When I received my phone back, it turned on for about one second and then stopped working completely. I went home, charged it, and tried everything I could, but it would not turn back on. This was especially stressful because I was leaving the next day to fly home by myself, and I was several hours away from home. I ultimately had to get the phone looked at and repaired somewhere else. I was told there was an issue with the phone that was causing it to immediately overheat, which explained why it would not stay on. When I returned to this shop a week later to ask for my money back, the interaction was extremely uncomfortable. I was berated, and I was told I needed to delete my original review in order to receive my money back. I ultimately deleted the review and received some of my money back. I'm sharing this because I think customers should know about my experience before choosing this shop. I understand that repairs can sometimes be complicated and things can go wrong, but I expected the situation to be handled professionally and respectfully.

Quick backstory: the iPhone I brought in for repair had been run over by a vehicle (fell out my pocket while riding my bicycle!) so I was skeptical of any fix & initially looked for phone replacements on trusted 3rd party iPhone purchase platforms. Few research moments later, I find myself going to Apple & next committing to Seth @ Davis Cell phone repair, for a front screen swap the next day/today. If True Tone was a must, he recommended a trusted third party shop in Sacramento. However, his detailed description of the fix to me built trust and quality is proof in the performance of the phone now. Almost as good as new (no True Tone however & I honestly can not tell a difference in the colors or tone adjustment in various settings (it is in fact a quality soft Oled screen from a reputable brand confirmed). I did the recommended four point checks thereafter found via AI & Seth to ensure screen replacement was excellent. For additional peace of mind I completed diagnostic functioning tests for all check points in iPhone where all came out green! Except, True Tone feature of course, which I never paid much attention to anyhow . I will update later if anything changes. I anticipate years of good use with this new iPhone! Thanks again, Seth!
