Turns out they pretty much have the best deal there is anymore as prices of the most basic Internet plans have gone up so that there's not really such thing as "deals" anymore. But there are still some discounts if you get paperless billing statements, pay by bank account instead of credit card, and have autopay set up. All in all, we learned some things and although they didn't have a free modem promo unless you changed up to a better Internet plan, at least I found out that what my folks are paying isn't too bad and they weren't being had. Looking out for our elders who are quite intimidated by tech. We asked about mobile plans too, but for now it seems my folks didn't need to upgrade so their basic plan is good. The store is big, clean, bright, calming, I think all of that is to create an atmosphere where they can talk you into a better, higher plan, but there really wasn't any pressure sales, and the staff who helped us was friendly and honest, telling us that what my folks got is the best value there is unless a seasonal promo comes up. Thanks Xfinity. For the most part, it's not too bad minus 1 Star for occasional outages.

We went in to try to resolve something that couldn't be taken care of online and for which we were told we had to go into the store so we did. We were still unable to get good help to resolve the problem and although service was friendly, they kept changing the goalpost so we told them we'll just cancel our service and before we got to the car we got an email that says they upgraded our plan! What?! So now we get to spend more time trying to get this fixed. It's been quite a hassle all around and we will not do mobile with Xfinity anymore. No choice on Internet so we're stuck, as with most of our region. The store is nice and clean and cooled down to be quite cold too keep you from heating up with frustrations perhaps? lol. Overall, bad value for mobile service, definitely use a MVNO provider.

    I have AT&T fiber in the middle of Sacramento and is constantly going out for short periods. It was…read moreout for more than a day on two separate occasions. Phone support insisted that it was just me, but when I got to the hour mark of the call, they suddenly realized it was a network outage. I have been an AT&T customer for years, and this is typical of their customer support. An AT&T tech even joked with me that they are a communications company, but they have horrible internal communications within the company. Profits over performance. Their apps don't work consistently. I stopped being able to login to the "Smart" Home app, which they require for appointment updates, not to mention troubleshooting your own internet. I call in every couple of months to try to resolve it, but their limited scripted troubleshooting, basically consisting or changing the password never works.

They have been over charging me and taking…read moremoney out of my accout a couple times a month. 3 this month making a total over $800 just this month. Last month they took out $790. I only have 2 lines. I spent 4 hours on the phone trying to get it resolved and it still not fix. I will never refer somebody to this company. It's the worst. They have so much fraud by there own employees. They cant even keep our information from getting hacked. I highly recommend Verizon, t-mobile, cricket, even metro pcs, any other company besides this one.

We previously used AT&T and they had horrible customer service and the internet was so slow and frequently lost connection. Making the business decision to switch not only saved us a lot of money but also elevated our level of customer service we can provide to our patients. With a quicker internet, a multitude of options and great knowledgeable staff, I only wish we would have made the switch sooner!

    We used fortis as our IT company for the last few years and hired them to move our server to "there…read moredata center" after 4 months we had our launch date on a Monday. We were shut down for 2 days with computer problems and for the next 2 weeks had nothing but problems and downtime. We told them to move our stuff back to our inhouse server only to find out they actually tried to put us in AZURE Microsoft cloud base . That was never discussed and they decided to to that on their own without any change order and lied and said that's what the plan was when literally we had them in our office and thru emails stating that we are moving to there data center were they have space. Our software at that time was not going to work in that platform due to the amount of data. We decided after all the problems to cancel our service to only have fortis strong arm us and held us hostage. We disputed a $1900.00 charge for services they were charging us but not providing and finally after a back and forth with them we agreed to pay as long as we can get our credentials and then they said they were going to audit our account. The next week they sent us a bill for 8,000 dollars for magical tickets from 2 years ago ,gave us 24 hours to pay or they would disrupted out ability to work and that is exactly what they did .block our staff and took over our computers. We ended up paying them 10,000 as basically ransom. They are dishonest and they claim to be there to protect you from viruses and people taking over your computer but they are the ones you need to worry about. It has been 2 months cents our cancellation and guess what ,not one computer problem except from the computers we bought from them . So weird that having the "big IT company with multiple calls to fix computers to not having any problems at all says a lot. The light at the end of the tunnel we also cancelled our VoIP and found a new vender that was less price and more features and we are not paying 2400.00 a month to them for there contract. It was a blessing that they performed so poorly as we found better solutions. If i can save one person from this nightmare and them using a company that will charge you for services they are not providing then this review is worth it. If your looking for a honest IT Company they are not it. you can look online and see this is common practice for them.

I really appreciate supporting local and smaller businesses, the reality though was that the actual speed that we received due to living further away in Nevada County was sub par. We ended up upgrading to the most expensive option and still the quality, even when speed tested by Om Soft was quite low and not fast enough. Unfortunately because of our requirement for a higher speed for work, we had to cancel our service and go with Xfinity. We could have left with a good feeling and simply realized that we were too far for great service but what turned things quite sour was the canceling process. You must know that you have to give a 30 days heads up for cancelation. We began discussing cancelation with them and were working out the time as to when Xfinity was going to come out, weeks in advance and then Xfinity was backed logged and could not come out right away..leading us to extend our stay with om soft. When we did switch over and paid in full for the actual service days, we received a bill from Om soft charging us for another billing cycle, in which we did not actually use their service and were at that time, utilizing Xfinity, all documented and for a much higher speed and 39.00 versus 65.00. We have gone back and forth about this for the last year.. One employee will seem very kind and say that it is taken care of...only to receive a letter in the mail stating that this is a notice. Then I called back and finally offered to pay half simply to stop the nonsense...and another employee seems amicable to this arrangement and then another notice is sent. If you do want to give them a go, make sure that you live close by and make sure to give an advance cancellation at least 30 days in advance and I would recommend getting it in writing that you will not have any extra unexpected charges...otherwise it is a nightmare. The people in general seemed kind to an extent..but the stubborness to charge when service was not provided was and has been quite shocking.
