Big fan of supporting locally operated, independent businesses, and Shieldmans deserves your backing. I've gone to them numerous times since moving to Boulder, and they have never disappointed, with keen awareness of their products. James just killed it for me recently, as he knew exactly how to fix a problem that I had, and then was able to recommend items that would best support my Pixel 2 mobile phone. I truly appreciate that level of customer service. It's not in an ideal location (second floor of a structure), but well worth the visit. read more

I recently bought my husband a new iPhone and needed a specific heavy duty protection case for it, of the same durable brand as on his old phone. The Apple Store does not sell this brand and recommended Shieldmans, a few doors down. I was aware of them and had stopped in recently to see what was on the market for serious back country protection. They were very helpful and agreed that the new model of the old case was still the best for that use, though it has been slimmed and styled a bit over the years and did not look as robust. Their stock was a bit low on color selection, but having checked the local big box sellers of this item before the new phone purchase, found them nearly sold out. So to get the color I wanted, and not drive all over town looking again, I paid a very small amount more. Absolutely worth the convenience. Also, the sales people were very friendly and knowledgeable and showed me how the multiple piece unit went together. read more

This shop is great for screen protectors and phone repair. I called three different places and Shieldmans had the lowest price to repair my iPhone screen. I love the accessories selection, they have great cell phone cases and chargers too. For me the best thing I like about this shop is the screen protector warranty program they offer. read more

Well, what can I say, they have tons and tons of cases, from cheap to spendy. Perhaps what the don't have are the gold plated and diamond dust varieties of cases. They also have some accessories if that's what you need. I was looking for charging accessories - they seem to have the low-quality economy versions of these items, so if that's what you need/want... I ended up passing on their chargers and will go find a higher quality source, although I have no reason to believe any of their products won't work perfectly well (for a while at least). I'm sure the staff will be quite helpful in finding a case within the cornucopia they have and helping you install it. Overall, I think this place is a great resource for those who like cases! RATE -5 I got a case the guy recommended and by the time I got home it had forced my screen protector off the screen so there was huge spots all over the iPhone so you couldn't even use it. Went to take it back and they wouldn't accept it because it had been used... Even when I specifically asked what their policy was on trying the case out they said no problem if you don't like it we'll take it back... THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Don't buy from these idiots I argued with this douchebag with glasses on for 20 minutes how I specifically asked about their return policy before I bought it and how I didn't want their piece of shit case and he wouldn't take it back. I came here immediately after getting my new 4S. I cracked the screen of my 3GS after taking it out of its OtterBox case a few months back. I knew I had to get an OtterBox for my new phone asap. These guys knew what they were talking about and they let me try out the different types and colors of OtterBoxes on my phone. They were super friendly and very helpful. If you are hard on your phones definitely get an OtterBox. read more

A while back I bought a basic plastic screen protector for my phone here. I paid an inflated price for it, as it was presented as having an unlimited lifetime warranty. I figured it was a decent deal, pay too much once then come get another free when it gets scratched up. Today I went in for my warranty replacement. The kid at the counter tells me that the warranty replacement is $3.00, or exactly what a screen protector costs anywhere else. Lame. I was deceived. They lost a customer for a few dollars profit. Wouldn't give a refund for a defective case, returned within 7 days. Store credit only. But, they don't carry a similar replacement. Bummer. I called the owner and was connected to the buyer, who said they would get something that would work for me, soon. Nothing. I've called them several times and have been promised a replacement, but three weeks later and they don't have anything. They don't answer their email. I like to support local, but Amazon would certainly give you a full refund for defective merchandise. Edit: I raised my rating because it looks like they are going to come through with a special order of replacement cases. Took about a month. read more

This place is pretty cool. It has a great selection not just on cases, but also a good range of accessories as well. They carry some good varieties from low to high end products so something for everyone. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I got myself a wooden case at a great price. I bought an iPhone screen protector here which they offered to replace for free for the life of the phone whenever it got scratched. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but I went by tonight to get a new screen protector and they appear to have gone out of business. So much for my great deal. I should've known a hyper specialized place like this couldn't compete. read more

A man claiming to be the owner was rude, arrogant and certainly not customer oriented. Whatever you do, don't point out something about the service that did not work for you. He 'knows how to run" his store. My politely delivered comments were e NOT welcome. A few days after posting my original comment, I received an email from someone named Adam expressing concern and asking for more information. He said he was an owner. I lost his email so did not respond. I am, however, revising my original post from one star to two. I had a lousy experience but perhaps you won't. read more

I usually need lots of opinions when selecting a phone case and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I bought my last few phone cases there and am completely satisfied with the quality. Don't waste your money here. I bought a basic case for my iphone 6 at this store and in just over a month it's broken. They didn't want to replace it and ask me to buy another one at half price instead. The reason was because they couldn't return it to the vendor. Well, that's not my problem, is it? Why buy such low quality goods? The store does not care about customer care and they sell the goods more than if you buy them online. Go to amazon for better quality cases at a much lower price--plus you can return them in 3 months if you're not happy. read more

My son bought me a case for the back of my IPad Mini for the holidays. Three of the four corners cracked within a month. It was never dropped - just regular everyday use. I brought it back to the store and they wouldn't exchange or return it. Said it was past the seven day return policy and that they can't take things back after that because of, "sanitary reasons." Not sure what that means. Is something less sanitary after the seven days? The girl at the counter was snippy and clearly didn't care about the customer or the defective product that was sold to my son. I will never set foot in the store again and neither will my son. I visited Shieldman's for a gift for my little brother around Christmas time, and these guys clearly care about what they do. That's all you can ask of a store, right? Their customer service was impeccable and they were much more personal than big box stores usually are. While I'd suggest shopping around for the best deals, Shieldman's usually has them, and they are one of the few places to have the Marley Family headphones--my brother loved his headphones and I'll definitely be coming back at some point. read more

Brookstone meets radio shack meets Verizon LOL! I Went there because my friend who works in the mall recommended them and I'm glad I did. I was looking for some headphones that I could wear to the gym and a little arm band for my phone so I could run without holding my phone or placing it in the cup holder part of the treadmill. I walked in and immediately saw walls on walls of cool stuff. From phone and iPad cases to cables toys and headphones- they literally had it all. Their selection was overwhelming. I had no idea there were so many options for earbuds!! I decided on some pink JVC Earbuds and they were only $7 bucks! I think I got hooked up a little because of my friend, but their prices were all amazing even without the discounts. They also have a ton of high end stuff like beats by Dre and a ton of cool speakers. The sales people were all very cool and knew what they were talking about. It's a Fun store to look around in even if you don't need anything. I give it 5 stars. read more
