Does anyone know the actual phone number to the store and not the general 800 number to Verizon because I want to speak to somebody at that store not a one 800 number I came here and traded in my phone, left the phone there and I was just charged a charge back on my account saying that I never turned in the phone . After I had already gone there one time it was supposed to be easy but they told me it was gonna take longer so I had to leave the location come back the following day after a busy day of baseball and it did take some time, and I was completely fine with waiting, the person there was very helpful. We had a call customer service and get them involved and my trade-in went great or so. I thought when my bill went up more than $340 because of a chargeback!! When I try to contact customer service that is how I find out and I'm a person that has it on auto pay and if I wouldn't have checked that could've just gone through like nothing else and this is how I guess they like taking advantage of people that they assume won't notice. I'm hoping that they make it right because ultimately I'm gonna have to file a police report so that they can go in there and get the footage of the day. Came here cuz I have a return box without a shipping label from them to returning. I have called out to Verizon help desk, they informed me that I can walked in a Verizon store and they can take care of it for me. I gone to the college grove Verizon store was info that it's this Verizon Corporate store will be the one to assist me fully. The guy here help me to print one out. My business zip code is 92101, the city was printed on the shipping label was La Mesa. I had him changed it to correctly shown it. While I was here I decided to buy some protective covers for my business uses of IPads. I shown him the iPads and he still sale me the incorrect accessories...... I had return it the following days for it. I don't like coming back to a store for mistakes. For a corporate office, these mistakes are jokes. I prefer the other Verizon stores. More friendly and caring branches. read more

If I could give zero. I would. They charged my husband 65 dollars for a plastic cover for his iPhone 13. On him. That he did not pay attention to the purchase. When he saw the charge, went back up to them and they said it was already done and wouldn't give him a refund. They gave him some BS about it being lifetime warranty and that all the other plastic covers are on sale were not backed by Verizon, that a good plastic cover does cost $65 or more, very unprofessional and unethical. Very unhappy customers, and will never go back to the store. be aware of what they sell you and the price. When you're in there they talk a lot and very friendly, which I feel is part of their sneaky sale strategy. So now we have a $65 plastic cover for an iPhone and it doesn't even have gold on it. I can't say enough good about Keon at the Grossmont Verizon location! We bought a new phone at another Verizon store, added a new line, and ported a number over from a different carrier. Somehow, in the mix of it all, the original store goofed and both the phone and the existing line were not operable. We literally spent several hours a day over the course of a week on the phone, in chats, and in several different Verizon stores trying to figure out what was going wrong. Each time, we were stuck in an endless cycle of people trying to activate, port, and do 483 other things with the phone and line, all without addressing the actual issue or even listening to us about what was going wrong. We randomly walked into the Grossmont Verizon because we were nearby and it was open later than other stores and Keon IMMEDIATELY knew what the problem was. He gave us his phone number and asked us to text him the next day so he could call the original store and fix the issue for us. Just in case, we did continue calling, chatting with, and visiting Verizon in person, but even when we told them what Keon said the problem was, no one knew what was going on. To say it was frustrating is an understatement. So, this is already a novel... Even in his off time, knowing there would be no compensation or recognition for his efforts, Keon went through the extra work to fix our situation himself. Literally over two dozen Verizon employees later, Keon was our hero! He was SO nice, SO helpful, and really cared about our situation, listening to the problem instead of just handing us off to someone else. Additionally, his store was clean, well-stocked, and overall just a great experience. Even though we pass several Verizon stores between our home and the Grossmont Verizon, we will absolutely be heading there for our future phone needs. My wife and I have been customers of Verizon since the days of Air Touch. Anyone else remembers Air Touch? That's going back y o the 80s! Faithful, loyal customers probably paying way too much for the service we've been getting or rather, not getting! My wife works 12 hour shifts at Scripps in Chula Vista. For the last year or so, we lose complete and total communication intermittently once she arrives at work. However, Verizon's bill texts always arrive, no matter where we're at. At first they told us that they've had a problem with Mexico installing two towers at the border which interfere with their communications. But, other staff at the hospital with the same carrier don't seem to have the same problem! Can it be, that we have a plan that they're trying to get us to change? I don't know! But this review is twofold: First I'd like to hear from anyone else who might be having this problem. And two, based on my experience, I do not recommend this business. We'll be changing carriers as soon as possible! read more

I have been to this location a few times and have had great experiences and just okay experiences. I got a new phone from here and I didn't love the person who helped me who kept walking away and even took their break while my phone was getting set up. That entire experience was just a wreck. I have been here again to change my screen protector after destroying the one I had and had no issues, I was helped quickly and they put the protector on for me. I have also purchased a screen protector online and brought it in and they put it on for me. Overall, everything is good here. It is convenient to come here so I know I will again in the future and hopefully I will continue to have better experiences. read more

I usually do not write reviews on businesses such as these, however, I felt like I had to expressed how amazing the customer services at this particular Verizon always treated us. My husband and I have been going here for quite sometime, but for our conveniences we decided to go to the one in Chula Vista. Well, let's just say, the services are not quite the same. We left there confused, not aware of any promotions, and nothing was answered. Decided to come back to our usually spot, (Grossmont mall) to add a line, it was busy, yet, they were welcoming, extremely helpful, and attentive. My husband lost his phone and a nice stranger turned it into this Verizon store. They immediately contacted me to let me know that his phone has been found. I didn't answer right away so they called the other phones on our plan to try to get a hold of a live person. They kept the phone safely for us until we got someone to pick it up for us. I went in to the Verizon store at Grossmont shopping center. My main reason was to see if the had any senior plans. Right from the beginning there was only one person on the sales floor. So my wife and I had to wait. Then a real smart A** comes out and when he sees us his attitude went in drive. I asked him what they had and you could see he wasn't in the mood to talk to us. I think he must of had a lunch that didn't agree with him. When he found out he wasn't going to get a sale everything got worse. That's all I have to say go in judge for yourself. read more

I did go in towards the end of the night, I had my phone lost (someone has it, it is turned off) I just moved to the area, and my husband deployed today. I attempted to make a replacement claim online and said I needed to call. With no other phone, and new to the area, I drove to the nearest Verizon store. They did tell me if I didn't get a hold of someone, they would need me to leave. I got in touch with an assurion person on the phone. I the agent on the phone the situation, and she informed they should wait until we get the solved. (The phone I needed replaced was no longer in stock and she was working on a solutions for me) I informed Mike, the manager, I needed to leave, while on the phone trying to fix the issues. Clearly costumers don't matter. I have worked for Verizon, and have never asked a costumer to leave when the problem was being fixed. read more

Worst worst worst --most horrific experience ever. I got charged for a phone I never even had for 6 months. They were billing me twice for 1 phone on both my Verizon credit card and on my debt card. Two bills for the same phone.!!!! It's not the people at the stores fault it's all the idiots we call on the phone for customer service ...they keep saying they cancelled my phone that I haven't had for 6 months but they won't.. (don't know how?) now I just got an email that says your service might be interrupted because you didn't pay your bill... well thank goodness -- haven't had the phone for 9 Months!!! As for the double billing on the other phone they can't seem to figure that out even though they said they did.. going to try t- mobile or anything else -- they will never ever be able to figure it out at Verizon.. just cancelled all 3 phones -- let's see how many more bills I continue to get-- idiots!!! Purchased new cel, watch and iPad from Verizon factory store in Santee from a lying representative McKenna. She gave me her business cell number if I had any problems. I called her over 20 times with no answer. New cell phone arrived by mail and followed the instructions to transfer all of my info to the new cell phone. Only the contacts transferred over. Non of my apps or personal info was transferred. Was on phone with Verizon until they gave up and sent me to apple support. Worked with them for hours until they said they thought the new cel was defective and to return to the Verizon store in Santee. Spend hours with them today and received no help. Now I have 2 iPhones. The new one has my number and the old one has all of my personal info and nobody knows what to do. Verizon just doesn't care! read more

I've been with Verizon 23 years now and this 1 star is 100% for the customer service of this store. Ordered a phone couple weeks ago through Verizon and was in stock at this store so arranged to pick up. When I arrived at the store my lucky day I thought maybe one other customer and a bunch of available employees up front. I told one of them what I was there for they asked for my ID and said they would get my phone wrapped up. What happened tho was that he proceeded to go congregate and chit chat with three other employees at the front right in front of us for a few minutes then go to the back bring me my phone and receipt and handed it over. During our time at the store there was not one smiling person or face that looked happy to help pretty much just annoyed we walked in but whatever I got my phone. Issue started a couple days later. Phone was activated on our plan but we started to get emails from Verizon that my phone was ready and it needed to picked up. Couple days past that we got texts from an employee that there was a mistake and we needed to go to store to resolve. I did what I was supposed to as a customer. I am not happy that this store due to their non customer priority and not even apologetic mistake require me to go back to them to fix what they did wrong. read more

Bought a new phone. They sent us home. Gave us a piece of paper on how to transfer over every individual app, etc. we take the new phone home and it doesn't even work. Packed everything up and went to the Verizon store at College Grove. Turns out they sold the phone and never turned it on in their computers. They were awful! Wish we had never gone there! Verizon customer service phone people agree. DO NOT SHOP HERE. We went in to simply add me to my partner's family plan. We walked with away with a "temporary" phone that we did not need which was supposedly on a deal. They didn't charge us for taxes so had to ring us to get us back into the store the same day to avoid a monster charge. Then on the next monthly bill they charged us for this phone plus an insurance plan. Total scam. They were just trying to make some sort of commission target. So shop elsewhere I wish I could give them zero stars read more

WHAT a difference our experience was this year from the last time we bought phones here (years ago)! Marilee, our customer service person, exceeded all expectations! She was kind, patient, and so, so helpful! And, oh my, the trouble she had with our balky old phones while trying to port everything from the old phones to the new ones. I felt so bad for her. Old tech just doesn't play nicely with new, it seems. It took...a couple of hours! But she was patient and persisted until everything was perfect with our new phones. The first time they tried to tell me I was looking in the wrong location according to my area code. I travel for work I was looking in the correct area. Worst experience. Lied and said the monthly charge would be $95 per month for 2 phones. Would not let me see the contract before I signed it. One day later I find out it's $140 per month for 2 phones. Spoke with the manager Keon who said the best he could do is $120 per month. I am filing complaints to the FCC, PUC, and writing about this on social media posts. I am 73 years old, so I believe they think they can take advantage of an older person. read more

Absolute terrible experience. I have been coming to this store for years and have always had stellar customer service. Today, I went in with my girlfriend to inquire about upgrading her phone. Her phone was an older model so we were unsure which phone to choose for the upgrade, hoping for some insight from our rep, Myjah. From the get go, Myjah had a serious attitude problem and could not be bothered to find a pen to walk us through our quote. When we inquired about another version of the phone to compare pricing, she snatched the paper and proceeded to throw her pen on the desk in frustration. She had been arrogant and rude throughout the entire experience and after she snatched the paper from the desk, we walked out the door. Completely rude and disrespectful behavior for absolutely no reason at all. Super unfortunate as the man in the front was courteous and helpful. It's also unfortunate that one bad apple can sour the entire experience and push us to go with a different provider. Absolutely disgusted with Myjah's behavior. We will NOT be back. read more

One star only because there is no zero star option. We have been loyal Verizon customers for 30+ years. I lost my phone a few days ago, so we decided to discuss our options and purchase two new Samsung S21 phones. We were greeted outside the store by a very rude, unprofessional woman. She said, "What are you here for"? My wife answered, "We have an eleven o'clock appointment and have several things we would like to discuss. My husband recently lost his phone and we would like to know if it could be tracked or we could retrieve the info on it through the Cloud - plus we would like to purchase new phones". Her reply was, "I need to know the EXACT reason you made the appointment - was it for lost phones or new purchases and you can do most of that online anyway". We said, "Have a nice day", walked a few steps to T-Mobile where we were warmly greeted. Our questions were answered, we purchased two new phones and switched our carrier to T-Mobile. Good riddance Verizon - you lost two loyal customes. read more
