Kim Lopez at the Verizon store in Ardmore PA was excellent. She guided us through all the questions and helped us with things we didn't understand. She made sure we were on the correct plan that helped save us money and secured the best deal for the purchase of a new phone. She made sure we understood everything and explained every concept patiently. I would say the words 'kind' and 'gracious' and 'generous' would start the conversation about Kim Lopez. She is an asset to the company and to the customers who come to Verizon for phone services. And Que followed up with Kim and finished the transaction with us. He was also very attentive and caring and made the selection of accessories easier for us. Overall a great experience with purchasing phones and plans. Went in to buy a phone and the staff processed my request so many times that I was marked for fraud and was unable to buy the phone. I waited around for 4 hours hoping that someone would help solve the problem (that they created) but nobody did. Staff is utterly useless and hates to help their customers. If you're looking for a quiet place to read I have to recommend the Lancaster Verizon because I assure you nobody is coming to bother you there. Just today, I broke my phone and realized I had to get a new one. Therefore, I decided to go over to Verizon. I came in and was immediately greeted by a staff member. Even though the store was girly crowded, the staff member directed me to Teri who would help me with my problem. When deciding upon what model of phone to get, Teri asked me a few questions based upon price-point and style. Eventually, she recommended I get the iPhone 7. Teri then helped me chose whether to get the regular size or plus. She was especially helpful as she was able to let me sample how both phones would feel. After that, Teri helped me transfer everything from my old phone to my new phone. Whenever I came to a problem setting the phone up, Teri explained it to me. I can't recommend Tori enough! She was professional and kind. Inside of this Verizon, they have many different devices that are being sampled including phones, tablets and VR headsets. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews, but this place really deserves it. I went to pick up my new phone that had been pre-ordered and paid for in advance. The first person I spoke with asked me if I had received a text telling me if it was ready. I said I had been told that the phone was ready for pickup that day. He tried to argue with me, and then when I asked when it would be ready, he disappeared into the back. He returned with a manager, carrying a bag with a phone in it, who said that they didn't have the color I ordered. Apparently that was supposed to be a joke. Then the original guy said I owed $500, another attempt at a joke. Then the manager said I shouldn't activate my phone because they were experiencing "nationwide activation outages" and he showed me an internal text on his phone. I asked how I'd know when it was okay to activate my phone, and he said "that's a good question." I said, how about you write down my number? Obviously they already had my number since they are Verizon. They wrote it on a post-it and never called me. I went home and activated my phone myself with no issues. Have an extra two to three hours in your busy day to waste waiting to get a new phone or get your old phone serviced? Verizon's the place to go. Yeah sure they have a nifty electronic sign-in PC in the front where you enter a "queue" but come on! The real fact of the matter is that they simply do not have enough service and sales support to accommodate their customers. Once your name is called, they do manage to spend time with you but when it comes down to service and the quality of your time...don't bother. read more

Buyer beware this store is a sales store, I bought 1000.00 phone and was told to go home and activate the phone myself. They have no ability to transfer data from old phone because it takes too long. What is there job then apparently to just sell sell sell and collect money for no work. I have been with Verizon for 15 years and now they dont have customer service. I might as well return the phone and go buy it at best buy, since Verizon no longer activates phone or has customer service. I went to this store because they carried the phone that my daughter wanted. I had researched the price and knew what i needed. The sales Associate, seemed professional, until he told me the price of my bill! the numbers did not add up. I was shocked to say the least. He was trying to sell me a shield for my phone, for 40.00- I did not ask for this. I only wanted the phone and a case. I told him about my employer discount at least 5 times. He gave me a "new" price, which seemed to be more in the ballpark of what I was looking to spend. I asked for my receipt, and was not provided a detailed break down of what my charges were- first time ever! I was so angry that I had to leave the store. I called Verizon when I got home, they were able to direct me to my detailed receipt on line. Turns out he charged me for insurance that I was not offered nor did I want and he did not give me my accessory discount! I am still so angry over how this sales associate tried to screw me and my daughter. Usually, the staff bends over backward to help me. I have praised them for the longest! Always willing to go over your bill and answer any questions you have. Very upfront with everything and transparent. After my charging port fried I needed a new phone. I have the Moto Z force and they had a special on the Moto z3, I loved my last phone, why not upgrade. I had this new phone for 45 days when it fell less than 3 feet onto carpeting. The screen was fine but the interior LCD cracked. Verizon was unwilling to help me with anything only offering the suggestion that I should have it in a case - gee thanks. I was surprised by how unwilling they were to work with me. We have 5 lines of unlimited and a bill of about $300/month and have been customers for 4 years or so now. I expected better from Verizon, I used to think they cared more about their customers than their competitors but this last experience makes me feel otherwise. read more

I was lied to at this location. The store associate sold my father and I an iPad "deal" for $100 during Thanksgiving weekend, but forgot to disclose the activation fee and the monthly service charge. This is really disappointing because all we came in for was a phone upgrade. I get that this associate probably got a bonus for this sale, but he did not treat us with enough respect to disclose all the prices when he wrote the "before" and "after" breakdown of our bill on paper. This is the kind of service that will turn a loyal customer away because now I've had over 4 hours of phone conversations with Verizon, went to another store to be turned away from returning the iPad that I never even wanted in the first place. Feedback for the store manager: while it is important to incentivize sales, please coach your associates to disclose all the fees that come with a device purchase, otherwise clients will be felt feeling cheated. read more

Terrible. I walk in for a couple questions not that the Ardmore location has really ever been much help although, usually they are at least polite. Not today. Their were 2 employees at the front desk taking care of NO ONE. I asked a few questions about iCloud back up the lady gets an attitude and says because of Covid we can only take appointments. We can't help you. I ask- can you just answer a few questions. They were helping no one ...both employees totally could of took a few minutes bc no one else was there to point me in some sort of direction. But no the lady with attitude at this point hands me a piece of paper on iCloud backup information and says this is all we can do for you at this time you have to schedule an appointment and we don't have any today. The Covid excuse only makes sense to an extent... when you are doing nothing you can totally help a costumer with that needs it. The woman employee in specific was unbelievable rude, when really she could of answered simple questions. Verizon Ardmore Customer service the worse. Manager Zach S only wants to sell new contracts and product. I purchased a verizon jepack about year ago. Battery pack went bad. Went to verizon store, and the managet, Zach S, advised that verizon does not service or have parts for the jetpack. He advised me he could sell me a new one for $300. He said if I did not purchase a new one that I would still be responsible for the remaining 9 months contract. I said no thanks! Once burned was enough. Went to Staples and asked them for help. Staples advises that I only needed a new battery and that they are readily available on line. Yup, $34 brand new and here in 2 days. Thank you Staples! PS. I came in on a Monday afternoon totally planning on signing up for two new cell plans. I had to wait forever to speak with a rep. When I finally spoke with someone, she was not very helpful at all! She did not help me pick out the phones and she really wasn't "selling" She was basically waiting for me to finish asking questions and leave. I went to a different Verizon store first, and the first thing they did (after I waited 20 minutes) was recommend the most expensive phone they had no matter what I said I was looking for. Left there and came here and right off the bat they asked me my budget, what I use my phone for and what I liked in regards to style and size of the phone. Went in Saturday morning to see if they can transfer my prepaid old phone to my new prepaid that I bought outside the store. Met with Mo and he was so kind to transfer all my info to the new phone. Very pushy customer service. Came in for a new phone since I had an "upgrade" on my account. There were no promotions connected to my upgrade, so when I asked the sales associate what "upgrade" meant, he said he actually had no idea why they call it upgrade, it means nothing. The sales associate's only main concern seemed to be upselling me - offering me so many things I did not want, several times. I only came in for the phone and a case, but he was pushing getting a package deal with a charger and other things. I had to tell him no to the accessory package several times. He then saw I had an apple watch and kept trying to get me to trade that in for a new one - I had to tell him no several times. He then sold me the most expensive insurance option - I found out later after calling Verizon customer support that there is a cheaper insurance plan that basically does the same thing. When I left the store and went home to activate my phone - my phone stopped working, and so did the other phone on my account which had nothing to do with the sale that day. I then had to spend an hour and a half extra at home on the phone with Verizon customer support to fix whatever this sales associate did wrong. Verizon customer support was EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating for the issues I was having. I really won't ever go back here... go to apple or try another Verizon store. read more

Verizon just went down in my book. They made me get a basic phone to buy an iphone 4s at a discount a couple of years ago. I forgot about the $36 monthly charge and lost the ability to see my bill cuz I went paperless and my bank couldn't provide online access to the bill (Verizon has enhanced security that didn't allow it). There's been no usage on the phone and yet they won't give me a credit back to the expiry of the contract (we're talking about $100 here) cuz I didn't call them at the time. Very complicated, but basically I'm dealing with a PHONE COMPANY again. Fios was good, but the phone company is bad, and I've been a steady customer for years. read more

Horrible service and employees!! My salesman told me that I could no longer have the plan I currently had due to it being discontinued. I was then promised a "great deal" giving me less then the plan I had, but for half the cost. Much to my surprise when my bill came, my plan had actually gone up $5/month. When I called this location to fix the situation I was told that my salesman was mistaken and that there was nothing they could do to help me unless I wanted to take a lesser plan but that it would still be nowhere close to the price I was promised when I renewed my contract. I will never go back to this store, and am currently at another phone service provider's store getting a much better plan with the same phone for less money. Signed up for service at this location. Originally when I was signing up, I was explained to in order to get the new iPhone 7 I had to sign up for the unlimited data plan, so I signed up for it. After about a year, once I called customer service to see if they could offer any discounts they said, why are you on the unlimited data plan, you don't need it to get the iPhone 7 for free. I explained to them that the rep who signed me up said it was mandatory to sign up and keep the unlimited data plan in order to keep the iPhone 7 for free. Now, I knew this wasn't the case and downgraded my plan with the rep over the phone. I wrote a letter of complaint to the manager at the Verizon store in Ardmore and never heard back. Sales people should not give untruthful information. It is unethical and just not right. I will be writing a letter of complaint to the ceo of Verizon detailing the situation along with the employees I dealt with unless I hear back. read more
