Our Xfinity has not worked properly in weeks! We allegedly have 7 devices in my house that use Xfinity. Xfinity aka Incomplete Comcast expects me to fix it for them! The first tip I would highly recommend people to do is make an appointment online. I was able to make an appointment for the same day, about an hour into the future. When I got there I didn't have to wait in line. Now the review: I've been here a few times over the years. Sometimes to deal with my cable and sometimes to deal with my cell phone and have always had my problems solved. The manner in which it is solved has been different. When I went in recently, my issue was fixed very quickly, but the customer service was at best "short/terse" and at worst "rude". It depends on how you personally interpret things and I could see a person feeling the individual helping me was rude. After leaving the back the agent let out a huge sigh, then he approached me and asked why I was in. I told him about an error message on my phone saying I had no sim card. Without saying anything he turns and walks into the back. (Would have been nice to hear him say something like "sure one second, let me get a tablet in the back"). He emerges with a tablet. Gives another large sigh (I think directed at the tablet, like he was having issues logging in). Then asks for my number. I give him my number then he starts walking towards the back again, stops at the door, maybe about 10 to 15 feet away, and asks for my address (probably for confirmation of who I was). Then disappears into the back again without a word. He emerges from the back with a sim card and asks for my phone. Put the SIM card in and says I'm good. That was it. Was it bad? Not really. It wasn't good either though. There was another guy helping two customers at once, he was knocking it out of the park. I think the moral of the story is to make an appointment. If I had to wait in a long line and got the service I got I would've been irritated. Since it literally took me 5 minutes to get my problem fixed I have no real beef even though the service was lacking. read more

I used to hate Xfinity services. Internet was down in the middle of the day or for days at a time. Lately they've been good in Davis. Internet in town is solid. I would recommend it. I do not recommend trying to get service at this retail location. Be prepared for long waits, associates that are maybe half trained, hard upsells, and moves to auto payments. The switch details back and forth and are constantly clicking away at their computer pretending to accomplish something. What that clicking is, I don't know. Minecraft? Solitaire? MILF porn? Whatever it is, it's not to your benefit. Seriously, don't bother walking in. Just call the 800 number and spend your two hours on the phone from home instead of here. You will get the same product in the end with vastly better service. Maybe even a little less upset. read more

We're all used to relatively poor customer service from large corporations but this store sets a new low. Briefly: I purchased my own modem/router to eliminate the $15/mo rental charge for the Xfinity modem. I went through Xfinity to "register" and "approve" the new modem. Xfinity does everything possible to prevent you from getting your own modem/router. After it was up and running well I took the old unit into the Davis store for what I thought was a simple return and elimination of the rental fee. The store employee, Ty, seemed completely baffled by what he was seeing on the computer. He said he would send me a text but was unable to do so. He never asked another employee for assistance. After more than 40 minutes he told me I was "all set" and the rental fee was removed. He was right about the latter but what he didn't tell me was that he had changed my entire TV plan, without my knowledge or permission, and had disconnected my modem/router. I spent at least 2 hours on the phone with Xfinity trying to get the modem back on line, finally succeeded. I then got an email describing my "new plan". It was completely different than my old one and much worse. And of course it was not any less expensive. After multiple phone calls, all of them incredibly frustrating and receiving erroneous information, I learned that I had HAD a "legacy plan" that was excellent but sadly it could not be replaced, I was stuck with the new plan that Ty has decided to give me, again without my knowledge, without my permission, without any type of signature. I went back to the store and was very unpleasant; they told me that if I called the 800 number they could restore the old plan. That of course was BS and after several more infuriating calls with Xfinity I gave up. I'm trying to find a service to replace Xfinity but they really have the market cornered, esp if you want UHD/4K content and high speed internet. In the meantime I'll drive ANYWHERE to get service from a store other than the Davis store. read more

They want it back, but they are running me through hoops. I asked for a supervisor, and they refused. I spend over 300.00 a month with them and I am so mad I will look at how to cut the cable. I have 4 phones on my account my husband and I use 3 gigs a month and my daughter has unlimited on one and is suspended on another. On 9/26 I chatted to remove my daughter's two suspended accounts, I told the person the numbers I wanted removed and waited a very long time for this to happen. When it was finished I did a survey saying that I was helped but then, wow, MY phone was deactivated. I went to the Xfinity Store, they got my phone activated and put in to terminate my daughers two lines (which had not been done previously) wait 1/2 hour for the changes. Heading home I try to call my husband, but his line is deactivated. I called xfinity mobile customer service and they got his phone activated and once again I put in a request for my daughers two lines to be deactivated and mine to show active (it was working). At the end of this day (9/26) and for the next week my phone is activated but showing deactivated on the app, his phone is activated and my daughter's two phones are STILL on the plan. I am getting beyond angry at the incompetence at this point, so I just wait. Fast forward to yesterday (10/3), my husband and I sit in the Xfinity store and we are reassured that in 1/2 hour to an hour everything will be fixed. Then 2 hours later I call customer service when it is still not updated, a lady overseas assures me she is going to give me the very best service and that now everything is fixed, just wait 1/2 hours (I told her to begin with, do not tell me to wait as it never happens). Fast forward to this morning, I have priced out Verizon mobile, AT&T Internet, the Amazon Firestick and Ring security. I am 1 centimeter close to telling Xfinity to take a giant leap into a very deep chasm. Thanks for listening and do NOT tell me to call anyone, you will reach out to me and do NOT tell me to wait 1/2 hour to 1 hour. They have a Really friendly manager, John. He helped us out with upgrading four of our tv boxes and was very patient and kind in doing so. It's a lovely big modern store , very clean and a lot on display. Side note *** we called ahead to comcast and they said the Davis store wouldn't have the boxes. Luckily we went in and they did. After I talked to the employee at the front desk he goes to the back room and says loudly to another employee "He gay! That nigga look like Diddy". They both came out to the front, I guess so the second employee could confirm the visual comparison. It's important to note that the first employee, then very quickly explained that he could offer no help, and I left, not wanting to waste my time or be disrespected any further. In the future, I would suggest that if employees are going to loudly engage in homophobic rhetoric about customers that they either, shut the door, first or at the very least, actually provide adequate service. This kind of conduct makes me wonder if I would've received better service if I appeared more heterosexually presenting, and also why I would be spending my money every month with a company that's going to engage with me this way. My review is for Xfinity as an ISP, not this store front. My job and access to school for my kids requires reliable access to broadband, which is all too common in our current (pandemic) environment. I've lived in Davis more than 30 years and switched to Xfinity about 2 years ago. I've lost track of how many times we've lost service - often for half a day or more. I've never received any form of communication to help me understand why this is happening or what corrective and preventative steps are being taken to improve reliability. REALLY recommend that you consider another ISP if you require a reliable ISP. Not happy. read more

I requested a supervisor and conveniently he takes a one hour lunch. I already had canceled my Wi-Fi because of they can't get the bill right and I have to watch them so they don't charge me an extra hundred for two months they did this. My guy Dakota helped us out a lot to get set up with internet, and got right to the point with everything. We told him straight out of the gate what we wanted, and he worked with us to get the best plan with unlimited data. He also told us all the ways that we could get discounts on our monthly bill, which brought our ~$100 monthly bill down by half. We also let him know that we were in a bit of a rush on our visit and he got us set up as quickly as he could, probably only spent about 15 minutes there when I'm used to visits taking almost an hour. I have had the absolute worst experience with Xfinity mobile. I called about a question on my bill and I was told that being a platinum member that I was eligible for some new phone a Samsung Galaxy and I was told that the phone was completely free as a promo and that I would receive my internet at a lower price if I accepted the phone although the phone was free. I should have known better but they worded it in a way where it seemed like I was paying too much for my internet and why not get lower internet and a free phone because I've been a platinum customer for so long now.. turns out I returned the phone and sent back to the warehouse and I was told on several occasions that my account would be closed as far as the Xfinity mobile part and I do have their internet service but they have not closed this account and every month they are telling me that I need to submit payment information for a phone that I no longer have. I may have to get an attorney because it's ruining my credit don't ever ever except anything that Xfinity Mobile tells you I like the Comcast internet for internet services but that Xfinity mobile service is the worst I have ever seen or experienced in my life it is cost me so much stress and they just sent me an email on the 19th saying that I needed to pay for a phone and service that I no longer have.
