It took me a while to finally write this review, but I'd like to share my experience so others are not as surprised as I was. Looking at the Yelp reviews I wish I would have read some of these before I booked. I think it says a lot about the company by their responses as I also found the company to be very defensive when relaying my unhappiness instead of taking some accountability. The most disappointing part was being charged double the amount that I was quoted (about $300 more and what I was quoted for a deep clean for my house). If you think your home is average, be warned that you will probably be told your house is extremely dirty. One reason they said they were charging extra is because there was "stuff on top of the fridge". I didn't expect them to clean on top of the fridge and they also didn't clean up there so I'm not sure why this was a reason for charging more. After being charged significantly more than quoted, I noticed spots on the mirror that were missed, areas in the shower that were still dirty, and some of the photos were dusted but not others. Before the cleaning I was told there would be 3 people cleaning our house, there were at least 5 people that came at all different times, coming in and out and slamming the front door several times after I had told them I had a toddler sleeping in a room. A couple of the cleaners had somewhat inappropriate conversations about someone's mental health and politics. Additionally I heard things fall on the hardwood floor pretty loudly several times. Overall it was just a really disappointing experience. We were getting our house cleaned to get ready for our new baby and to help us relax but the whole situation was just stressful and I found to be somewhat of a waste of money. They are on time. EFFICIENT and the way it's suppose to be done. Never a complaint feel safe with them in my home!!!!

We had guests coming in during a particularly busy time for my wife & I at work, so we hired them to get the house in shape. Specifically, we asked them to only clean the downstairs of our house. I should have known that something was up when they told us that they base the cost on the full size of the house if they're only cleaning part of it. We were quoted $212 for just the downstairs. OK - a little steep, but I also get that it's a one-time thing, so for a good job that seemed OK. Here's what they did for $212: cleaned our main living area (wood) with our cleaner and our solutions. Vacuumed. Swept. Partially dusted (appliances and furniture had visible areas that were untouched). Wiped counters, but left residue and left crumbs under small appliances. Cleaned the toilets, I guess, that we cleaned the day prior to save them the worst of the work. Cleaned the shower and, somehow, left it needing more cleaning after the fact. We cleaned the shower prior, and they did something that left a powdery residue (cleanser?). They didn't appear to touch the shower fixtures. The kitchen counters were covered with residue from whatever they cleaned with and we had to re-clean them. They *were* here for some time (according to my holder children), but I have no idea why they were here so long. This felt like about 4 person-hours of work for $212...over $50 / hr. But even so, that's not really the issue. After the fact, we got a call from someone from the business that they were tacking on another $120, because our house was a "4". To be fair, we were in a time crunch and we agreed to their assessment, so we knew this was a possibility, but there is no question we were taken advantage of. It may well be that if you use them regularly its fine, but we are talking about $332 for a little over 2000 square feet. If you're cool with paying $332 for a pretty substandard cleaning job, this might be the service for you. I do appreciate the ease of the transaction, and we did get *some* cleaning done in advance for our guests, but the overall quality is pretty poor/limited and the price seems very high. To be clear: there were 2 people here more than 2 hours. So I'm not saying it was actually 4 person-hours we paid for...I'm saying the actual work done shouldn't have taken nearly that long. It was a shakedown. --------update------- In Denise's comment she suggests these pictures were not from the parts of the house that they cleaned, but they are. They are all from the downstairs, and they are all from rooms that were cleaned. They just did a shoddy job. But, thanks Denise for your condescending response. Way to treat your customers. Folks - to be clear, we were charged $332 dollars to clean a downstairs that contained 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a great room, a dining room, a mud room, a laundry room and a kitchen. ALL of my photos are from those parts of the house. A very high price for very poor work, and a response from the business that is basically calling me dishonest. I mean - look at my pictures - there's one of our refrigerator...there's one of an espresso machine...there's one of a toaster oven....would those be upstairs in our house? It's bad enough that the service is poor, but basically denying it and calling me a liar is next level. Run away from these awful people. read more

I will never book here again and cannot recommend this company. I am extremely disappointed with Dream Clean Maid Services. I booked a cleaning for my sister's house and I was majorly taken advantage of. I am happy to pay the original amount I agreed to pay, but they tacked on enormous, additional, surprise fees without ever contacting me beforehand, even though they claim that they tried to. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer and I could never recommend this company to anyone. The practice of tacking on enormous fees based on subjective levels of cleanliness is a TERRIBLE business strategy. I wish I could say that my concerns were resolved when I reached out to customer service, but instead they treated me like trash. I really hope others spend their money elsewhere and don't make the same mistake I did. read more

When the Dream Clean team is at my house, I feel stress and anxiety leaving my body! They are phenomenal, thorough, expedient, detailed, and extremely polite. I have had had different housekeepers clean our house in the past who cost a little less, but don't do nearly as good of a job as Dream Clean. Do yourself a favor and invest in your own self-care by hiring them. Best decision I made in all of 2021. read more

I was not happy with my service with Dream Clean. I paid for the deep clean only to find major spots of mess left behind that were supposed to be included. I sent pictures into the team and my response was these items were attempted but couldn't be clean. I had asked the cleaners to let me know when they were finished. Which they did but I would have been less mad about the "hard" spots if they brought it to my attention before they left. Then I received a call saying they were going to charge me $100 more for the service because of the extra work. I couldn't believe this because certain spot weren't even cleaned!! The rep said he would give me a $50 credit. After sadly agreeing to this I told him I just need to transfer the funds. He said they payment will go out 7pm. The payment went out at 6:20pm and now I have over draft fee. I would never recommend this place! read more

Use at your own risk! I had them over a couple of times until I had a gift card go missing. I wanted to cancel until I was sure I hadn't misplaced it. I didn't feel comfortable having them back until I was sure what happened. While I cannot say specifically that they took it, they had an opportunity to do so and it did disappear and I never found it. They charged me a cancellation fee which I was fine with because I cancelled within 72 hours - but they responded by saying "we will take 50%." I asked for an actual amount they planned to take- not just "50%" and let them know at that time that I was cancelling because of the missing gift card. I never asked them to waive the fee, just specify what it was. I never outright accused their maids of stealing, because I could not definitively prove it, but their emails became antagonistic and defensive, basically calling me a liar and only making the accusation to get out of the cancellation fee. None of which was true. I simply wanted to know how much they planned to charge (if not the $100 in their contract) and let them know of my situation with the card. I am troubled that any company would react this way with a customer. I liked my maids. Never had issue with their work. I just can't believe their company had such an apathetic attitude and actually tried to imply that I was lying about it. They even said that they couldn't see my Echo Dot (where I left the gift card) was not visible in any of their photos so I must be lying about that too. Use them at your own risk. I am still not saying their maids stole the card, it could have been thrown out by some freak accident-but if you do find something missing you can surely expect the company to call you a liar. **And because this company likes to respond to all of their negative reviews with some "defense" of their practices, please let me say in advance that implying that your customers are lying about being violated in any way by theft or loss is a terrible business practice and indefensible. There wasn't one iota of concern whatsoever of my loss- but and immediate accusation that my claim was "Suspicious" really? So however they may respond is really irrelevant. Customers don't deserve to be violated twice...first by the loss, then by calling them a liar. read more

Have been a customer of dream Clean for a year and had a positive experience until today, when I was informed that I will be charged a flat rate based on the square footage of my house, despite that I am Only have less than half the rooms cleaned, making is less than half the square footage of my house plans. I am happy to pay for the square footage that is being cleaned, but to be charged for tbe entire square footage regardless is illogical. read more

First the positive - they were efficient, the email reminders were well done and the multiple team(s) were timely. They did the job in 1 1/2 days. I was grateful that they were able to squeeze us in before year end. They did an excellent job of deep cleaning. Now the reason they did not get a 5 Star rating from me. When I normally get an estimate for a job - I want my quote to be one price. Not ala carte. I also don't want to be involved in every single detail. Isn't that their job? I dealt with a woman named Denise. When I placed my order I told Denise that I would do the cabinets initially myself. There was one room that I didn't get to do so I tried to add this on last minute. I would gladly have paid extra but she said that they could not do it. They would have to do ALL of the homes cabinets and were not able to do one section only. It was against "company policy". Really? Isn't house cleaning part of their scope of work? Oh well! She wasn't going to budge. So - are they good? Yes! Do you have to pay attention to every single detail when you place your order? Yep - be very specific- and don't try and change it up. This company is a gem. I called Dream Clean when handy.com notified me at 6 am that the house cleaner I had booked for a move-out cleaning at 7 am couldn't make it. It's my last few hours in Boise before relocating to another state. If I don't find someone, I'm probably going to lose my security deposit. I desperately started calling every house cleaning service I could find on google. Of course at 6 am, no one is awake and I just get voicemails. But at 8:08 am, Denise from Dream Clean calls me and said that they normally aren't open on Saturdays, but she heard how desperate I was in my voicemail, and she would come to help me out of the unbelievable situation the other company had put me in. I didn't think that this type of person or company existed anymore. I'm still pretty dumbfounded about the whole thing. I wish I could give 10 stars. read more

I used Dream Clean's move in cleaning service and was absolutely thrilled. They were very professional and friendly. The house was quite dirty after the last owners moved out. The cleaning far exceeded my expectations in fact they were so good, that I will be using them regularly as my maid service. They really made a stressful time for me much easier. I gifted my mom a cleaning service for her birthday, and was quoted $157 which seemed fairly reasonable for her 1200 square foot home. When they arrived at the house, they let her know that it would actually be $257 because her home was not as clean as they anticipated and they would not be able to "half clean" her home. She told them to leave her house immediately and they left without cleaning anything. I called because I had already been in contact with the office manager, Chase, and explained that my mom was very upset and no services had actually been performed and to clarify that there wouldn't be any charges and the recurring (1x a month) service would be discontinued. He said that we weren't part of any recurring services but I would be charged their $75 cancellation fee. I let him know I would be disputing that charge and I plan on filing a BBB complaint because I don't agree to pay for services not rendered. Chase let me know I would be sent to collections for the full balance (which is fraudulent, I've worked in collections for years). Typical scam however extremely disappointed to try to utilize a local small business and get this kind of treatment. Should have gone with Molly Maid or literally any other company and saved everyone the trouble! read more
