Great, Mark is back here again. This time as GM. No surprise since he's great. Great Customer service is his middle name. We were enjoying the Spectrum now that things are opening up and we stopped by the Verizon store. I just had a question about the new iPhone 12 I got from Mark at the other Irvine location and here he is at the Spectrum. Mark quickly answered my questions and gave me some tips on using my new phone. Thanks again Mark! Now this will be our go to spot for Verizon and great service. My wife, brother and even my mother and stepfather all have iPhones from Verizon and Mark. read more

BEWARE OF THE SCAM _ STAY CLEAR OF VICRTA_NOT A VERIZON FACTORY STORE "ONLY DEAL WITH VERIZON WIRERLESS LOCATIONS" My iphone 6 took a dump so I walked into what I thought was a Verizon Store. I had bought the insurance for my phone so I asked about the replacement. I was told my deductable was $189.00 and that those refurbished units don't last. Was told I could get that applied towards a discount on a new Phone. I was handed a giant iPhone 8 and told that was the replacement. I asked about my waterproof case. Sales Rep Mikah said, I'll toss one in for free. Then the BS Sales Magic Math was applied. I was charged for the case, tax and set up fee, $147.00. Was told there is a 3 day return policy and a $70 restocking fee and that was it. I wasn't even handed a receipt, was told the printer was down. Since I was in the "no phone panic mode", I took the deal. After getting home and realizing that the phone they sold me wasn't even working properly. I printed out my receipt and reviewed it. No discount, No free case, $810 would be amortized over 24 months for the phone. I called Verizon Wireless Customer service 1(800)922-0204 to discuss what had transpired. Turns out this isn't even a Verizon Store, it's a reseller, hence the name VICTRA. The actual Verizon Wireless phone Rep told me that I was the 3 person he spoke to regarding this type of hype selling. He informed me that an actual Verizon store charges $35 restocking fee and gives you 14 days to return and that my actaul deductable was $89 not $189. I went to return the phone and was treated horribly by Ethan, the most disrespectful customer service I've ever run across. Not only did he charge me the $70 restocking fee, but once I brought up the inconsistencies of Mikal he charged me $20 more for the set up fee. So It cost me $90 to be disrespected and belittle in a public store. read more

This place is a scam. Promised me free cases for both of my new Galaxy's phone's. I ended up getting charged about fifty dollars a case ($100+). I went back to the store to talk to the manager about it once I realized I got hit with the charge, as at the time of purchase the sales person said the extra charge was just tax and activation (said receipt would come by email when I asked originally so did not know at time of purchase he hit me with extra charges), and the manager says the store promised no such thing and that the case is theoretically free because of the $150 rebate I received from Verizon. They also would not let me return the case as at that point it was one week used.... Also huge restocking fees so could not return phone's and buy from a legit place I talked to Verizon corporate about the situation and they were apologetic, but said they had no jurisdiction on a "third party store". My advice is to go to a corporate Verizon store for any of your needs, this place has no benefit and is a scam. read more

This review is a bit overdue. I went into Verizon on Sunday to switch out my old iPhone for the new Xs. Korbin helped me transfer everything over and helped with accessories too. What normally is a long and annoying process was made easy and enjoyable. Thanks Korbin you were amazing! read more

Ok - Normally only think of reviews when things go bad but this one is quite the opposite. I went to the Verizon store with my family today (honestly dread the thought ) but the service I received was 2nd to none. I came in with a list of issues and needs that I only guessed would be deflected by whomever I spoke too - not the case. The woman (Ashley G? ) was not only patient with my requests she went out of her way to look at all the options that were available to me. I am a business account holder with Verizon and in the past have had some issues with help (i.e. on weekends business clients can't get customer service help??) but today's interaction makes me know there is no where else my business needs to be. Thank you Ashley - you made our day. (And I literally cannot stand phone stores typically!!:):) kudos to companies that find employees like her. Also - I somehow went in for a possible new phone, and left with a new iPhone, ipad and an Apple Watch ... so obviously she can do her job! Haha Thanks again. read more

Quick and easy! My husband was looking for a specific car charger that has a USB port and this store did not have it. Otherwise they were right about the car charger we bought was fast indeed! Up 48% in 7 minutes! read more

My husband and I came into this store in hopes of getting a good deal for the "Mother's Day buy one get one free sale". Which of course turned out to be a SCAM that led us to believe that Verizon was going to "take care" of rest of the remaining balance of our old phones with our other service as long as we went with the deal. (Not to mention they kept throwing in "free" gear like phone cases and extra chargers even though we were already paying an arm and a leg for their service and were told that we were "only paying tax" for the extra products) Long story short, we got a bill that took $300 + out of our personal bank account stating that Verizon didn't cover the remaining balance as we were promised... And when we confronted them about it they had stated that "they never documented the conversation" so they "couldn't" cover the balance. My husband and I approached the matter nicely but the employee and manager have been responding in such utterly rude tones that I'm truly disappointed in Verizon and their customer service at store front. Kevin was the employee who originally stated that all we have to do is "pay the first Verizon bill and and then Verizon will handle the rest." His manager, Ethan, has not bothered to question his employee's verbal confirmation because of the many years Kevin has with Verizon. Talking to these pathetic and rude employees is like talking to a wall. What happened to customer service?? After all, they are the face of the corporate company... Anyways, I spoke with a corporate agent later on and they said the employees at stores are usually only in it to up-sell customers and get their commission! The agent also stated that this matter IS indeed Verizon's responsibility to configure with the other company in terms of how they would cover the old phones and that wouldn't have been something for an employee at the store to confirm. ** PRO TIP: NEVER GO IN STORE FOR CONFIGURATION, CALL THE SERVICE NUMBER ON THE APP TO SPEAK WITH A REAL VERIZON AGENT** read more

My family and I went to this Verizon because they were the only location with the iPhone pro max 512gb. When we walked in, all the associates were helping other customers so we waited patiently. While we were waiting not a single person said hello, or acknowledged us. 10 minutes later, one of the associates finished with her customer and instead coming over and saying hello or asking us if we needed help, she walked over and started chatting it up with another other customer that was already being helped by another associate. I understand that everyone was helping someone when we walked in, but is extremely difficult to say, hello? And acknowledge our presence and let us know that someone will be right with us? We're not asking for a free handout, we're looking to spend a nice chunk of change on a new phone and this is terrible customer service. I plan on taking my business elsewhere. Don't come here unless you want to be ignored. read more

Very good experience. Walked in and was immediately seen to by Zach who walked me through the entire process of upgrading my phone. He was very knowledgeable and took time to show me features and shortcuts surely above and beyond what he needed to. There were even other customers in the store and the same time and Zach was able to seamlessly help everyone without a wait. Very pleasant experience. I wish all Verizon stores were like this one. read more

Absolutely WORST customer service ever. First off, you are on hold for long wait times to even speak to someone at the store. I have been waiting on a credit for 5 months and Mark (the general manager) has yet to successfully issue the credit. He has left me 2 voicemails advising the credit will be issued however it's July and still not on my account. Spoke to the manager Damian today who advised he was too busy to get back to me this morning. Called back with a (19 minute wait by the way) and spoke to Damian again and he said he would call me back in an hour and never called back. The WORST customer service from Mark and Damian. Will absolutely advise others of this experience with Verizon!! Completely unprofessional!!! read more

I did contact the corporate, as the owner response suggested. The corporate said they are refusing to issue a refund. Contacting the corporate did not bring any resolutions to my complaint. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs! Walked into this store three different times with my wife with the intention of switching off T-Mobile to Verizon. First time the rep gave us bad information on what we would get if we switched. Second time a different rep couldn't help us (she kept stating she worked at a different store) and recommended we come back today (9/30) to speak with a manager. We walked in today and no one acknowledged us. They weren't even busy. We sat down and waited 40 minutes and no one helped us. They helped other people who walked in after us! We gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried three times to become a Verizon customer. We wasted a total of about two hours over three different days. I would highly recommend you run away from this place because it seems like they can't be bothered to do their job. read more

My review will mimic those of every other negative view on here....Went in there as I was unaware that this was not a corporate store anymore (signage does not indicate it is an authorized reseller). They flat out lie to you! Not to mention, I even made a comment about it not looking like the "Verizon store" and they said "yes, we remodeled" and that was it!! never said 'well ya, because now we are not a Verizon store anymore" My visit started when I went in to make a change to our plan and to upgrade my phone. They brought out this worksheet (ya know, like they ones they use at a car dealership) and they started by telling me that I am going to be saving $400 a month on my new plan....I should have ran away then because how could I possibly save more than I was every spending in the first place??? Since I was upgrading my phone to a new iPhone I told them I do not want a case or screen protector and initially they said OK. But then after 30 minutes, he told me "why don't you just pick out a phone case and screen protector because (and I quote) he was "throwing them in for free". Thinking it was labor day weekend, maybe this was a sale verizon was offering for its customers (they do have sales occasionally). Come to find out, they used my "credit" for my old phone to purchase a $50 phone case I could have ordered on Amazon for $15 (no lie, EXACT same case) and a screen protector for $50 (which is also 3 for $10 on Amazon) and I NEVER WANTED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE! When I question my total due after doing some quick math to figure out WTF just happened, he proceeds to tell me that I could ONLY use my old phone credit in the store. Had I known that in the first place, I would have walked my butt down to the apple store and 'recycled' my phone there for $100 in apple credit (btw, the new apple store at the spectrum is AMAZING!) Called Verizon and got some of it sorted out but WHAT A WASTE OF TIME and money! Also, they tried to get me to take the "2 free tablets" that would cost me nothing...I had to argue for 30 minutes on why I didn't want that or the HUM device and now after reading these reviews, I'm so happy I was able to channel what I learned in 6th grade DARE class and 'Just Say No'!!! I guess I was 100% correct when I told him "I highly doubt Verizon is just giving away tablets for absolutely free". At one point, he actually tried to convince me that I should just take them and "raffle them off to my employees" LOL After reading these reviews, I will say that I am happy to know I was not the only one scammed in this deal....At first I was feeling pretty stupid about myself for falling into this trap and somehow feel a little better after reading the reviews that I'm not alone. I saw another review saying to call the Spectrum Retail number and I will do that....I will also be posting my review on some Facebook group pages in regards to this location as a public service announcement to try and stop them from scamming others! read more

SCAMMMMMMMMM.... They add things to your bill, tell you it's "FREE", And charge the full price without telling you. And once you try to return the items they don't take responsibility and refuse to refund you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

After 3 months of outrageously high bills we came back into the store to see what was the cause of such a high bill. Micah had promised our bill would drop significantly after 3 billing cycles. The manager Ethan simply stated that he may have "Mis-quoted" us. He was able to magically lower our bill, but not able to explain the cause of our initial monthly cost. Ridiculous retail antics swindling people into shit they don't need with a promise of a discount. Won't be back to this store... read more

Beware! I am still in shock regarding the blatant lies we were told to our face. We went in to increase our data line, and was greeted by Nick S. He told us we would get 2 new phones, and decrease our data plan cost over 2 years. We spent two hours there and asked endless questions. Each and every answer was a lie. He had an excuse for every time we questioned his math. I don't understand how Verizon can give its employees the authority to lie and defraud its customers. As we were leaving Nick stuffed 10 items into a bag that I said I DID NOT WANT. He reassured me it was all FREE. He charged cases, 4 screen protectors, Bluetooth Hubs, insurance on the Hubs, insurance on the chargers...$718 worth of items we did not want, but he swore was free! When we asked what the $718 charge was for, he told us over and over again that it's just taxes on the phone and one time like charges! I learned the next day when we had to untangle the mess that these employees are paid a commission so it is in their interest to trick you into walking out with items you didn't ask for. We called Verizon the mess, and they recommended that we ask for an itemized bill- that was how we were able to get to the bottom of the deceit. Shocking!!!! read more

I had the pleasure of being helped by Mike at this Verizon store last night right before closing time. Mike was very pleasant and knew the range of products I needed right away. He made me feel important, he was professional, and at the same time able to help others in the store too, also making them feel special. He greeted my daughter and I with a smile and we left the store in the same manner. Not once did he make us feel rushed, as I did not even realize we were in there past closing time. Next time I need Verizon items and am in the Spectrum area I will definitely ask for him! read more

I bought 2 phones from a different Victra store in Alhambra. (I wrote a separate review for that particular store.) I had a hell of a time over there and the Alhambra store didn't want to help me. They kept brushing me off that their manager wasn't in. I came back to this Spectrum store to see if they can help me fix the crap that the other store messed up. They called the Alhambra store and figured out that the manager was in and they were lying. I had a great experience at this store a few years ago, which made me come back to this one rather than the other Verizon stores in Irvine. Ethan, the manager, was super helpful. He helped me return a phone, cancel a line, and take back the accessories that the other store scammed me to buy. The only thing that couldn't be done was to revert my plan back to my grandfather plan. I had to call corporate to do that. read more
