I was here two days in one week. My phone was pretty much dead and it was time to get a new phone. I was shopping on Apple's website, then decided to just go to the ATT store, since it might be easier. I was helped right away and since I have a little bit of a technological background, I was out in a short amount of time. They did try a few upsells, then ultimately told me I would be getting a free month of insurance, but then I could cancel anytime in the first month. There was no option to decline? A quick call to ATT afterwards got that removed and they confirmed that I was lied to. No extra charges, so I was happy. Two days later, my co-worker's phone died too. He went over and spent three hours there... Two hours waiting... I went over to offer assistance and waited a bit with him. I came back ninety minutes after that and he was just being helped. There was only one person there actually assisting customers and the other representative, was just signing people in. I think I'll stick to the Apple store next time... read more

Visited the Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania AT&T store to change one of my three phone lines to a data line. Assistant manager was very nice and explained that the phone line had to be canceled through customer service and she could activate a data line with a $35 activation fee, but also stated that perhaps customer service could waive the activation fee given that I was a customer since 1996. Mine was activated, a new Sim card was inserted in an iPad and I left the store satisfied. But that is where the satisfaction ended. Called customer service they told me that they could not cancel the line but referred me to the loyalty group. The loyalty group was able to cancel the phone line, but would not waive the activation fee Stating that it was company policy that these are standard fees that could not be waived. The "loyalty" group also explained that had the assistant manager at the store simply changed the line from a phone line to a data line there would not have been an activation fee. I got nothing short of a run around. It is really sad that AT&T has now jeopardized having a loyal customer from 1996 who is now seriously thinking about leaving to go to either Verizon or Comcast. Not the customer service I would expect given AT&T's commercials and their pledge of great customer service. Bad bad bad customer relations. Shame on you AT&T!!!!! read more

Well my first visit to an AT&T store went very well in my opinion, with this I am closer to making my decision. I forgot this place was even here, if it wasn't for me wanting to hit up a little Cosi action. Sometimes the "proverbial itch" for coffee has its rewards. I came in to a lively store, with thoughts of: A) This could be a good sign , where people are getting questions answered and subscribing or B) They are here for someones head, filled to the gills with complaints and issues. The answer was A by the way, and I couldn't agree more with satisfaction I received from Dan. This is a sure sign of the cellular phone gods from above , AT&T has the right attitude. Dan greeted me , welcoming me to AT&T and right off the bat he stated his name , and if I had any questions just come on by. He actually let me peruse the store without hanging over me like a seagull waiting to be fed. This is another reason in my book why to come here, I said it before "Hassle Free " . Plus he was a jokester when I said to him "Happy Mothers Day " . He got the joke, he didn't get offended , he had a rebuttal of his own which I thought was great. He helped me , just as I received at the other location I went to a few weeks ago. Dan even went into a little more depth with me in trying to find what will suit me better. Asking " What am I looking for " , showing me actual items that I had mentioned. OK I don't know what the flavor punch is when these guys are getting trained, but it is working. Dan actually listened to what I said, what my needs were , in usage, durability, service, and features I would need. These guys all work on commission , we all know that , but they all work as a team. The line of work I am in we value team work, we want things to go smooth, fluid with no bumps in the road. If it takes a little more time in doing the job , there is a reason. You want the job done right, not half assed, where you will be getting more complaints. I couldn't get the phone today seeing I had other priors in mind (Mothers Day , mom was going to get pampered ). Dan and the crew were OK with it, I will be coming back here though to acquire their services. If you want to be treated right, if you want to be heard and listened to with the right reasonable answers then this is the place. If you want the same old chatter, with the forcing you and degrading other businesses, got to the other guys. Great crew, I will return to be a subscriber , AT&T you won me over. read more

I picked up a new fitbit from the AT&T store here a couple weeks ago. It's located near Zoe's kitchen, Cosi and Bertucci's in Bryn Mawr, right off of 30. I don't get into the AT&T store often...or any cellular store for that matter...I get my phones thru work, but wanted to pickup a fitbit and they carry them here... Seemed like the worker to customer ration was about 5:1. There were only 2 customers but a plethora of guys working\hovering. Not sure why they needed so many, but I was quickly greeted and started working with Ken(who introduced himself to me asap, as Nando mentioned, they know customer service here!) on my purchase. He was very knowledgeable about the fitbit and even called over a coworker that happened to be using one of the devices. Nice that I could ask him questions as he has been using it for a while...nice that Ken knew he had it, and nice that he came over to show it. Good teamwork by the sales force! They weren't pushy sales guys, but happy to make a sale. They all carry iPads and can basically check you out from anywhere in the store they have an iPad handy...which was pretty cool...no checkout line! I ended up getting the fitbit Flex based on my discussion with Ken. This model has no display to break and is a bit smaller than the "display" model for the same price. And Ken is right, I've been wearing this to soccer without any issues! My previous pedometer lasted about 55 minutes compared to the fitbit flex! read more

This Store only take cash when you are paying your bill which nobody uses cash anymore. You have to wait for a customer service person to use your card. read more

What a waste of time I had to wait all day in this store for nothing I was told to come back again the next day which was another all day waiting event then when they finally set up my plan it was not what I agreed to at all an extra $50 a month for all the hidden fees read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! My wife is an AT&T customer and we were transferring my number over to an AT&T account from verison. We spent about 2.5 hours with the customer service rep, who had no idea of the meaning of "customer service"....The list of things I could complain about that she did/didn't do is just too long... up until it was time to ring us up, she had been promising us 20% off accessories with signing up, as the enormous sign behind her was indicating. But right before she swiped my card she explained that we would not be getting the 20% off because the promotion had expired 7 days ago..." When we complained and asked them if they could still honor it her response to us was that "they hadn't gotten around to taking the sign down and she, nor did anyone else in the store have the authority to honor their false advertisement" I honestly feel that this person was doing these things just to F*** with us. This was just one of the many issues we had with this girl. But to make a long story short...If you decide to make the mistake of going in this store for help with your phone/account avoid any employee wearing the name tag "SHANA". Ill end with this. Shana, some advice for you...when a customer tries to express their frustration with having to be in your store for 2.5 hours because of your incompetence, its not a good idea for a paid employee to respond with "Well I've been here for 6 hours, so deal with it." read more

Waited an hour only to find out they were out of the iPhone 5c... Asked why they didn't tell us that when we signed in and the immature kid they had managing the place told us it was our fault... (Why would we assume they would be out of such a common phone this long after it was released when no other place is out of the phone??) I have been a regular customer of this store for at least 5 years. Positives: Sales people are knowledgeable and know what the are doing. Checkout process is quick. Negatives: Several times, most recently on Saturday - have been dismissed somewhat for shopping for something simple; not a large purchase. Because they work on commission; the sales people are looking for people who are making a large dollar purchase. read more

Less than helpful is being kind. Waited patiently while the 2 employees were helping other customers. We were finally acknowledged 5 minutes after being the only other customers in the store. When both employees were finally free, one decided to help someone who was clearly not next in line, but appeared to be "their people" ft heir words, not mine). The only other employee said he would help us after he "checked everyone else in." Apparently checking people in includes having a detailed 5-10 minute conversation with each person in the store. The only time I witnessed any sense of urgency was when he was helping us. I needed to transfer an existing phone number to my new AT&T phone which seemed to be a real brain buster for the employee Mike. I asked if I could use their wifi to backup from my iCloud. The response was that I could try to use wifi from a cornering restaurant or store, but that they do not have wifi. Yes.....AT&T WHO PROVIDES INTERNET AND CELL PHONE SERVICE DOES NOT HAVE WIFI. The other issue we went to the store for was that the brand new phone my boyfriend had received in the mail kept turning off. No concern or suggestions were given, except to just keep the phone and see if it keeps happening. What a waste of time. Thanks for all the help!!! read more

Well, that's 50 mins. of my life that I won't get back. Okay, the new iPhone is out so it's not the wait I mind, but the high pressure sales tactics. And given my wait, I could hear customers who had managed to purchase what they wanted but the sales folks were still pushing their $7 month phone insurance -- or similar -- which the customer clearly did not want while they knew other customers were waiting. The guy I got repeatedly assured me he was just looking out for my best interest and, although their insurance was close to double the AppleCare+ (over 2 yrs) I should really consider it because if my phone was lost or stolen I would be SOL. When I mentioned find my iphone, he said that would only take care of lost but not stolen as police will not follow up even if you can prove where it is. Lovely. The reason I walked out at the end was -- getting close to closing the purchase (thank god -- I had better things to do even if he didn't), they wanted me to sign the terms, conditions, and rates although they could only orally summarize them -- there was no screen shot or print out UNTIL AFTER you signed that you had read and agreed to them. I won't ever be back. ---- I went on AT&T.com, it took me less than 10 minutes, I got exactly what I wanted. the ordering process was incredibly clear and no heavy-handed sales pitches. I recommend online ordering over going to the store. Oh. and I could see the terms and conditions before agreeing them to them. read more
