Total bad experience at the Verizon store on Louisiana NE, Albuquerque, sales person gave me false information about costs and the person who claimed to be the manager was of no help. I left the store ready to terminate Verizon service; however, with a call to Verizon Customer service the issue was resolved. Just me...I will never go into that Verizon store again. read more

My wife had been with Verizon for more than 10 years until we recently terminated the contract. I bought a new "unlocked" phone for her and let Verizon knew that at the end of the month. We thought that the bill should've been stopped at the end of the month, right? WRONG, they still charged us till the mid of the month while we were not even on their list. Through my bank, I requested my money back for those days. However, they still kept charging me every month through a collect company. After I confronted with the customer service (in INDIA). The manager kept saying that it was on the contract that the contract cannot be stopped at the end of the month. He also questioned me as why I didn't consult with them before dropping the service. To avoid the hassle, I paid the fees for those days eventually. I won't deal with any of my long term customers this way. Wonder what happened to the courtesy of the communication industries? My grandma and I went in to talk about taking me off her account and moving me to my own. The guy we talked to was very cold and had poor customer service skills. He barely explained my new costs and seemed very rushed. I understand that this is a high traffic location, however I feel like good customer service is most important in an industry like this. If I could give negative stars I would. By far the worst customer service I have ever received, and having worked in retail industry, I'm usually pretty understanding of the many possible reasons for less than stellar customer service (e.g., not enough staff to adequately greet and take care of the customer's needs). However, there were NO reasonable scenarios for the completely terrible and unethical service my wife and I recently received at the corporate Verizon Wireless store on 9935 Coors Bypass NW, Suite E,  Albuquerque, NM 87114 (referred to hereinafter as "Store"). A couple weeks ago my wife and went into  the Store to upgrade my iPhone 4. We were helped by a female sales associate (referred to hereafter as "She" or "Her"). She told us that the $200 trade in had passed, but we could a $100 trade in value for the iPhone 4. My wife and I accepted that However, the iPhone 64 gb twas not in stock, so we ordered it through Verizon. Since the $100 phone trade in credit had to be done in store, She offered to give us the $100 credit when we brought the iPhone 6 into the store to be activated. The iPhone 6 arrived on 11/29/14. We brought in the iPhone 6 and my old iPhone 4 to the Store on 12/1/14 to activate the iPhone 6 and get  the  $100 trade in credit for the iPhone 4. A very nice gentleman/sales associate greeted us (referred to hereafter as "He" or "Him"). I had a classic dear in the headlights look, and said "you're kidding.", when he told me that I would be getting only a $25 credit for my iPhone 4, and that they had a $100 credit for the iPhone 4s. I told Robert of what been represented to my wife and I by Her. He went to go speak with Her. When He came back He told us that what She had apparently indicated to my wife and I was that that I was supposed mail the  iPhone 4  back to Verizon to get the $100 credit. I asked Him if I could speak with Her directly, She stood by her story and even added that at the time she indicated we would get a $100 credit, "we" (meaning employees who work at the corporate Verizon stores) have no way of knowing how much the price of a phone trade in will fluctuate on a daily basis. Fluctuate on a daily basis! Where did She pull that one out of? She was starting to appear as somewhat of shyster to my wife, and I. Perhaps She did not realize at the time that the trade in value was for the 4s and not the 4, and therefore should't have made her original representation But even presuming that She was confused on the value of phone trade in, wouldn't  a somewhat competent employee at a corporate Verizon Wireless store know the difference between the iPhone 4 and 4s? My wife then asked to speak with the manager.  It was reasonably clear from the first words coming out of the manager's mouth that he had no intention of rectifying the situation, which is arguably what any half-way descent manager would do to make a 6+ year Verizon customer happy. The manager's first words out of his mouth were something to the effect of, "Well, I've looked everything over..."  it would have been nice if the first words out of his mouth were something to the effect of, "It appear there might have been some confusion on the trade in value, but we like to make things right..." At this point, my wife indicted to the manager and Her that their behavior was completely unethical,. I promise you on my grandparent's grave (i.e., my absolute solemn oath), at NO time during our original conversation with Her did She even remotely mention: (i) that we would have to mail the iPhone 4 to Verizon to get the $100 credit , or (ii) that the value of the iPhone 4 trade in value would fluctuate daily from the moment we ordered the iPhone 4 with her though Verizon. Come on, why would we go through the trouble of ordering the 64 gb iPhone 6 for a $25 credit. We walked out of the Store with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 4.  It turns out that it might be just this store that appears to be somewhat inept at knowing the deals Verizon is promoting and providing quality service.Today I went to the Verizon store on Louisiana Blvd NE.  was taken care of by an awesome male sales associate who seemed very knowledgeable about the deals Verizon was having, and had a much more pleasant, straightforward and out-going demeanor than She did. Even the manager asked how I was doing. In fact, as I observed the entire store, all of the sales associates appeared to possess similar knowledge and demeanor that my sales associate. They just seemed to be a lot happier in general than the employees a the Coors Bypass store. Perhaps this is a reflection of management? No matter, it's clear to me why the Coors Bypass store rates a one star on Yelp, while the Louisiana Blvd. store rates  3 stars on Yelp. read more

So my phone was stolen in Mexico and instead of dealing with insurance I was due for an upgrade anyway and just bought a new phone! While I was in the other day I also bought myself an iPad Pro when we processed that order a glitch in the system put a hold on my account, I was unable to get my new phone on my old number. So for a week I was out on a pre-paid phone number/account that Verizon took care of for me. I came back after the iPad had arrived to get my my phone put on my original number and to activate my iPad. No go. Apparently placing my number as Lost/Stolen shut everything down. I got to the store well before close yet my issues took awhile to resolve the manager and Thomas were amazing! They stayed a few minutes late to help me resolve the issues on my account but we missed the window to get customer care to hold my number to port to a new account. (Like tech support "shut off and turn on" solves most problems if not "shut down account and start fresh!") I am here for the third time tonight which doesn't bother me because I know there is nothing anyone in the store could have done differently to solve these issues. Between Crystal, Thomas, their in store manager, Tier 2, and Taylor at the call center in Tech Support/Customer Care they fixed my phone and iPad account! Their patience with an account that got royally messed up over the past 10 years of switching plans, phones, adding lines, taking off lines, porting in numbers, and everything in between has been a blessing. They all looked at my account and were confused. (I am pretty much a transfer from the company that Verizon bought oh so many years ago). Yes, it is time for a new account. I've had the worse experience with this store twice!!!! The manager and the sales people I dealt with are like scammers. I'm considering going to file a complaint with an authority. The first time my husband went there, his phone was stolen, so he determined to go buy a new phone (paid for in in full retail price). He went in somehow the salesperson sold him a phone, which used my upgrade to do an installment and paid $700 for other unnecessary stuff, an ipad mini 3 to put on our plan with a 2 years contract that we are now stuck with, the phone cover that does not work, the Bose speaker that is now sitting in the corner collecting dust. According to this salesperson, he's trying to save my husband money and these stuff are technically free. That's not all, as I stated above he used my upgrade, the phone is on installment plan which means he's paying for the phone in full price over 2 years. My plan used to be $80.00 for 2 lines 4gb data now it's 94.00 for 2 lines plus 31.98 equipment charges and he called that saving me money. The manager told us that the rep tried to give us saving on access fees of $15/mo by adding the installment to our account. But my access fee was $20/line now it's $25/line plus the equipment fees. They scammed us into a bunch of stuff increase our monthly bills and call that helping us!!!! bunch of BS The second time I pre-order an Iphone 6S, paid off the previous installment mentioned above and put the iPhone 6S on installment. The phone had a glitch and I couldn't activate and after much runaround over the phone with Verizon Tech I went and return the phone. The sales rep returned the phone for me and told me everything is in order. I am now eligible for upgrade because I paid off the installment phone. Well I went to Costco and try to buy a phone they pulled up the account and nope my contract was extended for 2 years. I was on the phone again with a rep from call center. The rep saw the problem and called the store, I'm not sure if I was talking to a manager at the store or a rep but the guy lied to me to get me off the phone with him. He told me that my account was fine and he show that I'm eligible for upgrade it's Costco fault that they can't see that and he's not responsible for it. So I took off from Costco went home and call customer service, they told me that is correct my account is not eligible for upgrade until another 2 years and that he'll have to send an email to upper management to have them review my account and possibly change the dates on my contract. I am going to go to an authority and file an official complaint if this doesn't get resolved. read more

The people in this store are a bunch of nitwits. My grandson broke his phone and needed a replacement, so we went online and ordered it to be picked up at this store. We live over two hours away, so I called to make sure he could pick it up without problems. Talked to Sarah. She said no problem, she would set it aside and it would be waiting for him, just bring his ID and the credit card used to order it. When he got there to pick it up, Sarah called and said he was not on the account. WRONG! She would make him one there - fine. He had his license and social security card. They told him there was no record of his SS# and even made moves to cut up his card. They were so rude to him, saying snarky things about him and about me. Not helpful at all! We were actually worried that the SS# he has used for 18 years had a problem of some sort. NOT!!! I went with him the next day - 5+ hours of unnecessary driving - to the Verizon store on Menaul. In and out in about an hour, no problem whatsoever! What a different experience. read more
