DO NOT GO HERE! I took my iPhone 17 Pro Max here to get the screen replaced a few days ago, and they completely ruined my phone. Before the repair, they mentioned absolutely ZERO risks. The moment I got my phone back, Face ID was completely broken and stopped working. To make things worse, I had to travel out of town for two months right after. I wanted to support this family run business, but they sold me a used phone with no battery charge. I couldn't charge the phone and connect it to my iCloud without first purchasing the phone. Once I had done all that, the phone had absolutely no storage to even download two apps. I deleted everything except: settings, phone, camera and texting. I still couldn't download an app such as Amazon. There wasn't any space. I took the phone back the next day to ask for a reimbursement, even half and the owner wouldn't change his mind. I've done previous business with this owner and I wanted to continue to support his business, but he wasn't interested in that either. I came in because I was visiting and my MacBook kept shutting down after I started it up. I went to the store. Other people came in and stood in line. I told him the problem and he did diagnostics on the spot. And he told me what I needed to do. He refused payment. I told him I would write him a review. Some people really know what customer service means. This company knows it. He took the time with me, knowing he wasn't going to charge me, while other customers were in line. This means that if you're counting on getting your very important device back, you might show up to a closed shop with a telephone that rings endlessly but does not allow you to leave a message. You may have to track them down to get your device back. This caused me a massive amount of aggravation and to lose income during my work day. The facts: 1- Asked to pay $40 for a diagnostic, after being quoted $30 on the phone, 2- They don't answer emails, even the urgent ones, even when ahead of times you explain your phone will be temporarily down, 3- There is a 30-day policy that stipulates that, if you don't complete payment for service, they will keep your device. They will make good on that, no matter what your life circumstances are at the moment, and no matter what emergency you're dealing with, and as stated above, will selectively ignore you when you contact them (because they've told you their policy). The advice: take your business elsewhere. I'm usually loyal to businesses, especially the local ones, but this one broke my trust pretty hard. It seems there was a change of ownership over the years? Jimmy, from iFixit, is awesome! We took a 2009 MacBook into him that had been so full it stopped working (and updating). I was fearful because I had 12 years of photos and family videos on the computer, the oldest of which hadn't synced with icloud. Jimmy was able to back up my computer and install the photos and videos onto my new MacBook Pro. In addition, he wiped my old computer clean so that it now functions as a new laptop again. I always use yelp, but made an account just to write this review. I had high expectations for this place considering all the reviews raved about the customer service. Unfortunately, I did not have that experience. I dropped off a computer that had my entire life on it Saturday. There was absolutely no sense of urgency when I dropped it off. They called to tell me my hard drive was bad and a quote to replace it. I agreed. Now, I'm sure that a lot of people would realize that this means all their data will be lost... I know nothing of computers and did not know this. Regardless it was extremely poor customer service to never even mention that my computer would be a blank slate when I got it back. Luckily I was at work and someone else informed me of this. At this point I called this business and asked what would happen to my data. They stated that they would pull what they could from the hard-drive and reload it onto my computer once the hard-drive was replaced. However when I pick it up they weren't ready on time and said they just started working on my computer, so I don't think they even tried to get my data. I have since had someone else do the data recovery (in less than 12 hours, a 1/4 of the time these people had it), so that's fine but I would never take anything here. I would have been better off paying someone else in the first place, and would have had my computer back sooner. This place has abysmal customer service and needs to work on their communication big time. Who really thinks it's OK to return a laptop wiped clean to a customer without ever giving them a head's up? Completely bogus. One further note: I emailed the company before I posted this and after I picked up my computer. I expressed my displeasure at the situation and lack of communication, and told them I was going to review them. They didn't bother to even respond, so that pretty much sums it up right there -- they already had my money and they don't care about customers. We have had two iPhones with batteries that won't hold a charge. Rather than spending hundreds on a new iphones we brought them to iFix Electronics in Davis and they were able to fix them in about an hour! They charged $40 per phone and now the they are like brand new iPhones again! We were treated with kindness and courtesy and they even provided a 30 day guarantee incase the new battery did not fix the problem. 5/5 stars! I should've came here from the start. I got my laptop fixed for free, since it was only diagnosis. The staff there were extremely nice and helpful. They fixed my problem within minutes, while other computer repair shops wanted to keep my laptop for a day or too, without diagnosing it on the spot. What happened: I accidentally uninstalled a program or hard drive, causing a defect in the network connections. Also, I was unable to restore my windows 8.1. Therefore, Tony troubleshooted it and hard reset it. Furthermore, he gave me the option to bring it home to finish restoring it or wait at the store. I am waiting at the store right now just in case if it still doesn't work. Tony was super friendly and professional, most importantly, he did not make me feel unintelligent due to my lack of computer knowledge. I highly recommend this place for fast and efficient repairs without costing you an arm and a leg. Also, location wise they are extremely easy to spot out on the corner of E and 6th. read more

I used to love this place but with the new ownership it's not as good. My Macbook Pro wasn't charging (my charger would hold the charge but not increase it) so he sold me a used (I chose used) charger. When I got home I saw the charger he sold me had the same problem! I went back and he said it was the battery, so I paid to replace that. When I got home I still had the same issue (did he even check that it worked?) and when I scrolled over the battery icon it said "need replacing." What? Meanwhile I realized my computer was charging with my friend's charger just fine so I ordered a new charging cable. Jimmy was kind enough to order another battery for free and also swap out the charger he originally sold me for one that worked, but still....my confidence was lost. Okay so the customer service is good, and the price is cheap. HOWEVER they have a 30 day period to bring your phone back if something goes wrong. My phones screen lighting is way off 6 days after the 30 day period. I can no longer see the time, phone service bars, or battery. I came here to ask them to fix my hinge on my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 which also had a touchscreen. Tony was the one who helped me out and he took a look at my laptop and gave it the diagnosis. They let me keep my laptop for the time being while they ordered the necessary parts for fixing and replacement. He said it would take about 3-5 business days and he ordered them on Wednesday afternoon. We paid for a little over half the price as a deposit for the repair. I got a call on Monday morning telling me the part was received and that I could come in with my laptop for the actual repair. I came in around 3 pm and was helped right away. The repairs were finished in two hours, much quicker than predicted. The entire bottom part of my laptop was replaced and it feels like new. The hinge is also working perfectly along with the other functions of the laptop. Hopefully everything is fine with it now and if not, they have a thirty day warranty in case anything goes wrong. This guy is a complete rip-off... proceed with caution - look at all the one-star ratings and five-star ratings, notice there's no in between. These people overcharge on screen fixes, though the prices on everything else seem alright, problem is they ALWAYS leave your electronics worse than when you brought it to them. I brought my ps3 that had some trouble starting certain discs, they were supposed to clean it... and only clean it, afterwards I got a yellow-light-of-death and they refused to acknowledge their mistake. My 4 year old MacBook Pro stopped working a few months ago and I put off fixing it as long as I could, not sure if I should replace it instead. In the end, I decided that was too expensive and brought it into iFix. They guessed it was the logic board from my description of what happened and quoted me a price to fix it. A few days later, they called to say it actually needed a new screen, which cost more. I gave the okay and it was fixed within a couple of days. It looked like it was working fine, but when I brought it home, it crashed again. I brought it back to iFix and they went back to their original theory of what was wrong. So I left it with them again and they again had it fixed within a couple of days. They didn't charge me for the 2nd fix (which actually would have cost me a little less in the first place) and also upgraded my Mac OS software and Microsoft Office, which was long overdue. I ended up with what was basically a brand-new computer for a few hundred dollars, making me really happy that I didn't just replace it! iFix stands behind their work, has a fast turn around and always called me promptly and kept me updated on what was going on. I would not bring Mac or Mac-related products here. I brought in an old hard drive that was slow but working and asked them to back it up. They said they couldn't even read the drive. When I expressed concern that that wasn't the behavior of the device when I left it with them (and before they dis- and re-assembled it), the older gentlemen didn't seem to understand my concern and just smirked and shrugged. Thought I'd give these guys a review a job well done. My xbox suddenly stopped doing video-out one day. It RROD'd without actually getting a RROD. I brought it over to the buys at iFix, and they fixed it within 2 days. Got it back, and my xbox was working again. The same thing happened again in about a week. However, iFix has a 3 month warranty on their work. I dropped it off and got it back the next day. Just like new. It's been working fine ever since. Thanks for saving my xbox!
