July 27 - Screen went blank. Took back in and was repaired for free bc I had my receipt. He said Cellairis does not apply glue when reattaching the screens after they fix it. So this problem is going to happen to every phone they fix. Called the Cellairis customer service line during their business hours (10:20a ET) and got a message machine. Be very wary of this place. Everyone was cool, helpful and friendly. Somehow you feel more pressured in a big store when browsing compared to a much smaller place. At the same time, maybe since the staff aren't split up into departments, they all seem capable and knowledgable from product to checkout. I buy online mostly but I'm always happy to shop in person, though I'm sure Radio Shack doesn't seem cutting edge these days, they've still got the most obscure replacements for your stuff to some decent sales. For a huge selection, go to Amazon, but to fix something or feel comfortable making an easy return, I hope Radio Shack sticks around.

I called and the woman who answered (second ring, by the way, no long drawn-out introduction message) listened patiently and empathetically as I went on, and on, and on, about how embarrassed I was and I knew better, etc. She assured me Epoch would be happy to make it all better. No pressure or hype, just bring the laptop in and Epoch will take care of getting rid of any malicious software that the hackers loaded onto my hard drive. I did that and in less than 24 hours (yes, a little $$$ extra for expedited service) my laptop was clean as a whistle. Matt and Doo Yen were wonderful. So pleasant and patient which is exactly what I needed. This hacking event spurred me on to get a new desktop and Matt came and picked up both the old and the new desktop and brought it back the next day with all of my files loaded onto my new machine. Matt made it easy for me to access all of my files which is amazing if you've ever had to bring all of your files over from an old computer to a new one. I am up and running again (I work part time for a lawyer) and I feel assured my machines are clean and running at peak speed and Epoch turned a very stressful situation into a happy ending. Thank you Matt and Doo Yen for keeping my spirits up and saving the day!

I don't mind the prices associated with the cost of doing business with Verizon, I used to believe that I was paying in part for the fantastic customer service.. I'll just deal with Best Buy or a smaller Verizon store in the future. Still a reliable service, I'd just steer clear of this location given the option.

I am appalled by the complete lack of compassion and basic competence at this location…read more Like most companies, Verizon aggressively pushes customers to enroll in paperless e-billing and automatic payments. But when a customer passes away, their loved ones are locked out of those accounts, left completely in the dark about upcoming automatic charges and billing details. After recently losing my parent, I took care of responsible measures and alerted Verizon over a month ago that he had passed away. Despite this, I received a bill addressed to him that included a $30 returned check fee triggered by their system trying to process payments on an account we were trying to settle. I went into the store to handle his affairs in person, and it was a nightmare: A 40-minute wait: I sat waiting for 40 minutes, only for the exact same employee who made me wait to finally pull up the bill. Unfair fees: When he told me the $30 charge was a returned check fee, I pointed out that Verizon had already been notified of his death over a month ago. I clearly stated I was happy to pay the legitimate balance owed, but charging a deceased person's account a fee after being notified of their passing is absurd. Zero help or empathy: His response? A literal shrug and "There's nothing I can do about that." When I asked who could help me resolve it, he just shrugged at me again. Forcing people into e-billing makes it impossible for families to manage a late relative's affairs, and to be met with such apathy and laziness by store staff while dealing with a loss is disgraceful. Avoid this location at all costs. To the "Verizon Business Owner" who replied. Nice line to save face however how does that correct the issue?
