the school so it wasn't urgent for us to pick it back up. We did however, need to get an invoice for the repair as it was a warranty that we were using to get the repair done. My husband went back on Wednesday and he said no one was there. I tried calling multiple times and just got the voice mail. I finally got a hold of Ryan on Thursday and confirmed the hours and my husband was able to swing by again since he was in the area, and pick it up. However, we didn't get a repair invoice, we only got a Square receipt with the total. Since our warranty plan required a detailed invoice, I called 6 or 7 times trying to get a hold of someone and when I finally got a hold of Ryan on Friday he said he could email me an invoice if I would just text him the information. I did so, and at the end of the day on Friday I still had nothing. At the end of the day on Saturday again, no invoice. By Monday, I tried calling again multiple times and couldn't get a hold of him. I finally text and said that we needed the invoice to be able to submit our claim. And again, provided the details. Let me say this - if you're looking for customer service and you need that more than you need the repair, this isn't your spot. BUT if you need the repair you've been guaranteed for the price you've been quoted, this is it 100%. If I didn't need the detailed invoice, Ryan would have gotten 5 stars, for delivering what I asked for when he promised it. BUT it was a HUGE hassle trying to get a simple invoice to submit my warranty claim. That ran down the stars to a 3 star since it became more hassle than it was worth. We could have used a different shop, waited longer but gotten less hassle in the customer service area. I was disappointed, but I would go here for non-warranty work that I don't need within a specific time frame. He just lacked the customer service and follow up that I needed for my repair.

    My experience here was truly unpleasant and infuriating…read more I stopped in to the Pearl location on 4/27. My phone has a loose speaker grill and the front glass of my phone needs to be replaced, as it is so scratched that the selfie camera is unusable. First off, despite being the only customer in the store, I had to wait ~5 minutes before the clerk came out of the back room. When he finally appeared I asked about the needed repairs, and the clerk said, "Sure I can do that." Then he told me that all he could do for the speaker was squirt some superglue up into the speaker port/grille and that it "might fix the issue but usually doesn't and blocks the speaker. But that's the only thing I can do about that." So the "Sure I can do that" was just a lie. That isn't a repair, that is squirting superglue and hoping for the best. Luckily I managed to stop him before he did it without verifying that I actually wanted him to do it. He quite literally was already reaching for the glue until I said "Well, then I absolutely don't want you to do that." THEN the clerk proceeded to pull out a screen protector box, and began opening it. When I saw him get the screen protector out, I asked him, "Is that a screen protector? Because I actually need the front glass replaced." He didn't stop what he was doing, continued applying the screen protector, and just said, "That's not worth it." Despite the fact that I already explained to him that I had a VERY specific reason for requesting that the glass of the phone itself be replaced. I never requested that he apply a screen protector, in fact I tried to stop him from applying it. He didn't even ask me about the type of screen protector, and installed a matte one. Even if I wanted a screen protector, I never would have selected a matte one, nor would I have applied it on an already heavily damaged screen. And, obviously, the screen protector over the top of the scratched glass does nothing to fix the selfie camera issue. He also installed it without the typical application tool, so the screen protector was misaligned. Frankly it really felt like the clerk simply wasn't interested in doing any actual repair work, and just wanted me to leave so he could go into the back room and chill there again. He was doing anything "repair" he could, as fast as he could, so that he had an excuse to charge me for it, even though he failed to do anything I asked.

I also saw many bad Google reviews about fraud and employees that left the company calling out their actions at the store. I would say avoid if all possible and get to a better reviewed store. I normally don't review non food places, bit this call out needed to be said as they dont have many reviews here in yelp. I have gotten continuously bad service from constant drop calls to losing all my service all together, even with my bill paid up, I will still lose service, signals all the time. Their phones are bottom shelf in a way as they defect real fast and then the company will try to blame it on you and make u pay a deductible on a phone that was factory defective. We stopped in to check out their 55+ program and Avery was well informed and very respectful of our needs and concerns. She explained every detail and all of our questions were responded to in a positive manner. We had been AT&T customers for decades, but in recent times have been less than pleased with their customer service and pricing policies. We immediately saved around $250 a year by switching to the 55+ program currently being offered by T-Mobile. We took advantage of having our car set up for broadband access with t-Mobile's sync hardware. The store manager, Akash immediately set up the hardware and associated software in our car and on my iPhone. He was extremely positive and super knowledgeable, plus an all-around good chap! In addition to basic roadside assistance, one of the benefits of the sync hardware is that you immediately receive recall and service notifications about your car. One of the service notifications we received when the system went active dealt with a particular issue that we had been having with our car and had been unable to pinpoint the exact problem. Because of this feature we now have a solution! Overall, a very positive experience with the crew at this t-Mobile location. We were also fortunate to have the Portland area marketing manager present at the store when we signed up for T-Mobile service. His name is Drake and he was totally awesome!! Had a very keen and vigorous sense of humor and made our entire experience pleasurable and unique.
