Go see johnny and the Cory and all of there staff at Verizon! The people are nice as can be, and the store is super chill! Sometimes when I go into a phone store people are grouchy and unpleasant... not the case at this location. I go out of my way to come to the South Park Meadows location. If I could give no star I would. I went into this Verizon store to do a upgrade and Aimie or Amy took care of me. I'm guessing she really hates her job. Maybe she doesn't want to make commission. She would not look at me, and seemed extremely inconvenienced. She said what's wrong with the phone. I said, nothing I'm just ready to use my upgrade. For someone who works in customer service, she was just so rude. I decided to walk out, and go to a different store. She's lucky I really like Verizon because all 4 of my lines are out of contract this month. I waited in line for 30 minutes at this location to upgrade my iPhone. There were several employees walking around. Not one could be bothered to help me. I walked out after the third employee looked right at me and went into the "back room". I will be switching to another provider after this awful lack of service. read more

June 2014: Let me start off by saying that this is the BEST Verizon store I've been to in the Austin area!!! Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I originally came into the store in June of 2014 to add a new line of service. I was pleasantly greeted by a gentleman by the name of Andrew. Andrew helped guide me through my phone selection and answered all of my questions (and I had tons). I was going back and forth between the S5 and the Note3. After I finally made my decision on my phone selection, now it was onto accessories. He helped me pick out a case and even talked me into buying the tempered glass for my phone. He took time out to let me try on different cases and even offered to put the tempered glass on my new phone. Upon closing of my transaction, he asked me if I worked for any preferred employers. I told him where I was employed and got a discount off of my plan and accessories. Before I came in, I didn't even know about a discount based on where you work (and I've been with them for a year). I was very happy with the outstanding service I received that day and left the store very excited about my new phone. August 2014: I came into the store yet once again, to add a new line of service. This time a young lady helped me because Andrew (my original salesman) was busy. She also did a great job. I felt a little rushed but it was ok. I chose my phone and she finalized my sale. I wanted to get some accessories but I knew she was getting ready to go home for the day. I came back the next day and was greeted by Junior (I think that's his name), a very helpful and friendly guy. I came there to buy the accessories for the phone and to have the tempered glass put on my new phone. Andrew assisted me with the installing of the tempered glass as Junior supervised. I guess there was a bad batch that came in because he went through four packages to find the perfect one for my phone. The time that they spent with me was very much appreciated. They made sure that all my questions and concerns were taken care of. Their professionalism, product knowledge and customer service was superb. I left a very happy customer and will return soon for my new gadget. So I visited this store a week ago and bought a phone. The good things, It was a quick visit. I went in knowing what I wanted and the store guy helped me, he was great. I wish I took his name. The bad stuff, The manager. So the first guy that helped me, asked if I wanted any of the extras, like a case or the protection for the glass. I said no thank you that I know cheaper places to get it. The manager took over the transaction at the till once he heard me say this to the store clerk. The conversation went like this. Do you need a case? *No. What job do you do? *(I told him) So you know the risks of your phone breaking right? *It hasn't happened in years so far You know the risks of sweat on the phone right? *Yes, but I don't want the extras. How come? *I can buy it cheaper online. But we sell the real product here. Online will be fake imitations *Well they have done me well so far This is an expensive phone, do you know how much it will be to replace it? *Yes, but I do not want the extras, I can get them online. But ours is real glass. It will protect the front of your phone and it is covered by warranty. *No thank you. We'll even install it here while you wait. *No, thank you. Well I have been told that I jinx people, seriously, I have people come back here all the time telling me that. But if you don't want it, that is your choice. *No, I don't want it. I can cut you a deal, I can reduce the price.. *I really don't want it I was so close to going else where to buy my phone. The manager was a complete moron. The case would have cost me about $75, the sticky plastic that goes on the front another $25. $100 in all. Online I bought a case, an extra charger, a car charger, a car window mount, plastic to stick on the front all for $15. (Including postage) If anyone from Verizon contacts me about this review and confirms my suspicions by telling me that this manager is in fact mentally handicapped, I will remove this post. Terrible service. I went in on Wednesday to ask the sales associate to explain something to me concerning my phone. He stood rather far away from me as if I had a disease and refused to touch my phone. I asked him to show me how to do some things and he insisted I had to do it myself. He talked down to me as if I were a child. I offered to buy something so he would help me, but he said it was not necessary, yet he still didn't really answer any of my questions. I asked about the newer phones and he didn't seem interested in providing any information. He dismissed me as if I was a bother to him. read more

I went in twice, to see about upgrading our family plan. I signed in and ended up waiting for over an hour both times and leaving. I'm not even really sure it was the staff's fault because there were maybe 3 people working and around 9 customers waiting to be helped(a lot of them left), although the staff did spend an awfully long time with the customers they were with. While I was waiting I never even had an update on how much longer I'd be waiting. I'm not sure if this location just needs to hire more people or train their existing staff to work more efficiently, but something needs to change. IF YOU CAN, AVOID THIS LOCATION! read more

The frustration of this experience is beyond words but I will try to explain. I signed into the store being told I had 3-4 people ahead of me. I waited there for about 30 minutes as over 5 people went ahead of me. I asked where I really was in line and they said I was just two people away. 20 minutes later, I finally saw someone. When I saw the person, I knew the exact phone I needed. I had previously went to an authorized retailer before but because the salesperson was so pushy, I walked out and decided to go to an actual Verizon store. That was a huge mistake. The offer I had been given by the salesperson at the authorized retailer was not the same at the official Verizon Store. I was told I would still need to pay another $70 (vs. $0 at the authorized retailer). In addition, the phone was also being offered for $0 on VZ's website but I was told that they could not honor what verizonwireless.com offered and could only offer what their stores were allowed. I was told to try to order the phone online and have it in store delivered. I went online to get the phone and have it in store delivered but kept getting an error message. I tried to use the online chat customer support but they could not help. I was then told to call in. I called into Verizon to find that I would have to pay another $50 (not $0 like the authorized retailer or $70 at the official store). I then told them how awful my day was with getting this phone and how oddly inconsistent the pricing was across each channel and he told me that the in-store person at the official Verizon location made a mistake and should have matched the offer online. The person on the phone then finally matched the deal. This is hands down the most non-sensical and most inefficient run business that purports to enable the latest technology for consumers to communicate w/ each other. What a complete joke. It's unfortunate that the company with the best network has all of us being held at ransom with their terrible and inconsistent services and exorbitant fees and costs. read more

Okay, so I am changing my review...Rodney flat out lied about how quickly the $300 we paid, from our online order, would go back into our account when he cancelled it. He assured us that it would be put back in that same day within an hour or so...BUT reality is....it took a full 9 DAYS to get our money back in there...the ONLY reason we bought the different phones from HIM and paid another $300 was because he assured us that the other order was cancelled and our money would go right back in immediately. Well, like dummies, we believed him and went Back-To-School shopping for our son and shopping for our daughter's baby shower. We ended up going negative in our account. When speaking to the Verizon Customer Support, he said that Rodney should have known better because refunds NEVER happen that quickly, especially online orders that can take 7-9 days. Now I know why there were so many bad reviews about him on here. THE ONLY REASON I am still giving 2 stars is because he did get me a 20% discount off of Data because of where I work. I am shocked to see so many bad reviews on here. What I witnessed and experienced in the store today from each employee was wonderful, great customer service. I added 2 new lines with 2 Galaxy S5 Certified Pre-Owned phones today for my teenage boys on the myVerizon website. Right after doing so, I went to the Southpark Meadows store to see if they would allow me to do a store pick-up instead. The Store Manager (I think it starts with an 'R'), came right up and immediately offered to help. They didn't have the Pre-Owned S5's in stock, but he and Rodney showed me 2 new iPhone SE's for just a FRACTION more. I also ended up getting MORE data for LESS money. We definitely got a much better deal at the store. Rodney even checked to see if my company offers a discount, AND IT DID!!!! I got an extra 20% off of the monthly cost of data all because he cared enough to check. I would have never even known about that extra discount if it weren't for Rodney. He and the Store Manager are AMAZING!!! They both far exceeded my expectations! Rodney is fantastic! I kept apologizing over and over again for being a pain, and he would say "This is what I am hear for...I live and breathe this stuff". Rodney and the Store Manager were GREAT!!! read more

So, I went to Verizon to have my phone data transferred: Verizon employee: We don't transfer data anymore, I can provide you written instructions to do it yourself. I am moving from Verizon Internet to another company. In my area, south of Austin, they only can furnish DSL. Although it is supposed to be 1 -3 mbs per/sec down-load speed which is really slow, at peak use times in the evening it locks up and you can forget using their service. It is not high speed internet and it is a marginal internet service at best. read more

We have been going to this store since it opened years ago. However, tonight will be our last time. Rodney entered our name on a list at the desk and we were quite happy to wait until our name was called. After 20 minutes, a clerk walked up to someone else, asked if they were signed in, they said no, but the clerk said he would help them anyway. We would have been somewhat ok with this, except another 30 minutes passed. 2 salesmen were wandering around not doing anything but said we would be next. We left. Kyle Domangue lied through his teeth to me. Unfortunately it was passed the 14 day return period before I realized how bad it was. I switched from Sprint to Verizon and it's going to cost me over $1,000 more than he said it would (4 phones). I even made a spreadsheet to summarize all the changes, and he agreed it was right. I guess Verizon has me locked down and he has his commission, so he can laugh his way to the bank like the employees that laughed at me as I left the store. read more

I went here a few weeks ago to help my mother purchase a new phone. She's been a long time customer and she accidentally dropped her phone. The phone cracked and no longer worked. My mother had a two year contract on one line and didn't really want to sign another contract on the line with the broken phone. The sales rep told my mother since there was no insurance, she'd have to purchase a new phone for $400-$500. According to the rep, my mother could also purchase a phone elsewhere, bring it into the shop to have it assigned to her phone number, pay an activation fee, and sign a two year contract....again. The representative was disinterested in helping as soon as my mother told her that she didn't have $400 to spend on a phone. We were the only customers in the shop and she acted as if she just couldn't be bothered with actually doing her job. I tried to ask a question and she told me, "well, if you'd listen to me, I'm trying to explain." So, I listened only to have to tell her that she didn't answer my initial question because SHE didn't listen to me. I was surprised at the level of incompetence and flat out rudeness. We left the shop, called into verizon and canceled the line. I'll never visit the shop again and because of her piss poor attitude, T-Mobile gained a client. read more

Verizon is just trying to be the top monopoly of cell phone companies everywhere. First let me clear that I had sevice with them since I retired from the military (for a total of five years) and then recently (for another 3 years) ONLY because of their excellent service coverage. Their customer service is at times good but most of the time poor. Every single time its time to upgrade or renew your contract, they try to upcharge everything to the point where you'll wind up paying over $150 more than you were paying them before. If the employees cannot upsale you anything, they completely lose interest in you. I recently cancelled my contract because they now have this new system of asking for verification of your military status that cannot be done in the store and then is nearly impossible to do on their website. The last sales lady who guaranteed me a price while I was trying to renew my contract surprised me once again with a $150 price increase when we got to the counter. That was the last straw for me. P.S. I switched to T-Mobile. Their coverage is way better than it used to be and their prices are way better. read more

There is an employee there named Kyle Domingue, and if you happen to go to this store, DO NOT let him sell you anything. Talk to a different salesperson. I went in this store a couple of months ago to get the new iPhone 8 and worked with Kyle. First off, he lied and told me that since I had the iPhone 6S Plus, there had been software updates and that when it did one more update, the OS wouldn't work on the phone anymore. Then, he picked a phone color and a case for me, and showed it to me, refusing to even let me hold the phone so that I could feel it and/or interact with it before making my final decision. He just put the case on, set it up, and handed it all to me in one package. My phone is heavy, and I don't even know if it's the phone or the case. Fortunately, I liked the color and case he picked out, so I went with it...but I NEVER had any opportunity to look at other cases, or make a choice myself. He acted like he was the god of cell phones and basically said "here this is what you want" and shoved it in my face. Now...I went back to the same store yesterday looking for the iPad Pro 12.9". He informed me in a very rude tone of voice that no one in the city had that one in the store because it was too expensive and the risk of theft was too high, and that it had to be ordered. So, I went back to the section that had the iPads to look and see if I wanted to buy the 10" one that they had in the store. While I stood there trying to make the decision with my friend, I decided to order the 12.9" through my Verizon app on my phone. When I went to leave the store, he asked me if I was ready for him to order it. I told him no, that I had taken care of it. His response, verbatim, was "you're screwed now." I was like, whatever, and just walked out. I thought about it on the way to my car and decided that I was going to file a complaint with Verizon about him, so I went back into the store to get his business card. When I went back into the store, not only did he STILL HAVE MY ACCOUNT pulled up, but he tried to get me to stay in the store by telling me that my mini iPad 2 that I was trading in was still under a contract and I wouldn't get anything for it. I smarted off to him and said "well, verizon is giving me $xx for it," and just turned around and stomped out of the store. I will never do business at this location again. The Brodie Lane location in Austin is way better, has better service, better representatives, who let you take your time and make your choice at your own pace, and are helpful in letting you make your decision and forthcoming with information. I hardly ever use it so of course have anew password texted to me, enter the site... THEN there is a whole norther layer, ID password, AND pin.... to view my bills???? Yea, real nice! Oh boy I get to be the first review of 2016. Too boy it is really bad. Nicole Gonzalez is the Solutions Manager and if she is the face of Verizon she needs to be fired. I was sent by corporate trying to keep us before we leave in the fourteen days. I was told by corporate that the restock fee would be waived. I get to the store, and the wonderful charming(bs)Nicole is who I get to deal with. I wanted to return two products,a tablet and a jet pack. The tablet was 49.95 and the jet pack was 1.00. She wanted me to pay 75.00 restock on the tablet and 33.95 on the jet pack. I am sent to this store by a corporate raider to try and hang on to our account and end up with the idiot in corporate and the Manager from He'll. We have three days to return all items purchased. I am actually thinking that as bad as AT&T was I may go back to them. Nicole go someplace where you don't have to be a human. Because from what I saw today you are not. I just had the most bewildering, strange customer service experience with Rodney at Verizon in Southpark Meadows while trying to upgrade. Without going into the details, he would not listen to us while we were explaining a pre-existing discount that had been applied to our account until 2017, and kept insisting incorrectly that he was giving us the best price. It was clear that he did not understand what my husband and I were telling him. We even pointed out the line item to him where he was attempting to charge us double our agreed upon price, but he refused to acknowledge that. Whether that ignorance was willful or not, I'll never know. After three times of trying to explain to him our situation (which was understood perfectly fine by others at this same location, several weeks prior), he huffed loudly, crumpled up the paper we were reading and threw it in the trash and said "I was trying to help you, but now I'm done", and walked away. I was so shocked at his display, that my husband and I just left the store. Absolutely egregious behaviour. read more
