My daughter and I ordered new phones from Verizon to be delivered via FedEx, to two different addresses. Her's was thrown into a snow bank at the end of her driveway and was not discovered for over 24 hours. When she tried to activated it, she ran into problems and called tech support for assistance. I too called My Verizon to trouble shoot. To make a long story somewhat shorter, In the end, they suggested that she take her phone to the nearest store for assistance, which just so happens to be the store in Boulder. The tech person from My Verizon was very helpful when I spoke with her, and said she would document everything in our account to make it easier when my daughter went into a store for assistance. I told her that we are refusing the phone because, #1. My daughter never signed for it and #2. It sat in a deep freeze snow bank over night, didn't activate properly and I didn't want problems to arise later, even if they were able to activate. The sales person at the store was unbelievably rude and arrogant. He told my daughter that she was lucky the phone even made it to her house, and that 50% of deliveries are lost. He said she was one of the lucky ones!! He told her that her phone was fine, she just needed to take her old sim card out of her old phone and put that in her new phone! The tech person at My Verizon specifically said not to do this! He scoffed at that and said she doesn't know what she is talking about. Hmmm, he is a sales person. She is a technical support person. What an arrogant know-it-all. He refused to replace the phone without a $50 restocking fee. She had the phone for one day!!!!! A phone that was tossed into a snow bank, and not even signed for. Wow!! Way to go Tyler!! I read most of the reviews for this store and am not surprised. Boulder, if your'e smart you will get rid of these arrogant, worthless employees. My question to you Verizon, is "what are you going to do about my daughter's poor treatment at your store??" Not to mention, I am insisting that her phone be replaced without any additional cost. Employees didn't seem to want to stop their conversation to help a customer, walked in and waiting at the front of the store to be helped and no employees were helping other customer and they just turned around, looked at me, then went back to their conversation. I had to go up for help and it didn't seem like any of them wanted to take me seriously. Left and made my purchase at the apple store after someone finally said someone would be right with me and I waited for 10 minutes while they continued talking in front of me. read more

We were delighted with the support provided by Phillip Gibson. He took his time explaining our options and demonstrating the features of each device. My wife and I went into the store yesterday to switch back to Verizon after a terrible two years with AT@T. Before heading in I took a glance at some reviews and was terrified by all the one stars. Well we were most pleasantly surprised by the amazing level of customer service from Phillip the manager and Derek, the sales associate who helped us. When we arrived Phillip was honest about the waiting time of around 45 minutes. Derek was very professional and attentive of our needs as customers. He priced everything out for us and wasn't too pushy at all with trying to sell us more then what we came in to buy. Highly recommend this Verizon store location! read more

The insurance Verizon offers is AWFUL. I cracked my screen and scheduled for a technician to come out and fix it ($30 later), not a bad deal. I scheduled it a week in advance and the day of I received a text saying the technician was having car trouble so they needed me to call and reschedule! I did just that and was told it would be another week until someone was available. I obviously couldn't wait another week for my phone to be fixed, I was traveling for the holidays and needed a phone. They were nice enough to schedule an appointment for the next day between 9am-11am. The next day I waited until 11:10 before calling and asking where the technician was. I waited on hold for 45 minutes before a supervisor was brought into the conversation. The entire time they were trying to figure out where the technician was that was supposed to be at my house. Eventually they offered to just send me a new phone that they would "try" to get shipped to today but would most likely get to me the next business day at no extra cost. This entire process took about 2 weeks when it should have only taken 5 days. Working with Asurion was an absolute nightmare and its a shame that an insurance that cost so much each month can't even do the one thing they are supposed to. read more

I am sick and tired of fighting with Verizon about my bill. I switched my data-only plan to include a phone line on september 24, 2015. On that day, in the store, I asked for 18GB of data, unlimited talk/text, insurance, the works. My new phone never activated. The sales rep sent me home, told me it should activate overnight. It never did. The next day, another sales rep activated my phone. A week later, I get a notice that I've used all my minutes. How? I'm on unlimited. Well, the sales rep put me on a 450 minute plan. Then, I realize i have no hotspot. So, i called in. The phone rep gives me my hotspot and says he fixed my talk. He didn't. I was then looking at $400 in overages for talk/text. I went into the store. THey said they'd fix it. They didn't. I am now looking at $900 in talk/text overages and they won't help me. I have called, I have been on chat, i have been in the store. Every time, they promise they'll fix it, and every time they do not. read more

This store manager 'Nick' is very smug and thinks it's ok to treat customers like their powerless suckers. After much back and forth on account of Verizon pulling one of their usual skeezy maneuvers, jacking up my fee's with no notification, I agreed to a new plan. I said ok print out what we agreed on. He comes back with a receipt stating $30 a month more. I said this isn't what we just wrote right here. He says well just take my word for it because that's what the computer will print. Like I'm a total idiot. So now I have to waste more time calling customer service. The worst part though is Verizon Jacking up my unlimited data by 40% after I bought my iPhone in cash after being assured it wouldn't change if I didn't finance the phone through them. Completely lied to me about the Iphone 5. I'm a contractor and need to have call merging when I'm in the field. Gets everybody on the same page It works. AT&T you can merge up to 9 calls, Great feature. The sales person flat out lied to make the sale. You can not merge calls on the Verizon network. when I brought it back she was nasty to me. I recently lost my phone, that I purchased at this store and also opted for the insurance. When I went in to discuss getting a new phone, I was automatically directed to a 1-800 number that I could call. This more than pissed me off seeing as my monthly bill is regularly $140 plus, going on multiple years of having them as my carrier. I would think that they would in some way appreciate this and offer to help me file the claim to get me a new phone. NOPE! They gave me the number and sent me on my way. Once I called the number to file a claim, I was told the new phone would be $170. I'm no math genius, but the insurance was something in the $100 range. The iphone 4 I was having warrantied is now offered @ $99 with a 2 yr contract. The insurance they offer is a rip off, and don't expect to get any type of service unless you are buying something new. I am incredibly happy about the new FCC ruling allowing you to switch carriers without getting a new phone. Maybe then the mobile companies will in some way recognize customer service as a part of all that money they are being payed. read more

Verizon's staff at their 29th Street Mall store in Boulder, Colorado were a bunch of big giant babies-- They sold me the flip phone I wanted-- then the guy got upset that I made a couple reasonable requests about not getting a line / phone number which was still someone else's. That was what happened to me at the AT&T store. Well anyway the dude at Verizon acted like it was a totally unreasonable request and then his hands started shaking because he got angry the big baby. Then he spent an inordinate amount of time in the back gossiping with the other big baby staff members-- making me wait for a long time. Then he brought the phones out and handed me the box of the one that I bought and he got my license and the pin and all the stuff then he goes back in the back room again this was the third time then I am ready to hand him the money and he see about $500 bucks in my wallet so then be beelines it back to the back room and comes out and says he can't sell me the phone that he had just handed me in its box and that I bought-- but then he wouldn't let me have the phone buy. Fat men are always cry babies and weak. He thought I would just fold and buy the $260.00 model. A total of 45 minutes wasted time. Don't go to these player big babies, getting a kick out of inconveniencing someone and then being dishonest to boot. What a funky place-- I thought AT&T was bad-- but this Verizon is worse. read more

This store puts the customer last. The employees are warm bodies filling the space. I ordered a phone over the phone with Verizon - big mistake- it had horrible reception and was a piece of ----! I went to the Boulder store to return it and the warm body could have cared less and charged me $35 restocking fee which according to her was not negotiable. She asked me if she could show me other phones....but, she really didn't want to, and I will never do any business with Verizon again. This has got to be the worst store EVER!! I had to wait for at least 25 to 45 minutes all three times I had to go in to the store (to get their mistakes corrected.) I was treated so badly I left the second time got in my car & started crying I couldn't believe how mean they were. I know is I paid a LOT of money for a phone no one could seem to get to work properly. I finally told them I wanted to my money back, I didn't want the phone any longer. They fought me on my return. I walked into this store at 3:00pm on a Wednesday afternoon, and was greeted right away. The gal that greeted me asked me if I was here to browse, or to buy. I told her I was here to buy, and she told me to go to the corner of the store, and wait. Well, I waited right where she told me to for 25minutes, and I was never once acknowledged buy her, or any of the other 10 sales agents in that time. Once again, I was here to buy, and spend full retail on a new Galaxy Note3!!! COMMISSION right!!!! I will never shop, or recommend this store. I don't need to be treated like I'm the most important person in the store, but I do expect to be told the wait expectations, and it might be nice for at least one of the large staff to simply check in with me at some point. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Worst customer service ever. I am a young female college student and they mistakenly thought they could take advantage of me. My phone was having issues and I was up for an upgrade, they told me there was nothing they could do for me and said to call customer service. After two hours on the phone with customer service, the representative kindly told me to go to the Apple Store down the street who took care of me in thirty minutes, gave me a free iPhone 5s and a case. I went then to speak with the manager at Verizon and they tried to pass me off to two different assistant managers until I stated I would speak to none other than the manager. He brushed me off. My brother and eventually dad and I received terrible service form this Verizon. My brother and I are both young but I have my own Verizon account with my own bills and we came in to add my brother to my line and purchase two new phones. An older man walked in right after us and was helped immediately and left the store before we were approached by anyone. 15 minutes go by so we call our dad to come in so that maybe we would be taken seriously as customers. We finally put our names in after an older woman walked in and an employee went to approach her but saw our frustration and asked what we were there for. By the time my dad arrived my brother and I had been there for 40 minutes. We asked when we would be helped and the man said to go ask the greeter bc he was busy helping someone; there was no greeter. Then a younger woman comes in and puts her name in the line and a few minutes later we see her being helped. Driving further would be worth your while. read more

Approach with all the caution you would bring to a cheap used-car dealer. I was told in the store that I had an "upgrade" and so I signed up for an I-phone 6, expecting to pay a couple hundred bucks. A few billing cycle's later I discovered they were charging $750.00 for this "upgrade." (The Verizon invoice is no model of clarity). I complained to Verizon that I'd been told one thing and sold another. Verizon called the Boulder Store. The Boulder store manager refused to change anything because I had "signed the contract." Nor would Verizon Inc. do anything to help me out. The Store, and Verizon Inc., have won and they get to keep my $750.00. But they get a zero in customer service and have lost my business. Every minute spent in the Verizon store is a minute closer to death, and I've never been in and out of here in less than 40 minutes. Going to the Verizon store always takes longer than it should, in large part because they are basically used car salesmen. I assume the employees work on commission, as they are always trying to get me to buy more than I want. This is how sales works, I get that, but when it becomes an incredible waste of time, this deters people from coming into the store. Normally, I would consider this to simply be a drag, however, my most recent experience resulted in one of the employees signing me up for a payment plan that I explicitly said I did not want. I didn't realize he had done this until I got home to see my emailed receipt show the charges to my account (not the upfront payment in person in the store). I strongly suspect that this was intentional, and that he gets a commission for everyone he registers to this plan. I'm pretty sure that telling someone they're buying one thing and then selling them something else is illegal. After calling customer service, and having to spend 40 minutes on the phone listening to their second sales pitch all over again, I was told that this change can only be made in person, in the store. I'm really excited to waste another hour of my life being told that I'm an idiot for not choosing the plan that I know I don't want. I understand that these people are just doing their job, but I really think that the culture of this store needs to change. I clearly don't have any insight into Verizon's research regarding what sales techniques are effective for them, maybe these aggressive, mechanical pitches work because everyone in the country has a phone and most people are idiots who might be made to think that these desperate, uniformed people who are repeating memorized lines are their friends. I hope this message gets back to whoever makes these decisions at Verizon, and someday we will live in a world where it actually seems more convenient to pay money to upgrade your phone than deal with your old one crashing every other day. At this point, I would rather just have it take me 60 full seconds to send a text message, as now, thanks to the three hours of my life that I've wasted talking to Verizon, I feel three hours closer to death. read more

This store sucks, like most of the VZW store models. You sign in and wait for an hour. Previously had this experience to return an item, wtf - this should be an instant transaction. Today was the worst, sign up and go away for an hour or more. Then I had the wonderful Daniellle, who just wanted to abandon me at the meer site of "confrontation". She couldn't handle a few soul searching questions on why Costco could give my wife 6gb of data for the price of 2, and they couldn't...unless I was already breaking the 2 gb barrier. Or why VZW couldn't do better on a family shared plan, like 6gb for price of 2, or why they want $30 to put a new phone on the account when I can bring my own phone and change up free of charge. All she could do is melt down and say she didn't want to serve me because I was confrontational... I was there to make a purchase but she couldn't handle it. I tried Apple store for iPhone upgrade afterwords, they were much more helpful but couldn't match the trade in valuation,I then went to Best Buy who were discounting iPhones by $75. I bought from them, good customer service, and I can fetch more for my iPhone4 on craigslist than as trade in. VZW are a joke. I even tried to upgrade at Centurylink store but they only do new connects, very nice customer treatment but VZW have locked them out of doing upgrades,what a shame,no 1 hour plus wait there. Next time I'm changing carrier, back to Sprint or Tmobile, I can't stand arrogance in customer service and that is all you get at VZW stores....you'd think they'd get a clue. I want to "feel the love" when I enter a store to spend a few hundred bucks, not to mention the monthly recurring fees...no such experience in this store. Costco is best for non Iphone deals, BestBuy actually have real deals on Apple products, unheard of I know - especially on iPhones (arrogance from Apple in this case), but check out BB for back to school, thanksgiving and at least this year, Christmas run up deals. I avoid VZW stores like the plague, though I have to acknowledge some helpful service in the Denver store...I have several phones on my family account and am responsible for several phones under a corporate account for testing mobile apps that we develop, so I get a lot of exposure to VZW...for better or worse. Overall they really don't seem to care about their customer...and that just makes my blood boil! read more

I was horrified by my experience here. I went to get a phone upgrade, and have never experienced worse treatment in a store. Everyone was extremely rude, especially an employee named Trey. I asked to speak to the manager and he wouldn't talk to me. I was in a hurry so I left, but called the store, again asking to speak to a manager. An employee named Kyle picked up and refused to let me talk to the manager, then went on to personally insult me. I would highly discourage you from visiting this location if you are looking for good service, helpful employees, or even to be treated with basic respect. These folks are rip off artists. I got a new i-phone, and store employee Peace Kim told me I could get a great deal on an I-pad. But he didn't tell me it would increase my bill for two years. I was fooled. I explained I would only use it thru wifi, but he sold me a plan with a new line instead. I brought it back to return the same day, and Mike Pacheco, the "solutions manager" was EXTREMELY rude. He did finally do the return -- literally after one hour of me insisting he not overcharge me and him trying to get me to pay yet more money to take the return (really?) -- but didn't undo the new line they had set up on my Verizon bill. I assume that's because Peace Kim gets a commission for each new add-a-line, and they hoped I wouldn't notice the extra $10 per month charge on my account. Can't speak much about the store as a whole but we had CJ helping us and he was AMAZING! He was so sweet and knowledgable and answered all of our stupid tech-knowledgeless questions. Set up 3 new phones for us, switched phone numbers from AT&T straight away, gave us multiple payment/plan options, and even helped us by giving a sim card to put into a phone we already have. When i first came in I was looking to switch to verizon and buy a new phone. I spoke with Trey and he was exceptionally helpful, guided me to exactly what i was looking for for the best price. He was very friendly and informative. I had trouble with my device initially but when i returned Trey, once again, exceeded my expectations and was very helpful in solving my problem. My phone was a dud but when i returned the 3rd time a very nice woman offered to replace my problem phone after telling her the circumstances. Overall, even with technical difficulties, I was very grateful to the staff and establishment for their service to me. Trey has wonderful customer service skills, very personable, friendly, effective and to the point. I would definitely recommend this branch to friends. read more

Worst Verizon experience I have ever had! My fiance and I went to the store together on a Sat night. We were in no hurry at all yet our customer service rep treated us like he couldn't get us out of the store fast enough. No one in the store was personable and every one looked tired and like they wanted to go home. I was buying my fiance the iPhone 4s for his birthday. They were out of the 16 so we paid $100.00 more to get the 32 because he wanted to use his phone that night. We left the store and 30 min later when he went to text he couldn't. He tried to make a call and he couldn't. We spent 30 on the phone with Verizon trying to get the phone to work. They didn't know what was happening. The next morning we tried again, this time we spent 2 hours on the phone while Verizon customer service reps tried to figure out what happened. They finally figured out the man that helped us at the store in Boulder never had us sign a contract!!! If you don't sign a contract your phone cannot be activated. You would think if you worked at a cell phone store you would remember to have the customer sign a contract. We wasted 2.5 hours on the phone over something that should have never been an issue. The worst part is the store manager made excuses for the employee instead of owning up to thier mistake. We will never be doing business at this store again!!! read more

They have no idea what they're doing. We wasted 3 hours going to the store, waiting for assistance in the store, being told we were not able to order a 5s on backorder without turning in our existing phone on the spot to be eligible for the trade and upgrade deal, and traveling back home empty-handed. We were told to call the store in a week when they are expecting a batch of phones separate from those already purchased to come in. I called, was placed on hold, then on hold again while the guy took another call. Turns out he's the manager, Mike Walsh, and his information was completely different from what his employee told us in the store. Apparently we ARE able to order the 5s now without having to turn our current phone in right away while waiting for the 5s to arrive. When I asked how to activate the new phone and transfer all information he just said he wasn't Apple and couldn't help me, all the while interrupting me constantly and not listening to my questions. He finally apologized for his unacceptable behavior and apologized for his ignorant employees, but not before I wasted so much time and energy trying to find the right answers; and I'm not confident I have them yet; they eroded the trust long ago. Beware of what this store tells you; they may be making crap up rather than saying they don't know and checking the facts. Very disappointed as a loyal Verizon customer. Hopefully ordering the phone and trading it in online will allow me to complete the exchange without having to go into this useless store again. read more

Horrible carrier. We have been with Verizon for perhaps 15 plus years. We have been paying $311.00 (family plan) for past 6 months ...guess should have been $231. My husband is terribly busy and has just been paying on line. Finally, I had. A chance to call Verizon horrible customer service and found out they had not removed $80 (2 phones) International charges for. Foreign travel back in September. I had arranged this service for 4 days at end of billing cycle and was told this would automatically be cancelled. Verizon would only credit us this month and of course, all they can say is they can't. do anything about it. We. Will definitely cancel and pay off. the one remaining IPhone and switch to. A different carrier. Also, the cell service where we live is awful so hopefully, a new carrier will provide better coverage. I am VERY unhappy with VERIZON!!!!!!!!! Very disappointing service. I traded in an iPad to upgrade to a new one because they were running a promotion and I was eligible to do so without penalty. I realized after some months that Verizon never disconnected the old iPad and they kept billing me for an iPad we returned four months previously. Admittedly we didn't check our bill until 4 months later but when we did we saw they were still charging us for a device we don't even have anymore. We went into the store and Philip Gibson the manager was not very friendly nor helpful. He said HIS policy (not the company's) was only to refund half of the overcharged amount. I found it totally unacceptable that they made a mistake and they wouldn't credit us for there mistake. He did not have any proof or reasoning for why it wasn't disconnected as it was supposed to nor for why he would only refund half. I believe a company should always act in the best interest of the customer and in this case, I did not feel that Phillip was willing to do that. We pay thousands a year to Verizon and bought many products through that store specifically. The fact that they couldn't do the RIGHT thing and refund us 100% is a poor way of doing business. Overall, I would avoid dealing with that store and this manager if you have any issues to resolve, you might have better luck elsewhere. read more
