The staff at the store were very friendly and helpful, especially Taylor who went above and beyond to assist us during our switch. Unfortunately, the overall experience with Verizon has been frustrating. We switched all of our phones from T-Mobile to Verizon in March and were told we'd receive an $800 credit per phone we returned, along with another promotional credit. We returned all phones within the first week, but as of July, we have not received any credits or reimbursement. Although we purchased the phones at a discounted rate, we were told that wouldn't affect the promotion. After calling Verizon multiple times, we were informed we should have received Visa gift cards and that the claim needed to be resubmitted. We did that, but we are still waiting months later with no resolution. The customer service at the store was great, but the follow-through on Verizon's end has been incredibly disappointing. I hope this gets resolved and that Verizon improves communication and consistency for future customers read more

Probably the worst cell phone company I've used compared to AT&T and T-Mobile. They're still trying to charge me $300 for a Wi-Fi box I returned the employees are awful and if you call to try to get someone on the phone, it's impossible. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Customer service is scammy at best and you can NEVER get a hold of a representative that lives in the same time zone or that is helpful. This is on behalf of my aunt that told me about her experiences. She had upgraded her phone recently and was told to purchase a wireless charger to save the battery from overcharging itself. The phone kept heating up and she kept returning to the store for help. They exchanged the charger, she tried other chargers and the phone kept overheating. After trying different chargers she didn't feel comfortable with the phone anymore and requested an exchange to another new device. Customer service told her she needs to take the phone to a repair location which Verizon would pay for. It's a new phone why would she need to take it to a repair location when it's within its return period. She went back to the store, this time DAN the manager came out from the back room almost yelling at her. Telling her "nothing is wrong with that phone!" She described a demeaning experience from DAN in front of the other customers and staff in the store. Being a retail GM myself I am absolutely disgusted by the way DAN treated my aunt, she's a calm low toned spoken person, there's no scenario that warrants a manager borderline yelling at a customer that is there for assistance. DAN needs to be retrained at minimum. I have encouraged my aunt to switch companies and cancel Verizon, she's been a long time customer and deserves so much better than Verizon and DAN the tiny man can provide. Attempted to upgrade my phone at this location but was unable to tolerate the lack of professionalism and arrogance of Logan. I left without an upgrade and Logan proceeded to call my personal line repeatedly until I answered and asked him not to call me again. I managed my trade-in through a third party Verizon store on Meridian Road but returned to this store as it is a corporate store to relinquish the phone I was trading in. I asked to speak with a store manager and the employee pressed me for more info. There was another employee, Waylon, who was eavesdropping on the conversation and apparently entertained by the situation began laughing. The young men working in this store are disrespectful, condescending and arrogant. Since the store made it uncomfortable to provide feedback to the manager on duty, Yelp is my only option. After starting a new plan, I went back into the store to purchase the phone, and the sales associate failed to tell me about all fees upfront. The cost of my phone plan differs from pricing I was told in-store at the time of purchase. I was told to go to this Verizon by customer service via a phone call since it's a corporate office and they would help better than the go wire less store. I was looking to upgrade/buy two phones and See what promo deals we had. The lady outside told me just to go on my app and see if I have a promo (which I clearly already know that's why I'm at the store.. to upgrade!) she told me they have an appointment in 3 weeks then the promo is over (really helpful). The only answer she had was to call tele services who I already have been on the phone with all last week. After today's experience I can say that the go wireless store helped me more than this one. It is hot outside. there is no shade, the sun is glaring down on me. Now, here I am a potential customer, Simply wanting information and she obviously met her quota for the day because she feels she can talk to a potential high paying customer ( I want to transfer four lines and get a line for a tablet, and all new Flagship phones, So yeah, she lost her company some serious money today from me. Me and my girlfriend both went in for the trade in promotion for the iPhone 15s about a week and a half ago because we had quite a bit of technical difficulties doing it online! When we went in, we were instantly greeted with a smile and a seat from an awesome guy named Dan! After about 30 minutes of trying to do it in-store without any help, Dan had an employee named Parker assist us with the rest of our transaction. Both of them were happy to help, and had us out of the store within an hour! Which as we all know, that NEVER happens when getting a new phone. With that being said, the store was extremely busy that day because of the promotion and Christmas coming up, and they still made time for us as walk-ins. If Dan or Parker aren't a manager, I highly suggest they get a raise. The rest of the employees on shift all seemed confused and uninformed on many questions we had, and were playing ball outside. I was having issues starting my service with Verizon and couldn't get resolution online or via phone calls. I stopped at this Verizon store at 280 N. Milwaukee. I felt lucky from the start as there was no line. I actually accumulated the assistance of 2 representatives within the first 2 minutes but ended up with Layth as my service assistant. He listened closely until I had explained my problem, quickly began a plan to help and within 20 minutes was installing my new SIM card while we played tag with the Verizon representative on the phone at their main customer resolution center. While he waited for the phone rep to progress through my sign up process, he engaged in light conversation. He was very personable and, most importantly, cut through any red tape to get my service up & running quickly. I know that each visit to a Verizon store will pair one up with a different service representative but, if you're lucky, you will get Layth to help you. read more

We were greeted upon entrance, and connected with a sales associate (Jason--totally awesome!) who helped us navigate the confusion that is smart phones. He was well educated on the phones and patient with us as we chose our phones. Then, upon check out, he even filled out the instant rebate forms for us, cut off the upc (to send in with the rebate form), and put it all in an addressed envelope--all we were to do, was add a stamp and send it off. Let me say I have been a customer for many years and a business customer for over 10 years. I have always had a good experience with Verizon until now. This round was adding 5 iPads and upgrading a phone, paying for it all out of pocket right then... It was a terrible experience, the store was not welcoming so that should have been my first red flag, but no I go in and proceed to tell them I want to purchase 5 iPads with unlimited data... They don't provide receipts, they don't have stock and they assure me my phone will stay working until I return from vacation (it was down by morning...) I receive my bill after they have already charged me for all the devices and I still have not received any emails with a receipt from that night and nothing in my bill shows what they did. I went on line to my account to see if I could find a copy of the transactions and nothing. I call in and they tell me at the 800 # I have to talk to the store and I call the store and get rerouted back to the 800 #. I try to set an appointment and they have no availability because of COVID... I don't think a pandemic excuses pore customer service and does not justify duplicity in not disclosing all charges. read more

I went to the Verizon store on Overland Rd. to purchase a new phone and sign up for a phone plan. They needed to get the phone I ordered so I went two days in a row. The first day Dan helped me and the second day it was Cody. Both were professional, helpful, knowledgeable and polite. They spent all the time I needed explaining every aspect of my purchase and what to expect from the service. I would recommended that store and those two young men to anyone. read more

My iPhone 7 has been acting up and I thought it was dying. Apps wouldn't open, screen kept freezing and not allowing me to swipe, wouldn't backup onto the iCloud, etc etc. I went in fully expecting that I would have to buy a new phone. When I arrived a young lady in a mask came out and greeted me, asked what I needed help with and took my phone number. I received a text saying I was checked in. It was about 4:20 and they close at 5:00. I waited about 10 minutes in my car and she came out and got me. A gentleman named John (Marine Veteran) was wiping down his station and said he would be with me shortly. We talked about what the phone was doing. He was able to get it to back up onto the Cloud and it is now working fine again. He was very helpful, friendly, personable. We chatted while my phone backed up. I appreciated his help, knowledge, didn't act rushed and walked me out of the store. It felt strange not being able to shake his hand as I left. If you need technical help. This Verizon store has been a continual disappointment to me. I ended up contacting Verizon directly and getting better service. I didn't understand that when I traded in my phone that I would lose my promotional credits (I was actually told something different over the phone). This store felt no empathy for my situation and offered zero solutions even though I have been a customer for a long time. They also couldn't help me when I needed to get a SIM card in order to activate a used phone that I had purchased for my son who is on my account. I purchased a new phone and the salesman kept trying to sell the phone warranty package. I declined the offering multiple times. He wouldn't take no for an answer. Finally I got my phone and accessories (paying more than quoted). When I got home, I learned that I was billed for the warranty services that were explicitly declined, multiple times. Luckily I was able call Verizon directly and have the extra cost and services removed. The Verizon service line was outstanding. However, this particular location clearly operates fradulently. My husband and I stopped by verison on Milwaukee today. The staff member (Andrew) was extremely rude and condescending. With all of changes that Verizon has made since we last got a new phone, we had a lot of questions. Andrew treated us like we were idiots. He acted like we were wasting his time. Horrible technical support associates that don't know how to read or listen. I asked Kevin to read the notes from my previous call to help me troubleshoot my Jetpack. He pretends to read and then ask me to do the same exact things that I've already did from the previous call. When I point this out to him, he laughs and says sorry. Then he ask how many users on the account. I tell him just me. Kevin then ask me to ask someone else in the house to try connecting. That's when I asked him to stop read from a script and actually help me. Kevin's reply was defensive and rude. He starts to argue with me and interrupt me when I try to talk. I, the customer, had to wait for him to finish talking so that I could ask for a supervisor to which Kevin immediately replied "He's busy! I'm looking at him right now and he's extremely busy!!!" WOW, I'm shocked! Kevin's argumentative and refusing the customer's request for a supervisor. I asked again for a supervisor and was TOLD his supervisor was too busy to talk to me! Someone's not listening to the customer. I have no time for this so I disconnected. When I called back, I immediately asked for a supervisor to which I received push back. I was told that I had to give him a chance to help before he could get a supervisor on. Ok so I have to play by Verizon rules. Ok, so I'm calling to report a rude employee. Would you like me to report you as being rude too? I was told that there was only one supervisor on duty and he was busy. It seems like this is the way Verizon treats their customers. I'm not going to get anywhere tonight. He tells me that if he was to go to his supervisor with the message that a customer wants to speak with him, his supervisor will give him dirty looks and tell him to go away. WOW! So I ask details about call volume, staffing numbers, average handle time, service levels, etc. because I manage a call center before and know how things work. He gives me bogus numbers and I called him out on it. That's when I informed him that he should drop the B/S because he's talking to someone who knows how a call center operates. He decides then that I'm not going away so he decides to listen to me. A call that should have only taken 8 minutes max took 93 minutes! I still can't use the Verizon Hotspot. I'm shocked at how Verizon values their customers and how their employees speak to the customers. If my employees speak to our customers the way Verizon employees do, my employees know they better be looking for a new job. Verizon employees are in need of some serious soft skills training. read more

You know, you simply have to expect to wait when going to Verizon. Seriously, plan for it. It's the only way to not lose your mind. My husband and me are not ones who trust upgrading/purchasing phones on line and having them shipped.. we've both worked in shipping (for UPS and DHL) and THANK YOU, NO. So we prepare whenever we have to go to Verizon. We charge our phones, wear comfy clothes and try and find a time when they are not simply slammed with people. The makeover of this location makes it MUCH more comfortable than it was, but you still have to wait until someone is available. Also, do your homework. Don't go in with your device and a mind devoid of what you are there for. Upgrading? Review the newest phones online. Having a problem with an existing device? Be able to ARTICULATE just what is wrong and what you expect done with it. Verizon employees are PEOPLE they aren't computers, the don't know everything and they are fallible. They have lives just like you and me and they may be having a bad day themselves. The folks at the stores also are NOT billing experts. You need to call in to discuss billing issues.
