Came here for brunch on a Sunday. If the weather is nice def sit outside. We parked at a parking lot which was $20. It's a 5 minute walk from the museum. My friend was saying there's suppose to be a garage somewhere but we weren't sure where it was. Our reservation was at 11:45am and there were plenty of seats available still. Outside and inside. I got the Perez chipped salad with chicken. Which was really good and filling. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. I also ordered side of fries. They weren't all that. I personally like thick fries. These were the thin type. As for my drink i wanted the pomegranate sangria but they didn't have it so I got the orange rose. Still good! By the time we left (around 1:45ish) the place was packed and we could tell our server wanted us out even though we would have still sat and ordered more drinks. read more

Undeniably the worst service I've ever had. We were seated for to mins before being greeted by the waitress. Drinks came about 20 minutes after that, but two were missing... 4 meals came probably 40 minutes after we ordered, some meals incomplete with missing sides. Then the two missed drinks came (two lemonades)... last two meals and some of the missing food came after about 1.5 hours of being seated. Asked for the check and to go boxes. Cool place but I felt like the service was some type of practical joke, but it wasn't. read more

This was my first time here and the Brunch was amazing. I had the classic eggs Benedict which with crispy potatoes and my mom had the breakfast burger that comes with an eggs and bacon on top. The service was good from beginning to end and I would recommend Verde to anyone that wants to enjoy a good meal while being near the water. 5 of us came here for lunch on a recent Friday at around 1:15. We weren't visiting the museum or attending an event at the PAMM; On the contrary, we'd just heard great things about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. We arrived with no reservation and were seated within about 3 or 4 minutes. Our server was there right away to offer waters and to answer any questions we might have about the menu. I ordered the chicken under a brick with Yukon potatoes and chimichurri sauce. Others at our table ordered the squash blossom pizza, roast chicken club and the prosciutto pizza. Everyone seemed happy with their meals. The two of us that ordered the chicken under a brick both seemed to have the same opinion: The chicken was very salty, the chimichurri sauce wasn't the best either of us had tried, but we'd both be willing to order this dish again. For dessert, we requested 2 orders of their sugarcane donuts with dulce de leche and coffee dipping sauces for the table to share. The donuts were quite good but not outstanding (and probably not worth the calories). After trying both the dipping causes, the dulce de leche was the clear winner IMO. 4 of us ordered cappuccino or espresso to finish off the meal. Total bill for the 5 of us was $113.44 before gratuity, or $22.68 each once split 5 ways, which the staff was happy to do. Regarding décor and ambiance, Verde is located inside a concrete structure with full height glass walls on 2 sides which give outstanding views of Government Cut where the cruise ships dock, and the area where the former Miami Herald building was located. The concrete ceiling is lined with hanging reams of tan fabric, which along with the wooden tables and chairs make this place feel warm and give it the feeling and appearance of a European style bistro. I saw a charge for Verde on my credit card statement and I wondered for a while as to where the hell is Verde, or what is it? After jumping on the computer, I figured out Verde was the bistro located on the first floor of PAMM. Ah! So that's what it is, I said to myself. What can I say about the little corner inside PAMM? They have pastries, they have coffee, they have pizza, they have drinks. They also have appetizers and real food, but I haven't tried the real food. Also, the drinks that I had were not on the menu, since I kind of was at a private party. I didn't even think they would have their own profile on Yelp! Instead I assumed that they were part of the whole PAMM complex. Wrong! Verde is around the corner from the gift shop. PAMM is all about large flowing spaces, so there are no walls separating the admissions area, the gift shop and the restaurant, instead, it all flows together. Verde itself is divided into several areas. There is a coffee bar with pastries ( you can buy alcoholic drinks there also), there is the sit down area that comes with the hostess and the table service (sits about 50 people), and there is a patio area where the lines blur. The sit down area is a vibrant space, with lots of light and people talking, and in direct view of the bay. The outside area could be quiet, or hyper, depending on when you go. To say that Verde is a minimalist, modern space is almost redundant. Service at Verde is pretty good, if you factor in the brand new staff and brand new space. I have received different levels of service, most likely because whatever was working on week one was not working on week two. I am optimistic though, and I think that as the dust settles, Verde will find its true identity and service will be consistent. The food that I have tried has been pretty good. It is not a five star restaurant but everything has been good. In other words, you will not be disappointed with your food. But what I found surprising is that Verde exists. Not just a café, a bar, or a bistro, Verde is open to the public and to those that do not want to go to PAMM but just grab a bite to eat there and enjoy the view. Admission to the museum is not necessary to enjoy Verde, and that may be where the small restaurant stands, as the restaurant that sits inside a museum. read more

COLOR ME CONTENT. Enjoying the breeze, the water view and the hanging gardens on the patio at PAMM. It's such a relaxing yet fabulous Miami moment! We were 3 for lunch on a second Saturday when admission to the museum is free, and I was awfully glad we had a reservation. There was a very long line at the concession stand, so long, in fact, that we had to be quite assertive to find our way to the hostess station. We were seated in a lovely spot in the shade--come to think of it, all the tables are in the shade, thanks to the amazing design of the patio, which must be experienced in person to appreciate. We had a cold crisp bottle of Prosecco, heirloom tomato gazpacho, turkey sandwich, gruyere omelet, and a warm shrimp salad. Everything was delish! Gazpacho had lots of sweet red pepper, so it was very sweet indeed. Shrimp salad was the super-star. The atmosphere was completely unfussy. There were families strolling the patio, people were wearing shorts and sandals, no snoots. Still, the food and service were really lovely. Prices were about what you'd expect--$8 for soup, $18 for shrimp. I'd love to come back for dinner sometime; I'm sure the lights at night are beautiful. We tried the cheese plate, the squash blossom pizza, the hamachi sashimi, and a side of Verde's crispy french fries. Everything was delicious. On return visits, the cheese plate and squash blossom pizza will be must-orders. The space is very open and airy, which is great considering its location right on the bay. There's seating inside and out, so you can really take advantage of the waterside location. True to its name, Verde features lots of green decor. Prices are reasonable, and service is pleasant. We met some friends at the Perez museum one weekend and we decided to have a late lunch here, mainly due to convenience. I'm really giving it three and a half stars. The food is quite good. However, it's expensive for what it is. I had a warm shrimp and avocado salad with a white truffle beurre blanc dressing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the dressing was really to die for. But it was small and it was $19. For a salad. We also ordered a fruit plate that was beautifully presented, a Margherita pizza and a burger. Everything was delicious, the burger was well-cooked, the pizza was lovely. Service was very slow. It took at least 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered. It was late afternoon and there were maybe 4 tables occupied; the fruit plate definitely shouldn't have taken that long. Also, we all ordered sodas but also asked the waitress for water all around and she didn't bring any until we requested it for the fourth time. After we paid the check, the waitress came over to tell us she gave the the wrong check and that we owed more money. Come on guys, really? Get your act together. Your food is good, let's work on the service and maybe bring the prices down a few bucks and then we'll see about coming back. read more

I'm gonna go ahead and give Verde the all elusive 5 stars. Truth be told it's probably more like 4 stars, but that warm shrimp salad, combined with impeccable service is pushing me up. After touring PAMM we headed here for lunch. We didn't have reservations so we weren't able to sit outside, but inside was quite fine with me. Our waitress was attentive and made sure our waters (the cups were made from the bottoms of wine bottles - so small) were always refilled. Steven C. had a cappuccino and once finished was kicking himself for not getting American, which would of course include refills. As if she read his mind she came over and asked if he'd like a free American refill! The ambiance is minimalist chic which seems quite perfect for it's location. I loved the drooping ceiling fabrics, potted plants on each table giving just that hint of green and the muted wood tones. The view outside it's half bad either. I'd come back here without the museum visit just to enjoy the views (oh and food). We decided to split the squash blossom pizza and the warm shrimp salad. The pizza came already portioned on two plated which I though was great. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't anything special to me and the amount of oil coming off of the cheese was a bit of a turnoff. However, that warm shrimp salad, that's the stuff dreams are made of. I had to hold back and not lick the plate because it was that good, not to mention the presentation was just beautiful. We skipped dessert, although they sounded great, knowing that our Miami adventure day would include a few other stops....but we'll definitely be back in the future! read more

If I lived in Miami I'd sit here all day to enjoy the beautiful waterfront view and good food. I ordered the gazpacho (always a delight on on a hot day) and a caprese salad. Both were absolutely wonderful. My dining companions seemed just as excited about their meals. The service was spot on too, especially for a newer restaurant. And they scored extra points when they brought a complimentary chocolate pudding dessert to our table for being the first customers. We had a lovely chat with the manager, which made me an even bigger fan of Verde (if possible). This place is inside a museum and very nice and trendy. The food is good but expensive , for being inside a museum you think they will be kids friendly, but it's not , nothing in the menu is good for kids. I ordered a burger thinking that It would be decent for my child, but it come with some harsh strong flavors not suitable for kids, The lame waiter should have warned me. ( and the pizza is nasty by the way). Remember this is inside a museum and there is a lot of families bringing kids. I'm always excited to try the new kid in town and after carefully searching for a brunch spot on the water, I came across this little place. The setting is the best part. The Perez Art Museum and surrounding structures are turning out so beautifully. Upon walking up from the lower parking garage I was taken back by the amazing views of the intercostal and MacArthur Causeway. Even more spectacular are the "hanging gardens" suspended from the rafters. It's a site to see. Regarding Verde and it's brunch... On first arrival this cafe-style dining establishment has a clean, airy, and yet cozy atmosphere. Love that they have outdoor seating, which although quite far back from the waters edge, still gives you a lovely view of the garden and ocean. What we had... Our server was very nice and attentive and explained the menu to us. She gave us some suggestions on the drinks to try so we started with the sangria. It is not your typical sangria as it was made with prosecco. I enjoyed it definitely for the bubbles and was quite refreshing. We also tried the mimosas with blood orange which was also good and the guava margarita which was my favorite. Now on to the food...It was three of us so we all decided on something different so we could share. - Steak and eggs: it was tasty. The meat was tender and flavored well. Order medium if you like medium-rare. Eggs were sunny side up and a little dry. Comes with homefries which were good and a spring salad. - Spinach omelet: not that great. The eggs were cooked perfectly which was nice but the omelet lacked flavor and seasoning. The mushrooms were definitely canned. - Pancakes: 3 big pancakes which was nice and came with strawberries, but i'm not a fan of boxed mix and you could tell that's what it was. Overall the service was good, the view was great, the drinks were good, and the food was OK. The salads, sandwiches, and pizza are probably the way to go here. I have come to Verde on numerous occasions for bunch after being in the area for other events. The venue feels very posh, yet reasonably affordable. Beyond slow service! The menu is not that impressive either. Not many choices... Not the best. I ordered the endive salad (I'm vegetarian) and to my surprise it was like biting into a piece of steak. The endives are grilled on the same grill as the steak, so they have a pure steak flavor which makes it a little awkward when you are avoiding eating meat. Won't be back for sure! SOLID! Went to Verde for brunch after visiting PAMM on a lovely Saturday afternoon. Reservations are strongly encouraged, especially weekends when crowds swarm this gorgeous restaurant sitting on the edge of Biscayne Bay. Food was exquisite and cocktails were above awesome. I would not have imagined ordering a cocktail here, but the Passion Fruit Cilantro Caipirinha shouldn't be missed. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect! (if you like PF and Cilantro, of course). I had the steak and eggs with romesco and roasted potatoes. Beef was cooked to perfection, and so were the (sunny-side up) eggs. My party ordered ceviche and tuna tartare for starters and they really raved about taste and quality. For seconds they had Lobster Egg Benedict and this was the most sinful, succulent variation of the classic egg dish. It was really amazing and a dish I would order on my next visit. This place is Swwweeeet! The views are beautiful, the ambiance is nice and the restaurant is very airy and bright. I came to Verde for Sunday brunch with my girlfriends and was not disappointed. We started with the flounder fluke special which was a bit on the smaller side but I enjoyed the flavors. It had thinly diced mango on top with a slight kick. Good stuff. As an entree, I order the Scottish wild caught salmon that came with a side of arugula salad that had dill and thinly sliced onions. It also had a hard boiled egg on the side with some crispy toast. It was a good dish. I saw there was a drink made with passionfruit on the menu (I take every opportunity I can to have passionfruit juice! ) and asked the server if they could make me a passionfruit margarita. The bartender made probably the best passionfruit margarita I've ever had. I think they should add it to the menu. ;) Our server Tyler was very accommodating and friendly. He made the already great experience, even better. We all shared the pancakes as dessert along with the donuts. Can I just say that if you dine here, you must try the donuts with the condensed milk sauce. The chocolate sauce is nice too, but you need to try the other sauce. It is heaven. Yes, the view and ambiance are the best part!! We went here for a couples lunch. Thankfully we had made a reservation, because our chances of sitting outside that day without one would be a gamble. Our waiter, although busy, was very nice and willing to make suggestions and describe items on the menu. We all had blood orange mimosas, which were amazingly delicious! Everyone at the table was happy with their food. I had the Chicken Under a Brick at the waiter's advice and wasn't disappointed. It was seasoned well and served with chimichurri and potatoes. The restaurant is attached to the Art Museum so you can make a day of it. Also the landscape and lounge chairs plus the smell from the ocean mixed with the on-site coffee bar cant be beat. To start the strawberry mimosa special was a delicious twist. We had the avocado on toast & the pizza with an egg on it, which was gone almost as fast as they brought it out. The Shrimp and grits are wonderful, but spicy (and if you have read any other of my reviews, you know I cant handle it). My eggs benedict was perfect, even changed the muffin for toast. The chicken club, was hardy and my brother loved his steak and eggs cooked just right! We left with full bellies and great family pictures. This place never ceases to amaze me. Every time I eat here it's a completely new experience. After 6 times eating her, I would definitely say this is by far one of my favorite places in Miami. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the waiters and staff here make it such a great experience. Rick, overseas the everything here to make sure everyone has the best culinary experience possible. Today we ate the lobster Benedict which is one of my favorite items on the menu and the brick fired chicken. The quality of the ingredients was fresh and had the perfect flavor. I especially enjoyed the chicken because it was organic and had such a juicy and well seasoned taste. I have been to Verde in several occasions and never disappointed. I just love this place overall. The decor is minimalist, the service is great and the ambiance is just so artsy! It is a perfect place to have a business meeting (not too loud), to meet old friends or even just because... My favorite thing here is the Blood Orange Mimosas... For brunch on a Sunday, they are perfect! I usually pair them with Eggs benedict on a Sunday or with a nice Burger on a week day. Always ask if they have a set menu. On some occasions I have been able to get a Set menu for a fixed price and includes three courses. Which are usually to die for... Verde is the restaurant in the back of the museum. It was nice and elegant with a view of the bay, but they were not prepared to handle such a large party. We had 12 people, and they broke us into 2 groups of 6. Then required us to unseparated the tables. Really? You couldn't figure out that waiter 1 has these 6, and waiter 2 has the other ones at the other end of the table? Our group ordered the squash blossom pizza, brick oven chicken, and the lox. The pizza was nice and thin, and very basic. The chicken was nice and flavorful, and I didn't try the lox. The place was nice enough, but if you cannot handle a party of 12, do not accept the reservation. The food was slow, the service was slow, and the one of the waitresses had quite an attitude. 3 STARS at best for being too pretentious, and not focused on business. read more

We started with cocktails, which were incredibly delicious. We requested no sugar, which was no problem, and they were made to order. The food was very fresh and veryyyy good! I have no complaints whatsoever. I ate the warm shrimp salad with avocado. The dishes here are a bit pricy, especially for what you are getting, but it was all very yummy. I dined here for a birthday party with a group of about 13 girls. The wait staff was great and accommodating: our water glasses were always full and the food was mouthwatering. The first time I ate here I ordered a burger! I dined here again for lunch and shared pizza and a salad with a friend. They were both bigger than expected and were even better than my first time I ate here. The prices are reasonable, particularly considering it's beautiful location on the water and in the art museum. It would be a great location for an event! They have a classy, fun deck to host events. read more

Museum dining has a bad rep. Think about it. At least in my experience, when I think about the last couple of museums that I visited, whether it was while on vacation in Europe or spending a weekend in NY, it's always the same thing: museum food ends up being an afterthought, something I just decide upon on the spot, if it looks good. Well, my friends, I am happy to admit that today, I have been proven wrong. In my never ending search for a different type of brunch other than the typical South Beach hotel or Lincoln Road experience, I ended up paying a visit to Verde, the restaurant at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), in Downtown. This modern, waterfront restaurant has become one of the main attractions of the beautiful PAMM building, attracting hoards of people practically all week long, for both for lunch and dinner. Even though Verde's indoor, air-conditioned seating might look tempting given the summer heat, I strongly recommend going for a table outside, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of Biscayne Bay. When it comes to my experience at Verde, I have to say that I was quite impressed both by the top quality of their food as well as their reasonable pricing, most of their brunch dishes being under $15. Upon analyzing the menu with my friend, we decided to go for brunch classics: the Gruyere Omelet and the Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict were made to perfection, and the omelet was so fluffy and cheesy that it felt like a gruyere pillow in my mouth (in a good way!). We also ordered a side of crispy, thin cut fries which came with a curry mustard dipping sauce that was ah-mazing. All this we downed with refreshing iced cappuccinos, though I must admit that I experienced some serious FOMO when I saw my neighbors Passionfruit/Cilantro Caipirinha, but I decided against it and save the calories for the French beignets dessert, which was well worth it. These fluffy balls of heaven are as divine as they look in the pictures, and the best part was that, just as I was about to order a 2nd cup of coffee to dip them in (my favorite guilty pleasure), back came the waiter with a creamy chocolate and coffee dipping sauce. The combination was just perfect! The only down side of having all this delicious brunchy fare is that I couldn't help but devour it all. Needless to say, I felt a quite stuffed afterwards, so the visit to the museum came in very handy to walk it off. In a way, Verde proved my museum dining theory wrong in more than one way. Not only was their food fantastic, but also, it ended up attracting me in such a way that the visit to the museum ended up being the afterthought. The great thing is that you don't need to get a ticket to the museum to enjoy Verde, but, since you are there, I would always recommend checking it out! Just came back from a group lunch at Verde and once again, I'm impressed with the quality of the door at a museum. We were a group of 9, which can be a little daunting but everything went well. We ordered pizzas, burgers, salads and soups and everything came out well. A few missteps were I ordered my burger with a side salad, expecting a small side of greens, maybe some cherry/grape tomatoes, cucumbers, dressing, you know, a SALAD. Well, what I got was a handful of spinach. That's it, no other description needed. There was no toppings, no dressings. Just some water droplets from where they (thankfully) washed it. I asked for a side of fries instead. Then I looked at the other salads at the table, they were beautiful, and ironically, none were made with spinach. So where did the spinach come from? The chicken club sandwich looked amazing, a whole nicely charred chicken breast on the toasted bread. The burger itself was cooked exactly to temperature. The margherita pizza was really pretty too. The service was good as well, I was impressed that our server took our orders, drinks and food at the same time and didnt write anything down. She only missed one mark and had to come back to confirm, but out of a party of 9, i think it was a win overall. At the end of the day its a great little spot if you live or work around the area and need a bite, the location is beautiful and the views cant be beat. read more

After such a long wait, we were finally seated! The service was very good, of course lovely ambience! We had their gazpacho, was a refreshing soup! Their fish carpaccio with mango salsa was good, would be better if they didn't go that heavy handed on sauce. Chicken under a brick was tasty! This place has potential! The hamachi sashimi feels like fresh fish & green dancing in the mouse. The pre-dining bread sticks is one of the BEST in any restaurant. The pastry of the cafe is also different and delicious. On par with any boutique donuts shop! The crowd is the issue, maybe they need more staff? So when u visit PAMM, this is a must. I could have sat here all of yesterday Sunday and enjoyed the breeze, the view, and the architecture, besides the great menu. Verde has the potential to be that regular lunch spot but first a few things. The service is unfortunately inconsistent. My server, a dirty blonde-haired guy, was not pleasurable. He offered very short answers when asked about items on the menu, kept spilling my water all over the table, and while I was first thinking it may have just been just with us, I caught his demeanor just as rude with other tables, tossing the check at the neighboring table, etc. I kept hoping his shift was over and someone else would take his place. The other servers seemed very pleasant, particularly a dark haired guy with a bit of facial hair. While our food was fantastic-- beautifully presented and very fresh ingredients (as one has come to expect from Starr) I did find my Chicken Club to have been pretty salty, but that's okay considering the bacon etc. However the fries were almost covered in salt. I couldn't finish my fries because of it. However the tomato gazpacho was divine! As was the tuna Tartare! The snapper was so good too! I look forward to trying a few of the other things on the menu on my next visit but will make sure not to have the same server. I'm very fond and familiar with Stephen Starr's restaurants and I'm looking forward to his new venture in Bal Harbour. Makoto was and still is a favorite of mine; I eat there several times a month.
