Wife and I were in serious need of new phones, still having our iPhone 7s from years ago. They are quality work horses, but was time to retire them and get new ones. Wife did the research and found an unbelievable deal with Verizon. It just so happened we were in Austin that weekend for the holiday, and since the store is just a quarter mile down from us, we figured why not check it out. It was Saturday around 5pm. The place was packed. Parking is difficult, considering the size and location, but there is a parking garage just on the other side. I dropped the wife off to get in line, and was about to enter the garage, and then she called me, and said someone had left the Verizon parking lot, and the Retail Specialist, Anisa, helped hold the spot. Talk about the first positive customer experience. So, Anisa was very nice, and asked us a few questions. Wife discussed with her what we were planning to do. We had a couple iPhones with another carrier, and she had an old Samsung Galaxy with a different carrier. We were looking to trade in and trade up as much as possible. After that, Anisa did an amazing job of showing all the options for plans as well as newest phones, discounts with plans, and the trade in discounts. I must say, I was absolutely amazed at the deals, and considering I already have an iPhone 12 5G with Verizon from work, I know the quality of the cellular service, and why I was happy we were here instead of the other carriers. There were so many deals and so many options, the wife and I had so many questions, especially since they had great deals on watches and tablets. My wife always wanted a watch, and let's just say my old iPad v2 isn't working much anymore. She was excited to finally get a watch and me the new iPad. So, onto the phones. After review of all the values, and the wife and I talking back and forth, and getting nowhere, I notice Anisa listening patiently. I looked at her and asked what she thought. She asked my wife a number of questions about her phones, the Galaxy and the iPhone, and how she used them. She did the same with me. She then recommended options. We went with the latest and greatest iPhone 15 Pro Max, a standard iPhone 15, an iPhone 14, an Apple Watch, and an Apple iPad v9. Once it was all done and decided, Anisa worked her magic and provided the pricing, which was fantastic, especially the discounts they were able to do. The deal was absolutely unbelievable compared to what we were paying for just the three old phones. The set up was a little challenging, to say the least, since I had to contact our previous carriers to transfer the phones. One was easy since it was a larger established one, but one, a smaller low budget monthly service provider, made it so difficult, as has always been the case with their customer service. I had to call multiple times, and still had issues. Anisa was so patient, and even took over and called our service provide while multi tasking with Verizon on the other line. It was finally all transferred, then phones and other items came. It was 7pm and the store was closing but Anisa was focused on not rushing and making sure we walked out happy and satisfied. Some of the other staff had to wait as well, but all were patient and understanding. The best part of this deal was not the $$$$$ savings, but the outstanding customer service. We had to return the follow Monday to iron out some items, and return our old Phones. Unfortunately, Anisa was off for the day, but she still answered my text and connected us with the manager. Gold star service for first time customers... amazing. Elizabeth, the manager, helped us and answered all my wife's questions. She was very patient and helpful. She set up our trade in phones, to make it easy to drop off at UPS, set up my wife's watch, and my iPad, and answered all our billings items. As I've said before, and as many of you know that follow me know, it is not just about the deals, or quality of meals or products, but the service. These days it is hard to find good service, which for me is most important. Anisa, Elizabeth, and the entire Verizon staff were all top notch customer service. I will be back for future needs, and won't feel anxiety like with past carriers when having to deal with horrible service. I now can walk into a Verizon store feeling happy, knowing I will be treated like their best customer, as they do with all their customers. Recommend Verizon for anyone looking to switch from another carrier. Now when someone asks me about my phone, and am happy to start with, "It's my Verizon!" read more

Worst Verizon experience ever; switching AsAP; Jessica is in here being rude, misleading, dishonest, disrespectful, literally saying to customers "I want you to leave Verizon" like there's no competitors; been a happy customer for 6 years, but this woman has made it her life's purpose to drive customers away; 0 compassion, 0 understanding, just racism emanating from a borderline evil woman who wants to destroy the already shrinking customer base here. From the moment i walked in i was treated like a nuisance; clearly this woman had no interest being at work or treating customers the right way. How can there be such a vile and negative culture in a workplace? The entire time the only thing that's clear she can help you with is leaving at any costs so she can go home. Jessica needs to be removed from her position in my opinion; customers need to be able to trust the associates they work with when they walk into the store, feel who they are working with is looking out for their best interests, not just collecting a check, especially with an attitude. How can you literally show 0 care for a customer of 6 years and say literally switch providers we are not here to help you? This is supposed to be the best service provider but no, instead i see the deterioration of the company before my very eyes. Whatever the opposite of excellence would be, this store embraces it. Absolutely abysmal customer service. Both times in this store I have witnessed and experienced employees being extremely condescending to customers. I came in for information on changes to my plan after a phone upgrade and got absolutely no helpful information. The guy helping me just kept stating he did not understand what my problem was (and was uncomfortably intense about this). I was simply told that the plan I was previously on was for "toddlers and grandmas" and that he had helped me out my upgrading my plan so I could take advantage of the trade-in promotion that was not at all explained to me. He assured me there were "no changes that I would notice". When I asked if there was a cost estimate of how the changes affect my bill, he then explained to me how billing cycles work and said we wouldn't know until I got billed next. The managers during this time were (a) watching a YouTube video and (b) talking to a friend on their phone. I'm looking forward to sitting on hold for a few hours to talk to a rep on the phone to try and figure out what's happened! We switched to Verizon internet service based on their lower price and offered perks. It lasted two days. Our phone stopped working or at at best, was cutting in and out, when using wifi. The internet speeds were extremely unstable and slow. I wanted to like them, but their internet service is absolutely horrible. Their perks are BS. They do not offer any ad-free discounted subscriptions, which is was we were led to believe when talking to them. I strongly recommend to stay far away from Verizon internet. It was a total waste of time for us. Just terrible. read more

Worked with the manager Elizabeth today. She helped me out so much. My phone got stolen w/ my ID and everything else. I had multi factor auth... so they couldn't get verification to me via email only to my phone. I had no options other than be phoneless and wait for them to ship a SIM card - and potentially have the same issues. We were on the phone for close to 55mins today and she stuck it out all the way to getting it all up and running. Super nice about it. Where to begin... Well, first by saying if I could give 0 stars to this store I would. I went in originally 2 weeks ago because my phone died in the middle of the night, no damage was done, it simply froze while the screen was black. I went into this Verizon location to get another one. Harrison, processed an order for me to get another phone the very next day thru my warranty for $53.04 .. The phone never came the next day, so I went back to the store on Saturday, 10.19.24, and Leo and his coworker tried helping me but couldn't get anything done thru customer service. THEY ARE THE ONLY NICE & HELPFUL PEOPLE AT THIS STORE. The only thing that had been done was the 'label was created' by UPS and the phone was never given to UPS by Verizon. Fast forward to Sunday, I went back to try and explain I couldn't get anyone on customer service to explain to me why I still hadn't received my phone. Harrison, who was working again, basically told me after I explained my situation that it was 'above his paygrade' and dialed in customer service and walked away. I found out thru customer service that the order was never processed correctly, so it looked like my 1 time warranty had been used, even tho the phone was never physically shipped to me. So, I then had to go thru Asurion even tho there was no damage to my phone, but because Verizon was not willing to override and cancel the previous order and resend the phone. I was without a phone for 4 days and noone cared. At one point that same Sunday, another young man, also a supervisor, offered for me to 'add another line' but that was the only option. Why would I PAY more money for another line? My bill is behind enough because the prices charged are outrageous. I was then told last Tuesday, 10.22.24, by Leo that the $53.04 would be refunded within 2-3 business days, since I ALSO had to pay Asurion a $99 deductible, once again, for a phone I NEVER DAMAGED. Fast forward to today, (10.30.2024), I called the store to check on the refund because I still hadn't received it and it had been more than 2-3 business days. I asked for a supervisor, and a young lady, didn't get her name, but was also there the day the order was placed, 10.18.24, answered. She looked into my account. The entire time she was snippy with me and told me at one point since I 'got my phone, Verizon wasn't going to refund me' and that she would have to 'check with Leo about if he did the refund' and that she 'was going to apply a $50 credit to my account today out of her being nice.' Excuse me? I thought being nice was a part of customer service. That is not even the full amount that needed to be refunded. It's still not applied to the Verizon bill, and I am sure it will never be applied to my bill. And again, because she was being nice?? It was not my fault the phone died, it was not my fault the order wasn't processed correctly and never shipped either. Again, Leo and the young man who was working with him on Saturday evening, 10.19.2024, are the only people in that store who actually went above and beyond, and sincerely cared. Leo actually worked on Sunday, his day off, to try and fix the problem. Telling customers something is above your paygrade, or your helping them out of you being nice is absolutely unacceptable. Especially when the customer is at no fault for everything that happened! I have worked within customer service for 23 years, and this is so far from even being MEDIOCRE customer service, this is just down right terrible customer service. I have been with Verizon for years, but started my own account this year, and I truly wish I would have just gone with Cricket! I never thought in all my years I would EVER say that, but I AM COMPLETELY LET DOWN BY VERIZON AS A WHOLE. After today's experience I will be calling in to see the steps that have to be taken to end my account with Verizon. This store is a joke, and it is a corporate store. Do better Verizon. A few years ago, someone fraudulently opened an account with Verizon under my social security number. They spelled my name wildly wrong, but Verizon approved it anyway. Then, they ran up $4k in charges which I didn't find until a long time later when I applied for credit I very much needed and got denied. Verizon eventually discharged the debt, but not without sending paperwork to discharge the debt to the IRS. They discharged it as MY debt though and not as fraud. As a result, the IRS added that $4k to MY received income for 2018. Now the IRS wants 33% of that income as tax. That's over $1000 that I owe now. Verizon will not clear it up and every call I've ever made eventually, after hours of transfers and being on hold, gets sent to an "upper manager" who will eventually call me back and never does. Tl:dr, when someone uses Verizon to commit identity theft, Verizon will leave you with taxes for the whole amount even though they and the fraudster were at fault. read more

The only positive thing about our experience here is that it was very fast. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. Now for the negatives: 1) They signed us up for a $13/month insurance plan for which we didn't ask. I love wasting my time with Verizon billing. 2) The upsell is just too much. If I come in asking for a specific phone, that's what I want. I don't want your weird Hum home system, I don't want a case, yadda yadda. It's so awkward to keep saying no -- enough already. 3) Don't be fooled into buying a Zagg screen protector there. It's about half the cost on Amazon. 4) And finally, the worst part: As we were doing our thing, an elderly man came in with about four flip phones. Some were working, some weren't. He had some SIM cards. The man "helping" him just kept asking, "What are you trying to do here?" Keep in mind that we were the only other customers in the store. The man is clearly going to ask for contacts or something to be loaded onto a working phone, but this complete douche of a sales guy keeps asking, "What do you wanna do here?" Then he's doubly rude when the man tries to give him his phone number. He says, "I've got your phone number. I'm in your account." REALLY took everything inside of me to not lose it. One of the best customer experiences I have ever had. I went into Verizon near closing time to get new phone service on three existing phones. Tyler was immediately attentive and friendly. When an issue came up in attempting to transfer my service, Tyler stayed with me long after closing time to ensure that I would walk out with a working phone. It was a complex issue that required a lot of patience on his part, and he handled it beautifully. I never once had the feeling that he was anxious to leave, although I am sure he was. What's more, his manager, Andrew, was very supportive and checked in repeatedly to make sure everything was moving forward. He also went out of his way to explain technical issues and provide insight in how to work with the company I was planning to leave. I should mention that I am a festival planner (planning the now rescheduled Earth Day ATX). We are in the process of re-confirming everyone for Sunday, April 29th. I could not afford to be without a phone. They did not disappoint. At the end of the night I walked away with a solution to my problem and two new friends. I mistakenly switched to Verizon Wireless in January 2023 oh how I have regrets!!! I have the beautiful Apple 14 Pro Max and my daughter added the 14 plus we are unlimited in Paying an extremely high $350 a month , so okay a device payment of 30 a month for each didn't sound too too bad but for service topping off at 80 bucks a month each for play more or unlimited plus as my upgraded plan did not make things any better it gets worse adding 10 more dollars for 100 gigs of hotspot but my devices are never ever finding my hotspot!! I am in the phone with Verizon more than twice a month it's averaging a call a week to get connectivity issues half resolved , I want to just throw these devices right at the face of one rep that literall insulted me and my minor daughter over the phone after trying to make a claim on a defecr iPhone 14 from. Verizon here in Austin Texas, take it from a combat veteran of the US Army Corps, save your money and sanity and stay faraway as possible this team is doing everything possible to swindle money from their paying customers, I'll never give them another dime, refer or promote them on my affiliate sponsored website and business!! I am now leaving Verizon after all the problems stemming from going to this store. They lied to my face about trading in my old phone saying I'd get $150 but after i bought the new phone and came back to trade it the next day, could only get $60 for it because the unlimited plan we were on wasn't unlimited enough. I was consistently told misinformation and given the run around, and then talking with Verizon's customer service after 2 hours, was told since I signed it, there was no way I could get any more money. All of the employees say different things and then cover each other to give the customer the worst deal/experience possible. If you want an Iphone, I advise to go to Apple first because though they aren't great either, they're better than Verizon. My family and I will be changing carriers because this is just one of many headaches this company has done to customers who've stuck with them for over 15 years. Company wide all of their employees are inept and just telling you what they don't know and can't do. If you get a guy named Andrew in this store or a guy named Nathan on customer service, they are useless and tell you what they can't do how how you're screwed. Everyone there was really down to earth, which was a great improvement from the other new Verizon store (third party) that I went to right before coming here. Needless to say this store was more knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and legitimate. I walked in and was immediately greeted by brittney, who was cute as a button and so sweet. She listened to my horror story of my previous visit to the other store and was helpful in picking out my phone (storage, size and color options included)! Working with her was like talking with a friend. I was there for a while due to some technical issues but she made the time fly by! I just want to start off by saying that I really enjoy my service with Verizon and have been with them for many years. This review is specific to this location. Yesterday, I came into this store to purchase a new phone because while floating the river my phone was damaged by water. I made this very clear to the sales representative, Brittany. It was a very easy process picking out my phone, and the representative was kind enough to add on accessories. However, the first issue was I told her I need a life proof since my last phone I JUST damaged was related to water damage. She insisted that the life proof she sold me was but upon leaving the store and applying the case and reading the information inside it is NOT a waterproof case. Also, she gave me information about setting up/activating my phone after I left the store, even after I asked to set it up in the store a few times because I had a long drive ahead. She said all I need was to be connected to WiFi and it would take like 30 minutes. Well, it most defiantly did not take that long and after being on the like with Apple support for close to 2 hours, needless to say I was quite frustrated. In addition, approximately 30 minutes after leaving the store my family member on my plan called to tell me that my brothers phone was no longer working, and that SHE was on the phone with Verizon for an hour trying to figure out what happened. Basically what she was told was that my phone was assigned to my brothers line( even thought I gave her my phone number and Drivers license multiple times) and cut off my brothers phone for the time being. So Verizon itself has always been great for me, BUT on Black Friday I went to the location on Guadalupe in UT area. The staff was awful, no one knew what was going on. Had to jump through a few hoops to get the iPhone X on sale.... which they miraculously were out of 30 seconds after I called. Anyways so I'm upset but now committed to getting a new phone and just paying full price. I came to this location because I couldn't deal with the people at Guad store, and Brittany was the person to help me out at the Lamar store. She was wonderful and listened to my vent about the experience at the other store and went above and beyond to help me and make it better! She ended up locating one last iPhone X in the storage size I needed. It took about an hour to do the switch and everything else and she was very personable and was so pleasant to speak with the whole time. **Bonus she has a really cute dog.. so if you like dogs and have 378228 pictures of your dog like I do... have her help you and y'all can show each other dog pictures the whole time! If I could give this place, and the manager, Heather, a negative score, I would. I purchased a phone online, to be delivered to this location. I was advised via the chat option that the store was open until 7pm. I work around the corner from the store, and I got there at 6:20pm. I quickly found out they were closed; however, they had customers in the store. The manager was yelling at me through the door that they were closed. I said I just needed to pick up a phone that had been paid for already and tried explaining that this was for my daughter's birthday and the one gift she wanted. She again said her "system won't allow me to". THERE WERE CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE! How did the "system" allow those transactions? She refused to give me her business card "we don't have cards", this while the sales associate ran by us to give his card to the customers who they were magically able get the system to complete their transactions. This literally ruined my daughter's birthday and there was no empathy from this Manager. How she handled it and how she addressed me are completely inappropriate. If this is how she handles all customers, I would expect that this location would not be open for much longer. It's unfortunate that I experienced such a negative interaction when I've been a customer for many, many years. read more
