I'd walked away from another well-known electronics repair place that wanted me to have them diagnose the problem with my iPhone (for a stiff fee) but who told me that they didn't do the repair that it probably needed and that nobody in town would do that repair. The next day I called Batteries Plus Bulbs after checking their web site and seeing that they did a full range of repairs. I arranged a time and walked in with the phone. I was greeted and the tech listened to my description of the problem (wouldn't charge). He said he could replace the charge port if needed and would test the aging battery. I came back in two hours -- the battery had been replaced and the charge port only needed a careful cleaning. The total bill was about the same as the proposed 'diagnostic test' at the other store! The service was good; there were several techs working the counter. Nobody tried to 'up-sell' me services I didn't need. Fixing phones seems like a difficult job, but they met my needs quickly and well. read more

Beware store policy! Drove my RV in, main engine battery kept dying had to use combo switch to get it there. Duracell Ultra group 65 from 6/25 *batteries plus brand. They tested it and told me in order to use the 24 month warranty, since it was at 11v, I would have to leave it there so they could charge and then test it or I go home, take it out and bring it back. Or buy another one, if the old one charges up then I have two batteries...ridiculous, I was told thats STORE POLICY! What if its your only car....what if your on vacation! Don't waste your $$$ here. Go to Auto Z, under warranty they will test replace and install it for you. FYI Store manager, I have a boat (3 batt), RV (3 batt), 2 car batts.....your done with my business, so post your apology.....lol read more

Don't get your newer iphone screen replaced here!!! just go straight to apple....I had my iphone 16 screen replaced here and I paid for the expensive one 289.99 which I was told by the store clerk that it was close to same as the apple screen and better then their cheaper one they had for 199. But ever since the replacement my screen has had a blue tint on the screen so I took it back to them and they told me they could not fix since its a aftermarket screen and it is normal to have that since they don't come with the true tone screen apple has for their newer phones. if they would have told me that when I bought it I would of just taken it to apple to replace instead. Now my eyesight has been bothering me everytime I look at my phone screen. very uncomfortable!! also my brightness adjusts by itself randomly ever since the replacement even with my auto brightness setting turned off which supposedly they fixed too.. Ugh! I requested a refund from them but They will not refund me!! I called ahead to confirm they had a replacement fob for my car, and Chris assured me they did. Since my car battery was dead, I paid $75 to have it towed there from about 30 minutes away. Chris said he'd have the key cut and programmed in 30-45 minutes and would call when it was ready. He never called, so I reached out myself--only to learn that he couldn't program the fob and had actually cut the key incorrectly, making it unusable. After telling me this, he just moved on to another customer as if my needs had been sufficiently met. Were it not for Ed, a more experienced associate, I would have effectively been stranded 30 minutes from home. But Ed stepped in and charged my battery, got me a working key so I could get home, and later gave me a discount when I had to return for a properly cut fob. Ed was excellent and really saved the day, but because of Chris' mistakes and lack of follow-through, I can only give this location 2 stars. read more

BEWARE!!! I chose Batteries Plus because they were available straight away, as my phone stopped holding a charge. I brought it in and they said that I would be able to pick it up in two hours, that worked for me. I picked my phone up after work same day, great! I called a couple of days later to address that the phone battery that I had just paid for wasn't holding a charge the entire day, they blamed the age of my phone... Fast forward to today, I have been experiencing over heating with my iPhone since the battery was replaced. I dropped my phone and the screen needs replaced, I refuse to go back to Batteries Plus, even though they are capable to replace said screen, I no longer trust them for lack of accountability, during the replacement of my screen it has been discovered that they glued my iPhone screen back on and that is what has been causing the overheating of my phone. read more

I went in to get my battery tested because my battery light was coming on. I was told that yes, I needed a new battery. This is after testing my battery to make sure it wasn't the alternator that I needed. I was told that I definately needed a battery. Long story I needed an alternator. I went back to let them know and was told "well your battery was probably old and needed to be replaced anyway." Never again will I go there. I wasted $290. read more

They will say your battery has a warranty, but when push comes to shove, it doesn't. They will not stand behind their products, even as expensive as they are. They told me to call customer service to get help with my problem after it wasn't resolved--a battery in warranty that keeps dying--and were just as dismissive on the phone as they were in person. My battery has died since I got it and they don't seem to care. They "tested" it, said it was fine, and it still died. They wanted to keep my battery even longer than the two days it was already there to test it further. Are you kidding? The battery doesn't work. I went and got a new one somewhere else, a cheap one, and it works great. I even let my car sit for days just to make sure it wasn't a power drain, and it still started right up with the new battery. I've been borrowing my friend's car because of this nonsense, and I was tired of trying to get a battery from these people that actually works. I'd like to drive my own car and not have to have it jumped constantly or stress out my friends who should be able to use their cars without me having to borrow it because of a battery issue! Batteries Plus also want me to return the old battery for these tests (again after two days of testing already) and tried to tell me they accept returns all the time. Yeah, whatever you say. The lady who manages the Lancaster location will talk over you and dismiss everything you say and try to tell you that batteries don't reach full charge after hours of driving. To start with, the employees are great. However, I took my iPhone 12 Pro Max in for replacement screen, mine was cracked. The tech suggested to replace the battery as well since after three years it was down to 79%. Not bad I thought, but told him to go ahead with a new battery. Not a good choice. I had the battery replaced again two days later under warranty and still I cannot get through half a day without charging it. I have to take a lot of photos for my work and the battery charge will not keep up. The original battery I could go for two days. I shouldn't have given approval. The battery is subpar, the screen doesn't behave like an Apple product. The ppl there are great, their phone product such as this, not so good. I wish I would have gone to an Apple Store. Hard to find an honest business that care about the customer. I was genuinely surprised that the employees at this location really care. So, my story goes like this, my charging port on my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus was not holding onto the charging cable very well. I called Batteries Plus Bulbs and we promptly ordered a replacement charging port. I think parts and labor was a very acceptable $89.99. I finally make it to the store and before any work was completed, an associate there was able to discover bits of plastic stuck in my phone's charging port. She diligently cleaned it out and "Voila!" Find another batteries plus. This location needs some education in customer service. I went in to get a replacement halogen bulb. That all went well - they had it and were able to sell it to me without a problem. My issue here was the constant harassment to buy other stuff. First it was piece of crap flashlight. Then cheap batteries. If wanted any of that stuff I would of inquired about it. I hate it when they try to pressure other things like that. I need my iPad battery checked and likely replaced. The company website offered this for tablets at 99.99 and a $10 off coupon. A 1-2 hour appointment was required. The whole thing seemed worth it to me. Where it began to go wrong: I got an email saying they don't check the battery, they just replace it. I was pretty sure the battery was shot so that was agreeable. The email ended by saying the service costs $119.99. I began to feel a bait and switch up-sale was underway. Nonetheless, I could accept $20 more than the website stated for a service I wanted. The breaking point: I brought the iPad in time for my appointment in Salem Oregon today and, in the check in process, was told, "I don't know if you're aware but we'd need you to leave the tablet here for 2-1/2 to 3 days." I looked around at the 5 employees standing around talking and noted myself as the only customer and replied, "I thought this was a couple of hr service." "No. It is with phones but not with tablets." Confidence in Batteries Plus was gone. I cancelled the appointment and determined to find another company to do business with. I went online to figure out where to get my old iPhone battery replaced, as it wasn't holding a charge any more. Found this place locally, and the website asked me to make an appointment. So I did, wrongly assuming (silly me!) that an appointment meant that they would do the work while I waited. When I came in, I told them I was there for my iPhone appointment. They didn't look it up right away and started asking the same questions they would have asked if I'd just come in off the street. Eventually we got to the point where they took the coupon I'd printed off from the website for $10 off, told me they had 3 or 4 phones ahead of mine, and to come back in 2-1/2 to 3 hours. I was truly annoyed and surprised, and asked why on earth I had an appointment in the first place. I was told it was for the $10 coupon. Reluctantly, I handed over the phone, and I was assured that they were "very professional " and that they have so far never damaged anyone's phone in repairing it. I said that "very professional " would mean that they take care of things during the appointment. I left, and when I returned for the phone, was told that they had broken my (flawless) screen, but had replaced it at no charge. They did not return the original battery, so I have to take it on faith that they did they battery, and now the left edge of the screen feels rough to the touch. Altogether, this felt like an ordeal. Next time, I'll look elsewhere or maybe just buy a new phone. At least they didn't try to get away with charging me for the screen they broke, as another reviewer seems to have experienced here. read more

This was my only experience with somewhere to replace a phone screen and it's very poor quality. First off, the screen is harder to activate 3D-Touch. Second, the colors are way off. Third, it's already cracked and I haven't even dropped it yet. Fourth, it scratches VERY easily, would recommend either not buying from this place or using a screen protector with this screen. And finally, now, when this phone gets too hot, either when playing a game or using the camera, the screen messes up and acts like you're pressing everywhere on it. Worst quality screen I've ever used. I rather have replaced my screen with a Nintendo DS screen. read more

I scheduled an appointment online to replace an older battery in my Pixel XL. When I brought it in I signed something and handed it to the guy, he took a look and said it should be about 2 hours. I leave and get a call 90 minutes later stating that they broke my screen while replacing the battery due to a small cosmetic crack in the bottom corner. My phone was no longer operational and it would cost another $120 to replace or I could cut my losses and receive my now broken phone for no charge. There was no offer to fix their mistake and no warning prior that this could be an issue. I can't even get my pictures and other data off of it because I can't navigate to the USB data transfer option without a screen. I wouldn't recommend using this location for their services. read more

I agree with William S. This location does need education in customer service. Brought my phone in after it was not holding a charge and there were several other issues after picking it up for repair. I asked if I could make an appt to bring it in as I was not ready to drop it off right then. They said sure, bring it in any time. So I said, how about tomorrow morning at 8:45 and they said, well, they wouldn't have a technician available until 10:00. Ok, so "any time" does not mean any time. Use more specific language and say: "We have technicians here most of the time. When are you thinking you would like to drop it off?" Dropping it off took 15-20 minutes. Standing in line, getting someone to help, taking it to a different computer, checking all sorts of boxes, telling him the exact same thing I told someone the day before. Either put the information into the computer when the customer is explaining so the drop off takes less time or tell the customer: "It will take about 15 minutes to check your phone in when you drop it off." The fellow says that the phone will be ready at 11:45 which is written at the top of the contract I am handed. I ask him to please email me if it will be ready later than 11:45. I checked my email before leaving to go pick up my phone. At 1:00, I wait in line only to find out the phone is not ready. It will be 10 more minutes. I let the person know that I had asked to be emailed if it was going to take more time and the reply was: "I don't know anything about that." They found out what the problem was - zoom on the Accessible screen was turned on (something I have no idea how to do) and it was causing all the problems. They said that I must have done it because they don't change any settings when they are working on phone. As the person is telling me this and showing me on my phone, she starts closing my safari searches on her own. I am panicking as I see what she is doing. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was just closing them and they could be brought up later. After leaving and sitting in my car, I tried to bring up my safari search history since that was the log of projects I was currently working on. Since they said that they never made any changes, I hadn't worried about writing down the sites I had up on my phone. When I dropped the phone off, I had about 10 sites up and they were both my list of "to do" items for the week, and were the result of several hours of research. I could not figure out how to get my recent sites back so went back to the store. After 10 minutes, she said that there was no record of them. Two weeks worth of work researching and it was all gone - deleted without my permission by the person who said they never made any changes on the phones they worked on. The phone works, the technicians were fine, the service was horrible. read more

Unbelievable... called in with an issue with a headset battery. The manufacturer and re-saler of headset said it was about as cheap to buy a whole new headset instead of just the battery. That was true when working with them but I called Bateries Plus and they knew the right battery and had it in stock... all for under $15. Hi names Hayden I went to batteries plus to buy a battery in April at batteries plus I originally had a yellow top ultra battery in my mustang but didn't want to spent 225 on a deep cycle so I asked their customer service about which normal battery would work best for my application and power demand. He told me the battery he he has would absolutely work for my mustang and it's on 125 well 8 months later the battery completely died on me they said.. so I go and try to replace the battery with my warranty and they tell me it's voided because it's at too low of a voltage. When I bought the battery the dude told me I could replace it if anything happens now they want me to pay another full battery price to get another this is completely unacceptable as a business structure only had this in my daily for less then 8 months do not go here go somewhere else that has a ACTUAL WARRANTY because how are you going to sell a battery that dies completely in less then 8 months it's supposed to be a 3 year battery. what the hell batteries plus bulbs I've literally be coming here for all my cars and phone repairs for the last five years and y'all straight up LOST me as a customer!!!!!oh also when asked Justin says we can't sit there and explain vital parts of the warranty to our customer we don't have 15 minutes to tell them everything about your warranty but you just told me in 15 fn seconds. so honestly they just seem lazy if that's their excuse seriously one of the WORST experiences I've had with this place I will update after I get ahold of the manager read more

This place was awesome! After calling a place near the airport and getting and unfriendly voice I called this place and got a friendly person plus they offered extra information before I asked for it. My iPhone 5 was run over multiple times on mission street with an otterbox defender almost saving it. My screen was black and smashed into hundreds of pieces BUT Siri was still talking to me! So I went in hoping they might be able to save my phone just enough for me to do a backup. The friendly guy at the counter sort of chuckled when he saw the shape of my phone. He and I both knew it was hopeless, but I had to try! Ed was the tech guy on duty that day and he called me twice to ask me specific details about what I wanted done with my phone. He even called his coworker Levi to help him troubleshoot through fixing it. Once he thought he had it fixed he let me sign it out and try to back it up so I could decide if I wanted to keep the new screen or just pay for labor and toss the phone. I am just SO impressed with the customer service these employees have. Not only did they save a phone that was stupidly left on the roof of my car and smashed by multiple cars, but they did it with total class. Not one of those employees made me feel like an idiot for thinking my phone was worth saving after I did such a dumb thing. They smiled and said they would see what they could do and then totally rose to the challenge and succeeded! I highly recommend this place if you need a phone fixed. Brought in my phone for a screen replacement. Picked up phone, all seemed well. They made me sign a bunch of releases before giving back my phone, that all was well and such. It seemed that all was well at first. However after a couple days, the phone developed a black dot under the screen. Within 2 days the spot became several times larger, at which point I went out of my way to return to the store. The guy upfront noted the problem and it was evident that there was a defect in the screen. He showed the manager who said LCD is cracked, no warranty. When I showed the defect in the scene to her, she said I must have caused it.....under the glass. I took my phone to at&t down the street and showed them. They agreed with me, that the new screen appeared defective. $260 I paid for that repair, which they wouldnt stand behind. I will never spend another dime at batteries plus, and I used to go there a few times a year. I hope it was worth it to them. read more

I would NEVER recommend to get a phone repaired here ! I brought in my iPod with a broken screen to get repaired ,they quoted the repair close to 200$ which was ridiculous because it wasn't even a bad crack . They took 2 weeks to fix it ,when I came to pick it up the screen wasn't put on right the edges would up and down when you tap the screen .The home button was all crooked too ! I told them to fix it and they got angry at me , after they finally agreed to fix their horrible work it took another 2 weeks ! FINALLY I got my iPod it looked fine until I got home , the iPod wouldn't connect to the Internet unless you were pretty much on the router ! I never had this problem until they ruined my device .NEVER GO HERE! Horrible work ,mean to customers,overpriced,takes to long and sketchy neighborhood. read more

We thought we would have to purchase new ones. We took them to Batteries+Blubs and they not only charged the batteries, saving us $500, but also carried them out to the car for us in the rain. read more

I was in last week because I was told by a few friends that there is a man there that is really great with fixing phone screens. So I went there they gave me the cost of $129.99. However they had to get into my phone to test it to make sure nothing else was improperly working. Which I couldn't even get in to my phone because the screen was shattered, it turned on and I could see things but the screen glitched.....They told me they couldn't run any test and to fix it they would have to just go for it and I would sign something which was never really explained to me what I was signing. NOR did I get a copy of it. (MIND YOU I had to get it fixed my phone is my work and life line to work) So I come back 6 hours later, to get my phone which he said was fixed just fine and I took it home it worked the next 3 days until all of a sudden my screen goes black, with just a bluish ominous glow in the back. I clicked my power button a bunch and It kind of comes on then will fade out. It looks as if its not connected right with the wiring inside. Sometimes I will work for a while then boom goes black and wont turn back on at all for hours. So I called and let them know what's going on and they basically told me I'm shit out of luck. It was fixed when I picked it up. I told them this is my work phone I don't have means to just go out and get a new phone that's why I opted to fix the screen. So now I'm stuck with a broken phone which I paid $129.99 with no guarantee or warrantee to bring it back should something go wrong. GOD FORBID a employee didn't fix it right. Its always the customers fault there... I am appalled that they don't take better care of their customers like that. didn't even offer to maybe look at it again and see if he maybe messed up.....No I was shut down the instant I asked any questions. They fixed my cracked screen perfect no problem, woke up one morning and there were rainbow lines and a black spot growing on the side. I wasn't completely worried considering i have what I thought was a 6 month warranty but no. They said the warranty wouldn't apply considering I must have dropped it again, which I didn't . Very fast service. Checked and replaced both car key batteries with no problems. All sales people were very friendly and sociable from what I observed. The only reason I didn't provide a 5 star review was the upsell for phone shields. This may not have bothered me so much if we were there for phone issues.
