Was making the…read moredecision to retire or repair a very old gaming laptop (MSI 2 PC Apache, ~2015) with a cracked screen after its getting knocked over. Was afraid for its age and brand, that no one in town would even be willing to take a look. Simeon offered a great initial price (I'm forgetting the first quote. $40? $60?) to look at repairing the screen, and soldering the hinge back into its socket. He noticed some motherboard damage (water spots, etc) while working, which was not unexpected for its age and wear. While in the shop, he also installed a keyboard I brought in, that I had bought myself but failed to DIY install. Ultimately, even after investing the labor in repairing the laptop, the internal damage was severe enough that it could not be made to boot. Simeon gave me the option to pay the original low cost quote for the substantial repair work, which allowed me to now extract the RAM from my damaged machine (prev impossible w broken hinge), or that for an out-the-door cost of $200, he could upgrade my system by moving my data over to an similar year, upgraded-SPEC ASUS gaming laptop. The laptop is indeed a quality upgrade in game performance for the price I paid. What's more, Simeon's coming up with the refurbishment solution for the cost spared me having to shop for a modern rig at modern prices ($1000+) for a while longer. My SSD was not an exact fit to it so I am still transitioning some of my documents etc data over -- they had trouble finding a usb to make it possible to do this in the shop. This is a small hassle, but doable. The laptop came home ready to plug and play, but the guys warned me that it badly needed a new battery and couldn't hold a charge (shutting down when disconnected from power). Simeon offered to help source one for me, but that they could be expensive and that he would call back with a price and wouldn't pull the trigger to order until he spoke with me again. Had a minor miscommunication w other guy at front desk, where I thought the battery had been ordered before speaking to Simeon again, which surprised me, but didn't think much of. Turns out Simeon was waiting for my go-ahead, though, so I accidentally waited a little over a week with my bum battery without having to. The guys are very nice, so I would say to learn from my experience and not be afraid to follow up more readily than I did if you're curious for an update. When I took it in for the battery pick-up, everything went very smoothly. Remember to use debit and not credit, expensive $2 surcharge for my not paying attention and putting it on the wrong card. Very pleased w the work here, and found pricing very affordable, would absolutely return.

CALL ANY OTHER REPAIR SHOP FIRST. ! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE ! I now wish I would have read the reviews before going here. I also wish you could give zero or negative star ratings. They have cut rate prices AND cut rate service. I brought in a phone for a screen repair only to find that the repaired screen was broken upon further inspection. They said it was not their fault and proceeded to attempt a gaslighting campaign against myself and my girfriend, of which we were supposed to believe that we had unwittingly broken it on the transport home. The gentleman at the store had become verbally combative and argumentative. His initial solution was to replace the new screen with the broken one and refund my money. I agreed as I could tell negotiations were deteriorating and could possibly lead to an excalated situation. They did not uphold their word and bargained agreement as when I arrived, they then said that no refund would be given and they would not be honoring their original service guarantee. I dont know what has happened to customer service these days, but it definitely seems to have taken a drastic nosedive.

Chris said he'd have the key cut and programmed in 30-45 minutes and would call when it was ready. He never called, so I reached out myself--only to learn that he couldn't program the fob and had actually cut the key incorrectly, making it unusable. After telling me this, he just moved on to another customer as if my needs had been sufficiently met. Were it not for Ed, a more experienced associate, I would have effectively been stranded 30 minutes from home. But Ed stepped in and charged my battery, got me a working key so I could get home, and later gave me a discount when I had to return for a properly cut fob. Ed was excellent and really saved the day, but because of Chris' mistakes and lack of follow-through, I can only give this location 2 stars.

I brought it in and they said that I would be able to pick it up in two hours, that worked for me. I picked my phone up after work same day, great! I called a couple of days later to address that the phone battery that I had just paid for wasn't holding a charge the entire day, they blamed the age of my phone... Fast forward to today, I have been experiencing over heating with my iPhone since the battery was replaced. I dropped my phone and the screen needs replaced, I refuse to go back to Batteries Plus, even though they are capable to replace said screen, I no longer trust them for lack of accountability, during the replacement of my screen it has been discovered that they glued my iPhone screen back on and that is what has been causing the overheating of my phone.

My husband contacted Microsoft and they told him to take it to radio shack. We had other shopping to do and drove to the Radio Shack in Salem. We were informed that they could not do anything because my son with Autism took off one key by accident (he is fascinated with how things work) This had nothing to do with the laptop not working, but I understand that employees have to follow policies. I thought about looking at a replacement and the employee was very rude. He said "you get what you pay for" and said it was no surprise our cheap laptop quit so soon. He showed me laptops in the $1000 range and told me that I needed to buy one of those or something nicer if I wanted my children to have decent laptops, implying that I was a cheapskate who bought my kids two pieces of junk. He did this in front of my children. I am not paying $2,000 for laptops and do not appreciate being told I am cheap in front of my children. I will not go back.

Very terse and short with all customers. I know the job probably sucks, so whatever. I had waited 20 minutes to get help because I needed something from the stock room, and had to wait while she activated someone's phone. No one else was working there. Fine, I understand that. Not her fault they are understaffed. Then she got my stuff from the back. The item was on sale, but then she had to do some extremely complex transaction and then go back to the stock room to print something and then scan it so I could save $5 bucks. I commented that their system seems rather antiquated. Then, of course, she had to see my ID even though Master Card policy prohibits requiring showing positive ID. I told her, fine, but that it is against Mastercard policy. Look it up if you don't believe me. It"s my pet peeve that I have to go through a bunch of BS to prove my ID at a retail store, when I can just punch in my card number online and be done. Some weirdo standing there (people were starting to line up in random locations) then asked my "why are you so rude, when she is just doing her job". He was very aggressive, and I realized that the clientele in this place by-and-large seems pretty sketchy. He may have had a point, but that lady and that cluster**** of that place just brought out the worst in me. That guy and I proceeded to have an argument right in the store. He told me the batteries I was buying wouldn't last 10 minutes, and I told him how rude it is of him to insult these fine Radio Shack product.s. He kept right on blabbering about my rudeness as I walked out with my purchase (which I now wish I had just abandoned the whole thing). Well, let's just say my days of Radio Shack are over. To that fine upstanding citizen and that stellar customer service provider, you need not worry that I will ever again bring my rude self into Radio Shack.

As a used freezer, he gave me a 30 day guarantee. Well, after about 2 months, the freezer still worked but wasn't freezing things hard, like ice cream, and was collecting a lot of frost, more than normal. So I called Jaime and explained what was going on and needed a different freezer.
