This place did the impossible. My iPhone was DESTROYED. Apparently if you use a security passcode and then incur damage resulting in a black screen it is practically impossible to export data from your phone, as there's no way to unlock it. After a consult at the Apple Store I'd pretty much lost all hope of retrieving all of my photos from the past 3 years. The port hadn't fully worked, so I was set to lose all of my contacts and three years of photos. I'd talked to a few other repair shops, and they also told me that I was out of luck. I brought this to iGeeks after a promising phonecall, and was reassured that he could likely get everything off by temporarily attaching a new screen to enter my passcode. IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! I'm so relieved to not have lost all of my photos, and can't believe I was able to get everything back. The process took about 5 hours total, and yet he still only charged me the $40 he'd quoted on the phone. I will come here first the next time I have any kind of tech issue. You should too. read more

Went here to try and get my husbands iPhone fixed while on vacation he jumped in the pool with his phone. found this place online, went inside it was a one man show. e asked what phone needed to be fixed I told him iPhone10 max. His response was put it in rice to get all the water out, he never looked at the phone or anything, Little did he know it actually turned n but had he looked at it he would have known that. It was bound to happen, and shockingly it took 3 months (instead of 3 minutes). The NMT smashed his iPhone screen. *sigh*. Thanks to some strong fellow Yelp reviews, I headed over to iGeeks Ardmore, because it's very close to my home (walkable when it's not scorching hot). Bonus: If I didn't want to walk (I didn't), I drove over and parked in the metered lot behind the store - there's also some metered parking in front of the place. They're also right around the corner from the Ardmore Train Station and bus stops. In other words, super convenient for anyone. I was greeted warmly, and told no problem 30 minutes it would be done. Yay! Came back and yep, done, perfectly. I asked for a tempered glass protector on the screen to help with future mishaps and no problem, he put one on the boy's phone and mine too. Made an appointment at the Apple store for a battery replacement in Ardmore for my iPhone 6s. There is a small crack that is confined to the edge of the phone (probably unable to crack further). So Apple said the battery replacement would need to include a screen replacement because during the battery changing process would further break the screen. I went to the iGeeks close by and asked the guy who worked there. He was slightly confused, "you want your screen replaced for this little crack?" And I explained to him what I was told at the Apple store. He said it's no problem to change the battery without replacing the screen. It'll take 20 minutes. I went got some food, and when I came back my phone was ready. A week later and my phone is doing so much better. Battery life said service and was at 77% and is now 100% after replacement. Man was nice, honest, and did good work. If I need anything else done, I will return here. read more

I'm not going to come down hard on this guy. In the end, the job was done properly, as far as I can tell. He communicated very well, regarding the repair of my son's cracked laptop screen. The first replacement was lost in the mail. Not his fault. The second one was installed. We came to pick it up, after he called us. At the store, my son was trying to diagnose why the new touch screen wasn't working. Finally, the technician, after checking pictures of the work done, realized that one of the wires wasn't attached. I don't know why he didn't test it before calling us, but, in the end, it was fixed. I'm just glad I wasn't in a hurry. read more

I have brought 3 products over to this store to be fixed. iPhone to replace cracked screen- the were quick - 20min in & out. I also brought over 2 apple TVs for fixing. Besides that they only fixed one, we had to play run around to get updates, and they never fixed it even though we had to PAY for it. We had to chase them at least 12 times for any updates. They only ever did anything unless we contacted them. They took it their home which was also weird. This was slow, unprofessional, and overall terrible service. I cracked by touchscreen after I dropped my 4 month old ASUS smart tablet - with no insurance protection of course. Found this place about 3 years ago when I cracked my screen. Had a great experience then. Today I took my daughter to the Apple store nearby to get her a new battery for her iPhone. Was told it would be over a 2 hour wait and cost $79. We were put on the list and walked over to iGeek which was a 5 minute walk away. The cost was $40 and took maybe 10 minutes to be put in. Had to take in my MacBook three times just to get the Harddrive fixed which they failed to do the first two times (which I paid for in full). The second time I was there the guy randomly decided to break a piece of plastic off for reasons I do not understand (when I asked I was met with silence). On the third trip in they told me they had fixed it; when I get there the man decides to pick it up with one hand by the top of the screen (again I wish I knew why) and I heard a very loud pop (so did he). This (different) employee also chose not to acknowledge the damage he did to the computer. Fearing the worst (and already being in a rush) I didn't open the computer up until I got home... aaaaand the screen cracked halfway off its hinge and doesn't connect to the internet anymore. They refused to fix/replace the MacBook so here I am warning you DONT BRING ANY OF YOUR TECHNOLOGY TO THESE CHEAP RIPOFF ARTISTS read more

This place is amazing. Was having trouble with my 2010 Macbook pro - wasn't starting up and when it did start up from time to time, was running so slow and mousepad wasn't working, so it was basically useless. Apple wanted to charge me out the ***...... to get a new battery and then they wanted to send me to micro center to get a new hard drive. First off... not sure if you've ever waited for service at micro center.... but they are terrible there... you could wait for an hour just to drop off your computer. iGeeks replaced my hard drive, battery and mousepad in just a few days for an extremely reasonable price (cheaper than anywhere else). And my 2010 Macbook pro is up and running again like new. In addition, they were in communication with me via email or phone the entire time. THIS IS WHAT SERVICE SHOULD BE LIKE. Was told my phone could not be fixed and that I would not be able to retrieve my photos - nothing could be done. After more than a week of talking to Apple store techs, they said the only thing that could possibly be done was to replace the phone... Took it to iGeeks yesterday where the nice guy replaced the lightening port for $45 in 45 minutes. So far, so good - phone seems fine and, most importantly, I DID get my photos back!! I wouldn't recommend this place of business to my worst enemy. I took my phone(had it for 7 months) to the location in Ardmore. I cracked my screen(honor 8 phone) and was very disappointed that I wasted my time and money!!! I should have known when the guy told me that he never worked on a phone like mine and it would take 4 hours. When I went to pick up my phone Fernando was gluing the back of the phone and wiping it on the side stating it should be okay. Two weeks later my camera, Google and other apps didn't work!!!! The back of the phone would not stay down and the smell of glue was very strong. I took it back to the store and the owner informed me that my battery exploded!! Really!! It was fine before and my battery wasn't over heating! He repeatedly told me to send my phone back to the company since it was under warranty and they should replace it. Of course they denied my claim and realized it was tampered with. I told him about this and he said I can replace your battery( of course charge me for it) and figure out the problem. This place is unreal!! They aren't as knowledgeable of technology as they proclaim. I would have spent the same amount of money for a new phone if continued to listen to his crap and give him more money!!!! Unfortunately, he was very untruthful on soooooo many levels. I Geeks Ardmore (negative) review: I have had an iPhone for years, and cracked the screen for first time 1 month ago. I went to the store I geeks to get it repaired. The repair took 30 minutes and everything was awesome. 2 weeks later dropped my phone and cracked the screen. Thought nothing of it besides that I re cracked my screen and had to get repaired again. I went back to the same place, re paid the $90 fee, and went happily on my way; they even sent me home with a free screen protector. The day after the repair (today), my phone made gentle contact with my computer, and the screen protector as well as the screen cracked. As someone who has had an iPhone, dropped it many times, and never had any issues until getting my repair done here... I can tell you the glass they are using is obviously inferior, or put on in an inferior way. I would tell you it could be an anomaly and just my repair, except that I have heard the same story from others. I recommend paying the extra $20 and going to Apple, where your glass wont break from nothing the next day. read more
