I would like to wholeheartedly, commend jewel, working at the Albany Oregon store. I work with Bonaventure Senior living and brought in one of our residents who has been having problems with his bill forever And has paid hundreds of useless dollars to Verizon. Jewel has spent probably at least 3 1/2 hours with us on 3 visits trying to remedy his individual situation. As well, as trying to talk with corporate through her phone and computer for help. She was not getting a lot of help from Corporate as they would tell her one thing and then when she called back on a second or third visit from us, they had not really even Started doing what they told her they would do Along with the fact that the resident I brought in has very short memory, recall, or understanding, and is elderly. She spent so much time time to explain things to him so patiently and understanding and kind, Of things he didn't really understand and probably couldn't hear I do not hold a high regard for Verizon for charging so many needless things, without review, and taking advantage of someone (Albeit maybe unknowingly) But I do hold high regard for Jewel! Let's start by saying if I could give 0 stars I would give 0 stars for this VZW location. I have been a loyal VZW customer with 5 lines of service for many years now. I have found in store reps to be 100% unwilling to assist unless they are making a sale so I generally use my VZW app to complete most of what I need because I don't want to have unwanted extras added to my account. I added a line onto my VZW bill this week using my VZW app and had to go into this store to pick up my sim. Instead of supplying me the sim that was ordered, the store rep added another unwanted line of service without advising me. This is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe that I am being treated like this when I pay VZW $370 every month. If I need help or need to pick up a SIM I should not have to worry about if the rep is just going to add unwanted extras to my bill because they need commission. These VZW store reps have no desire to assist with anything they are only driven by sales. When I visit a VZW location I expect to be helped with my issue not have my plan and next bill messed up because some rep needs to meet a sales quota. read more

I give people a fair shot when it comes to being decent and professional. I wouldn't give this experience five stars. I went in to find out about a SIM card issue which was mailed to me but it didn't show up. I waited a couple minutes after the older gentlemen was finished with the customer ahead of me and he stood at the door for a few minutes before assisting me. (I thought was kind of strange)The individual was reluctant to help and didn't have a great attitude either. I was told, "there's nothing I can do to help you." I did ask if there was a manager available to see if there was a way to mitigate the issue. The guy said, "actually I am the manager." He was sly and rhetorical. I just left without saying anything. Not worth getting upset or dealing with people who can't manage their lacking in customer service. I'm not impressed and I will not step foot in that building again. read more

I will admit, it's been a while since I've been into this store, but I've had good experiences in here. I'm surprised to read all the negative review about this store. I called this store when the Eugene store was out of the iPhone I wanted. They had like a thousand of them in stock. In fact, I specifically said I'm driving up from Eugene to buy it, so do you need to hold one back? Nope, they had plenty, and he quoted me the exact number to reassure me. Perfect. I walked into the store and was immediately greeted. Thank god it wasn't by some idiot with an iPad to make me sign in and wait for an hour. It was by a real salesman. I said I had called earlier, so I know you have what I want in stock, and here's exactly what it is. Off he goes to the stock room. Three minutes later, I had my phone, and he started the process of setting it up. As he was doing that, he started talking about cases and screen protectors and such. Typical up selling, but he wasn't pushy, nor did he bring out a pile of crap to drop in front of me like they do at the Eugene store. He did have a couple recommendations, took one out of the box, another he had on his own phone, so he let me touch and feel it too. I like when they are willing to give recommendations as well as letting you touch and feel what you're buying without being pushy or obnoxious. I was able to find what would work for me and do well, versus buying what was the prettiest one in the store. There's a huge difference between what's ascetically pleasing and what's functional. So I wanted what was functional and then pick out the color from there. Not rocket science, just good customer service. This guy put the screen protector on as well. If I'm buying it, they can apply it. I always screw it up and they are pros. So I'm kind of pushy there. You want to sell it, you put it on. This guy was more than willing to accommodate my request. He also explained how my bill would change. I already knew this, given I had researched it online and talked to a customer service agent. But he was willing to go over it with me again if I wanted, or just shut up and sell me my phone. I like that choice, and I'm sure he appreciated me being an informed customer as well. I was literally in and out of this store within 30 minutes, and no wait time. It was the easiest phone buying experience I've ever had. I wish all stores were this great. I am definitely a fan! I rarely go into an actual Verizon store anymore, as I just try to avoid it, but if the Eugene store doesn't have what you want, I would recommend giving this store a call or visit. read more

Phone won't work in my area, was told to drive 50 minutes one way to this store. Got in, explained the problem, was told it was a 35-40 minute wait. Ok. During wait I discovered where the local police department posted that Verizon service was out. I went to the counter, was told they can't really check those tickets. My name was called while he was clicking around on computer. Explained the problem to Ryan, he was super nice, looked at my phone, I showed him the SS of what my phone looked like, he agrees and said it was helpful he would call someone. Then he handed me the phone so I could talk to them, the person on the phone put me on hold. Ryan said he was going to multi-task and that either him or the manager would be available for help. Over 45 minutes of hold time, I have no resolution, I had to ask Ryan for the answer to a question that they asked me to find out from him, he grabbed another person and said I was holding with tech support, the manager disappeared and I just wasted over an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I won't go back here again and I will ensure that I share with all of my friends what type of service I experienced here. If you are going to help a customer, help them. Don't ghost them. read more

Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life at a cell phone service store. That's saying a lot since the typical cell phone store doesn't have a good reputation. I will say that the manager here knows what she's doing, and can typically help; however, some of the employees are so incompetent I have now left the store after working with an employee for 3 hours... I was trying to utilize an upgrade on my plan... shouldn't be that difficult. The employee promised a discount and after an hour of waiting with no communication from him, we were told he was unable. HORRIBLE service. He then tried to charge us for cancelling an order we had begun with him, despite the fact that he couldn't follow through with what was agreed upon. We recently decided to change our plan from T-Mobile to Verizon. I have been having issues with my phone for over 2 months now and I was unable to receive iMessages or group messages. After speaking to multiple Apple representatives who were unable to fix the problem, I was at a loss as to what to do. We came into Verizon and were helped by Brandyn H., a wonderful sales associate who was incredibly patient with us as we switched our service provider, got new phones, and who also tried to fix this lasting problem I've been having. Even with a new phone, my iMessage continued to not work and we came back the following day. Brandyn helped us yet again and was able to solve the issue within an hour! Thank you so much Brandyn for your patience, kind demeanor, and for being so so so helpful! I'd highly recommend this store and this sales associate if you ever have complex phone issues! read more

Well I'm glad I came here. I almost drove to Corvallis because the reviews here are so bad. Sure enough I get the notorious "Frankie" mentioned on here. Actually every one in the store was willing to help me. The manager even gave me a discount on my phone case because of the company I work for. I was expecting a terrible experience since I had a not so run of the mill request (wanting an iPhone on a month to month). They did tell me they hadn't done it before but they would try. Frankie worked some magic and made the transition extremely smooth and with his expertise it was done quickly and efficiently. He even transferred my contacts, set up my iTunes, and installed a free back up app for me. Also when I was there he had a returning customer come in that only sees him even if she just has a bill to pay. He was friendly, funny, and had a nice smile to boot. Thanks guys read more

My father is retired and on a fixed income. He called about replacing his phone and was quoted a reasonable amount. After an hour talking to a person who believes that he is a special type of phone salesman who kept trying to upgrade him he left disappointed. The salesperson had an extremely high pressure bait-and-switch game that he was relying on. 2nd rate salespeople always leave the customer somewhat dissatisfied. Condescending and rude with a fake smile is still rude and condescending. I will never enter this location again. I don't care for $2 salesman with the cheap appearance of someone who just doesn't care and presents himself that way. read more

I myself have worked in wireless for 3 years now. Now I may not work at Verizon but I do still have an understanding of how cell phones work and how customer service should be handled. Which is what makes my visit to this store so disappointing. I can't recall the last time I felt so belittle and insulted by an associate. The employee refused to activate an old phone I brought in after my current handset broke. The problem is I can't upgrade until March. I needed a phone to get me by till then. The phone I brought in had been factory reset and was a Motorola Droid Ultra which doesn't have the IMEI listed on the body. The employee refused to activate it saying he can't bypass it without the IMEI. I told the rep I had worked with countless Motorola devices and they have a standard bypass command to get to the main menu in which would allow you to see the IMEI. He told me I was wrong and that Motorola doesn't do such things. I calmly explained to him I do believe it will work and if he could try it. He instead ignored me and watched the football game on his phone and asked me to leave. I then used my friends phone to pull up a YouTube tutorial showing him it can be done and only takes 15 seconds at best. The employee clearly was embarrassed and realized he had no choice but to meet my requests. He finally was able to activate my phone but after the insults and how he didn't seem to care about assisting me I do not see myself returning to this store to upgrade my phone. I love Verizon and have been with them for almost 10 years. But when it comes time to upgrade I will be visiting the Go Wireless located next to Fred Meyers where I have always been served with great customer service. It is a shame to see an employee care more about football while on the clock than the customer. I love football myself but I never would put the game before a customer. When you're working you need to be doing your job and not be fixated on a football game. I will not be disclosing the representative's name in this review but I will say there is another review mentioning him and a similar situation as to what I experienced. I strongly suggest anyone reading this to either post a review expressing similar experiences or a story in which this representative did an excellent job. But until I hear of a change I will be giving my business to a company that deserves it such as Go Wireless. read more

This is the worst Verizon I have ever been to. The customer "service" this place offers is absolutely terrible. Specifically the associate named Frankie, who was too concerned with setting up his phone with NFL Redzone so he could watch the football game before he even started helping me. Once the football game was going he was to preoccupied with the score to properly set my phone up for me. He then referred to the phone that I brought in to have hooked up as a "piece of shit" and that he was going to chuck my phone across the room of he couldn't get it to activate. Then after ALL this he remarks that the amount of data that I use on my plan is absolutely absurd. Well it's my plan and I can use whatever amount of data I want! I pay for it! Overall absolutely terrible customer service. If you can avoid it. Especially avoid Frankie, he's an ass!!! read more

Was talked into a promotional deal here that I did not ask for which sounded great! Unfortunately never got the code that was supposed to be sent to me.. Called and talked to the store and they denied the promotion "we have never had a promotion like that, I don't know what to tell you"... Called Verizon customer care and in less than 5 minutes they found the EXACT SAME PROMOTION and said it had expired a day before I upgraded, so they helped me out anyways as I was likely talked into an old promotion. Baffled this store had no recollection of this promotion but thank goodness for Verizon support team. read more

I am in here quite often mostly due to the fact that i have terrible luck with phones. I seem to break them somehow, or manage to get all the defective phones. When you walk into this nice brick building you are usually greeted politely by an employee who is there to help. The interior of the store is very well lit and organized. It is always clean as well. The walls are full of new phones and gadgets such as computers and tablets. The employees here always seem to have the answer to your question or fix to your problem you are having with your device. If they cant help you, they will usually point you in the right direction so you can find the help you need. The location is nice, and has a large, open parking lot, which is easily accessible. All in all a great store. read more

Received my upgraded Galaxy J7V from Verizon over night mail on 11/22/2017. Went in to Albany store where in the past they have set up and transferred info from old phone to new in the past. This was on 11/24/2017. I was met at the door by a woman with a tablet in her arms, she asked what I wanted, I told her I would like to get my upgraded phone set up and info transferred from old to new. She said, well don't you know it's black Friday ( very condescending ) were to busy, and we don't do that. I responded, this store has done that for me in the past. She said, black Friday to busy ( very smart ass ) but, I can give you a number, do it yourself. Well, I'm almost 70 and don't understand all this Hi-tech stuff. The customer service ( said tongue in cheek ) It was maybe like going to the DMV or any other government office. I will go any place other than here to buy or get NO help.
