Worst company to deal with. Been with century Link internet services for years.Decided working from home might have been a good thing for me. I ordered a phone line that was supposed to have no amenities including no long distance. After many phone calls and alot of stress and frustration I am still stuck with an extremely high bill for long distance calls. I even tried working with them to rebill me for unlimited long distance. THEY DO NOT CARE. I will and am looking at other providers. Run away from this company as fast as you can. read more

I had never have any experiences worst than this company they lie and cheat and scam you out of your money and they have the worst services ever, everytime you need to call them be prepare for at least 3hrs phone call and hang up like 5 times before they can solve your problems, even when you chat with them online. On the phone with the main call center, I was transferred to service and was on hold 48 minutes before I hung up. I've had this problem with Century Link before(more than once) so I stayed on hold just to see how long they would keep me holding. I finally called the office in the mall here in Boise, was put on hold again!!! The absolute WORST customer service! When I find out how much longer my contract is, I will pay the remaining fee, just to get rid of them! read more

Worst customer service I've experienced. TJ (or JT) must of had a bad case of the Monday's. He had no concern on helping me with my issue. He said he would look into my problem and before I had a chance to speak with him he just transferred me to CenturyLink customer service so I could sit on hold. The line dropped and I called back and he quickly transferred me again before I could even get a word in to ask him a question. I hung up because I didn't want to sit on hold all day and called back. He tried to send me again but then actually listened for a second. Pretended to see what the problem was and then said he couldn't figure it out and had to transfer me to customer service. His customer service transfer was a hang up. I called again to explain that he accidentally must have hung up, he picked up the phone and hung it on me. My roommate and I moved to Boise and we're transferring her brothers wifi service over to us and when he called, CenturyLink told us it would be no issue at all to get it changed to our name and address. We have called the general help line to try and get it set up with no answer and then we resorted to calling the local store were told that a crew member would be out that day to get it connected. We then waited four days with no word back from CenturyLink. We called again on a Monday and were told that there was never even a work order put in to come connect our wifi and the name change on the account was only half way done correctly. Then we were told that someone would be out that Thursday- no one came or contacted us. When we called this morning (the following Monday) we were told we would have to wait another week and a half before someone would be out to connect our wifi. There has never been any explanation as to why we are still waiting two weeks later (plus another week and a half coming up) for service or why we have either encountered mistake after mistake or have been straight up lied to by CenturyLink. There has never been an apology or any other acknowledgement that our service had been messed up. In short- not only do we STILL not have wifi, but the customer service has been awful as well. I would not recommend CenturyLink to anyone. They have been an absolute mess, with still no positive outcome. read more

This is without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with any internet company ever. You have to wait weeks before they can even come out to flip a switch and turn the service on. I was not even informed of this ridiculously far away date when I initially signed up. I have since called back to sort the issue out and they can't move the date up without cancelling your entire order and it is still not going to be soon. Now I'm stuck waiting without Internet... I would not ever recommend them to a friend. The prices really are too good to be true. read more

There is not a low enough number of stars for me to give Century Link. Wish I could give a negative 10 start review. BE AWARE of their sneaky billing practices if you ever cancel service. We switched to Cable One (which has been outstanding in speed and customer service by the way), and I called ahead to get the exact date to do this so as to not incur next month's charges. I received small bill in error after that, and called again and was told by an agent that he would zero out the bill. Just received another bill today with an additional amount. Called AGAIN and was told too bad that they never zeroed out the first bill and I now owed the second amount. I could tell the agent was getting mad at me because I reminded him of the names and dates of who I spoke to and simply ask that he honor what other customer service reps told me. He finally transferred me to a department that had nothing to do with my call. So way to go Century Link, I decided 45 minutes on the phone was all of my life I was going to give up to you today. But believe me it will cost you much more in good will; since if I am ever asked I will absolutely not recommend this company and will direct anyone and everyone to run in the other direction before signing up with Century Link. read more
