I always shop at this store and have never been disappointed. Typically, I visit various shops, but once I had an unresolved phone issue. Every store referred me to Nate and Niko, so I decided to give them a try. In just 30 minutes, Nate fixed my phone after I'd spent weeks going in circles. Interestingly, I noticed many customers that came in that day, were anxiously trying to fix their phones. Since every phone repair can be challenging, it's important to understand that these issues take time and attention. Giving the technicians space to work is essential; if you interrupt them with complaints, you risk getting your phone back unaddressed, as they move on to the next customer. Interestingly they know every customer NY their name and they help everyone on a personal level. You never find honest people like this anymore. I think since they are the owners and not just employees that don't care! They run this shop on a different level. They will definitely work with you no matter what the situation is. I've been going to then now since 2016 and won't go anywhere else... yes that's right nowhere else!!!! Their prices are very reasonable, too. For example, Apple asked me to pay $450 to repair my iPhone 12 Pro Max, while Nate did it for only $120. Apple also offered me a different refurbished phone, which would have cost me all my data and who knows what the previous user did to that phone. If you need your cell phone fixed, Nate is the man. No one can tear down a cell phone, make the repairs and put it back together like Nate. The ease in which he does it right before your eyes borders on magical. He can be helping two other customers at the same time and it doesn't matter, it almost seems like muscle memory. Watch this man repair phones for fifteen minutes and you will be as thoroughly convinced as I am at how extremely talented he is. I bought a factory refurbished Samsung Galaxy S7 and took it to T-Mobile to have them put in a sim card and activate it. A few months later I decided to get a pay as you go account with Telcel to use while I was in Mexico. Upon removing the sim card T-Mobile had put in my phone, Nate discovered the sim card was crammed in the slot and the sim card drawer was broken. He had a hard time prying my sim card out and was afraid he might wreck the new sim card so he needed to replace the sim card tray. This basically entailed completely disassembling the phone to get to the sim card tray slot. Once he was able to get to the slot, he discovered that the factory repair shop had put in a new sim card tray without removing the original tray and the original tray was still stuck in the slot. I guess that was why it was refurbished. With great dexterity and precision, Nate managed to get the old sim card pieces out of the slot without destroying the fragile little contacts they were so tightly jammed into. I must admit that watching him take my phone completely apart made me more than a little nervous, but the ease with which he made the repairs and put my precious little phone perfectly back together was beyond impressive. Even more amazing was learning that iphones were really his specialty and every time Apple comes out with a new iphone he stands in line to be one of the first people to buy one so he can take it apart in order to learn how to make repairs. If that doesn't show how dedicated he is to his work and his customers then I don't know what does. Another area where Nate is amazing is his customer service. The personal attention he gives each individual customer is something you just don't see very often anymore. He treats every customer like they are important no matter what walk of life they come from and his humble and genuine personality always leaves me feeling like every person truly is important to him. read more

By the looks of this place one might assume this is the kind of place that will sell you a broken phone with crappy service for twice the price...but this could not be further from the truth. Muhammad is probably the most honest guy in the cell phone business. He will never try to sell you products or services you don't need. Instead, he will hook you up with the phone and service that suits your needs for the lowest amount of money possible. I made the mistake of signing up for net10 who has the shittiest customer service/technical support in the world, and so whenever I have a problem I go straight to Muhammad. He knows the right way to talk to these guys and get your problems taken care of. My only piece of advice is that you must be patient. They are really good at multitasking. This means two things 1) as soon as you walk in the door your needs will be addressed and worked on but 2) you will be sharing your time with the 4 other people they might be helping simultaneously. They never answer their phone and do not have answering machine. For a company that sells cell phones to not have a recording to let customers leave messages is appalling. On the very rare chance they answer the phone they will tell you they are too busy to help you. This happened today. After dialing their number non stop for one hour somebody answered the phone. I asked to speak to Chino and was told "he is to busy with customers to take your call". I gave my name and number and said Chino promised to call me two days ago and never followed up. No big surprise. Chino did not respond to phone message I left on feb 21. How can this place stay in business if their official policy for years is to. Never answer phone and no answering img machine and not return calls? They sell many brands of cell phones. I had the misfortune last August. To buy a Metro CPS service with a ZTE cell phone. It is seriously defective and when I called Metro PCS 800# they said they did not have address where to mail back defective /phone for exchange! I then wasted one hour going all the way to West Sac Metro PCS store to get defective cell exchanged. Very snotty clerk did not want to honor the warranty. After my pushing hard for 20 minutes finally rude Metro. PCS clerk said he would order replacement cell phone and would call me to pick it up when it arrived at West Sac store. THAT WAS THREE WEEKS AGO. if you want to be played for a chump then go buy a cell phone at J Street Wireless downtown and get screwed and buy piece of crappy made in China by slave labor ZTE cell phone. I have a useless manufacturer warranty that is worthless and a broken ZTE cell /phone. Next step is to toss this junk crappy cell phone in recycling bin because Chiming at J Street Wireless will never return my call and their darn office NEVER answers their physics phone. J Street is a pretty unassuming little shop, but they get the job done. When I needed an unlocked GSM phone at the last minute, they had 3 inexpensive ($59) choices. To complete the unlock on the same day I purchased the handset, Dia at the counter went above and beyond service that you would get at any corporate store by letting me call him on his personal cell until the code came thru for unlock. The phone worked great on the Open BTS system at Black Rock City with a China Mobile sim. Highly recommend for international service. J street wireless might be just what you need. read more

Ok pardon my dry humor, but this is that sh*t I don't like: when I call a cell phone service shop bright and early when everyone should be on their p's and q's and they lie to me about products in stock. I called J Street Wireless looking for an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH 1777) replacement battery. The guy rummaged around while he was on the phone with me, and assured me they had them in stock and though they were out of brand new ones he could sell me a working used one for $10. I was elated like a child that won free pizza, I rushed over only to have to wait for the owner/manager to open the front door, be ignored for 8 minutes, then "helped" only to find out they didn't have what I specifically asked them to check for before driving over. Not good business man. Wasted my gas, time and money [hey street parking!]; I just wanted them to take my money and give me what I needed. read more

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be to find someone to replace the cracked screen on my Android phone. I found J St. Wireless on a Google search and when I called to see if they could replace the screen, they sounded more than happy to help me out. Unfortunately, the location isn't the best, but their customer service MORE THAN than makes up for it! I have to admit that I was a little nervous about the fact that while Nate was replacing my screen, he was also assisting other customers in the shop and some on the phone... I mean, come on, doesn't the intricate process of replacing a phone screen require 100% undevided attention?! I quickly went from being nervous to very impressed. I have seen other Androids with replaced screens (before this visit, and since then) and you can tell they have been replaced, either by how the phone physically looks and/or the touch screen behavior. Not mine, it is as good as new. A few days later, I was having some issues with reception so I took my phone back to see if the replacement might have had anything to do with it. Nate remembered me and showed me how everything was put together and what was involved in the replacement. He wasn't immediately sure why my phone was acting up. He even offered to replace the internal parts of the phone and refused to charge me because he just wanted my phone to work. While taking it apart, he found the problem, fixed it and I haven't had a problem since. And he still refused to charge me! read more

My experience was overall really good. I have had to replace cracked iPhones for quite a while now and Nate was easily the fastest person to ever replace my glass. Stopped by yesterday to inquire about the Galaxy S3. Friendly service and great selection. Ive been going here since 2004 and trust the business very much. The guy that runs it is the coolest you could meet, although some of the upscale phones can be pricier than what's offered in major carrier deals. Being on J Street isn't really convenient with all the parking enforcement hounds around. But it could be worse on K Street, with traffic lanes for shopping drive-buys and no parking. Ugh. read more

I walked in on a Saturday with a smashed Motorola RAZR maxx screen. Even though there was a line of 5 people in front of me I was in and out in a few minutes. The man working the counter was very nice and knowledgeable, took a look at my phone, told me the price and said it would be done in an hour. When I went back in to pick it up I was immediately recognized even though the store was busy and brought to the front to pick up my phone. I was informed that they had only had a used screen in stock and if I was alright with a used screen then it would be cheaper than originally quoted, $80 instead of $100. I left very satisfied, even though the replacement screen is used it is in no worse shape than mine had been before it was smashed, just a few small surface scratches. I hope I never have to return for a repair again but if needed I will definitely return to J St! read more
