I've had an ongoing issue within my personal life that has caused a few frustrations with my different accounts (xfinity, pg&e, and Verizon). The person who was the primary account holder of all these accounts left without warning and without transferring them to me. (He even left me to take care of two dogs who were in his name in the licenses and adoption papers.) The paperwork for everything has been a struggle and a major source of frustration all around for a long time now. I've spent two years trying to contact him and have him trade the accounts to me because I wasn't sure what else to do. Finally, after months of him assuring our mutual friend (who has been stuck in the middle of all this) that he would do it, I decided enough was enough. You can imagine my relief when Rachel was able to fix my account problems, maintain my phone number (my major concern), and swap me to my own account with only myself as the account holder. I also ended up upgrading my phone while I was there! She listened to my complicated situation, had a solution ready for me, and explained everything without confusing me or making me feel stupid. She was extremely kind and informative. She probably could have just as easily called it a lost cause and tried to get me to switch to a different phone number/account, something that would've been easier for her and far less time consuming. But instead she respected my choice and called around to find the right department to handle the transfer. It means a lot to be treated as a person. She also took the time to explain the different iPhones and helped me decide which one to upgrade to without pushing for the more expensive one. I ended up with the 11 Pro and I'm very happy with it so far. The picture quality is far beyond what I was taking on my old 8. When you're dealing with something as important as this, you want to make sure your accounts and phone are in safe hands. Thank you Rachel for spending the time with me to figure this out and for all your help! It was invaluable and a major relief. I highly recommend coming here if you have any questions or concerns, want to set up an account, upgrade your phone, etc. It was a really positive experience. read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Sales associate was dishonest, inept, and unprofessional. They seemed nice, but clearly a sales ploy. I had to spend 90 minutes on phone with Verizon to undo incorrect updates to my account entered by store associate. There is also no manager at this location to oversee staff and correct errors. Save yourself from being overcharged and shop somewhere else. read more

Amazing service - Mike was great and incredibly helpful. Can't recommend this place highly enough

Chris was incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! He helped us out three times over the last couple weeks. Getting new phones and helping advise on which plan suited us best. Highly recommend read more

I had the most great experience thank you so much to Chris i had issues with my phone I had gone to a repair shop first and they weren't able to help me out so I went to Verizon here in Davis and Chris made my day I had told him about my issues and what was going on and few minutes later he told I was able to upgrade and trade in my old phone that wasn't working for a brand new one. Everything was quick and easy the customer service was on point he was helpful throughout the whole thing. Thank you, so much Chris 5 out 5 I give you a 10 such a great turnout truly helped out. Highly recommended Chris read more

I called pretty early in the day to ask if the phone I ordered for pick up was going to be ready for pick up today or tomorrow since I was coming out of town. They said it would be today- it was. I got the text at 5:45 saying it was ready for pick up. The email I got and online it said they close at 7 so I drove 45 minutes to Davis and got there at 6:40pm only for them to be closed. Not only did I waste 45 minutes of my time to drive there then another 55 minutes back home because of traffic but I wasted gas which is really irritating. Now I have to drive once again another 45 minutes there and back tomorrow. Never doing business there again. read more

I don't usually write very many reviews about stores, but yesterday I had an experience that was so above and beyond I knew I had to write a review. I had ordered a brand new Samsung S 20 from the Samsung website. When I got it, the phone was an absolute disaster. Samsung wouldn't stand behind it at all. I got to the point where I needed a phone Because the S 20 wasn't usable. That is a story for another day...But suffice it to say I was pretty upset and desperate. So yesterday I went into Verizon looking for a new phone. I really wanted to flagship phone with an excellent camera. I have been an android person since they made them. I was very hesitant about anything else. When I went to the store, I met Rachel. She was incredible. She basically gave me the pros and cons of switching from android to the iOS operating system. She was not trying to just sell me. She seem to really care that I would be happy. Ultimately I realize that the iPhone was probably the best choice. She set up my phone for me and gave me tips on how it worked. She is such an incredible employee and I so wish that I had initially bought my phone from the store instead of from the manufacturer. I won't shop anywhere else anymore! read more

This is the best customer service I have received at any Verizon Store over the past 10 years. Darius Johnson has excellent customer service skills and he really cares. Wish I came across more people like him. We will definitely be back read more

Chris helped me out a ton when it came to picking out what phone was going to work out the best with my upgrade. He was very patient and helpful as well as great conversation. I wish every sales associate had his attitude. Thanks chris! - Malik read more

I dread cell phone stores. But my life is so busy, going into the store is the best and most thorough strategy. I made an appt with Darius today, it was the best cell store service experience I've had in the *ahem* years I've been using mobile. He called to check in, I was busy at work- so he sent a quick text, I was able to respond and he helped me figure out every step we needed, the appropriate information exchange in order to make this a breeze. I was in the store *15 minutes*!! And Darius was awesome, professional and just personal enough to not make the necessary 15 mins of chit-chat awkward and weird. Thank you all! read more

I came to this Verizon location because we needed a new wireless provider. What I found was great service with a personal touch. They really care about their customers here. Darius Johnson (one of the Sales Representatives) went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was happy with the service I was getting. He must have spent 2-3 hours with me getting everything to work right. He's awesome. If you are looking to switch to Verizon, I'd highly recommend going to this Verizon location and asking for Darius! Thanks again! read more

Chris was a rockstar in helping me get set up with my new phone. I came here to upgrade my old phone from an iPhone XR to a 13 pro. He had great answers to all my questions and had some very useful pointers going forward with my new phone. Extremely satisfied with the service, would highly recommend. read more

My phone went under water and was bricked, had to get a new phone a few months back. The guy who helped me at this location was good at troubleshooting issues, but was the worst at sales...he knew nothing about the phones they offered, he couldn't be bothered to give me more info than the company line on service options, and was less than no help on a case for the one I chose (Incipio, ich), which has turned out to be a major hassle. I still like Verizon and I'll stick with them, but I won't go to a Victra store again. read more

These guys are a joke. First they set us up with the wrong phones 128g when we want 256 then they ordered the wrong screen protectors then we had to make another trip back because they failed charge the wrong sales tax read more

"Salesman A" came to me when I walked in and put my name into their que to be helped "next" he said. Ok but after helping the customer that was there when I walked in, three customers were helped after he was done with the first one before me. Then "Salesman A" approached a lady that just walked in the door and started talking to her about her return. Wtf am I chopped liver?! I only had a quick "My phone is not giving me internet". Then "Salesman B" came to update my phone, while that was taking place he was helping other people but there should be something put into place where he needs to come back to me when the phone finished updating. I shouldn't have to wait even longer than I already had! "Salesman B" can pardon himself from the people that came in after me, to finish helping me! Just like "Salesman A" did to me! I just walked out. I was in there from 1:15-3 pm!! For what ended up being a 20 minute update!? Verizon is already taking me for a ride looking at my ridiculous phone bill. And how dirty with their "pitch and great value" they give! Don't believe it, just another scam in my opinion! Read the fine print!!! read more

Amazing customer service. The staff when above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Attentive and professional.

Rachel was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and helped redeem a day that was heading downhill fast. After visiting several Verizon retailers and spending hours on hold with customer support I arrived at this location an hour before close. Long story short, my issues were not being resolved... Rachel remained 45 minutes after close to ensure my account delays were fixed and then went above and beyond, ensuring I had the phone I needed and a new account set up. Thank you for helping me keep my sanity! read more

My husband and I got a new phone at Victra, the Verizon authorized retailer and the service was amazing! Chris, who helped us, is extremely knowledgeable about Verizon products and services and he is very patient too. Chris completely set up my phone. He transferred all of the data from my old phone, helped with my biometric security, explained everything and answered all of our questions. The other staff member seemed to be equally knowledgeable and patient. read more

I went into the Verizon store on 2nd street, Davis, recently because I had just returned from a trip to Mexico and was having trouble with my IPhone. The person that helped me was a young man named Darius. When I went into the store I was so frustrated with my phone that I was ready to toss it in the garbage! Darius was so professional, efficient, helpful, and kind, and assured me that everything would be fine. He was able to figure out the problem and get it working again and I left the store much happier than when I walked in. THANK YOU, DARIU I am trying to write a second review but it keeps taking me back to the same review I wrote recently so will go ahead and add this on. I went into the store again a few days later because my phone had the wrong time. Chris fixed it for me in seconds. I had wanted to change from AT&T as my home phone and internet service so I asked Chris about changing to Verizon. He took care of that for me and even came out to the house when I got so frustrated and set it up for me. Thanks so much Chris!!! I really appreciated your help and patience with this elderly lady!! read more

Went in to get myself a new phone and a new family plan. Chris was very patient with us and walked us through all our options. He even stayed overtime to get us all set up. I recommend this store. read more

If you want to be treated like a human being and like family then you should go here and see Darius! When my iPhone (of 7 months died due to manufactured defect) he spent 15 minutes trying to reset it, then 30 mins talking to Verizon tech support (who wanted to charge me $200 repair fee when I have Verizon insurance) and then he referred me to Applecare Warranty Dept which replaced my phone for free. He was very personable and class A customer service. I went back 3 weeks later to get a SIM card and thankfully he was there and he got my new phone set up in 10 mins and even called it to make sure it was all good! He is awesome and deserves a promotion read more

Rachel was amazing! She was so patient with me getting a new phone and having to backup all my info. Kristian was the best sales associate I've probably ever come across. He had a really good attitude and was extremely patient with me as I was super indecisive majority of the time. I could tell that he was really an expert in his field; he was able to answer any question (which were multiple) I had regarding Apple products. Overall, customer service was a 10/10 from him. I wish all sales associates were like him! Great experience, will definitely come back to this store. read more

I am very dissatisfied with the level of customer service I received here. When I first went in I felt that the sales associate was friendly and nice. He help me get my upgrade and moved me to the "edge plan" which provides more data and no contract. He showed me the new monthly cost which was stated to be $5 less than my current bill. The phone I wanted was not in stock (64 gig iPhone 6) so he ordered it, had me pay what was due (only the taxes on the cost of the phone - $140) and told me to expect a call in 3-4 business days to pick up the phone. After 4 days I decided to stop in and see if maybe they just didn't have time to call me yet. I was then told that the phone was not there and it typically takes 7-10 business days. This was the same person that has previously said 4 days... Ok, I can wait another week no problem. After 12 days with no call I called the store to ask if they had gotten the phone in. "Well, that phone is currently on back order" I was told. That would have been nice to know... I feel that a courtesy call would have been nice! I asked if they had any sort of timeline they could give me. Their response was no. So I just wait until 3 weeks, 5 weeks or 10 weeks from now? Their response was that it is a very popular item so they had no idea how many other back orders were being filled before mine. I asked if I could just be refunded and I would get the phone elsewhere. I was told that I could not be refunded until the phone came in, at which point they would refund me minus a restocking fee. WHAT? A restocking fee for something I will never even see and wait an undetermined amount of time for? I am still waiting to hear back when the phone comes in ( 2.5 weeks later) and had to speak to he managers manager to get the restocking fee waived. I have since got my iPhone 6 at another store and was surprised to learn that the number that I was shown at z wireless for my new monthly bill was before tax, so my bill will actually go up about $8. Luckily the other company was not as shiesty and told me before moving forward. All in all, poor customer service and courtesy. These people just want to make that sale and get their commission in my opinion. read more

Do not go here. Go online. Or just anywhere else. They'll try to trap you there, holding on to your device against your will. Furthermore, they will decide prices on the fly, and try to manipulate you into buying every option imaginable, and charge you for options you don't need. I felt really really uncomfortable in here and I felt trapped. The manager would not give me my device back when I told him I wanted to leave. They seem very dishonest. read more

Verizon - Easy in and out and you can do some other shopping! - Mobile Phones Near Me - Davis, California

Staff was very friendly. However, I was enrolled in Total Mobile Protection Plan and Redux membership without my approval. While I appreciate the friendliness of the representatives, I find it unethical to enroll a customer in any plan that he/she hasn't approved. I've resolved the issue directly with corporate, and encourage other customers to review their receipts and monthly statements. I personally do not plan on visiting this store again. read more

I have to say I am so pleased with Darius. He has resolved multiple issues for me, helping me to be able to use the iPhone X I bought from the Verizon Victra store. Customer service like I have received from him makes me far less hesitant as a senior smart phone user to upgrade. His help has aided me in overcoming the learning curve that faces an older person who has stayed stuck with an obsolete technology because they were afraid of the challenge presented by a state of the art cutting edge technology. On top of that I had lost the list of my passwords which was a really depressing occurrence. He helped me recover them all and I have almost 80 of them. I just could not be more pleased with him or more players with Verizon for hiring capable and gracious technicians like him. Dr. Dulce Drysdale read more

The staff at this store is great. Jennifer, our sales rep and Chris, the manager are very knowledgable. They both worked exceptionally hard to update all our family's phones, get us the best plan, advise us on worthwhile accessories and GET US THE BEST PRICE! The only negative about the experience is that no matter how good they are at the conversion process, it takes a lot of time. That's the only reason I took 1 star away. Otherwise, thanks for making it as painless as possible. read more
