I'm not sure if this is the right location if not, I would appreciate it if the manager of this…read morelocation would locate Dan by his employee ID. to pass along his 5 Star Yelp Review to his supervisor or manager "Thank you" Dan - Employee ID AC19173 stated he works remote for the State of Idaho. Dan really exceeded my expectations in every category. Professionalism A+ communication A+ Dan is great at his job and seems to love what he does by his approach dealing with me today as I was very upset!! I called Century Link, the first call I kept requesting to speak with a supervisor BUT the rep refused to transfer my call, after 25 minutes she hung up on me !!!! her name was Nathelia !!!!!! (Not sure the spelling of her name) My issue I live in Las Vegas, Nevada I received an email stating I owe $517.82 for services that were disconnected in Alamosa Colorado, I confirmed with my son his internet is active plus he provided me a screen shot of a payment made in June to CenturyLink. I was furious thinking Century Link was double dipping two people for the same address. I had the Better Business Bureau website up to file a complaint. once I explained my situation to Dan. November 2021 i called to get a quote for my son who resides in Colorado, if Christopher (my son) has to pay a deposit due to his credit, I don't mind setting up the account under my name, when Christopher gets off of work later that evening, he will call Century Link to set up an account, if need be they can call me on a 3way call, if I need to put the account under my name. The supervisor I spoke to that day confirmed no account will be set up until Christopher calls CenturyLink. The supervisor took it upon himself and created an account under my name without my approval, not only that he put the street number incorrect. After Dan confirmed my son Christopher has an active account plus the account set up under my name was set up incorrectly. CenturyLink credited the past due balance of $517.82, Century Link will update the credit bureaus! Dan should be promoted to the escalation department by the way he presented himself as I was furious with the previous rep hanging up on me and thinking CenturyLink was double dipping on the same address. Great Service, Thank you .... DAN Employee ID AC19173

I've been a paying customer of CENTURY LINK Landline Telephone Service and CENTURY LINK Internet…read moreService since August of 2021. I used the AUTO PAY system for over 4 years -- which means my payments were always on time. We moved from our Star, Idaho residential address -- 10 minutes away to an Eagle, Idaho residential address. I began the process of transferring my existing Landline Telephone service, one whole month IN ADVANCE, to make sure there would be a seamless transition with no interruption of service. Since that time, I've had NOTHING but one headache after the next with Century Link. No one within the Century Link Company is able to give me a straight answer or an intelligent explanation as to WHY service at our new residence still hasn't been established???? Obviously, it's because they SIMPLY CANNOT period. Obviously they do NOT provide service where I now reside. Why can't they just SAY this? Why can't they just give their customer a straight and honest answer???? Instead, they've been stringing me along for over 2 months now. Meanwhile, the TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT I DEPEND ON, remains in limbo. I've tried to PORT my phone number and Century Link ABSOLUTELY REFUSES accommodate this request. I have 5 pages of notes from the numerous calls I've made including the various dates and various names of different representatives that I've spoken to. BOTTOM LINE: The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing over there in "CENTURY LINK-LAND". What a sad and truly messy situation they must be in right now. I would hate to be employed by a company that has infuriated their customers to this extent. They clearly have some very serious administrative problems currently taking place at the Executive or Corporate level. What a terrible shame.

Now known as "Clear" I met two very nice and helpful representatives as they were going door to…read moredoor offering a 2 day free trial of Clear Internet Service. Despite the fact that they blatantly ignored the 'no soliciting' sign on our door, I was interested in what they had to say. I invited them in and introduced my husband. 90 minutes later we were set up for our free TWO day trial (they had trouble getting us set up for some reason and stayed until everything was working). My husband and I have been looking to cut costs and initially I thought Clear was offering a better deal than what we are currently paying Cable One. After reviewing our Cable One bill, I found we are actually paying less with them than we would with Clear, but still I was willing to consider staying with them (I abhor monopolies and would rather not pay Cable one for two services) However two things happened today that have closed the door on that possibility. 1. This afternoon I got a call from a Clear rep wanting to 'set up our new account'. I politely informed her that we were in day one of our TWO day trial and we were still considering keeping the service. She seemed okay with that. *However* 2. When we got home after work. we were blocked from using Clear. I called the ONE number I had been left, the one for the junior associate who was here for the install. An hour and a half ago he said "I need to call my supervisor. I'll get back to you". Fifteen minutes ago I reconnected our Cable One modem, removed Clears' equipment and when I DO hear back from the folks at Clear it will be to tell them to come get their equipment as we are NOT choosing them for our Internet service. So far as I'm concerned they started out strong but failed miserably after we took the bait.

Clear is a good value for home internet, but the local customer service is incompetant, although…read moreeager to please. After a week of dealing with local service, and not getting things setup correctly, I spent an hour on the phone with a call center and got things squared away. The highlights; Phone + Internet for ~$60/mo after taxes (vs. Cable One at ~$95/mo) Acceptable bandwidth, good enough for streaming Netflix, though slower than Cable. Have seen 300-1000kbps, vs. typical 1500kbps with Cable. We are in a more outlying area though that isn't technically in the service area. This is with 4 or 5 bars out of 5 possible signal. I paid $80 for the modem, so as to avoid $5/mo lease charge, and to stay out of any contract. Now, if I want to cancel, no penalty (but have a useless modem, and out the $25 startup fee. My WiFi router and Phone connection is no longer tied to the cable connection in my wall, instead are tied to an acceptable signal location. 2 week cancellation period was enough to get service up and running, including the phone transfer, so it was fairly risk-free, though the phone would have been disruptive if I'd decided against keeping the service. Lowlights... took me too long to figure out to ignore the local rep and go directly to corporate for account help.
