We had the prefix menu ($19/person) and we were not disappointed. My gf had the corn tempura, which was da bomb dot com and I had the ceviche, which was pheNOMNOMenal. After that we shared the rabbe linguine with fennel sausage and clams and my gf had the shrimp and grits. We almost sucked the plates clean. It was that good. We had drinks, which were good, but the food took the prize. The service was unobtrusive and professional. read more

Really nice outdoor restaurant with beautiful views of the Biscayne bay. Even the walk to this restaurant through the park is gorgeous. The food is good quality. Nice variety in the menu. I came here for lunch on a Saturday. Had the chicken club sandwich & a spicy Bloody Mary. I was happy with both. I was seated right away without reservations & service was good. This is my new Saturday brunch spot. It's great solo or with friends. I didn't visit the Perez museum but will next weekend when I come back for brunch. read more

Came here for brunch on Sunday. We had a reservation for 1:30. When we arrived, we were told they were a bit backed up and wouldnt be seated for another 15 min. 20 min later, we were seated. Waitress came over and took our drink and food orders. We ordered one mimosa, it took about 20 min for it to arrive. Then our food came roughly 20 after that. The service wasn't to attentive. You would think they would have it together as Sunday is a big brunch day, but far from it. The food was OK, pricey for what you get. if the service was better they would get 3 stars. DO NOT come here during busy times, the wait, service and price is not worth it. read more

Unexpectedly great food at this restaurant!!! We ordered salad, sandwich, a pizza and the squash. Really awesome flavors and fresh ingredients. Service was also great & hosts were very accommodating. Doesn't get much better than this! The view is amazing at night! So I ordered the shrimp salad not thinking much of it then I had my first bite...seriously might be the best salad I've ever had. The dressing or what ever they did to it was ridiculously good. I know sounds weird for a salad to be so good yet so simple. The prosciutto pizza was phenomenal. And the steak was very tasty...the chard it came with not so much but never had chard before. Wish the menu had a few more options. Great place to surprise someone with! read more

Verde is a museum cafe and often those are quite mediocre -- even in great museums. Thus, Verde's score benefits from surpassing expectations. In the realm of museum eateries, in fact, Verde is about as good as it gets; I would say it's the best museum restaurant I've visited. I'm happy to say that it's another feather in the cap for the new Perez Art Museum of Miami. The wife and I have been here twice. The first time was a bit more impressive than the second. The menu varies a bit from season to season so the items we ordered won't necessarily be available to every guest. On the first visit, we had an appetizer of Beef Carpaccio (with pecorino, rocket, charred onion and croutons). For our entrees, I had the Calamarata Pasta (a dish of rock shrimp, tomato, chili and guanciale) while my wife tried the Jonah Crab Ceviche with aji limo, avocado, pickled onion and fresno chili. Her dish was an appetizer, but enough to fill her up. We shared "crispy French Fries" with spicy curry aioli. While the fries themselves were nothing special, the curry aioli had a nice kick and unusual flavor. On our second visit, we shared an appetizer of Bigeye Tuna Tartare with lemon and horseradish. As an entree, I had the Chicken Under a Brick featuring yukon potatoes and chimichurri. The Missus had Caribbean Red Snapper (cooked with avocado, red quinoa and cucumber yogurt). The Tuna Tartare was the best thing we had on either visit. I found that the Chicken Under a Brick was less tasty than the Pasta I had sampled on our first visit. The service was attentive, if a bit slow. Overall, however, it was a beautiful restaurant with good food and decent prices -- and best of all connected to a museum that is well worth visiting! read more

Just came back from a group lunch at Verde and once again, I'm impressed with the quality of the door at a museum. We were a group of 9, which can be a little daunting but everything went well. We ordered pizzas, burgers, salads and soups and everything came out well. A few missteps were I ordered my burger with a side salad, expecting a small side of greens, maybe some cherry/grape tomatoes, cucumbers, dressing, you know, a SALAD. Well, what I got was a handful of spinach. That's it, no other description needed. There was no toppings, no dressings. Just some water droplets from where they (thankfully) washed it. I asked for a side of fries instead. Then I looked at the other salads at the table, they were beautiful, and ironically, none were made with spinach. So where did the spinach come from? The chicken club sandwich looked amazing, a whole nicely charred chicken breast on the toasted bread. The burger itself was cooked exactly to temperature. The margherita pizza was really pretty too. The service was good as well, I was impressed that our server took our orders, drinks and food at the same time and didnt write anything down. She only missed one mark and had to come back to confirm, but out of a party of 9, i think it was a win overall. At the end of the day its a great little spot if you live or work around the area and need a bite, the location is beautiful and the views cant be beat. read more

Walked in with some girlfriends on one of the monthly free PAMM Thursday's. We were pleased to see they had a full bar available. We ordered our food to go because the kitchen was about to close. We all three ordered the Brussels sprouts and the tuna tartare. The Brussels were roasted to perfection. The tuna was fresh and had the perfect pea size drop of aoli. I highly recommend stopping in for a tasty bite next time you make it to the museum. I gave four stars because there is a lack of communication between the kitchen and the girls and the register taking your order. 2 of us had ordered and when the third one went to order she was told the kitchen was closed. They ended up making her Brussels since we had just ordered them anyhow. Our 3 other friends walked in minutes later and were unable to order. read more

A Museum restaurant, so slightly more pricy, but a great location, excellent food, and a nice view of Biscayne Bay. And very convenient if you are making a nice day at the Miami Art Museum (err.... This place really offers a mixed impression. Hostess is not friendly at all borderline rude. Service at the table is good. Food is also decent to really good depends by the day (very hot or miss) The lady barista is very rude while the french male barista is really experienced and attentive. I really want to like this spot BUT the management seriously need to work on welcoming staff, it's the branding of any spot. As per food... well, let's say the the other day it was a very "Miss" surely not "Hit". I went for a salad, the same late afternoon I suffered a food poisoning and ended up at the emergency. Was sick for 4 days, until yesterday. Was it the food? Was a virus in the air? A virus in the food? I just know that the dressing did not taste right... but it would be unfair to point fingers without fully knowing what the cause was read more

My sister "needed" food while we were at PAMM Thursday evening. My expectations were low, knowing what may lay ahead. Hostess, seating, service were all good, as was checking out. Unfortunately, they dropped the ball on the food. Sister liked her lentil soup. The Rainbow Carrot Salad was a visual hot mess, it arrived looking like they grabbed a handful of arugula and threw it on the plate, which I am 100% sure they did. The "rainbow carrots" were buried, instead of being the star, with their color and shape. A bad carrot hummus was buried under the arugula as well. And should stay buried. And no bread or flat bread for the hummus, I mean w t f? Sister ate the greens and nothing else for $13, I mean really. I was looking forward to the Escarole Heart Salad. Sent it back. Don't say it is the "hearts" and send out the nasty outer leaves that make good cow fodder. I mean really....... The Carbonara pizza was very salty and greasy and barely had any pancetta, was the line cook paying for the pancetta out of thier own pocket? I mean really....... Bloody Mary is highly recommended. Espresso was good. Three out of four plates were total thumbs down. The chef is "out to lunch" so to speak. Pathetic. read more

The food wasn't bad but the service is horrible. I hate to pull the race card but it felt like discrimination. The waiter we ended up having was nice so I'm not blaming him. We were the first to show up to the restaurant but they happily tended to everyone else that showed up after us first while making eye contact with us each time. I wanted to like this place, it seemed to have a decent vibe. The fries we got didnt match any of the pictures of fries they had online and the order of bacon was overcooked so that added insult to injury maybe your experience will be better, I hope it is read more

Management really needs to focus on training their staff with positive and welcoming attitudes. The hostess with the shaved head and eyeglasses is a total b-tch. She has no people skills whatsoever. She mistreats the other hostesses working with her and speaks to them like they are beneath her. She has no shame in doing so because she speaks in a pretty clear tone instead of whispering to them. She isn't friendly with the patrons waiting to be seated and hardly made eye contact with anyone. Her attitude was super nasty. Our waitress was very nice, but forgot to give us plates and utensils. Food was mediocre. Tuna tartare was bland and tasteless. We really enjoy visiting the museums, but we will never come back here for our lunch break. Take an Uber to go somewhere better in Downtown. read more

Honestly food was decent and extremely over priced. I wouldn't come here unless you're at museum and are starving. And even then I would probably walk across the street to sushi sake or Sagrado. The service is subpar but the view is great. Pretty cool ambiance if you go in the afternoon. This place as a whole is subpar. They definitely could have some better food options on their menu and make better drinks. My drink hardly had any alcohol it tasted like it was nothing but juice. I won't be coming here again that's for sure. I got a salad and it was blahhh. The dressing didn't match the salad. The dressing was disgusting. read more

The service and view is the only reason for the two stars in this review. Todays lunch was overpriced for no reason considering how horrible the food was. We ordered a tuna tartare and shrimp tacos as an appetizer. The tacos were probably the only good/decent thing. We then went on to order a salad and a pasta. Let me tell you... that was the worst pasta I have ever had in my life. I have so many questions like why add kale and croutons to a pasta??? Anyways, with the salad we got a side of asparagus which tasted so burnt and had the weirdest taste. Gladly the service was great. Overall I would recommend eating somewhere else and stopping by for a dessert/coffee/tea to enjoy the scenery without overpaying for poorly made food. read more

I came to Verde for lunch after visiting the Frost science museum next door. It was a hot July day but I sat outside and the temperature was quite nice in the shade with the ocean breeze. It's a nice water view by the bridge. The menu is like a modern middle eastern fusion, and the food I got was absolutely fantastic. I got the mezze platter with babaganoush, a creamy cheese/yogurt, and tomato/pepper dips. The fresh spiced pita bread was pillowy soft, delicious and baked to perfection. My kiddo got the cheese pizza and ate the whole thing, so I guess he liked it. We got the pistachio honey donuts for dessert and those were also amazing. This was a nice little find, I look forward to coming back. read more

My friends and I came to Verde because our Airbnb recommended it. The outdoor seating area of the restaurant has a great view of of the bay and Port of Miami. We decided to sit inside by the windows, so the view was still great. We came on a weekday, so we didn't get to try the brunch menu, but still had a decent time here. My friend and I were torn between which pizzas to get, so our waiter recommended the Carbonara and Wild Mushroom. The Cabonara was delicious on the first bite, but any after that was disgustingly salty. There was just too much going on. They definitely could tone down on the salt for this one. The Wild Mushroom was fantastic though. The mushrooms were amazing, and the flavors just meshed well together. This is a good spot to eat if you're also visiting the museum, but I don't think I would've came here to dine if I wasn't planning on checking out the museum. read more

I LOVE VERDE! Besides the fact that the scenery is absolutely beautiful, the food is delicious every time without fail! I always order their "Chicken Under A Brick" and any one of their pizzas are excellent! Also, something important to mention -- their service is stellar -- well, maybe that's because I always make sure to ask for the first server I ever had, which is Lilly -- she is great, knows the menu from top to bottom, always give excellent suggestions and is super attentive and nice! I'm sure the rest of the staff is just as good, but I don't take any chances and always make sure to ask for her! One of my favorite places to eat in Miami and especially when entertaining people from out of town, but it has a lot to do with the setting. Horrible service. This place is really unorganized. We arrived at 10:15 on a Sunday for brunch. The hostess told us she couldn't take our name and that we should come back at 11am when they start their meal service. (No where on their site does it say they start at 11am btw). When we returned at 11 there was a line of 15 people in front of us- which was really annoying. We got a seat - which was fine but all we could talk about was how unorganized and unprofessional this place was. Food was average. Our waiter was sub par. We would ask him what he recommended and he just stared at us. He actually said: "everything is good". He also never smiled. It was almost awkward. Great ambiance though...just wish they would have better management and more professional service. read more

Brunching is a big deal for me. So I was very excited about having brunch at Verde and to visit the museum. The customer service was good, I called ahead to let them know I was 10 minutes behind and the guy who answered the phone was very nice and understandable. The view of the Park museum is amazing. My preference when I made the reservation was to have outdoor dining, but they couldn't sit me outside. They don't guarantee a table outside (first-come first-choice). The food is very poor quality, they don't serve anymore a lot of drinks or plates that I saw on other Yelp reviews. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict, and English muffins were dry and rock hard. I had the sweet potato pancakes and it was ok, but not as good as expected. Overall the place is very attractive, relaxing and the service is good ,would I go back? I think not, Better food with nicer view here in Miami. We ordered 2 mimosas, the classic egg Benedict and the sweet potato pancakes for total of $57.24. The food was not great found it to be on the expensive side for what they gave us. I'll recommend you to grab a coffee find a place to sit or walk around the park to enjoy the view. read more

My son LOVED it, which gives it a star on it's own. The most delightful thing about this place is that you don't have to spring for attendance to the museum to hang out here. You should however spring for the 10c phone call at your local phone box to make a reservation as it seemed everyone around us had one. While we had no reservation, the snots who were behind us were all huffy puffy about not being seated IMMEDIATELY because they had one (helloooo Miami). The staff however, were smooth and diplomatic and we DID get seated first (in-brain fist bump). We hemmed and hawwed and wondered and couldn't decide on lunch/brunch but eventually decided on pancakes, burger and chicken club sandwich with the avocado on the side. and a bloody Mary, which I cannot expound upon, as I hate the fuckers, but Alma H. drank it all so it must not have been bad. and a passion fruit caprihiana thingy which I ordered, which I would never order again. Very tart. I ended up ordering a beer to wash the sandwich down with. Anyway. My chicken club sandwich was AWESOME, Normally I would only eat the half of one of these, but I ate the whole thing. Alma eat her own burger and give the wee size of her compared to the burger, she may never eat for the rest of the week. Good food. Great service. AWESOME view. read more

Finally got a chance to visit PAMM's Verde restaurant during my break while I was taking a workshop. The view as you can imagine is strikingly beautiful. The restaurant is situated right next to the 395 and the bay with a view of the post and the cruise ships. It also overlooks their outdoor seating and ridiculously spacious patio. Let me start by saying this was a quick lunch, table for one. I ordered the beef carpaccio and the crispy fries. Carpaccio was a very small dish on the appetizer menu and luckily I wasn't that hungry. It was very good but I really wished there was more. The fries were delicious and crispy as promised and came with a curry flavored aioli. Definitely going to try more items on the menu when I come back with the Big Yibs. FYI they are only open for dinner on Thursday nights. The rest of the week it's a lunch place. read more

Verde has a great view, and it's food is pretty good. Either seating outside or inside will be nice. Reservations on the weekends are a must. Either have a bite before or after walking around the Museum, the views never disappoint. Verde changes their Menu, Fall, Summer and Spring. Ordered mushroom pizza, which was a thin crust, a bit on the soggy side on the middle. The Chicken Club Sandwich, definitely an excellent sandwich with fries. Bread is toasted, bacon, avocado, chicken is so good, that the juices start coming out of the sandwich once you first bite; yes you don't want to leave anything in your plate! French fries are lightly flavored and served with fried cilantro, awesome combination, simple ingredients, great food! read more

We made an Open Table reservation for lunch and were seated and served with quick dispatch. We chose to eat outside overlooking the bridges and Bay, and beneath the story high topiary that sways in the ocean breezes. Lunch was exquisite. I had warmed shrimp salad. How amazing and unexpected was this VERDE!!! Not only was it in the GORGEOUS PAMM, the food was spectacular. I shared quite a few things at my table of four. The STAND OUT star was the Tuna Tartar!! Everything else was a DELICIOUS CLOSE SECOND! We shared the squash blossom pizza that was thin light with a touch of goat cheese, perfect! We also shared the "under a brick chicken" that was perfectly seasoned with Chimichurri! I'm not even a chicken person and I would order this again. Caribbean red snapper with quinoa, YUM! It was all perfection. read more

This place flocking blows. I ordered a few items, but my issue was with the "Crisp Baby Gem Caesar Salad" which is described as "farmhouse egg, house made pickles, anchovy, parmesan dressing" at $11. Sounds lovely enough. I mean I just want a small salad to accompany my pizza, I don't have my hopes too high. But what I got was a brown takeout container with 4 pieces of lettuce. Whole leaves of lettuce. Not chopped. Nevermind the questionable egg droplets on top. Wth is this green crap? I asked to speak with a manager, as someone obviously forgot to cut the lettuce. No biggie, it's a busy place I can def understand. So...manager shows up, and I ask if it could be chopped. The man looks me in my face and says "Oh would you like it chopped?" I kind of had a Larry David moment and was like..."Well it's salad...its supposed to be chopped." "Well we usually don't do this but sure if you like I can get it chopped for you." ? ::Puzzled Face:: I mean the man was not rude by any means, but c'mon don't treat me like one of those customers...I'm a manager...I know what those customers are like...Cmon man its salad! I'm not being ridiculous here, am I? I also ordered the fries, Margherita and Squash Blossoms Pizza. Which were just fine, but out of principle alone I cannot condone this kind of behavior. On the outside, the restaurant looks fabulous, but lets face it, you aren't coming here for the food. You're trapped inside the museum and food is a ways away, and they know that. So the salads are 4 pieces of lettuce and they charge you $11. But this being the case maybe you opt for a pastry and coffee and eat afterwards elsewhere. Your money would be better spent in the gift shop next to the cafe anyway! read more

The view is spectacular (if you made a reservation in advance and got the chance to actually have an outdoor seat). The food is decent and the level of service can use some work. The food quality was mediocre considering the pricing. We went during lunch on a Tuesday without a reservation and had to sit inside as the outside was booked. I wish we knew that ahead of time as it was beautiful out. Greeting our table took very long as they try to serve as a fine dining restaurant by having many different people serving one table, a greeter, a drinks person, and server, and a busser and the issue is that they spread them out over too many tables. Our waiter took awhile to finally be found and we weren't able to order from anyone else in the meantime, grrrrr, and once he was found, things were much better. It really seemed like they were understaffed and the mangers were scrambling around. I mean it's Basel week, you need to have your whole staff working. The waiter wasn't very good at doing table check backs and I think it was because he had too many tables. He was also slow to get more ice, napkins, etc...nice guy though, very personable. I had the veggie sandwich with a side salad as I am post Thanksgiving mode, my mother had the salad with the green goddess dressing, and my grandma had the chicken sandwich with a side of fries. VEGGIE SANDWICH I used to be vegetarian so I've had many of portobello sandwiches in my lifetime. The mushroom was way too thick and tough to even bite into it. This was the messiest sandwich I've eaten in a long time. I had to end up splitting the sandwich in half and using a knife which was also difficult because that is how tough the mushroom was. The cheese on the sandwich did not work either. I would just skip the cheese altogether or switch it to goat cheese. The bread was ciabatta which is just way too bready, too tough, and I hate when a veggie sandwich turns into an all bread sandwich. You do order a veggie sandwich to be healthy. I would change the bread to a much softer bread (especially with the portobello being so tough) like a brioche bun to soak up the marinated flavors, a soft egg bread, soft wheat, or a whole wheat wrap. The side salad was excellent! It was just lettuce (which was kind of a letdown) but nonetheless it was really good. Dressed perfectly. FRIES The skinny kind. YUM. Wayyyy over salted through and I really do love my salt. GREEN SALAD (with chicken) It was really good but I would skip the green goddess dressing (it was a bit over dressed and was way too creamy) and go for whatever dressing they put on the side salad. The chicken was mediocre and tasted like a pan seared version of airport salad chicken so I will be skipping that next time. The pricing was Miami moderate, about $20.00 per person without alcohol. I will definitely be back to give this place another chance because the views are stunning but now I know not to expect the highest quality of food. read more

You can't beat the atmosphere at this new restaurant located at Perez Museum. I happen to want to go to the museum so I figured I would try out Verde. I am really glad I did because this place is a big hit. First, parking $2 an hour so coming to this restaurant is not an issue since there is a huge garage. Even though in August and it is hot and humid so how they managed to shade this place so you do not feel the heat. So yes we did sit outside for lunch. The menu is basic yet the quality is outstanding. WE got a shrimp salad with a buer blanc sauce that was amazing with sliced has avocado fanned onto the plate. Also, I got the chicken sandwich that came with fries that I actually ate ! I am not a huge fried food fan but these fries were phenomenal. The place is a little pricey but you pay for the view.
