The front end manager greeter is rude and not very pleasant. We came into the store with our phones that we had purchased the day before but needed some help again to set up the voicemail. Yesterday the sales rep, Adam, was really nice and patient and explained everything slowly and clearly. We appreciated Adam very much because we are Senior Citizens and needed this a few times. Today when we arrived, we asked to see Adam but he wasn't there. So the greeter or front door manager tried to assist us. He acted like he was doing us a big huge favor and didn't even ask us to sit down. (We both have canes). Anyway, he finished the first part of the task to assist with the ringer. So due to the fact that no one else was in the store we asked if he would help to set up the voice mail box. He absolutely refused and said that they don't do this. It appeared that he wanted to rush us out of the store. There were two more techies in the back and he could have asked one of them to help but NO!!! It appeared that he just wanted us to leave at once. Not too friendly. Nuff said!!! read more

I've used been using Verizon for over 20 years and I've never been so disappointed with them. 10 days after I upgraded my phone it stopped working. I called and was told to go to the same store to have them correct it. I did and all they did was switch to my other SIM car. Then I saw that my phone bill was very high and when I called again I was told what was on my account. There where things that where on my account that I didn't ask for and when I called they told me that they will correct it but never did. I've called a few times to get this resolved and nothing. I finally got ahold of a supervisor and he told me that they will remove what I did not authorise and they did. I explained to him that I've been paying for something that I didn't want so I asked to speak with upper management. No one was working in upper management over the weekend and I was told that someone will be calling my in the next 2-3 business day. I never received a call back like they didn't care at all. So today I saw that my phone bill went up and when I called they told me sense I told them to remove it that I was charged to remove it. Really I never wanted what they put on my bill in the first place and now they are charging to remove it. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they told me that someone will be calling me back today so I can talk to them. I got no call back. This issue has been going on sense I upgraded my phone. So thinking about it they have been charging me for something that I never wanted in the first place and I've told them this sense my upgrade and nothing was done about it. So Verizon has been stealing from me by not changing my account. All they offered me was we will remove the charge for telling them to remove what I didn't want in the first place. I'm a plumber and if I did this to a customer I would be fired!!! Verizon doesn't give a shit on what they did. I'm to the point to call my attorney on this matter to get back what Verizon took from me and my family. 20 plus years I've been with them and this is what I get a big FU. My wife and I went looking for new phones to replace old Samsungs. A young cheerful and lovely woman offered upgrades to new plans and expensive phones, even though we said we were happy with our current plan. The only phones offered were $700 and $800, and the salesperson did not seem very knowledgeable about the hardware. It was all about upgrading our plan. So we were quite disappointed. On our daughter's recommendation, we went to Best Buy and had a wholly different experience. No hard sell and a very good listener who understood perfectly what we were after. Went to this store as I was having problems with my phone shutting down constantly and resetting. Andrew helped me out at first doing a master reset but that didnt work, so he ordered a new phone under warranty. The new phone came the next day and I went in there and Andrew handled all the tech stuff of transfering all my data from the old phone to the new one. I was to get my replacement phone today and it did not arrive. I tried calling the store but no one answers and it goes to Verizon central. i called three times waiting over 20 minutes each time to find out that no one could help figure out what was going on. after waiting for a response I finally hung up each time What a waste of time poor customer service. This will make me think twice before I use Verizon again. I am going to store tomorrow to hopefully sort this out but again WHAT a waste of time and energy to run this down. I had some complications with the the Edge Program. So as I went in to the store I was greeted by an apathetic manager (she was asian, forgot her name). She asked me what she could do to help. Immediately she said she couldn't be of much help. I stated to her that an associate that i talked to said that I can upgrade early. She just pointed at the seats and said you can do the phone calls over there. I was frustrated at the fact that she didn't help me and second of all the music was way to loud to conduct any type of business. The manager (as aforementioned above), was dancing and looking at her Facebook and didn't even bother to try to ask me how things were going. My case was complicated enough already and i thought the noise distraction was a bit excessive. Finally I got through on the phone with the verizon representative, and let me say this, I was appalled that both associates were talking shit in front of me. I dont know what warranted the MANAGER of the store to do this type of thing, but it really insulted me as a verizon customer. I am very displeased with the service here, If you can conduct Verizon business elsewhere then please do. I spent an hour and 30 minutes wishing i could go some other branch. I've been here a few times, and those experiences have been okay. I mean you'll get your usual sales person who will try to get you to buy everything in the store but as long as you aren't easily suckered, you'll be okay.. However my recent (and last -__-) visit here was to return a car charger, I just realized I didn't need it and it had a 14 day return policy so I wanted to return it sooner then later. I don't know if this is still how the store is being run, but apparently you have to sign up on a waiting list once you enter the store to be helped by the next available verizon rep. The lady (who was the manager of the store) was having people sign up was and at first I kiiind of understood that whole idea of having people sign up, then wait to be helped, and then realized what a terrible idea it was. Literally everyone there needed help on some personal account question that took forever and ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS RETURN MY CHARGER!! I even asked the manager if she could do the transaction for me b/c she wasn't helping anyone and wasn't doing anything (seriously, she was walking around with an ipad...) and she said No. Okay so I waited some more. What annoyed me the most was that after I told her that I was on a time crunch and waiting 45min for a 3min process was ridiculous, she pulled someone from the back to help me, then literally a minute later I SEE HER HELPING SOMEONE ELSE. WHY. WHY DO YOU DO THINGS LIKE THIS. Honestly I've never been so frustrated at a poorly managed store. If you're the female manager and reading this, you really suck as a person in a managerial position and I feel sorry for the rest of the store employees to have to deal with your ridiculous shenanigans. Possibly the worst Verizon store I have ever been to. When I used to not have a car at UCI, I was constrained to going to this one because it was close and my friends could give me rides. Pro: - when you walk in, they welcome you and help you put your name on the board. CONS: - I have waited anywhere from 30 minutes- over an hour JUST to be addressed after my name is on the board/tv - I have gotten entire contact books deleted twice. - good luck finding parking. - I have had issues and the worker has not known what to do, and basically calls *611, which I could have done in the comfort of my own home without waiting around forever. - I have encountered "technicians" who very obviously do not know how to operate a smartphone. ..the same technician who was incapable of navigating through my smartphone tried to sell me a phone whose features were inferior to the one I had at the time, saying "it would be easier if you had this...and, oh, look, one of your lines is eligible for an upgrade."...really? I came here hoping they could just help me activate my new phone. Had to wait an hour only for them to say they couldn't help me because i wasn't the main owner of the account even though me using my current phone with the matching phone number was clear evidence that I was part of the family plan. Also the employees showed their annoyance with me toward me even though I simply asked for a simple phone activation and I had all my information ready. Ask for Jessenia for the extra rude service. Verizon tries to control the customer sale instead of letting you go to an Apple store. Their little store looks cheesy compared to an Apple Store, but if you want an on-site replacement or Verizon Edge phone upgrade they make you go to their store. Web site doesn't tell you that you can pre-order online. If you lose your phone as I did they also tell you different stories via corporate call center vs. retail store on being eligible for Edge. Then you get to the store. Clearly people here are not well paid, not happy employees and it shows with customer service. Switching away from Verizon to Sprint, T-Mobile or AT&T and then going to the Apple Store when I need a great customer experience. ** update ** After writing this review, I went to my browser and onto www.apple.com, ordered my iPhone 6 Plus on the web and it was ready for pickup in the Apple Store in.....7 MINUTES! And I switched to Sprint. Less money than Verizon Edge for the device and for the new service. Why does Verizon have rude staff, multi-hour or multi-day wait and I can do this over the Internet via Apple in minutes? It makes way too much sense that's why. As I write this I notice that most of the reviews are 1 star. Figures... Anyway, I've been a long-time Verizon satisfied customer. Great help by phone, but I am shopping for an upgrade and decide to come to this Irvine (Michelson) store. This store is always busy, but there are always a lot of sales people. I waited for about 10 minutes thinking someone would free up and help me. Eventually a salesperson finished with his customer and I asked for his help with a new phone. He said there was a list and began putting me on the list. So why do I find out about the list after I have been there 10 minutes waiting patiently? There was no indication anywhere that I noticed about a list. OK, fine whatever... I was at least now on the list, and only two people ahead of me. Another 10 minutes goes by and no one helps me. Surely I had to be next on the list by now. A petite girl with long dark hair appears to be free. I ask her for help, but she says she is busy helping her last client finish up some work for someone that has already left the store. I though it was a little rude that she didn't care to let me know if I was next and didn't care to help me find an available sales rep. She had the list of people up on her screen with what looked like only two names on it and she didn't even have the common sense to ask me my name or give me any indication on how much longer I would have to wait (a definite B). But what really bothered me was that there was really no one managing the list. The main screen near the seating area did not display the list of names and no one was calling out names or anything, If I had just continued to stand there waiting, it seemed like nobody would have bothered to ask me my name to see if I was next. At that point I left. I will never return that to that store again and I am also now looking at T-Mobile for my next contract. I am self-employed and have had some very large bills along the way for my business and family and have spent $5,000+ (due to overages) during the past 12 months, but I have always justified it based on service and solid network. Until Verizon appreciates their clients a little more, I'm going to try out another cell carrier. DO NOT BOTHER VISITING THIS STORE. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. Here is my experience with them after 3 separate visits. First time, I was trying to find out more about the Edge program. I went in and was helped by this guy who seemed to be decently knowledgeable about the program. When we got to talking about my family plan's data usage, he told me that I was using 3 out of the 4 GB monthly data on my phone, which I knew to be false since I'm always on WiFi. Me: No I don't think that's right. I always check my phone usage monthly and I never even hit the 1 GB mark. Him: No you're using more than 2GB. Me: But I- Him: No, you're using more than 2GB. Me: Is it my family combi- Him: No. Me: So you're sa- Him: Yes. YOU are using 2gb. He literally wouldn't even let me finish my sentences. It was as if the possibility that his statement was wrong was just inconceivable to him. Of course, after checking my data usage, I was at 0.5 GB ot of 4. So, extremely condescending to customers AND incompetent? Check. Visit two: My Galaxy S5 stopped taking a charge after less than 2 months of use. I went into the store at about 8:30pm. The rep helping me did a whole bunch of checks, and couldn't figure out the problem. So we decide to order a new one. He takes literally *30 minutes* to do this order, after which he tells me that the phone has been shipped to my mom's address in Pennsylvania. I realized later that he had forgotten to change the address, but he LIED to me and said that they at the store weren't ABLE to change the address, and that I had to call customer service the next day to get it changed. It was absolutely clear that he did NOT know what he was doing. and on top of that LIED to cover up his mistake. Incompetent and deceitful? Check. Of course calling the next morning and speaking to two separate people, both of whom assured me that the address has been changed, didn't do anything and the phone is still on it's merry way to PA. So I come in and ask to order another one. A different rep helps me this time, and after each question he asks me, he gets up and goes to talk to his manager for 3 minutes before coming back. The whole time I was there he spent about 5 minutes actually sitting with me and the other 25 talking with his manager, asking how to do every.little.step. In the end, he got his manager to change the address, but then forget to apply the overnight shipping that they had promised me. Further incompetence and irresponsibility toward customers? Check. Bottom line, if you know exactly what you want, give this place a shot. If you have ANY sort of question that isn't as basic as "how much data do I have" or "what is a smartphone", don't count on these people to know jack about it. read more

When I have done it 3 times in my past. Never again will I deal with this place.. the Manager was even worse when they decided to talk about it in front of me as if I wasnt there. Came back when his screen broke and they refused to acknowledge that they sold us Apple Care, so we couldn't get Apple to replace the phone. This Verizon store, shall we say lacks the intention of helping and guiding them through the process. I worked with Eric, signing up for the new Galaxy S4 and moving from Sprint and paying a termination fee thinking it would be my best bet. Well, I needed my numbers ported. He promised this would take anywhere from 4-72 hours. (He didn't even start the port in which I had to call in and have it done) He persuaded me into the bundle deal for $299.99 with a $50 MIR by saying they will not charge me an activation fee + $15 credit to make that bundle free. (There was still the activation fee and no $15 credit). I had to have this covered via the phone and after speaking with Erin from their CS team I was to get a call back from a supervisor by EOD. That didn't happen. I called in the next day and spoke to Gayle and she helped me out. I will say that their phone/chat customer service is exemplary and I don't regret moving to Verizon but I do however regret going to this store. read more

I got 3 of my upgrades from this location ... so that would be about 6 years that I've been coming to this store. I've visited lots of other Verizon stores in the Irvine area and this one always comes through on all my technical questions and upgrade questions. The wait it kind of long during peak hours. I went in at 11am and there was no one. But by lunch time this place gets packed. Weekends are pretty busy too. So plan accordingly. The reason I prefer this store for my upgrades is I get what they say I'm going to get. No surprises, not hidden charges. Trust me, there's plenty of charges that Verizon HQ slaps on ... the stores have no way of avoiding these charges ... so you WANT to know these BEFORE you sign another 2-year contract. This store is not as big as the one in the Spectrum, so if you are looking for a big store to explore and play I would recommend that one. But service wise, I get what I paid for. A good phone, contacts transfers over properly, service, and technical help if I need it. Some times I'm suspicious if everything is going to happen the way they say. Like the one time my Droid Incredible refused to stay powered on and they said they'll mail me a new one in the mail and then they told me to come back so they can help me set up the new phone. I thought this was way too easy. But it happened like they said. I got the new one in the mail, brought both in and they transferred my contacts over. Also I'm the type that asks a lot of technical questions before I purchase and I like to see things in writing before I sign. This location is quite patient with all my requests. Do they have ALL the answers ALL the time? Nope. For example, I wanted a 32GB Galaxy S3 but they don't have it in stock. The rep said a 16GB is good and just put in a memory card. Well it turns out all APPS from the Google app store MUST BE stored on the internal 16GB for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and can't be stored on the memory card. DUH!! The only things that can be stored on the memory card are videos, pictures, music, etc media stuff. Now I wish I got the 32GB. Oh and I asked other Irvine stores the same question about the 16GB vs 32GB and they all gave me the same answer. But I knew from experience and online research that 32GB is still the way to go if you like to download apps. However I would have to wait weeks before the 32GB comes in. It's a give and take and I knew that before I signed up for the 16GB. Bottom line, I do my research before I purchase and get myself locked in for another 2 year contract. And I give credit where I can and I have to say this location does a pretty good job. read more

Stopped by Verizon's store today and asked for help with transferring data from one iPhone to another. Since I'm not really familiar with this process, I asked a Verizon employee by the name of Bryan to do it for me. Bryan's reply was: "Not gonna happen." Yes, this is EXACTLY what he said, "Not gonna happen, you should do it yourself." I wonder who trained Bryan to tell a customer "not gonna happen..." I informed Bryan that I was Verizon's customer since 1989 (!) and expected him to do this for me, but I was told that it was against company policy, which is not true according to Verizon customer support representative to whom I talked on the phone later. There service sucks, the employees are rude and lazy. I went there on a slow thursday morning for a simple service and was turned away due to the employees lack of energy. This place is a disgrace to Verizon and negatively impacts Verizon's reputation. Honestly I have been with Verizon forever, and am now considering switching to a network that hires people who actually care to service their customers. Jax gave me excellent customer service all around! Unfortunately, after purchasing two brand new phones yesterday, I had a complete nightmare setting them up myself. I came into the store very frustrated and not really knowing what to expect next after yesterday, however, she went above and beyond to give me excellent customer service and to double check that everything was downloaded quickly to my phone and also took the time to write out what my next couple bills would look like and invited me to come back in to the store so that she can go over the first bill. WARNING! They will not honor the 14 day exchange policy if the phone gets broken during that time and you replace it with a brand new insurance phone. I dropped my Galaxy right before going in to exchange it for a Razr MaxxHD. They said to get a replacement phone from insurance and gave me the impression I could then exchange it like normal. So I was surprised when I entered the store with the brand new phone and they said NO, they will not exchange it now. Their reasoning is that it's not the EXACT same phone, and they can't be bothered to change some numbers in the computer. They stood in the store and told me I had to keep the S3 and buy an extended battery if I wanted more juice. If you're not sure you want to keep a phone yet do NOT let anything happen to it. Buy a kevlar case for it and keep in an air tight container. read more

I went in here on a Sunday right after they opened at like 1120. Friendly staff at door and clean location. All the staff looked happy and friendly. I guess I got lucky according to past reviews by getting Sean. He is a great guy. His service, kindness, and calmness got this place 3 stars. Besides this I didn't like being jerked around. I was about half way through my 2 year contract when I dropped my iPhone 5s in a cup of coffee. I tried rice and everything but it was bad. I had a basic phone on our family plan that has been due for an upgrade. So I was hoping to use that. First chat with Sean he told me they could shave off $200 and I would pay like $500 for the iPhone 6 and start a new 2 year contract. I wasn't too thrilled about this so he went back "to talk to his manager" and came out and said he could do a bundle where I get the iPhone and a tablet with accessories for $400 out the door, but pay like $10 more a month for the service. Again I wasn't too happy. He goes back to his "manager" and comes out and says, "we can upgrade your basic line and get you the iPhone 6 with accessories and start up fee for $220 out the door. So I was like perfect! What I originally wanted but about 45min later. Great guy, seemed content but I know they get pressure to rip us off even more to get more money. -2 stars for being Verizon! read more

Amazing customer service! I was greeted by a friendly face and friendly fast service. I waited for a total of two minutes! Amazing, since typically at other locations I have been to take more than 15-20 minutes. I was handed off to a retail sales representative by the name of Matt O. He was more then happy to help me and had a smile the whole time. I know personally I can be quiet difficult and he handled it like a champ. I needed to know more about my phone which I'm totally not iPhone savvy by any means. He was very understanding and define fly went above and beyond any service I have ever received at a Verizon location. So I want to thank you Matt O for going above and beyond with a difficult person. I was even able to swap my cell phone cover for a better one without there being any price difference. read more

Kudos to Jawan Hughes, amazing customer service! my Samsung S4 started acting weird after new android download, and i needed help backing up before doing a factory reset. Walked in after work one evening, was warmly greeted by Jawan who expertly counseled me on what needed to be done and offered to do it for me. Took about 15 minutes, during which he helped solve a bunch of other problems that I didn't even think were solvable. Buying another Samsung for hubby in January and I will be asking for Jawan by name, he was so helpful, professional, courteous, and a joy to work with. Woohoo to Jawan. Candace was astoundingly patient with my young son's questions, and helping us find the perfect package for his new phone. He was so excited! She even helped me out with some billing questions and setting up an Apple account for him. On top of that, Google also happened to be glitching when she helped me set up a gmail account for my son-- but she remained so calm, so good -humored about it all.
