So I just wanted to take a moment to let others know that I recommend this Spectrum location for many reasons. I suffer from anxiety disorder amongst other challenging mental disorders and every time I go this location it's a struggle for me, but not because of Spectrum or their wonderful. It is because I have my difficulties and what I have experienced in going here is the staff like Jennifer, Carmen and the others aways do their very best to make me feel welcomed and comfortable as they offer me the amazing customer service they offer. They do everything in their power to make sure I am well taken care of all the way up until I leave. Today was a bit rough for me and Carmen who's in training offered me her very best and Jennifer she saw me through instead of seeing through me. They spent a couple making sure that I got everything I needed a more. When left I felt like a special person and thats not something I get in other business but I definitely get here every time I go. So thank you Spectrum for picking your awesome team. I have a one gig terabyte and it runs my whole house. Perfect. It's amazing set up fibrotic I will never traded in for anything else.

1. I canceled my Spectrum service and returned all of the equipment on the same day. 2. After I canceled my service, a new service appeared on my account at a higher price. 3. I never requested or authorized this new service. 4. I contacted Spectrum immediately to dispute the charge and explain what had happened. 5. The representative reviewed my account, acknowledged the issue, and apologized for the situation. 6. I was told that the charge would be corrected and that I would receive a refund. 7. However, I later received a notification stating that the credit/refund had not been approved. 8. As a result, I lost approximately $90 for a service that I never requested or authorized. 9. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. After this situation, I will not be returning to Spectrum. I simply expected my cancellation to be handled correctly and my money to be returned for a service I never requested. WORST SERVICE!! We had all the time bad connection almost everyday no internet and no solutions, everytime that I call for issues with service I had to stay on the call more than 30 min waiting and listening for them to offer more services !!! read more

I was a loyal customer since the 1990s and they were absolute jerks when I cancelled my service! The charged me for an additional month of service. When I called to find out why they lied to me and never refunded the month of additional fees as they stated they were doing while they had me on the phone for over an hour. To top it all off, when I was setting my internet service up, the representative said 1G for $70/mnth but for $10 more a month, I can get live tv. I said sure. Eventually I wanted to cancel the live tv because I never watch it. I call customer service to cancel and they tell me, if I do that, my internet bill will be $125/mnth!!!!! Now what kind of BS is that????? I had GFiber and AT&T before and I'd settle for either one right now. This place will steal your money. When I called I let the person helping me know I only wanted wifi. She said I got the tv for free and the cheapest it was going to be $80. I kept telling her I didn't need it, and she insisted on sending the tv because it came with it. At the time spectrum was my only internet provider so I had no options for wifi. I switched over phones to att and they told me they started providing wifi in my area and I can pay $60. I switched over. Around January I got the new wifi service and beginning February before the next billing I called to ask what all I needed to do to cancel. The man said to just turn it in. I didn't have time to turn it in till march and now they are charging me for a month and a half that I didn't use because I didn't cancel properly, even though I called to ask what I needed to do. The man had also told me I had up to 60 days to turn in the modem, that's why I took my time as well. I called today asking why I'm being billed and they tell me I didn't cancel properly, they also tried to keep me and told me I could pay way less if I took off the tv, the guy said you don't need the tv and I can get your bill down to $40. This is actually the short version of the story because I spoke to 3 people. Spectrum steals from you and will get anything it can get out of you. read more

My apartment complex added Spectrum Internet to our monthly rent bill, so we were paying for it no matter what and I switched from T-Mobile to Spectrum 2 weeks ago, which I dreaded from my past experience with Spectru. My experience so far: Issues initially connection requiring a Spectrum tech to come out & resolve; sluggish internet speeds, requiring several Seconds to wait on internet sites to load; then today, no internet the entire day. spectrum simply sucks! With T-Mobile: I was up and connected in a couple of minutes, They only have 1 unit to connect everything--Spectrum still uses a separate router and modem, and in an over one-year period, my service was NEVER down with T-Mobile--NEVER! Also, I can't get on the internet at my son's rural home with Spectrum, but always could with T-Mobile. Avoid Spectrum if possible! read more

At&t offered us a really good deal so I took it. They came and installed it, and the next day I called to cancel Spectrum. The sales representative was rude and bullying, trying to give me better deals then asking what was wrong with me for not taking the deal. I told him I just wanted to disconnect and he continued to tell me how dumb it was of me not to take his deal. It went on for so long that it turned into bullying and harassment. And he kept telling me, I have to go through this process or they'll get mad at me. Finally I told him that I wasn't going to take his deal because of this conversation, because now I see that Spectrum is all about bullying customers to try and keep them, but this had the opposite effect on me. I had Spectrum for a year on their introductory price, and everything went smoothly. But as soon as the 13th month came around, they raised my bill by $15. I called customer service to see if they could offer a better rate, but the representative told me I was already getting a great deal for what I had. That same night, I called T-Mobile and switched to their 5G wireless home internet plan for $30 a month, plus a free month and a $100 gift card. When I called Spectrum today to cancel, the representative suddenly offered to lower my bill to $20 a month, down from $55. They were practically begging me to stay. At that point, it was more about principle. If they could offer that kind of deal now, why didn't the representative the night before transfer me to someone who could negotiate the price? Instead, he acted like he didn't care, and now I feel the same way about their company. So I went ahead and canceled and moved on. Spectrum cut off my cable and internet for not paying the bill in full inless than two months after they more than doubled my bill. I paid my bull on time for almost 40 years and the cut me off. Then they said they is charging for the time I do not have internet and cable. Each day I don't pay the bill that doubled, they are going keep chatging me. Customer service told me about a payment plan but when I was transfered to ask about reducing my service, no one spke about a payment plan. At 7AM this morning a Spectrum wire crew rang our bell and asked to access a pole in our yard that is actually located across our fence. We agreed to let them in our back yard. After they left we discovered they broke a large tomato cage protecting a small tree. They left it bent to the side - didn't even straighten it. I had Spectrum for nearly a year, and the service met my expectations. However, when another provider introduced fiber in my neighborhood, I decided to switch. I called Spectrum to cancel my internet service while keeping my cellular plan. I was transferred to the retention department, where I spoke with a very kind yet persuasive representative. We had a few follow-up calls as they attempted to retain my business, but I was under the clear impression that my internet service had been canceled and that I would not be billed for another cycle--especially since I had already disconnected and returned their equipment. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I never received the final scheduled follow-up call, yet I was still billed the full amount for the next cycle. When I reached out to the retention department again to request a credit for the unused service, the representative, Avery, acknowledged our previous conversations but refused to issue a refund--roughly $70. For a company to prioritize $70 over retaining a long-term customer speaks volumes. That lack of consideration led me to cancel all remaining services and pay off my devices in full. If a company is this inflexible over a minor billing issue, I wouldn't trust them with anything more significant. I strongly urge you to consider other providers. read more

We've had Spectrum internet for 3 years. It was fine until recently. We would lose internet service for a few minutes several times a day. The weird part was an influx of commercials proclaiming themselves the most reliable service. I finally went with another service -- one that has great discounts for elderly and veterans (I'm both). These aren't discounts that stop after a few months, these are ongoing. Today, the equipment was hooked up and I disconnected Sprectrum's equipment. Of course I had to call Spectrum to discontinue my service because like other companies, you can only upgrade online. The woman I talked to wanted to do her sales pitch for a better deal. Well, I already had another internet provider so I wasn't interested in hearing what she had to say. We got into an argument over my not allowing her to talk to me about saving money. I was so angry because I had already found a way to save money and I wasn't switching back. She was even angrier because I told her to go ahead with her sales pitch, but I wasn't going to listen. She said that conversations take two people. I didn't call for a conversaton. We were on the phone for 40 minutes. She finally gave up and gave me the information I wanted. Now I get to go to the Spectrum store and deal with these people face to face. I will NEVER use Spectrum again. Very disrespectful. read more

Until this week, I had been with Spectrum since 2017. During all this time, they were fine for both Internet and cable service. (Unlike others here, I only rarely had any problems with either service cutting out. Well, until I got the Xumo box. More below.) What made me mad, though, and what made me switch this week: A year ago, Spectrum told me that if I wanted to continue to get TCM as part of basic cable, I'd have to ditch my cable box and get a Xumo box, AND that if I wanted TCM, I'd have to pay for a whole new "Entertainment" package. This forced change jacked up the price from @ $169 to just over $200 per month. I was still "scared" to change services, so I went along with that price hike. UNTIL they jacked up the price AGAIN to $229---and I noticed they were charging a $28 fee for "broadcast TV" to get local channels. ENOUGH. I called their main number to see if there were any special deals that would get me back under $200---they would not work with me. I now have Google Fiber for Internet ($55 per month) and stream YouTubeTV (where I get both TCM and local stations, plus all the regular basic stations, for $83 per month). Am now saving about $90 per month. RE this particular Spectrum store at Hancock Center in Austin: Spectrum requires you to set an appointment online to return equipment. So I was nervous that there'd be dozens of people milling about at the store, and that I'd have to wait far beyond my appointment time. NOT the case. I arrived early (Friday afternoon) to a near-empty store, and when I started to enter my appointment number at the kiosk, a helpful clerk came over and carried my heavy equipment box to the counter and said I didn't need to check in at the kiosk. He then checked all equipment and got me in and out of there in about 5 minutes. In short: This particular store at Hancock had GREAT service when I was there on a Friday afternoon. As for Spectrum itself: You're going to die out unless you adjust your pricing and train your call-center employees to keep long-term customers like myself. Called customer service next day then they have said Ir it's already shipped and I can just refuse when they attempt delivery. They kept saying everything looks good and nothing else to be done on my end. they gave me ticket# as well. but after nearly 2 months I got collection notice from collection agency and you know what that impacted my credit score very badly(lost more than 100 points). *** CHARGED FOR ALMOST A MONTH OF SERVICE AFTER I CANCELLED *** Monthly charges kept going up for same low bandwidth, so I switched to Google Fiber (lower cost, much higher bandwidth). Just called to terminate my service with Spectrum, and after the standard 10 minutes on hold, the rep who took the call kept trying to talk me into switching back to them even though I kept telling him no. Truly obnoxious but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was when he told me I'd still be liable for charges for service for almost the next month even AFTER my service is disconnected. I couldn't believe it. Went back and forth a bit then told him I wanted to talk to a supervisor. Back on hold some more, then supervisor comes on and "explains" to me in a very patronizing way that I just don't understand how their billing cycles work. Went back and forth with him, then told him if I'm charged for almost a month AFTER my service is disconnected, I'd never be a Spectrum customer again. Then he tried to "explain" their policy again but stopped him as I'd had enough. So that's how it ended. I'm liable for almost a month of service I don't need or want AFTER disconnection. Spectrum has just lost an 8-yr customer forever. And nobody cares. These people are thieves and they don't care if you're a customer or not. Take your business to someone else. read more

I have the lowest speed and it's $90. When I explained that I was upset that there was not transparency about my promotion ending, she said "well we don't know what the sales people tell customers". when I asked to leave a complaint about the sales worker she said, "well that person probably doesn't work here anymore".
